  Wonderful food and service!

  The Sassy Onion team was fantastic and made our wedding dinner perfect! Our catering representative, Chelsea, was very communicative and made our planning easy. She was detailed and responsive throughout the process as we explored menu options, pricing, edits, tastings and special requests. On our wedding day, the team went the extra mile and helped us beyond serving food and were super kind to our guests. The food was priced well, tasty, and the guests loved it. Do yourself a favor and check out the coconut chicken and mac-n-cheese balls for apps, they were a hit!

  Amazing food!

  Sassy Onion is one of our favorite places to eat breakfast, and their catered lunches and dinners are even better! From providing all our cutlery, serving our guests, and taking care of the bar, Sassy Onion is the best (and yummiest) one stop shop in town. We worked with Sara and she was always on the ball and very responsive to our many questions. You won't regret hiring them for your wedding!

  Sassy Onion did such an amazing job with our heavy apps for our small wedding. They were absolutely wonderful and delicious! Everyone loved all the food, but the canapes and stuffed mushroom caps were hands-down my favorites. Thank you for making our day delicious!

  We worked with Greyson at Sassy Onion and he was great! He was always very quick at responding to our inquiries which we mostly did via email (we preferred email communication). He gave great insight and feedback for appetizers and entrees for our reception. Our tasting was great and he made getting final details done very easy.   Judy was super helpful and really accommodating to all my requests. She was flexible with me changing my mind several times about the menu, guest count, etc. The food was great and we received many compliments from the guests! We had salmon and bbq chicken buffet style and did canape appetizers. We also had a hot chocolate bar. Sassy even cut the cake for no extra charge. It was a great value overall. I would definitely recommend Sassy Onion!

  I planned my wedding from Los Angeles, so it made some of the appointments difficult, but Judy, the coordinator at Sassy Onion was totally flexible and always helpful. She was quick to return my e-mails, and not pushy at all. If there was one thing that got under my skin during wedding planning it was vendors always trying to up-sell. Judy never did this once. In fact she offered suggestions to help me stay in my budget instead of pushing me outside my budget. Everyone LOVED the fajitas we had buffet style, and they even boxed the food up for us to pick up the next morning. Terrific!

  The Sassy Onion did an amazing job for our wedding. Everything was cooked perfectly, was delivered on time, and was delicious! While they were sometimes hard to get a hold of, we really appreciate the care they took to make sure we were happy. Their chef delivered samples to my workplace which was not necessary, but extremely nice. We also used them for our morning after brunch, and the food was also delicious. Their servers were fantastic and really cared about making sure we were happy.

  Efficient and easy

  We used the Sassy Onion for our rehearsal dinner with 60 guests. It was easy to plan, the service was fast (maybe 30 min), the food was simple and it pleased everyone. We had lots of leftovers. They were professional and the buffet experience was a breeze. It was exactly what we were looking for and we could not be happier.

  We decided to go with Sassy Onion because they fit our budget and their catering manager was so flexible, accomodating and friendly. I was pretty nervous because I had never talked to anyone that used them for wedding catering. They were on time, did everything that we asked of them, and the food was amazing. We had so many guests talk about how great the food was. We did buffet style and everything was appropriately hot/cold. The staff was nice and Judy was a pleasure to work with. I would DEFINITELY use them again!

  Loved Sassy Onion!! Food was very yummy- everyone at the wedding reception loved it. We had the pasta bar. We had no trouble getting ahold of them, they were very responsive to our emails, and when we went in the resturant to meet up with them. They even cut and served the cake for us- at no extra charge!

  Sassy's was very easy to work with in the planning stages. They graciously edited and added to our menu until is was perfect. Our brisket was not the best at our event- chewy. And they did clean up plates and the buffet before guests were finished. But overall, not bad.

  We did a pasta buffet and the food was delicious!! They had a ceasar salad and a garden salad with pine nuts that was awesome. The pasta was so good, we did four different choices, all excellent.
  
  The only complaint I have is that we ordered two special gluten free dishes that they agreed upon and then forgot, but they ran and whipped something up that was good.
  
  For how cheap this place was, the value was amazing!

  Sassy Onion did an amazing job at my wedding. They were a little hard to get a hold of, but when we finally did, what we got was great. They were even willing to go pick up my wedding cake because the baker couldn't. I wish that they had given us teh rest of the food like they said they would, rather than throwing it way, but otherwise it was good.

  The food was very good here and it was a great price. We got the food all set up and everything went well on the wedding day, but it was a bit difficult to get ahold of Colleen. Things were a bit unorganized with her and it wasn't until last minute that things were finalized. I would recommend them just because of the value.

  Misleading with the prices

  Just to be clear, we did not end up hiring this vendor.
  
  The person we worked with was lovely and professional and the food tasted good, but they grossly misled us with pricing. It was already going to be pushing our budget, but once they added all the hidden fees and gave us our final price, there was no way we could afford it. It was pretty uncomfortable. Like we spent all this time and energy only to find out the cost was too much to afford. They were already charging a good amount of money, but then they also add 18% gratuity on the bill and 10% for premium season.

  I had a catering consultation scheduled for 10am Sunday 2/25. I had heard about your company when I was at the wedding showcase in late January. When I arrived both the catering manager and who I assumed was the general manager couldn't get ahold of the guy who was supposed to do the consultation. I will be using a different company that values my time and knows how big of a deal a wedding is to a bride.
  
  The owner was great and tried to smooth things over and I considered giving them a second chance, however then the guy called who screwed up the appointment to begin with... and sadly after a conversation with the incompetent staff who forgot to document my appointment on their schedule turning it around to blame me and say I actually had the date wrong I have reconsidered. Not only is that completely moronic to blame the customer when you screwed up but it was just insult to injury. I’m a busy mom who is planning their own wedding and have multiple apps that I had scheduled this appointment in so I could make sure to be there. Such a crying shame... I was really hoping I would feel better. But with a staff member like that, it truly makes me terrified to trust this company to take care of me and my guests on a monumental day in my life
