We hired Savory Roots to cater our wedding on 11/16/24, and our experience was top notch! From the delicious food to the professional and friendly service, they greatly contributed to our amazing wedding experience (and that of our guests). We and our planner worked with Megan to design an incredible menu and make sure everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. When our first private tasting did not go as well as we had hoped, the owner, Melanie, promptly responded to our concerns and offered a complementary second tasting, where we were able to finalize our menu. We used Savory Roots Catering for our wedding. We worked with Megan over the course of our planning to create the perfect menu for our guests. We made several changes along the way and Megan was a dream to work with while answering our questions and updating our menu. The food was truly amazing and the service on the day was exemplary. We were so pleased with the results and have had several of our friends and family tell us it was the best food they’ve ever had. It’s been two weeks since our wedding and our guests are STILL talking about the amazing food! I can’t say enough good things about them and I highly recommend Savory Roots Catering. -

I loved my experience with Savory Roots! The communication leading up to the day was clear, friendly and efficient (thanks, Megan!). Our wedding day was perfect, I loved the team we had. They truly took pride in a job well done. We chose the farmhouse grazing table and buffet, the food was wonderful! Everyone was raving about how delicious everything tasted, and the grazing table is the most magnificent charcuterie experience you can imagine. They even brought a sample platter of it for the bride and groom while we were getting our portraits taken. Thank you Savory Roots for the incredible catering at our wedding! The appetizers and entree were spectacular. We were so pleased with the presentation of the meal and the exemplary service of all your staff. We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with you. we had so so so many compliments on the amazing food we had from savory roots. They made the most beautiful charcuterie table and passed around the most delicious chicken and waffles and meatball sliders. The staff even brought appetizers over to the wedding party and family while we were taking photos since we couldn’t be part of cocktail hour. Most wedding food is the stereotypical chicken steak fish and it is almost always mediocre. Instead, we had a buffet line of Cuban and bbq and they combined them so people could choose from both. Everything was hot and juicy and unbelievably delicious. We took the extras back to the hotel with us and for the next 2 days... -

Planning my wedding was stressful to say the least but I'm so happy I went with Savory Roots for my catering! They helped relieve any stress, they were professional and accommodating. Any questions I had or last minute details I needed to add they were quick to respond. The food was fantastic and I had several guests say how much they loved the grazing table during cocktail hour. Jessica was amazing! She plated my husband and I's food and brought it over to us. She left us a little thank you gift with water, crackers, chips, etc. which came in handy later on when we were hungry. Thank you guys so much, you helped make our day perfect. -

Choosing Savory Roots to do our wedding catering was the best decision we made for our wedding! All of our guests are still talking about how amazing all of the food was and how beautiful everything was set up! we were fortunate enough to have savory roots cater our wedding as well as provide food for the bridal party while getting ready. Savory Roots was part of our wedding package at our venue and was chosen for us. We couldn't be happier with the food and the guests as well as vendor said it was the best all around mixture of food they have ever had at a wedding and it did not disappoint. We had the wedding tasting for our stations a couple of months prior and made it so hard to choose our stations because all the food was so good no matter what you chose. I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SAVORY ROOTS FOR ANY OCASSION THAT YOU NEED. -

Me and my fiancé weren’t sure what we wanted when it came to food for our wedding, but Savory Roots literally has SO MANY CHOICES! We ended up choosing their burger bar, and we are so excited to have it for our wedding! We attended one of their tasting events and honestly, if we hadn’t chosen the burger bar the choice would have been so hard because we loved EVERYTHING they had there to sample. There are so many choices and the food is delicious so you really won’t go wrong with any thing you choose! -

We hired Savory Roots for our wedding and could not have imagined anyone better! Their food was over the top fabulous and had our guests RAVING about all weekend long!
From the moment we booked with them, they were on top of communication and kept me feeling relaxed the entire process. When it came to wedding day, everyone was so pleasant to talk with and they gave top-notch service to our guests.
We are so thankful for their team! If you are getting married, LOOK NO FURTHER, hire them! -

Amazing quality yummy food
If you're looking for quality, tasty and downright AMAZING food look no further. Everyone I spoke to at Savory Roots was beyond helpful and made our wedding day food so highly memorable. We had been searching for 10 long months trying caterers after caterers with no luck. All I wanted was simple; good food that I knew me, my husband, and my guests would love, and that's exactly what they brought. I so badly wanted to take photos of our food but forgot because of the chaos that is a wedding day lol. This is the food we had at our tasting, man oh man *chef's kiss* it was soooooo good. As guest's send me pictures I will be sure to add more. CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS ENOUGH!! -

Was Blessed to find this place.
My son was married Nov. 24th 2018 in Dade City and we used Savory Roots for both our rehearsal dinner and the wedding catering at an alternate venue the next day. We could not have been happier. We live on the east coast of Florida about 3 1/2 hours away and really didn't have any idea who to select for our event. We were SO FORTUNATE to have found Savory Roots, encouraged mainly by online RAVE REVIEWS which were right on!. The rehearsal dinner was held on the site at Savory Roots, the building of which was once a gas station (the old, cool kind made of cement--reminded me of Andy of Mayberry). If you’re looking for a food vendor who does it all I think Savory Roots is the best pick! Our experience was easy and stress free, the tasting was nice and I think the food was exactly as good as it was during the tasting. The guests were all fed and happy, the buffet was super easy and my husband and I had our own plates made which was great too.
They gave us snack packs and we had our own tray of food delivered to us with drinks down at the ceremony site while we took pictures and it was AWESOME. The lil Smokey’s may have been my husband’s favorite part of the whole day! -

Savory Roots was so flexible with us as we had more than one contract revisions and were even willing to accommodate us last minute when we realized we had more guests than anticipated. We had to reschedule our wedding due to a medical emergency and they were so understanding. We loved that they provided coloring books/activity books for kids and served my husband and I food and came back to check up on us and gave us extra food during the dinner service. We did their cash bar option and we didn’t hear any complaints from our guests. Very professional and lots of great food options.
