We recently got married in the Virgin Islands (St. John). We hired Savanah to shoot our "Day Before our Big Day", Wedding Day Photography AND Sunrise Sail/Trash the Dress Session. SHE WAS WONDERFUL!!!! Savanah is not only an excellent photographer, but such a kind spirit! We couldn't be happier with our pictures! If you're looking for a photographer in the VI...wedding, family shoot, engagement, newborn...you name it! Whatever the occasion, LOOK. NO. FURTHER! -

Savanah was such a joy to work with, she did such a great job capturing our wedding day and made us feel immediately comfortable like we had been friends for years. The final images turned out beautifully and exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend for weddings/lifestyle shoots/to grab a cocktail with! -

Hunter Sent on 12/12/2017We absolutely LOVED working with Savanah! All communication was done through email so we could easily refer back to everything discussed and she was very quick to respond. She provided us with plenty of information and a detailed timeline so we knew exactly what to expect from her on our wedding day. Planning destination weddings can sometimes be stressful but Savanah was the most helpful and informative person we worked with throughout the whole process. We received our entire wedding album in excellent time and could not be happier with the photos! We would definitely recommend Savanah to anyone planning a wedding in USVI.

Amy Sent on 12/17/2017Savannah went above and beyond for our special day. We are from Indiana and traveled to the Virgin Islands for our wedding. Savannah was very attentive and quick to respond to us. I had little hope that I would find a photographer within our budget in paradise, but we did! I love how Savannah was very organized with her payment system and it was extremely easy. I was unsure of exactly what beach we wanted to get married on but after speaking with Savannah she was able to help us find our perfect location. We were married on Francis Bay beach, St Thomas, it was breathtaking and really a fairytale. I can't thank Savannah enough for how we were treated and the amount of professionalism she showed us. She even took upon her self to transport my maid of honor and I so we didn't have to ride the taxi (basically a open bed of a truck with a roof). Savannah enough knew what I was going through and was emotionally supportive and understanding. My Father had cancer and was very sick he had stage 4 lung cancer that had went to his brain before we left Indiana to get married I had to make the desicion to leave my Father which was placed in hospice care the day my fight was taking off at 6am. I stayed with him until 3am, didn't want to leave but my Father assured me he would be there when I returned and he wanted to hear all about it but more importantly he wanted me to be married so he knew I was taken care of. It was very difficult boarding a plane knowing what I knew but more importantly it was very difficult getting married without my Father present. It was just my husband and I and a couple we brought with us, it was a very tiny wedding but we wanted it small like this. Savannah understood my emotional break downs. But there is one thing I will always remember and one picture in particular I will always hold dear to my heart and I will share with you all, a picture of my father giving me away via a phone call. My eyes are shut in tears talking to him picturing him smiling.

Victoria Sent on 12/05/2017Savanah was the perfect wedding photographer!! We had out wedding ceremony on Hawksnest beach on St. John, usvi. She was more helpful than my wedding planner! She planned the day out for us and made it so easy for me and my family!! I love her and will use her again! I’m planning family pictures with her next! She’s awesome!!! I would recommend her to anyone!

User2622524 Sent on 05/25/2016Savanah took our engagement photos in St. John and then was kind enough to come all the way to Texas for our wedding. She is the sweetest and is great to work with. She knows just how to prompt inexperienced subjects (like my husband and I) so that we got beautiful photos. It's also a huge plus that she provides digital copies of the photos so we can print them ourselves. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants to work with a friendly photographer who will shoot your event with a smile! -

She got our photos to us within two weeks of our wedding. They were stunning I have to say. TOTALLY what I had in mind and well worth the money. She was patient as we had a large rowdy crowd. We were married on the day of the SCOTUS decision, and she created gorgeous images that we will cherish forever.

There are not enough words to truly express how phenomenal Savanah is. Not only is she the nicest, easy going person - she is an amazingly talented photographer. To us, the most valuable take away from this special day is having beautiful, honest, natural photos to be able to share with family and friends, and also to have them to remember that day, exactly as it was, days after, years after (no matter how hard you try to remember every single moment)....she captured everything that was important to us - without us having to even think about it. The beauty of working with Savanah is that you confirm the date - she takes it from there, advising the best timeline (incredibly helpful when planning destination), she arrives on time or early, and has a presence that is so discreet (even calming), she captures every moment perfectly, but will also chime in with suggestions if asked. We were so elated with our ceremony shoot, we booked another session on St. John a few days later. We love her and cannot say enough great things - our advice: you will NOT be disappointed. And she is very quick to respond if you have any questions prior to booking or prior to your shoot. I've already recommended her to several friends, have received so many compliments from family/friends about the photography, and we look forward to working with her again in the future!! -

Claire Sent on 12/11/2014We had a couples' session on St. John, and are using the photos instead of an engagement shoot. Savanah was fun to work with. Our sunrise shoot was one of the highlights of our trip to the islands, and the photos are wonderful. -

Poor communication, unorganized and makes excuses.
I found Savanah on Wedding Wire to shoot our small wedding on St John. Everything seemingly started off great, she seemed super sweet - booked our wedding and we were texting about her moving to the Atlanta area - I gave her recs on places to eat, visit, etc. Fast forward to the wedding in St John on 6/23/23, I thought the shoot went well except for she forgot backup batteries to her camera and had to leave the wedding, and we did not get many photos of the reception b/c the time we paid for ran out. I thought no big deal, it happens and we moved forward.
I then reached out to her on July 6th and asked her what a possible time frame would be of when the photos would be complete - she responded the next day and said “July 21st or sooner”. I thought awesome, it actually seemed super quick and so when July 22nd rolled around I sent her another text because I hadn’t heard anything and asked if the pics were going to be on the same link as the sneak peeks. Mind you - she has her read receipts on her texts and so I could see that she read my message and didn’t respond. I waited until the 24th and texted her again and she finally responded and said sorry she was busy and they would be complete by that afternoon. That afternoon rolls around, crickets. I ONCE MORE had to reach out to HER on July 26th and checked on the status.. she then sent me a disappearing voice text that said she left the SD card on St John but she was going to work on them from scratch and resend. I sent her a voice text back saying okay. Another week rolls by and you guessed it - I had to text her, and this time I lost my patience and told her I was frustrated all while she did not respond again and I could see that she read my message. That was the final straw and I told her how unprofessional her conduct had been, and I’d been patient and if she would have been the one updating ME and reaching out to ME this wouldn’t be an issue. Her response was trash and instead of apologizing and recognizing that she was giving me the run around and set an unrealistic timeline for the pics - she just doubled down and tried to play victim and told me I wasn’t being patient lol.
Insane to think that this is how you operate as a business owner especially after people pay you thousands of their hard earned money for your service. Such a shame because I’m from Atlanta and since she moved her business here was looking forward to using her in the future and recommending her to friends/family. Will never think twice about. The photos she took of my wedding were good, I will say but I can tell she got lazy with the editing because of our skirmish. If I could give 0 stars I would. See attached screen shots of her conduct. -

Awful! Savannah went off on us through text for no reason
After scheduling engagement pictures with her, we went to the Virgin Islands and we’re so excited. We messaged her the morning of because we didn’t have a confirmed meeting time. She told us a time and we asked if that included the extra half hour we purchased to be sure because it didn’t align with the sunset time. SAVANAH WENT OFF ON US! She sent back multiple texts paragraphs long that was super unprofessional and emotional. She said she could no longer work with us because of our “energy”. She cancelled our session and went as far as to say she would tell all her other photography friends to not work with us either. We did nothing wrong other than ask for the time to meet and make sure it was correct. She should not be allowed to run her own business.Savanah Willow Co.'s reply:
I'm glad you were able to speak your truth here my dear, that was almost a year ago and I'm sorry if you have been holding on to it this long.
As humans, business owners, daughters, wives, and friends members of a community and the world we are ALWAYS welcome to say no to things that we have already said yes to especially when we are treated with disrespect. Your fiancé's "bad energy" was a big red flag and missing the ring finger nail texting his anxiety and angst to me so early in the morning was a loud signal that we were not a good fit.
Simply because someone rejects your business does not mean they shouldn't run a business it means you are not a good fit. I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings. Remember that rejection is always for our protection.
