I hired Sasha for my wedding which was this May. I can ONLY say good things about Sasha and her team, and as I sitting here writing the review, I cannot think of one bad thing I can say about her work. To begin, I ant to confirm that Sasha is truly passionate about the work that she does. I ended up hiring Sasha for my engagement shoot as well, and we did 2 looks in 1 location. She has been amazing to work with, and with her kindness, she truly makes the shooting fun and enjoyable. As someone who loves being photographed, Sasha adapts to your energy really well. Sasha is quick to answer her messages (if you have any questions), and she is very clear and concise with her plan. I am a Type A and super planner, so I had a whole Word doc typed up on how I wanted things to go but, I realized that I really did not need it, because Sasha is really just very detailed and has a plan already going. Many photographers will overlook some of the details such as what is in the background, how things are positioned, but Sasha will MAKE IT PERFECT FOR YOU. She pays attention to detail and everything matters in her eye.
I can say that for once, I felt bittersweet after my wedding was over and it was really sad and happy at the same time. Hiring her was the #1 best thing I did for my wedding. So much so, that I promised her that I would come back and hire her to shoot more, such as pregnancy photos, family photos, etc. I wish I could write more, and drone on, on why I love Sasha and her team, but she is truly amazing, inside and out. She loves her work, and her works is WORTH THE WAIT, WORTH THE PAYMENT, AND WORTH THE TIME/EFFORT.

October 2025
We booked Sasha for our October 2025 wedding. We loved her candid and bright photography style, and appreciated that she offered a package including both photography and videography at a reasonable price. She also speaks Mandarin, which was incredibly helpful since many of our guests and family members do not speak English.
The initial consultation and booking process were super smooth. We spoke over the phone and signed the contract via email. Sasha was very responsive any time we had questions. About two weeks before the wedding, we spoke again over Zoom to review our itinerary and preferences. I mentioned that I preferred most of my photos taken from the front, as I’m not a fan of my side profile. We discussed the limitations, but she was very respectful of my preference.
Our wedding day was an 11-hour event (11 a.m.–10 p.m.) across four different locations, which I had been worried about. Sasha assured me everything would go smoothly, and she and her team (Luke and Jan) were on time at every single location. They kept our energy up and had us smiling throughout the entire day—which was great for the photos. Sasha had the itinerary from our planner and followed it to a tee.
The photos were delivered in four weeks, just as promised. They weren’t overly processed, and we looked natural and bright.
I highly recommend that future brides consider Sasha and her team for their photography and videography needs.

Pre wedding photo shoot
We couldn’t be happier with our pre-wedding photos! From start to finish, Sasha's team was a dream to work with—professional, patient, and incredibly talented.
The photos turned out absolutely stunning—bright, airy, and romantic, with a dreamy, almost iconic quality to them. Every image felt thoughtfully composed, with a beautiful sensitivity to light, setting, and emotion. You can tell they have an eye for capturing the moment. From wide scenic shots to the smallest candid gestures, everything felt effortlessly beautiful and deeply personal.
They made us feel completely at ease during the shoot, and gave just the right amount of direction to bring out the best in us. They were also incredibly accommodating, rescheduling multiple times to help us chase the perfect weather.
To top it all off, they expedited the professional retouching so we could receive the final gallery just in time for our wedding. We’re beyond grateful. Highly, highly recommend!

We worked with Sasha and her team for our wedding photos and videos and could not be more pleased with the outcome. Throughout the planning process, Sasha was open, transparent, and thoughtful. We leaned on Sasha's expertise and recommendations to plan out our schedule for the wedding day.
During the wedding day, Sasha and her team were nothing but professional, caring, and warm. From the moment that the team arrived, they made sure that we were on schedule and guided us, our wedding party, and families. Even though it was a very hot and sunny summer day, Sasha's team stayed super positive. They made sure that as a couple, we took the time to pause and capture those intimate moments throughout the day and were open to our ideas whenever we saw an unexpected photo moment. They also went above and beyond to make sure our families felt comfortable and communicated in both English and Chinese.
The photos came out with such a bright, elegant, and airy touch. They really brought out the uniqueness of the venue and above all, the energy of the day. Naturally beautiful and joyful photos/videos from a experienced, personable team!
We absolutely loved working with Sasha and her team! We wanted naturally beautiful, bright, candid, and elegant photos and got exactly that. It was also a bonus that Sasha's team can speak Chinese, which helped my parents feel really comfortable. Leading up to the wedding, we had multiple meetings with Sasha to discuss our vision and the wedding day timeline. She was super friendly and really good about providing advice on how to arrange our timeline to get the best results. On the day of, we worked with Sasha and Chace for photography and Jan for videography. All 3 arrived on time and got to work immediately. Even though the lighting in the hotel room was bad because it was a cloudy morning, Sasha's team is so good at what they do that the photos turned out much brighter and better than we could have expected. They also work fast and efficiently while being personal and caring. Sasha even helped multiple times in getting my veil ready and the Chinese Tea ceremony seating arrangement accurate. Throughout the wedding, we forgot they were even there because of the team's expertise in getting all the photos you want without sacrificing your time to celebrate, dance, and be with friends and family. Sasha and her team went above and beyond to capture our wedding in timeless, beautiful photos and videos that truly show the love and happiness of the day!

Wonderful experience and photos!
We had a wonderful experience with Sasha and Chase!
They're perfectly bilingual (Mandarin & English) which was essential for us. They were able to communicate with everyone. Before the wedding, Sasha asked what we had in mind. We wanted something classy, not too posed and more candid. They totally understood what we had in mind.
First, they came on time (an underrated quality). Then they split up, Sasha focused on the bride and her party and Chase went with the groom and his party. They snapped some candid pictures as well as posed ones. Before the wedding started, we took all our more posed pictures. Once the wedding began, they focused on doing a lot more of the candid pictures which is exactly what we wanted.
We had access to all the pictures 3 weeks later which is quick turn around. They did some black and white pictures but mostly color as we had requested.
Overall, they did a masterful job. Very tasteful pictures!

Delightful!
I found Sasha online and selected her based on reviews, her portfolio, and very reasonable price. We planned our entire wedding from the West Coast, and had only communicated with Sasha via email and a quick phone call before the wedding day.
On the day of our wedding, Sasha and her second photographer, Chace, arrived early and eager. They quickly got to work, documenting the details of our day. The thing that stood out to us most was their energy—they were genuinely excited for us and to capture our day. They were flexible, non judgmental, committed to their final product, and just simply fun to work with. Sasha kept the mood light and playful, we laughed a lot and overall she put us at ease. Our families and friends loved working with Sasha and Chace as well.
Sasha had our photos back to us in less time than promised in our contract, and they are simply beautiful. Viewing the photos with my husband, we felt like we were able to relive one of our most favorite days surrounded by our friends and family. Thank you Sasha and team!

Book Sasha and her team!
We had another amazing experience with Sasha and her team on our Wedding day!! We booked 2 photographers and 2 videographers and we are so happy with the results. They captured so many great moments, including those we were not able to see on the day! We were impressed with the quality of the lighting and audio in the videos. The day goes by so fast, and the photos and videos are the only way to relive the special moments.
Sasha is truly professional. We had a call with Sasha prior to the Wedding day to go over the schedule, and she gave so many great suggestions regarding when we should walk slower for important shots, activities we could add to our Wedding, and letting us know when her team would take time to photograph the decor and the venue before guests enter different spaces. She and her team are always punctual, for arriving at shoots and delivering the finalized photographs and videos!
We especially credit Sasha for making our whole Wedding planning process smooth. She helped us with our engagement photoshoot, and we followed her for recommendations for the makeup artist and DJ. Our Wedding day was our best day ever, it was as stress-free as could be!

We hired Sasha and her team for our wedding in July of 2023 and are very happy and satisfied with the photos (and video to come). Sasha is very easy to communicate with from the onset of the process and provided her suggestions from her past experiences which I found very helpful. Sasha and her team were not only very professional but were also friendly and easy to work with on the day of the wedding, this really helps me and my husband to be more relax and having candid moments to be captured. We booked Sasha and her team (Jay and Annie) for our wedding day in NY this past May and are incredibly happy with our decision! In our first conversation we found she was really easy to talk to, was genuinely interested in learning more about our story and what we wanted, and even worked within our budget to accommodate a videographer. The day of the wedding she and her team were so easy to work with. She has a way of both giving suggestions/directing and going with the flow which made the day so smooth and pleasant. Great experience with Sasha on our pre-wedding photo shooting!!
We seldom write reviews but we consider our experience with Sasha is worth it. We are from Hong Kong and planned to take pre-wedding photos in NYC in Easter. In fact, we simply found Sasha from google search. After reviewing some of her portfolio in her website, we decided to contact her to further discuss our plan. Sasha is approachable and she explained clearly what are included in her package and honestly after she knew that we were from Hong Kong, she provided a lot of suggestions/ things to note for NYC shooting which we didn’t think about before (e.g. places and clothes suggestions, routes, time, weather … etc).
The shooting day experience is great and smooth. Sasha and her assistant guided us (e.g. pose, angle suggestions) throughout the day.
We received the photos around 1 month after shooting. All photos are with basic touch-up and the quality is high. We are now choosing which one for further touch-up which is included in the package. We will definitively recommend Sasha in case you consider photo shooting in NYC.

Can’t image our wedding without Sasha
My husband and I got married in April and we found Sasha online. From the moment we saw their work on their site, we knew we found the right photographers/videographers for us. Their style is similar to ours and we moved forward. Sasha was really friendly and explained everything. On our big day, the team arrived on time and captured key moments from our day. Great Wedding Photography Studio
Sasha and her team were very professional, and they were super familiar with all the great wedding photoshoot location in NYC. For example, Sasha knew exactly where in the central park to take a great photo. it was very helpful so we didn’t have to spend time during the photoshoot day to find a good spot for taking photos. We are so grateful to have Sasha and her team capture photos and videos for our wedding. Sasha and her team are professional, creative and very fast! It was so easy to work with them. The video team - Jan and Ben did a fantastic job. Everything looked so cinematic with breathtaking aerial shots, non linear video editing, amazing audio and mind blowing gimbal shots for the wedding film. Dream team
Selecting a photographer was one of the more daunting aspects of wedding planning for me and my partner—after all, they’re capturing the most precious moments of your big day! That said, once we saw Sasha’s portfolio and met with her for the intro call we knew we found our crew. From the start, Sasha was so attentive and genuinely interested in getting to know us as a couple and learn our story. Sasha, Chase, Ben and Eric are all so talented and easy to work with, they made posing for photos a breeze and our entire wedding party really appreciated they’re easy going, positive energy. I’ve heard horror stories of wedding photographers being pushy or adding to wedding day anxiety, which is the antithesis of this team. You can just tell they truly love what they do and it really shines through in the finished product. My husband and I recently received all of our photos and wedding video (if you’re on the fence about whether to get video, trust me you should just do it!) and we couldn’t believe how beautiful everything turned out. Engagement pictures
Just received my engagement pictures from Sasha. And they were beyond words. Ny fiancé and I were both nervous when it comes to photo shooting but Sasha can instantly put us at ease and was able to capture a lot of beautify, airy and natural pictures. She is very personable, easy to work with and I can’t speak more highly of her. She was able to accommodate multiple changes in our schedule. Her price is also very reasonable with the amount and quality of pictures that we received. I can’t wait to have more pictures taken by her in the future.

Wonderful Engagement Shoot
Sasha did a 2-hour long engagement shoot with us with two outfits leading up to golden hour. The photos came out very beautifully. Our photos were edited to look like a fairytale. She was flexible, fun, and easygoing. We felt so comfortable around her which was so important to us. She is also bilingual (speaks Chinese). We have her booked for our wedding!

Sasha is a Superstar!
We had such a great time working with Sasha and her team of photographers and videographers for our wedding. Sasha was always quick to respond to us starting from our initial inquiry to everything else that came after, and especially when discussing changes to ensure we were on the same page before moving forward. She was very easy to work with and spent ample time with us during planning to ensure we were comfortable with the photographers' and videographers' styles. She also ensured the team was well aware of all the events and moments that we wanted captured. The team was fantastic on the wedding day. We had a full day with 3 different stops between Brooklyn and Manhattan that included two Chinese tea ceremonies, and pre-wedding photos all in the hours before the ceremony and reception. The team arrived early to each location, never missing a beat. Every moment that we asked for was beautifully captured in our photos and videos.
We purchased three photo albums, one for ourselves which was included in the package, and two more for our respective families. Our albums were unfortunately in production and shipped during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the albums were in poor condition. We brought this up to Sasha's attention and she immediately agreed that they were not up to her standards and expectations. Sasha did not hesitate to call us and presented us with a couple of alternatives within a day. Ultimately, the new albums came two weeks later and were even better than what we hoped for. They are perfect!
We love our photos, videos, and photo albums. Sasha and her team were very easy to work with and always listened to our input. We highly recommend Sasha Chou Photography to other couples for their big day!

My husband and I first learned about Ms. Sasha Chou's great service online and reached out to her. We immediately decided it’s her to be our wedding photographer after seeing her work and talking to her in-person. Sasha firstly is very personable and pleasant to work with, which I believe is a big plus for the couples to choose photographers cuz everyone wants to have a good mood with genuine smiles on the wedding day. Sasha recommends different classic routes of photo-shooting for us to choose from while also considering our preferences. What impresses me the most is her profession and work attitude on the wedding day – she kindly prepared herself to be the witness even though we had one, which is very considerate. She enjoys the shooting with the newlywed, and totally dedicated to finding the best spots and poses for us. I feel it was a friend that I have known for long to take the photos in those 4 hours of shooting, instead of working with a regular photographer that takes the shooting as a regular business. I saw the work yesterday, which is AWESOME! Everything looks highly professional and natural! I’ve shared it with many of my close friends and everyone says it’s gorgeous. We are very pleased to have these precious photos as documentation of our important day! Last but not least, pricing and quote is very transparent from the beginning. Sasha was an amazing photographer! My husband and I actually won a FREE photo shoot from her. We did our photo shoot in NYC streets. She was so creative and providing us directions throughout our shoot. She took gorgeous pictures and was extremely responsive and friendly. Her husband was accompanying her and also giving great location suggestions. Wish I had found her few months prior - I would have loved to hire her as my wedding photographer. 3 days before my wedding day the photographer we decided to go with decided to cancel on us (prefer not to say who). All I can say is that thank god Shasha was referred to us. I called Shasha as soon as I could and when she said she could book us in she was on top of everything right there and then. She is a very sweet and caring person to work with but above all she is very passionate about her work and takes the best pictures i've seen in my life lol. Amazing Photography Company!
We previously had another photographer for our City Hall photo's and were very disappointed with them, their lack of interested and the quality of their images. So when we contacted Sasha last minute for our Chinese banquet, she was super accommodating with our specific needs - we were relived to have had her and her team shoot our wedding. Her photographer, Hazel, was super sweet and very easy to work with during the day of. The images came out beautifully - we can't wait to see our album! Sasha's photo's definitely makes up for the bad photo's we received from the previous photographer.

I hired Sasha to photograph my (surprise) proposal and, 1.5 years later, our civil wedding ceremony. We were very happy with both shoots. Sasha's colleague Vincent handled the proposal shoot and was very accommodating in dealing with some challenging logistics and a spy movie like setup (meeting up in the men's bathroom before he sprinted out with a telephoto lens for some covert shots of my soon-to-be-fiancee and me). The photos turned out great. Sasha met us to photograph our civil wedding ceremony, starting at the NYC High Line. She was great to work with. All of our parents were there as well, and they all commented on how well Sasha managed the shoot. We were happy with the photos as well. Overall very happy with our experience - two thumbs up!
My husband and I are so grateful to have had Sasha as our wedding photographer. She truly captured our nervous excitement prior to the ceremony and our overwhelming joy following the vows. In addition, she made our guests feel like participants rather than spectators of our momentous occasion. We could need be happier. Thank you, Sasha!

Sasha has been very friendly, professional and accommodating since the planning of our wedding. During the planning of the wedding, Sasha helped us put together a detailed, yet flexible, schedule of events. There was a lot of travelling required because our ceremony was in NJ, close to the city, and the reception was in Long Island. Sasha and her assistant were early and on time with setting up to capture a lot of the moments my wife and I did not realize would be important. We their experience and it was one thing my wife and I did not have to worry about during the day of the wedding. Sasha and her assistant worked seamlessly photographing everyone looking their best and produced great photographs exceeding our expectations. The attendees of the wedding felt comfortable with them and it really showed in the photographs! We received the photographs at the agreed time after the wedding and it was easy to download and enjoy. The photos came out high quality and perfect. Sasha has a great eye for detail, the professionalism any couple can trust, and a great personality helped us bring out the best. We recommend Sasha to all of our friends and family.

*Wedding Album Review*
Sasha was not my photographer - I hired her to make my albums for me. I'm happy with the 3 albums that I got, the process was fairly easy and the turnaround was pretty quick. She was respectful of my budget and offered flexibility where she can.
Key Points:
- The Linen albums are nice, but if the budget allows - opt for the leather. The pages are 'stitched' in the leather so the binding doesnt move when you turn the pages. The pages are Not 'stitched' in the linen binding, so when you turn the pages, the binding moves since it's hollow
- If you have a specific layout in mind and you're really ocd - I'd suggest fake-creating your album via shutterfly and share the layout url with Sasha. I didnt do this, but I think this wouldve saved some time with the back and forth
- The color options for both linen/leather are limited. The cover options are also limited (text or photo+text, no acrylic options to my knowledge)
- The Chinese Double Happiness symbol can be stamped, but it costs extra per album

We LOVE our photos, can't believe they turn out so well. Sasha is the one to go if you want to have a very NYC style photo shoot. I just sat down with my husband and reviewed our wedding photo album. My husband got emotional looking at the pictures Not only is the album amazingly well done and made of the highest quality materials; but, it is just full of fantastic pictures. I am so overwhelmed by the beauty of the pictures captured by Sasha and team.
There is not one aspect of the captured pictures that is not wonderful. Sasha even did a great job editing and photoshopping a few of my favorite pictures. She was early to my wedding and completely professional throughout. She and her team ensured they captured all of the pictures I requested and then some. Our guest loved her and she was so kind. She helped us with poses and suggested location shots.
I rate my experience with Sasha Chou Photography a 10 out of 10. I could not be more satisfied with the results. I loved her work!

She also recommended some more places near these and they turned out to be gorgeous. She is so nice, professional, energetic, and easy to work with. Talking with her is like talking with an old friend, which made us feel relaxed and show our most natural pose and smiles to her. We are satisfied with and grateful for all the work she did. Sasha is a great photographer. She did my engagement shoot at the Griffith Observatory, we woke up really early in the AM to get the best lighting and avoid the crowd. She was fast and knew what to do without wasting each others time, I did a few shoots with other photographers in the past and they take like a 100 shots until they finally got the right shot but Sasha knew what to do right away. She provided feedback and how to pose us and she has a great sense of humor! It was well worth the early morning shoot, the pictures came out awesome. You won't be disappointed if you choose Sasha :)

Sasha Chou took out maternity photos and they're absolutely breathtaking! I explained to her that my husband and I are terrible at posing and we don't like super posed pictures, so she guided us through everything and made us feeling incredibly comfortable! She's super efficient and simply great to be around. We didn't feel she was just a photographer, but also a friend. She recently took some photos for our anniversary, and once again she didn't let us down!
I can't wait to take some family photos soon at the beach!

Sasha is a great photographer, she was fun to work with, always a big smile on her face, that made me and my wife felt very comfortable being photographed in an outdoor setup.
