We booked Sarah for our July 2023 Wedding at the Historic Post Office, and we are so glad we did! After finding Sarah on social media, we reached out to inquire about our date, and communication was seamless from the start. Sarah was super flexible about our ever changing schedule when it came to picking an engagement shoot day, and made us feel so comfortable the entire time. Sarah was great at balancing her direction of our poses with letting us be ourselves! She is down to earth, funny, personable, and we loved having the engagement shoot with her before our wedding day. As far as the wedding day itself, she was amazing throughout the whole process including the weeks leading up to it. The photos she captured of some of the most special moments of our lives were better than we even imagined. Alex and I, along with all of our guests, were so impressed by her professionalism as well as how quickly she delivered such an amazing gallery of photos. Honestly, it's been so difficult choosing our favorites, they're THAT good! We couldn't be more thankful to have snagged Sarah for our big day, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in the Hampton Roads area! -

Sarah went above and beyond to make our wedding photos incredibly special. From the initial planning process, to the bridal shoot, to the rehearsal dinner, to the final sendoff, she was there with us every step of the way to capture every moment. Sarah is very sweet, positive and friendly. She was a welcome addition to our guest list, fitting right in with family and friends. We are very thankful to have had someone so talented and dedicated to capture our special day and we highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful wedding photographer. -

Sarah did an awesome job capturing our engagement photos and our wedding day! She was incredibly flexible as we were dodging rain for our engagement photos. She worked with us as we rescheduled and adapted our plan multiple times. Even though it started raining during our engagement photos, Sarah embraced the moment and we captured some really fun, unique pictures in the pouring rain. As far as our wedding day, she did an amazing job being attentive to what we wanted and beautifully captured our day! Our photos, both candid and posed photos, were all gorgeous and I still love looking back at all of them! I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a photographer to capture their special moments! -

Organized, Professional, and Fun!
Sarah is incredibly organized and professional, not to mention her talent in capturing candid and natural photos! We could feel everyone's emotions so clearly when looking back at the photos and felt like we were reliving our wedding day all over again! Sarah was great to work with and so fun and engaging throughout all of our sessions. She kept our large group in order but also made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. Like working with a great friend!
I have been following Sarah's photography account for a while, so when my fiancé and I finally got to work with her it was an absolute dream! Sarah was super responsive and helpful as we picked a date for the session. We did our photos on the National Mall in DC. Sarah really listened to the specific spots I wanted for our photos and even found some new creative ones I never would have thought of! Sarah is so fun and charismatic, so the session was an absolute blast. It felt like hanging with a good friend which made for really natural and comfortable shots. The photos we got back were absolutely AMAZING and such high quality. Sarah captured exactly what I had described while we were booking her and I can't wait to cherish these photos for rest of our lives. -

One of our best decisions
We booked Sarah for a couple of hours on our wedding day. We didn’t have a huge budget but also knew we wanted quality pictures of the day. Sarah delivered! She communicated clearly and celebrated with us as if we were lifelong friends! The pictures were AMAZING and the links shared with us way faster than we imagined. My parents even commented on how discrete she was, most of the pictures we had no clue she was taking! She did a fantastic job without being intrusive which allowed us to be comfortable and ourselves. -

As we planned our wedding, one of the best choices we made was our wedding photographer, Sarah Lin Photography. I say the best because Sarah was helpful, flexible, efficient, and professional. Sarah was helpful by offering different packages to work with our budget and suggesting different ideas. She was flexible as we made last minute decisions. Efficient because we were able to do all of our bride and groom and bridal party pictures before the wedding and family pictures quickly so we could join the cocktail hour. Sarah was also professional from the beginning to the end. She was quick to answer any and all questions, showed up on time, and the quality of pictures turned out great (which she gave to us before we left for our honeymoon!!).
We are so grateful for Sarah Lin Photography and highly recommend her services. -

Everyone should book an anniversay session!
This experience was not a "normal" one for us-- first of all, it's been many many years since we had pictures taken together professionally. Secondly, it can just be awkward to pose for a session like this. But, not with Sarah!! She made this a unique experience that we both thoroughly enjoyed doing! She was so easy to be with, was interested in our story, and made our session feel SO special-- her prompts, posing ideas, and openness made it such fun, and the pictures she produced were extraordinary!!! I can't tell you how precious those pictures are to us- I know we will treasure them for years and years. Sarah exuded joy, was professional on every level, and her photography is timeless! We are SO happy we did this and recommend everyone to book an anniversary session with Sarah- you will not regret it -

Skilled, professional and fun photographer!
Sarah really brought out the best in my husband and me in our photos. She not only made us comfortable in front of the camera, but also managed to perfectly capture our personalities. She made sure we had a fun and memorable experience that we're still talking about! We've worked with many photographers over the years, but Sarah made us feel the most relaxed and genuine. As one of those people that is truly not a fan of getting pictures taken of me, I will say that I enjoyed every second of this engagement photo session with Sarah. My fiance and I never felt uneasy or uncomfortable at any time during the shoot. Sarah made us feel super relaxed and it all came very natural. Usually I feel very awkward when doing pictures, but I didn't during this. She did an incredible job and I would recommend her 1000%. -

Fun and Engaging
I went into the shoot thinking it was going to be like every other photo session I had been to, posing and snapping pictures and posing again. But Sarah made the whole thing fun and engaging! It was a photo shoot but it wasn’t boring like most are. It only took about an hour and a half, and with the heat we were all thankful for that. The pictures turned out amazing and they will be cherished forever. Can’t thank Sarah enough for the fantastic shoot! -

Drown the Gown!
We got married in the winter, but I’ve always dreamed of a beach wedding. Sarah made my dreams come true with this post wedding photo shoot. Sarah went above and beyond to create the most Pinterest worthy photos I could have ever dreamed of! Not only did she perfectly recreate my Pinspiration, but she also curled my hair before the shoot and made a bouquet for me out of grocery store bought flowers to make it look just like it was my wedding day all over again. Seriously, Sarah is not just a great photographer, she will make your vision come to life in every way she can. During the photo shoot, Sarah posed us creatively and made us tell stories to each other so that the photos would look natural. She made sure to get all the shots I wanted, too. She also kept us laughing throughout the entire thing, and honestly, it was just a super fun time from start to finish! She got our beautifully edited photos back to us in less than a week. Sarah is so fun to work with, and you definitely won’t regret choosing Sarah Lin Photography! I wish I could give her more than 5 stars! -

Sarah is amazing!!!
My husband and I recently did a couples photoshoot with Sarah and she exceeded all of my expectations!! The only other time we’ve had professional photos taken was for our wedding/engagement and unfortunately we were not pleased with the experience, or our photographer’s work. So needless to say, I was nervous to try out professional photos again but Sarah was so kind from the very first moment I contacted her. She ensured me the pictures would not only be great, but that we would have fun taking them! And we definitely did!! Sarah made sure we felt at ease, was incredibly patient and was so creative in getting us to talk and laugh for some super cute and natural pictures. They all turned out AMAZING, with a very quick turnaround time! I just wish I could go back in time and use her for our wedding! I highly recommend using Sarah for any couples or wedding photos! -

Sarah is professional, fun, and well-versed in how to get amazing natural shots. She knows that I am not always comfortable in front of a camera, and she takes the time to laugh, chat, and remind Jon and I of sweet moments to capture on camera.
She was my wedding photographer and she also did a photoshoot with us last week. Sarah does such a good job of blending in and making sure the focus is on us! I cannot recommend her highly enough.
She also is really prompt with getting you the downloads and editing. She really does want her couples/clients to enjoy their photoshoot experience and also afterwards with having them. 6/5 :) -

Fun and fabulous photos!
My fiance and I recently had our engagement pictures taken by Sarah and they turned out amazing! Sarah is very responsive to emails/texts and worked with our schedule to make it happen. Even though it was a hot and humid day, you can't tell at all in our pictures! She makes the experience so fun and asks questions that make you laugh so the pictures look very natural. I was a little nervous because neither of us has ever had professional photos taken before, but Sarah put us both at ease! The finished photos were also delivered very quickly, so we didn't have to wait long to see them. We will cherish our engagement pictures forever and can't wait to see how our wedding photos turn out! -

Sarah was absolutely amazing. She made the process fun for both myself and Isaac. Sarah was so responsive and worked with both mine and Isaac's crazy schedules to find a date! She is professional in every sense of the word but also SO fun to work with as well. We got out photos back in record time and I loved every photo! Definitely would recommend to everyone!! -

I cannot recommend Sarah enough. She took a couples photo shoot of me and my fiancé in March 2018 and then she took my bridal portraits in November 2018. I was so disappointed when I found out she was unavailable to be my wedding photographer. My husband and I have had photoshoots with several other photographers and none compare to the experience with Sarah. Sarah uses prompts and genuine conversation to make every photoshoot less about the perfect pictures and more about the experience of being together. She is quick to edit and post photos on her blog after each shoot so you can see how the images turned out. I've found other photographers to come up with lame jokes to get laughs out of their clients, but Sarah uses prompts that are less about her and more about enjoying yourself with your sweetheart. My husband was so nervous for our first photoshoot with Sarah but loved how she made it fun for us by inviting us to dance and tell inside jokes and whisper loving words into each others' ears. Sarah was a joy to work with and I would recommend her above any other photographer in the business. -

Sarah was the most wonderful photographer! She went above and beyond traveling all the way to Philadelphia, posing as a bystander to take pictures of the surprise proposal my fiancé planned. She took the time to make sure our engagement was preserved in such beautiful pictures. Being someone who cries a lot when overjoyed, my makeup ran down my face and Sarah took the time to make sure all the mascara on my cheeks was cleaned up so I was looking my best as we walked around Longwood Gardens to take engagement photos. I had never met Sarah before but her kind and loving personality made me feel like we had been friends for years. She is fantastic at her job and I highly recommend her for anyones engagement day or wedding! -

We loved our couples photo shoot with Sarah!
I reached out to Sarah initially because my engagement day didn't have a ton of photos, and because my engagement was truly a surprise, I wasn't exactly dressed up/photo ready on the day when my husband proposed!
We were able to give Sarah a vision for what we were hoping to get out of the photos (re-creating the scene where we met and tying in places that we loved to go to together in our city) and she was able to capture our relationship well. Im so happy I now have photos that remind me of how my husband and I met-it's a story I never want to forget!
Sarah is easy to work with and is great at giving prompts to help bring out the natural personality of each person (even if taking photos aren't your thing!). We loved the variety of photos we received and will definitely be reaching out to her again! -

Having photos taken of me and my work always makes me nervous! Sarah was so friendly at the styled shoot we worked together that I felt like I was hanging out with my best friend. She attended a floral class I was teaching as well and was incredibly personable. She took photos of her piece when she got home and my jaw dropped! The photos were so beautiful and the composition was gorgeous. She has a true eye for it. I highly recommend working with Sarah and will be doing so myself the first chance I get! -

She understood what I wanted went above and beyond, getting some incredible shots I couldn’t have thought of. She also made the photo portion fun when it could have been stressful and put me completely at ease with her calm and fun attitude.
I was originally planning on spending less money on wedding photography, but looking back I’m so glad I went with higher quality and someone who has more experience.
When she sent us the finished photos, my husband and I got to sit down and look through our documented wedding day. They were beautiful! What a special experience to see all the people we love in the same place, showing us love and support. And to see our couples photos on such a special day. These are the photos that are going to hang in my house for years to come and they are incredible! -

Hannah Sent on 09/11/2018I know, I know all 5 stars, but to be honest Sarah Lin left nothing to be desired when we had our five year vow renewal ceremony on May 20, 2018. From making sure my bridal party and I got fed, to bringing umbrellas in case we got rain, Sarah thought of every detail. Leading up to the vow renewal Sarah met with me (bride) two times to discuss my vision for the photos and the day as a whole. Sarah was more than willing to go with me to tour the country club to make sure we had spots picked out for photos. Sarah was flexible when our ceremony was at risk of being rained out and at the last minute we decided to risk the weather and keep our ceremony outside in the garden. I would highly recommend Sarah Lin to anyone who is wanting pictures that capture the true character, personality, and feeling of a couple, family or event.

Sarahlinphotography captured such gorgeous images of my sweet hubby and I!!
She was so sweet and wonderful to work with! We laughed the whole time she was taking pictures and I loved how she had us relive and tell about our love story while she took our pictures!
