Top Tier Wedding Food and Service in the heart of Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara Club was perfect in every way for our wedding. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue and staff to work with. We picked Santa Barbara Club because of the amazing reviews on how amazing their food was. Food was always at the top of our priority list and SBC delivered. Every single one of our guests complimented on how amazing the food was and how professional the staff were. "Best wedding food ever" "5-star service all around" -

There are so many things that I could say about the Santa Barbara Club - I don't know where to start. We had the most amazing, magical and gorgeous wedding. The service was top notch from the moment we arrived for our tour. Julie showed us around, she was immediately so warm and inviting, and then once we booked, Alejandra took over and guided us through the whole process very patiently, answering all our questions swiftly and with a smile.
We looked at several venues in the Santa Barbara area and this place was by far the best value with so much natural beauty. We were really looking for a place that didn't require a lot work, we wanted to keep things easy, and that's exactly what we got. They have beautiful chairs, linens, etc. and our guests couldn't stop complimenting how stunning the venue was and how curated it felt, but the truth is we just had great vendors and a great canvas! The yard and building are so beautiful that you hardly have to do a thing! We also got so many compliments on our food - many, many people said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. What a high compliment!
On top of everything else, they patiently worked with us as we rescheduled our wedding from Spring 2020 to Spring 2021 to Fall 2021. They never showed an ounce of frustration and only extended compassion. It was amazing to finally have our big day. The staff at the Santa Barbara Club were amazing from top to bottom - I wish we could get married there every year! I absolutely encourage any couple to go with the Club for their big day! Huge thanks to Julie, Alejandra and everyone there! -

The Santa Barbara Club was the absolute best place to have our wedding. My husband and I had our ceremony at the SB Courthouse and then paraded with all of our guests to the SB Club with our guitarist and lots of instruments for the guests.
Julie and Alejandra took care of us through almost 3 years of planning the wedding and remained calm through all of the COVID-required rescheduling. They are both very communicative, friendly and organized. Early on in the planning stages we had a very fun menu tasting where every single item was delicious.
Jackie and Tina were fantastic throughout the reception, as we all were leaving that evening, and met us the next morning so that we could pick up some items that were left behind.
The space is gorgeous and has two separate areas for the bride, groom and their attendants to get ready. The bartenders were quick to make great drinks and the food was delicious. Dancing under the stars was absolutely perfect. I wouldn't change a thing! -

I spent a lot of time looking at wedding venue options and my fiancé and I toured a ton of venues. We had a bunch of tours lined up since we don't live in the area and SB Club was not one of them (somehow I never came across it in my search). We were disappointed in venues we thought we'd love so when we stopped for a coffee break in SB, I did a quick phone search and noticed there was a venue we were walking distance to that had great reviews - SB Club! We stumbled in and Alejandra happened to be free to show us around.
We immediately fell in love with the space, the character of the venue, the amazing food and incredible staff. Many other venues felt like wedding factories but SB Club is very intimate, special and unique. It's definitely a hidden gem in the heart of downtown SB. We were going to get married there on August 15 2020 but due to coronavirus, we had to postpone to May 2021. Julie and Alejandra have been very responsive and accommodating during this crazy time. I've heard a lot of horror stories about how venues are handling covid and I'm grateful we put our trust into SB Club.
Right before everything shut down, we had our tasting and it met our high standards as we are self-proclaimed foodies. We can't wait for our special day but are so thankful that the staff at SB Club has made this stressful time easier for us. Highly recommend! -

Perfect place for our reception!
We had a fantastic experience holding our wedding reception at the Santa Barbara Club. The food was excellent, the staff very attentive and the whole experience was so positive- they really took care of everything! Alejandra was great to work with in planning the event- giving lots of ideas when I wasn't sure about certain details. It was a great space for our outside party of ~130, with a dance floor that we rented and a band. -

Krissi Sent on 04/13/2018I have been in the wedding industry for 16+ years, so when it was time for me to plan my own wedding, I knew I would be picky. From the time I inquired with Julie to the finish of my event at Santa Barbara Club, I have been so impressed. Julie is a true professional who will guide you through what works well at the club while also keeping your own personal vision in mind. After the sales process, I was handed over to the extremely capable Alejandra. I do not know how to express the love I have for this woman. She made the planning process so seamless for me (planning it from San Diego). I knew that even the smallest of detail I handed to her would be taken care of. All of my requests and concerns were met with a "can do" attitude, and not once did she make me feel like I was bothering her. The night before the wedding I was introduced to Tina, the main banquet captain, who was going to be handling the flow for the day of. She was thorough and professional and they are so very lucky to have her.
On the day of my wedding, it was magic!!! The venue was set exactly the way I asked and it was gorgeous. The food was amazing and everything I had hoped for. Food was so important to us as a couple and they delivered in spades on this! We had scallops and short ribs as entrees and WOW!! My guests are still talking about how they were able to do scallops for that many people, and cook them so perfectly. The staff was attentive, polished and so welcoming. I literally could write a novel about how perfect this venue is, but I hope you will head there and see for yourself. If you have even one doubt, know that this event professional would choose Santa Barbara Club over any venue any day of the week! -

Sarah Sent on 05/08/2017I'm not sure there is enough time for me to say all the amazing things about the Santa Barbara Club. Alejandra and Julie were so helpful and amazing through the whole planning process. They responded promptly, accommodated all my ideas. They made everything happen. I had some unconventional food ideas and they totally killed it! I had things made that were not normally on their menu and their chef absolutely delivered!! The wait staff was so attentive and made sure me and hubby always had a drink in our hand and made sure we got apps during cocktail hour. It is definitely a hidden gem, not many people know about this venue but they should. Guys had a nice upstairs room with a pool table and couches and the girls were comfortable in a large old library with great lighting for makeup and photos! It is a beautiful space and a full service venue! -
User2678244 Sent on 07/08/2016We had the best wedding ever at The Santa Barbara Club. Beyond anything, the service was outstanding. Julie and Alejandra were prompt during the planning process (and I bombarded them regularly as an out-of-town bride who couldn't visit for herself). On the day of, Alejandra and the rest of the staff had everything down to a tee and the set ups, drinks, and food went off without a hitch. And the food was actually DELICIOUS, not necessarily a norm for weddings! They worked with us on our custom menu and exceeded our expectations (and we live in New Orleans where food matters so we're picky!). We did everything outside on the patio (ceremony & reception) and the grounds were beautiful. Zero complaints and relatively budget-friendly for Santa Barbara. Highly recommend. -
User1942857 Sent on 11/28/2014This place is a hidden gem. When my husband and I moved to LA and first came to Santa Barbara we knew it was where we would get married. What we also knew was that we wanted a place that was a great space and also had great food since I was too busy (and quite honestly, uninterested) in really "planning" a wedding with too many vendors but that was still reasonable.
After searching so many places and almost picking one I took one last glance through all the possible options for a wedding venue and somehow found the Santa Barbara Club.
Julie and Alejandra were so welcoming, helpful, and responsive throughout the whole process. They made sure the schedule was perfect and all the vendors (flowers, trolley, DJ, and photographer) were all in order. Everything was so well planned out and they made sure to keep us on a timeline in the most fluid way possible. I know timelines sound annoying for a wedding and I definitely was not interested in creating one but I know that all the great moments we were able to have at our wedding because of the great organization and schedule that was created for us!
Location: The location of this place is right downtown and from the front it's a classic SB style white building but the back is a gorgeous lush outdoor space for guests to mingle. The inside is a great space with wonderful detail. The dining room has sliding glass windows so that you can dine inside but still be able to enjoy the fresh air and weather.
Food: We had a chicken, salmon, risotto, vegetables, and potatoes au gratin as the main course served family style and a butter lettuce, grapefruit, and goddess dressing salad to start. We also had small desserts which I didn't even get to try but I heard people enjoyed.
We had 80 guests and everyone loved the club and the amazing food! -

We had an amazing experience with the Santa Barbara Club and I could not have imagined better food, service, ambiance, etc. than what we received from them. It was absolutely perfect! They are very professional, flexible, detail oriented and made the whole process very easy and smooth. We got rave reviews on the food and the location! They also helped me pick local vendors who knew the club which saved me time and ensured that the vendors were familiar with the venue. I would absolutely recommend having your wedding or event here!
