  The Savoy Opera House is truly magical for a wedding. The food that was served at our wedding was phenomenal and all 270 of our guests said the same thing. The service was amazing and everyone was so helpful and kind. We were beyond happy with the outcome of everything. I would recommend this to everyone, especially because of the pricing. It is an amazing price for the quality of everything.

  I could not have picked a more beautiful venue, and it was very reasonably priced. They allowed outside catering but they also have a kitchen to provide catering for events. The venue is so beautiful and has a ton of character, also a fairly large venue to accomodate large guest lists( mine was about 350). The woman that handles most the venues business, Ashley, was absolutely wonderful! She was so nice and professional and helpful right from the start. However, the event manager who oversees the actual event, was very unpleasant to deal with. He was unprofessional, unfriendly and quite rude on the two occasions I saw and dealt with him. I cannot even remember his name, he barely introduced himself and never gave us a business card or any way to reach him other than by calling the venue during office hours. During the meeting with the caterers, he was very condescending and short and extremely bossy. All that would have been forgotten about, however during my wedding their was a bit of cake smashing of course. After I got cleaned up, I walked by him and apologized for the mess. He turned to me and snapped that "In 20 years of doing his job, he had never seen people smash cake on each other" and made a huge deal about cleaning it up. I don't know how this man has done weddings for 20 years and has never seen a bride and groom cake fight before. Besides that, who in the world brings that up to the BRIDE on her WEDDING DAY???? Extremely bad form on his part. Other than dealing with that man, my wedding was beautiful and perfect and oh so memorable!! I definitely recommend the venue, just make sure you deal with Ashley and not the event manager, if and whenever possible!!

  We had our wedding reception at the Savoy Opera House in Trail Dust Town. Everything was great! Their value was good compared to many other places, and their setting is fun and unique. They have a huge room, with a large dance floor. The food was wonderful, and the service was great. We worked with Casey and Ashley before the wedding, to finalize all of the details and such. Overall, they were pretty responsive. On the night of the wedding, we had JB who was working our event. The only negative I have is that during the reception, I looked over to the other side of the room and noticed JB with people who weren't part of our reception walking through. He was giving them information and a tour! During our reception! I just didn't think that was professional at all. It's one thing to have them look through the windows, but to actually be giving a tour in the room during the reception is tacky. I work at a hotel and would NEVER EVER give a tour of a room while it's in use.
  Otherwise, it was a great experience. If that one thing is the only problem I encountered, then I'd say it was a good experience overall.

  This venue is absolutely gorgeous and made for so many beautiful pictures. Everyone was so amazed by it and the set up inside was absolutely lovely. A few things to complain about is that the first time we tried their food we didn't like it so we asked if we could try a different item. We were made to feel like we were being spoiled because we were told something along the lines of "That's odd because in the whole time I have worked here not a single person has not liked our food. We don't give another tasting". They were accommodating and did give us another tasting and that time it was super yummy so they definitely redeemed themselves. The next complaint is that we payed extra to rope off our reception space so no one would come in and within an hour of the reception starting we had people walking in and out of the area and mixing in with our guests outside. We had people moving the ropes and stepping over them and security did nothing to stop them. By 8 pm (our reception ended at 10) the ropes were completely pulled off and set to the side in a neat pile as if someone from the crew had piled them to put them away. Security did nothing to fix it or even put the rope back. That was really upsetting to be paying for a bit of privacy and not getting it. Other than that everything was amazing. They even let us in early to decorate since my husband was the one to decorate. Ashley is always open to setting up meetings and doesn't hesitate to let you into the venue whenever you ask. She was always really nice and quick to respond. Getting ahold of her over the weekend was tough but that was completely understandable since, of course, it was the weekend. All in all we were pleased with our venue.

  Super beautiful location! The dressing room is only large enough for two people and it's incredibly weird to have the bride walk through the kitchen to get outside. Very nice staff. We were a little taken aback by the cost, mainly because we didn't read everything properly. They were also very gracious with us and willing to work with us when at the last minute 20% of our guest list cancelled. Their house sound is awful and when we attached an iPod it didn't sound much better. I would suggest bringing in musicians

  Ashley at Savoy Opera House was amazing, she either answered my calls, or returned them in a timely manner. She was willing to work with my Groom and I on decor, and allowed us to set up the previous evening . Ashly was a life safer!
  The only complaint I had was with the person who was suppose to be my "go to guy" I didn't know who he was until well into the reception, he gave my vendors a hard time, asking them when they were going to leave ( this was at least an hour and a half prior to when our time ended) .

  We had our ceremony on the outside gazebo and it was beautiful! The reception was held inside which was decorated nicely. The working crew at this venue were on top of things and kept things running. Thank you for a memorable wedding.

When confronted about it, they claimed that we were informed about the limited seating. After several minutes of arguing with our very childish acting rep, they finally agreed to pay for rental chairs. The manager was finally contacted after the fact and nether him nor our rep ever apologized for the miscommunication or even showed any sign of remorse. The place was gorgeous though and the wait staff during the reception were the only people who were friendly and very helpful. I chose that place for sentimental reasons but I wouldn't recommend anyone holding an event there.
