The BEST wedding photographer EVER!
Sarah was an absolute joy to work with. We had a small wedding and she worked with us to create a package that perfectly fit our needs. Through our consultations and meeting her on our wedding day she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Sarah is professional, easy going, welcoming, and fantastic to work with. She gave me and my husband great direction when taking our wedding portraits and helped manage everyone in our large group photos. We got our sneak peek photos just a few days after our wedding and they were beyond gorgeous.
Every photo perfectly captures every moment of our day. Multiple family and friends have asked for her name as they want to book her for future family photos.

From the moment we met Sarah, through receiving photos after the wedding, we couldn't be more pleased that Sarah agreed to work with us! Would pick Sarah again & again!
Meeting Sarah and getting to know her through our wedding planning process has been a bright spot in 2020! She was incredibly flexible, calm and reassuring when covid changed our engagement shoot and wedding plans multiple times. She sent us the most thoughtful little gift box after we signed our contract. During our engagement shoot she made my not-photo-loving husband feel comfortable in front of the camera! She listened carefully to what mattered to us, and did a beautiful job capturing our personalities in the pictures. After our 'minimony' ceremony, Sarah navigated us to some of her favorite spots in Old Town Alexandria, and even though we had never been there before, she managed to make it look & feel like us!
The day after our ceremony, when Sarah sent our sneak peek of photos, I started crying tears of joy! The whole day before had been a beautiful (and somewhat stressful) whirlwind, but as soon as I saw the pictures, and the way that Sarah captured our love, I immediately felt the lingering stress melt away. Sarah is incredibly talented and fun to be around-- I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Better than we could have imagined
Sarah was amazing. From our first discussion, she was wonderful and professional (but not at all pushy). She helped us craft a plan that stayed in our budget and produced hundreds of incredible pictures of a small, private ceremony and a second day of a larger reception. Her documentary style captured the unique feelings of both days. She put together a sneak peek in less than a day from our ceremony so we could display it at the reception. People raved about her work at the reception. She was wonderful to have around and spend time with; we spent a good bit of our actual wedding day with her taking photos around the District. Seeing picture from our reception and ceremony, I didn’t even realize she was there most of the time. She was able to capture amazing photos while not taking away from what was going on and allowing everyone to stay in the moment. In addition to all this, we had some major life events in the months before our wedding and changed the date twice. She was flexible, understanding, and incredibly supportive as we dealt with some difficult times. I wish I had more events for Sarah to photograph!

So Glad We Went With Santa Ana
We went with Santa Ana photography for our engagement and wedding photographs, and we could not be happier. Sarah was a pleasure to work with, and our photographs came out looking better than we could have imagined.
She did our engagement photos in Alexandria, an area she appeared to know pretty well. The locations she chose to shoot at were diverse and gave us a good range of photos. We did our first look at the National Portrait Gallery, which was a beautiful experience that I will never forget.
The photos of our wedding day themselves were also great. Somehow Sarah managed to get good photos of virtually ever guest there which was quite an achievement because we had a pretty big wedding.
In short, Santa Ana photography was everything we could have hoped for and more. Save yourself a lot of stress and go with Santa Ana!

Wedding photos are fun with Santa Ana Photography!
It's a given how great a job Sarah did, but what really stood out was how she did her job. She was prompt, on-time, courteous, professional, all that. But also she had a great way of getting the kids...and parents...into shots by making it a fun, group activity. I'd been previously married, and the photographer for that wedding was like your dad barking orders at you. This was more like a friend getting everyone together. Aside from that, she helped out with things way out of her scope of her duties...a little wedding coordination, a little helping the bride get dressed. And the engagement session before was a great way to get familiar with her and how she worked. All I can say is we were extremely pleased with Sarah. Thanks again!

Beyond Fantastic
Sarah was amazing. At the end of our wedding everyone who isn’t already married was asking for her information from us! She puts off this amazing, welcoming energy that people just radiate to! One of our nonnegotiables was photo/photographer. We were very nervous about who we hired because when the day is over the photos are all you have! My wife and I were so happy with how she was on top of everything before the ceremony, during the ceremony, taking personal photos, dinner, reception, and so on. I am telling you that if you do not hire Sarah for your photographer needs you are truly missing out. She is beyond fantastic!

Sarah is absolutely amazing. She was the photographer for our June 2015 wedding. We initially had engagement photos done with another photographer, but just didn't get the right feeling during the session or when we received the pictures. We reached out to Sarah after our poor experience and she was a god send! Her personality is amazing and she makes you comfortable from the moment you meet her. On the wedding day, it is hard for someone to make you feel comfortable when you're in a one-bedroom hotel suite with five bridesmaids + two moms + four hair/makeup artists, but Sarah was perfect. We were so comfortable, it didn't even feel like we were being photographed. Pre-wedding, she was also very accessible and had great communication to make sure we got all of the pictures we wanted on the big day. Our ceremony, reception, family, and detail photos turned out better than I could have imagined and it's all thanks to Sarah's photojournalist style and eye for detail. She is tremendous and I will be calling her for baby bump pictures in the future! When my now husband and I looked through our wedding pictures and album, he even commented on how much fun it was and how he wants to get married again! Sarah was able to capture that feeling in our photographs.
