I got married on Valentine’s Day 2025 and had a large bridal party +3 mothers of the brides. We had multiple changes to services and they handled everything with professionalism and grace. Everyone walked away happy with both their hair and make up, they arrived on time and even did the hair for our flower girl on the spot when she changed her mind and wanted to get something cute done. They were simply excellent to work with the entire time and the price was great! -

My biggest fear of doing a destination wedding was hair and makeup, however the girls were amazing! Made me feel beautiful on my special day!
I thought the cost of hair and makeup was very fair, I did not shop around too much I saw the work they did and knew I had to book. both girls were perfect and worth every penny. -

The girls were prompt, arriving perfectly on time one day and several minutes early the next day. They had my inspiration photos available and confirmed what I did and didn't want them for straight to work. They were kind, efficient, and professional. I had zero complaints about my hair or makeup on either day, nor did anyone else that got MUAH done. It looked so much better than I could've ever anticipated. They are rockstars and definitely know what they're doing. 10/10 recommend!!! -

Sara Tamargo team did such an amazing job on my hair and make for my wedding along with all of my bridesmaids. I never felt so beautiful in my life! Perfection!
I was initially very nervous for my hair and makeup for our wedding because I wasn’t able to do an actual trial beforehand since we were flying to Cancun from the US. I was absolutely blown away by this team!!! We used the rehearsal dinner as a trial, and it went perfectly! They were extremely professional and so sweet, and did my hair and makeup exactly like the pictures I showed and my description! I truly have never looked or felt this beautiful! My wedding party and our moms still talk about how much they loved their experience as well. I wish I had more events to work with the Sara Tamargo team, they are all around the best! -

From the first correspondence to my final look - Sara Tamargo's team was amazing. Very quick responses, very fair pricing and planning, extremely organized and professional while still very kind and personal. The hair and make up artists are truly amazing and so talented. Amazing experience!
Sara’s team is incredible! They did my hair and makeup at the Valentin and were so professional. They truly made me look amazing, and my hair and makeup stayed perfect the entire day. Beyond their talent, they were unbelievably helpful and calm. They grabbed the door when my wedding dress was delivered and didn’t miss a beat when maintenance came to fix the fire alarm in my room. They stayed completely unfazed, kept me calm, and kept everything moving smoothly. I would highly recommend them. They are seriously amazing! -

Wow. Sara Tamargo's team is SO talented. Doing a destination wedding can make it challenging and intimidating to hire vendors. I found Sara Tamargo and team on weddingwire and contacted them with a few inspo pics. The resort I was having my wedding at has a crazy fee for bringing in external vendors, so I skipped doing a trial and I hoped for the best. I was blown away. I showed a photo to Yesenia (hair) and Shania (makeup) and it came out even more amazing than I could have expected (and better than the inspo photo). It was so worth paying the vendor fee - I have never felt more beautiful and it lasted all day and night. Thank you team!
Also shout-out to Michelle who answered my many emails, was so kind and responsive, and all around lovely to work with while planning. -

I had the BEST experience with my hair and makeup team! From start to finish, they were so flexible and accommodating. They were even able to add my sister-in-law for both hair and makeup last minute and still finished right on schedule.
Before arriving in Mexico, I was emailing with Sofía, and she was incredibly responsive, usually within hours. I really appreciated her patience because I had a lot of questions and was pretty nervous about the final look (I can definitely be picky!), but she always made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision.
Viri did an amazing job on my makeup, and Yareni was so patient while I debated the height of my updo, offering her professional opinion without making me feel rushed. Yesenia and Shania also took great care of my bridal party, everyone looked beautiful and absolutely loved their hair and makeup.
Everything held up perfectly the entire night, even through dancing and lots of wind. I couldn’t have asked for a better glam team! Highly recommend! 💕 -

Great Experience
I was so sick in the day of my wedding due to some bad food poisoning. All throughout my wedding day and afterwards people kept telling me how good I looked and couldn’t even notice. I don't even know what to say about this company except for they are phenomenal, professional, kind, compassionate, and fun. Sara and Betsy are the sweetest souls and made my makeup look exactly how I wanted it. I even told Sara multiple times that she could do what she thought would look the best because I did not know what I wanted to do, and my jaw dropped from how gifted she truly is. She made me look natural but enhanced all my features. I wish I could have packaged them up and brought them with me back home because they become part of my family over the 3 days. -

Sara and her team are Rockstars!
Let me start by saying I was originally getting married in Costa rica but our resort got purchased so we had to move my wedding to Mexico. I had less than 5 months to find a makeup artist and I practically begged Sara via Instagram to please fit my wedding into her schedule. Thankfully she found a few girls she could use for our wedding and I was relieved. We chatted on and off for a few months before the wedding and when I met Sara (who was the artist and owner who did my makeup) for my trial i knew I was in good hands. She did an amazing job on my makeup and we only had a few tweaks we knew we needed to make for the big day. My hair was also beautiful and they were nice enough to change my hair after the trial so my husband wouldn't know my official look for the wedding day. On my wedding day my makeup and hair were pure perfection. I felt like a princess and was stopped constantly to comment on my hair and makeup. My bridesmaids were also stunned with their looks and both my mother and mother in law felt beautiful for the wedding. Sara is a gem and her whole team were just kind, caring and amazing people!! -

Felt Like a Princess!
I was BEYOND happy with my hair & makeup done by Sara Tamargo’s team for my wedding day.
The team was very communicative with me throughout the entire process from inquiring about prices all the way down to the wedding day. They kept in constant contact and answered any questions I had. I had Alejandra & Adilene as my artists for my trial and my wedding day and they were so kind and made me feel absolutely beautiful! I got compliments the entire day and night on my makeup & hair. The team uses some of the best makeup from Charlotte Tilbury to Dior. I never felt cakey or that the makeup was too heavy on my face and my hair and makeup lasted the ENTIRE wedding day and night (I got married in August and the heat and humidity was no joke!). Overall, I couldn’t be happier with Sara Tamargo and team and highly recommend them for your wedding day! -

Everyone I worked with at SaraTamargo for me and my bridal parties hair and makeup for my wedding was a dream to work with. Alex and Laura who completed my hair and makeup trial and did both again on my wedding day did an amazing job and listened to everything to make my vision come to life. They were very patient and kind as I never got my hair and makeup professionally done before and didn’t know what I wanted originally, but they helped me choose the best look overall for my wedding day and was so in love with how it all turned out. Dream Hair and Makeup for Wedding Day 😍💍🤍
If you need wedding hair and makeup or just glam for a special event in the Cancun area, The Sara Tamargo team are your girls!!! They are truly the best in the game! 🤩❤️ They were highly recommended in the Facebook groups by all previous brides who got married at my wedding resort at Dreams Playa Mujeres, and I can see why! I did my hair and makeup trial in December 2024 when I went for my site visit at the resort and I truly never felt more beautiful in my life. My fiancé at the time cried when he first saw me. Fast forward to my wedding this past week in March 2025 and wow! They knocked it out of the park! 😍 All my bridesmaids said it was the best makeup they’ve had (airbrush, false lashes, the whole glam) Margarita did my makeup and she is known for her full glam in work and she delivered!! 👏🏻
Emailing back and forth with the whole team has been super quick and responsive, which is very important when planning a destination wedding. They would respond back in the same day. The schedule they made for everyone getting ready was easy to follow.
I wish I could take them back to the US with me!!! 🥰 I truly have never felt more beautiful and my now husband couldn’t stop staring and being in awe!! Thank you ladies for playing such a big role in our special day! We will never forget you and how you made me truly feel the best I ever have!!! ❤️

Let me start by saying they are the most amazing team ever!!!! I wish I could bring them home with me!!! I did a trial the day before my wedding for my rehearsal dinner and killed it only 2 things I needed fixing which was the smallest things which was my eyebrows and eyelashes but I did have an updo and because I didn’t want it the same as my wedding day they even changed it for me to a half up half down look for rehearsal! The day of my wedding went perfectly!!!! They took what I suggested and fixed it and stayed all night with wind, rain, and tears!! I also had 9 girls get markup and hair done and they loved it!!! I couldn’t recommend them more 🫶🏽 -

Throughout the planning process, Michelle was a delight to work with. She was flexible and patient, accommodating multiple changes to the timeline for the services. We even had a last-minute cancellation and some additional requests, and Michelle handled everything with ease and understanding.
On the day of the wedding, the team arrived on time and ready to work. They were friendly and took the time to listen to my family and bridesmaids, making sure to understand their individual preferences. The entire process went smoothly, and I was impressed with the attention to detail and the level of skill they displayed.
Not only did my hair and makeup last all night, but so did my bridesmaids' and family friends'. Everyone looked absolutely stunning, and I received so many compliments throughout the evening. Great form start to finish!
I booked Sarah Tamargo for my hair and make up services about a year and a half out from the wedding date. I had a trial about three months prior to the wedding, and the inspiration photos. I provided them they almost replicated to a T. For the wedding itself, I had five of my family members along with me for hair and make up, and not only were they able to complete our hair and make up exactly on time, but they also made everyone look absolutely amazing. My sister-in-law requested a hairstyle that she previously went to another hairstylist for , and she was amazed at how well Sarah Tamargo’s team executed the hairstyle in comparison to the place she had previously visited. For me, despite it being extremely hot on the day of our wedding, both my hair and make up stayed for at least the entire day. Their hair and makeup artist team did an incredible job enhancing my natural beauty and making me feel like the most radiant version of myself. They are so talented and were so attentive to my preferences. They made a huge difference in my special day!
They were well-prepared and used top-notch techniques and products to ensure my look stayed flawless throughout the day. The airbrush tools and high-end makeup gave me the perfect, long-lasting finish. And the fact they made my makeup cry, sweat, and humidity-proof is just incredible! It's so important to have a team that understands the challenges of a wedding day and knows how to make your look withstand anything. I got married on 1/13/24 and the Sara T. team was my glam squad the day of my wedding. They did my (bride's) hair and makeup along with the hair and makeup of 4 other women. Several months before the wedding day, I had the opportunity to do a trial which I would highly recommend.
I wish I could remember the names of the 2 ladies who did our hair and makeup as they were sweet, patient, and professional. A few of the women in my bridal party asked them to make some minor changes to their hair toward the end of their time with us and they were very gracious and flexible. At some point, my photographer also asked the makeup artist to move the makeup chair to another location due to harsh lighting and the makeup artist was very flexible. I absolutely love my hair and makeup. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did given the sun and humidity of Playa del Carmen the day of my wedding.
I also want to mention their integrity. After their services, I gave them an envelope with the remaining balance in cash. We didn't review the amount together however, after they counted the balance, they approached me and stated the amount was over the remaining balance and returned the extra money. I definitely want to give them kudos for being honest :)
I highly recommend this vendor for bridal hair and makeup! -

Sara Tamargos team were truly amazing! I had 12 bridesmaids from New York and New Jersey and everyone said it was the best hair and makeup they have ever had!! I felt so amazing on my wedding day because of them! They used top quality products like dior Chanel etc and I am so so so happy I chose to hire them! 1000000% recommend! -

Planning a destination wedding is tricky! I was nervous about booking with a hair + makeup team that I have not worked with before but after seeing their impressive work on their social media, I felt confident! I was quickly connected with Michelle who was extremely kind and responsive! Booking, payment, and scheduling was very easy and I had all my questions answered quickly! I booked a trial and then hair and makeup for 12 women and bridal hair/makeup for me. Everyone was SO HAPPY! Everyone looked stunning and the artists were very professional, sweet, detail oriented, and open to feedback! I recommend this team & would love to work with them again! Thank you, ladies!!! You helped my ladies and myself feel our best for my special day! -

We had 2 ladies for hair and 2 ladies for makeup. Everyone turned out fantastic and loved how they looked and held up through out the night. I cannot recommend Sara and her team more. My makeup and hair looked perfect. Stayed on through the Mexico heat and I even jumped in the pool after my reception with my wedding party and my makeup completely stayed perfect. My lashes were intact and everything. I was truly so impressed and everyone kept mentioning how great it stayed. Her communication is unmatched and she completely listens to what you want. She didn’t have to fix a thing because I got exactly what I asked for. My hair was just like the photo and stayed in perfectly. I couldn’t have had a better experience. She’s professional, on time, and very communicative. Do not hesitate to book her. Her instagram photos are exactly what you will get. Her work is impressive! I felt beautiful all wedding day! -

Incredible team!
I had a small group, just myself my sister and mom. We had 1 makeup artist and 1 stylist
They were incredible! They were about 15 minutes early to set up, and got us ready early!! My makeup was incredible, she gave me exactly what I showed her and the ideas I had, the makeup lasted all night and my skin felt good even after it came off!! They use quality products
Hair was also perfect! I chose an updo for the wind and I didn’t have an exact photo, I described 2 styles merged together and she made it come to life!! I was super happy with my hair, it also last all night even with the wind ( besides a few whispers which no one can control)
I received compliments all night on how both came out!! Highly recommend booking this team -

Professional & Glam!
We hired Sara Tamargo's team for Hair/Makeup for our destination wedding based on referrals on a Facebook Bride's group for our resort and amazing reviews on Wedding Wire. Their social media presence really helps you understand their aesthetic and quality of work, which is really helpful if you don't have a trial and are planning things out of the country. The planning team helped create a schedule for the day and they were super flexible with adding/adjusting services as needed for ten of us. All of the bridesmaids were very happy with their hair/makeup and my mom was thrilled with hers as well, even though she had no idea what to expect. I felt beautiful on my wedding day, the makeup/hair style stayed all day and when I wasn't sure if I liked the shade of my eyeshadow, Margarita adjusted it to make sure I was happy - we were even ahead of schedule. Overall, very happy with their services - professional and beautiful work. The only recommendation that I would have is to provide a touch-up kit as part of the services or options to add one for a fee (i.e. lipstick/lip gloss). -

The two girls that worked on us did amazing. Very timely and nailed every look even for my mom who had no idea what she wanted. My makeup didn’t budge and my hair looked beautiful even though it was super windy and got a bit messed because if it. Highly recommend.

I had a trial two days before my wedding with Sara and Miriam. They were super friendly and took their time which was so appreciated! The communication barrier was a little bit challenging, but Sara stepped in when she needed to! There were a couple of changes I wanted to make for the actual wedding day, they listened and nailed my hair and make up perfectly! Thank you! -

We live in California and got married in Playa Mujeres. It would have been more affordable to just use the resort spa for hair and make up. We hired Sara Tamargo and paid extra fees to have them have access to the resort due to the amazing work that you can see on their Instagram every day. Their email response was incredible throughout the planning process.
She showed up early to set up and followed my inspiration pictures perfectly. Everyone at the wedding complimented my hair and make up. I felt beautiful and still looked like myself at the same time. The makeup and hair stayed all night!! -
