Amazing! Can't recommend highly enough!

(To cut to the chase - Sarah is wonderful, our photos our incredible, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.) I truly cannot articulate how grateful we are for Sarah's incredible photography! As much as we wanted guests to enjoy themselves (food, drinks, music, venue), I feel like the photography was my biggest priority because ultimately, aside from the memories, that's what you're left with after the day is over! Sarah is absolutely lovely. She met with us prior to the day to get a sense of who we were and our story. She also gave us some flexibility as we didn't need engagement photos so we were able to credit that part of the package towards our wedding day. Sarah is so kind and pleasant, and incredibly talented and professional. Our photos are just beautiful! She was really great working with us on the day of as it was a crazy downpour and i had my heart set on a particular outside photo location, and she ventured out to scout it and made it work for us! We feel so fortunate to have worked with Sarah and will cherish our wedding photos forever!

Sarah is truly an invaluable asset and a wonderful person to boot! Choosing Sarah as our photographer was the first decision I made after we got engaged, and I am so glad to have made that decision. She was not only able to coordinate an international engagement shoot, but she flawlessly helped a couple planning a wedding halfway across the country; she was able to navigate weather changes, and a moving venue to boot! She made us feel comfortable and excited every step of the way; she has a calming presence amidst the chaos that I didn't realize how much I would appreciate. Our wedding would not have been the same without Sarah there!!!

Sarah is a very special individual with amazing energy! I had been following her career and work for years and knew for a long time that when I got married that I wanted her to capture our day. Our wedding in October was small and intimate and Sarah was a perfect addition. I was amazed at her ability to direct and pose us while still creating such a relaxed atmosphere which showed thru in the pictures. Her confidence was inspiring and her ability to capture each moment without us even knowing was amazing. She is such a genuine and graceful individual. The experience was perfect, and the pictures were so incredible! I couldn't have been happier with our photos and her keen ability to find the "perfect light" and capture all the special moments throughout the night. I would recommend her above all others.

We absolutely loved working with Sarah! We hired her for our wedding at the Los Altos History Museum and she did an amazing job. Neither my husband nor I had ever taken professional photos before, but Sarah made us feel more that comfortable — we did add the engagement session to our package, which we highly recommend doing, and I think that was such a great way to get to know her and a for her to see a bit of our personalities before the big day. We really wanted to spend as much time enjoying our wedding as possible, and Sarah and her assistant photographer were awesome with getting gorgeous portraits before the ceremony and then quickly corralling our (crazy) family and snapping a few intimate post-ceremony pics of just the two of us so we could join the party. What really stood out when we got our photos back were all of the candid photos of our guests and the whole reception. They captured so many moments that my husband I and would have otherwise not seen and that was so nice to be able to look through and see how much fun everyone was having on our big day. We have received endless compliments on the photos and I would hire Sarah and her team again in a heartbeat! I have to stop myself from plastering our photos all over the walls of our house!

Seriously the greatest photographer you can have on your side for your engagement photos and wedding photos. Sarah herself is such a genuinely kind and amazing person, truly an expert in her work. She made us feel so incredibly comfortable during our photoshoots, and we truly enjoyed her.

Of course, her work itself is simply incredible. Whenever we saw her finished shots of us, we were so blown away. Many times we were like, "OMG is that us?!" Or, "WOW, that doesn't even LOOK like the same place we were at." Sarah has this ability to make her subjects and backgrounds look epic or incredible, or basically all the amazing adjectives you can think of to describe a photo. I have received numerous compliments from friends and coworkers saying how impressed and how much they loved how all our photos came out.

Props to her associate photographer, Doreen, as well. She photographed our wedding day alongside Sarah, and she was also such a delight to work with and to have by our side. So much talent in Sarah and Doreen.

A HUGE thank you for everything. You won't regret booking Sarah.

Sarah was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day photos. She was recommended to me through an acquaintance, and both my husband and I couldn't be happier with the result. Having the right photographer was one of my top priorities, and Sarah definitely delivers, both professionally and personally. She always replied in a professional yet friendly manner every email we exchanged, and talked to me on the phone three days before the big day to polish last minute details. It felt like I was talking to a friend; and on our big day, her creativity and artistry shined through when taking both our group and couple photos. Her portfolio speaks for itself about her talent, but it's her warm and friendly personality that makes her the best photographer you could possible ask for. If I ever need a special moment photographed in the future, I will undoubtedly book with her again. Stop looking elsewhere folks, Sarah is the real deal!

Sarah is an awesome person and an awesome photographer! We talked to a lot of people in preparation for our wedding and she really stood out because of her style and good value for money as well.
She was really fantastic on the day of the wedding too. She really made everyone super comfortable, was fully present while being discreet, and gave everyone great instructions to make the most out of the time we have. She also knew City Hall inside and out so we were able to take lots of great pictures without being there for hours.
We can't recommend her enough!

We really loved working with Sarah and are so glad we found her! She was recommended through a friend who had seen her work from another wedding. We liked what we saw online and booked an informal meeting to get a feeling for her personality. She is very easy to get along with and super flexible. After meeting her, we were sold on booking her for an engagement session and wedding day photography. Sarah turned around the photos in the stated time frame with a protected link to download all the photos (which we were also able to share with our loved ones and friends). For our wedding album, she put together a first draft of the album. I think this helps individuals who may be intimidated to start the project.

All in all, I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a friendly, professional photographer!

Sarah is amazing, easy to work with, professional and a truly talented photographer. She captures the best in everyone and the most special moments beautifully. Our pictures are better than we could have imagined, she has an amazing eye for photographs. She is extremely accommodating and easy going, she made sure we got all of the pictures we wanted in our tight wedding day schedule with ease. She also provided great direction when we had no idea what to do in front of the camera, which was much appreciated. Sarah is the best, we highly recommend her.

Sarah is an amazing photographer and she did an awesome job on our pictures! Her packages are on the costlier side, but you get a lot with them and they are well worth the cost. If good pictures are important to you, then she is a great investment. Everything went smoothly and the pictures turned out great with lots of artistic shots along with the usual family group pictures and such. Fantastic work!

Sarah Dawson Photography did my wedding photos and I couldn't be happier with the pictures, the service, the communication, or the price. Sarah is professional, kind, and takes really great photos. She is artistic and original and made my photos special, unique, and beautiful. My husband HATES having his picture taken, and still Sarah and her assistant were able to catch him smiling. I would definitely recommend this photographer to friends and other brides.

It is no surprise that Sarah has all '5's from nearly all of her reviewers. She is everything you want your wedding photographer to be - approachable, funny, kind...and a spectacular photographer. She was very responsive from when I approached her for availability all the way until our final album was delivered. Our wedding photos are truly a work of art.

Sarah worked with us through every step of the process - from helping us envision what kinds of shots and atmosphere we wanted - to facilitating the nuances and relational dynamics of the 'day of' drama with the utmost professionalism and finesse. Sarah is so personable! My wife and I were "jaw drop"... "mind blown" when we saw the final product...STUNNING! Sarah's forte is in capturing a couple's unique story! When my wife and I got engaged, we had a million decisions to make ahead of us for our wedding: How many guests? What caterer? DJ? Location? Despite all this, we knew who would be capturing our wedding without a doubt.
Being close friends with Sarah for many years, we’ve been able to get to know and admire her style. She is very organized and easy to work with, so we were able to tell her exactly what we wanted before our wedding, and not have to worry about it the day of. On our wedding day, Sarah was very unobtrusive, yet was able to capture the joy and emotion throughout. Since she planned beforehand so well, she was able to anticipate where we would be next, and was in the right spot at the right time.

As far as the photos go – they are beautiful.

Sarah takes the time to look through and edit each photo, so each picture looks great! We loved the album she put together for us – our houseguests always look through it and compliment us.

You will not regret working with Sarah...do it!

Sarah Dawson did my engagement and wedding photos, and I couldn't be happier with the results. As more of an introvert, I initially felt a little awkward about posing for photos. Sarah's peaceful personality put me at ease, and she had great advice on how to pose. Her laid back character was especially an asset on the wedding day, as she was a calming presence in the midst of so many other things that I could be stressed about.

Beyond the experience of actually interacting with Sarah, the quality of my photos are great. So many family and friends were impressed with the beautiful photos. Sarah was very generous in the number of photos that she included from the engagement session and wedding day. I had over 800 photos to choose from for my wedding day! I had a few ideas for some specific photos that I wanted, and Sarah was sure to integrate those ideas into our photo sessions....the finished product was far greater than I had imagined!

In addition to the high quality of Sarah's photography and her great personality, she provides all of these services at a very competitive price. I have seen wedding pictures from other, more expensive photographers, and I honestly think that Sarah's product is better. I'm so happy that I chose Sarah for something as important as my wedding day, and I would definitely recommend her for your big day.

Let me first say that if you are planning a wedding, this is without a doubt the photographer you should hire. Sarah took my wedding photos in June this year ('11) and the results were just amazing. She captured every touch, look, emotion, and moment throughout the entire day in such a beautiful way...we are so happy to be able to look back on our day and feel as if we are relieving it each time. The photos are the perfect amount of artistic...not to the point where you lose the feelings of the day but fancy enough to make you feel like a movie star! Working with her is just as wonderful as the end result of the photos, as she (and her team) are professional, unobtrusive, and fun to work with. Contacting her is super easy (as you get further into planning your big day, you will find this a rarity...or we did at least) and she is always quick to respond. She is great at meshing her expertise with your expectations and desires so you get what you pictured, but even better because she's so good at what she does.

I could talk more about how wonderful my experience was with her: she took our engagement photos (we love love love them), she has gotten our photos to us very quickly compared to other photographers (several friends got married this year too), our album is in the works and looks utterly fantastic so far, etc. but I'll simplify. Bottom line: Sarah Dawson Photography makes planning and remembering your big day easy, she is fun to work with, she is a great price and there is a level of experience and quality to each photo that you just won't find with other photographers that I've seen. If I had it to do over again I'd hire Sarah all over again without a second thought. I've recommended her to friends everywhere...even those in Southern California (she travels) because they saw our photos and loved them! Check her out...if you do you'll be glad you did!

Sarah was the photographer of my wedding in Napa, CA. She worked with my budget, was flexible and easy to work with. The weather did not cooperate and what was suppose to be an all outdoor wedding turned all indoor at the last hour. Through all the chaos Sarah and her team did an amazing job capturing the event. The photos were stunning and beautiful. As an event planner for over 13 years I have a high standard for vendors and services and Sarah by far is top notch. I would use her again at the drop of a hat.

Sarah's photography speaks for itself (just look at it!) As for the professional side of things, Sarah really was AMAZING to work with! She's quick, thoughtful, and patient (even when I changed my mind about our wedding photo album a hundred times!). I loved that she didn't give me just 10 or 15 amazing shots and a few hundred mediocre ones; they were ALL outstanding... all 1000 of them! I am so thankful I chose her to photograph my wedding!

Sarah is full of talent. Her pictures speak for themselves. On my wedding day there was a grass field close to our reception site.She made a field of nothing look so amazing. You may be worried that
there are not any good spots for photos. Don't worry! Sarah always does her research and visits the site ahead of time to plan.She will make yourvphotis flawless and stunning. I love all of my photos and feel so fortunate that I had Sarah as my photographer on my special day :)

Sarah Dawson is an amazing and creative photographer. My husband and I still receive compliments on our engagement photos and wedding photos. I also did a little black book session with her which was super fun and the photos turned out better than I ever imagined. Sarah is very friendly and easy to work with and always knows how to help you look your best, especially for those of those you don't know how to pose. Don't worry, she will guide you. Gorgeous photos and a pleasure to work with

I found Sarah early in the wedding planning process, after searching for photos taken at Lake Merritt. I loved the idea of the lake as a backdrop for our couples portraits, but I felt like it would be best to find a photographer who was already familiar with its various features and angles. When I found Sarah's portfolio I was delighted and immediately knew I wanted to work with her.

This was a fantastic decision and I would unequivocally recommend her as a wedding photographer. We spent 12+ hours together over the course of pre-wedding couple portraits, rehearsal picnic, and the day-of. I didn't think ahead of time about how much time that is to spend with a stranger, but after a very short time she didn't feel like one. She's warm, cheerful and professional. She gave excellent direction, while still working to keep shots very natural, and very willing to take our input throughout the process. She was easy to communicate with by phone and email, her business info was well organized and it was easy to handle contracts, etc. I found her prices to be very reasonable for the quality of service and product, and I really loved the photo book she put together at the end of the process.

Sarah was really pleasant to work with! We had several other friends that were getting married around the same time that decided to go with a lower cost photographer. After getting out pictures back, we were so glad we went with Sarah. She is easy to work with and takes beautiful pictures!
