Thanks to Sandy, I felt so beautiful on my wedding day!!! Sandy struck the perfect balance between wedding glam and a natural look that still felt completely like me. She truly knows how to enhance beauty rather than cover it up — I felt absolutely GLOWING. She gave special attention to me, my mom, and my sister, and made every bridesmaid, across different skin tones, feel confident and look their best. We loved working with her so much that we booked a personalized makeup class with her a few months later for my birthday. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, uses high-quality, clean products, and made the experience both fun and educational. I would recommend Sandy to any bride!! -

I don’t have the words to express how great it was working with Sandy — from the trial to the wedding day she was an absolute delight! During my trial, we discussed the inspo and hope for a clean look that would last the entire evening, and day of was able to relax and let her do her thing. She not only delivered but went above and beyond what I was hoping for. I’ve never felt so beautiful and my bridal party looked immaculate! I would book her again without hesitation. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Sandy! She did my makeup for my wedding and absolutely nailed that perfect “natural but elevated” look — I still felt like myself, just the best version possible. I will also say that the makeup still looked flawless as a rolled back to my hotel at 5am from the wedding afterparty.
Despite our extremely early call time, she showed up bright, bubbly, and full of positive energy that instantly lifted everyone’s spirits on a timecrunched morning. Her kindness, professionalism, and calming presence made the morning so enjoyable. I’m so grateful to have had her as part of such an important day — she’s truly a gem! 💕 -

I booked sandy about a week before my reception after going back and forth if I could manage doing my own make up. I am very glad that I booked her. She had 2 events that day and was right on time. Her products are top notch and she practices great hygiene with her tools. I didnt do a preview based on timing and really didnt feel like I missed it. I selected two looks from her Instagram to base mine off of and she described the differences. Talking through each step to make sure I felt comfortable with the application and look. -

We had such a great experience with Sandy!! She did make-up for me, my bridesmaids and my mom on my wedding day. Everyone's make-up looked great, suited their particular preferences, and held up all night long. She was also just such a great calm, professional presence on the day, and I think she did such an awesome job making everyone feel very comfortable with her (even the couple of my bridesmaids who don't usually feel comfortable wearing much makeup!) I would definitely recommend her to others. -

Sandy is an absolutely incredible makeup artist. She exceeded every one of my expectations and made me feel incredibly beautiful on my wedding day. She was one of my favorite vendors to work with! Her expertise and professionalism were clear from the onset. It’s also worth mentioning that I didn’t have a formal bridal party, so it was really difficult to find someone to do makeup just for me, my mom, and my mother-in-law. Sandy traveled to the venue to do makeup just for the three of us. Not only is Sandy’s work amazing, she is fun to talk to and clearly just an all around really lovely person. I highly recommend working with her! -

From our first contact, Sandy was terrific. She is a consummate professional, but also an incredibly lovely human being. I am so grateful that my bridesmaids and I worked with her. As an older bride (I'm 61!) and someone who doesn't generally wear a lot of makeup, I was a bit anxious about whether I even wanted to hire someone to do this work for me. I'm so very glad that I chose Sandy--and the women in my wedding party adored her too. She made all of us look and feel absolutely gorgeous. We haven't gotten official photos back yet (I will add shots when we have them) but even the spontaneous snaps are beautiful. She is mature, insightful, a lovely presence and did an exquisite job. Sandy did my wedding makeup, and Gabby styled my hair, and they both did an absolutely flawless job. Not only are they incredibly talented, but they were also such a positive and calming presence throughout the day, adding to the good vibes and making me feel at ease. Sandy’s attention to detail and skill made my makeup perfect—it lasted all day and photographed beautifully. Gabby created a stunning hairstyle that I absolutely loved, and it held up all night long! I highly recommend them both for any special occasion. They truly made me feel like the best version of myself on my big day. The price was also super affordable for the amazing work they put in. I found Sandy after a trial with another MUA did not go well. Sandy made the process at my trial very collaborative - she would ask me my preferences, clearly explain my options and her recommendations, and then show me the progress throughout the process so I could give feedback and we could adjust if needed. My makeup on the day of my wedding was perfect for me and held up beautifully. Whenever I’ve been a bridesmaid in the past, my (now) husband would usually say “it’s nice, it just doesn’t look like you”. On my wedding day I felt like an elevated version of myself, and my husband said it’s the best makeup I’ve ever had done (and I agree!). Sandy worked so well with my bridesmaids, they all had very positive things to say about the experience. After everyone’s makeup was complete they did touch ups on everyone which was great. Gabriela also worked with Sandy the day of given the size of my wedding party and did fantastic work as well! It was such a great experience working with them both and I’d highly recommend for your wedding day or any special event! -

There is no question in my mind that Sandy is the best in the business. If you are on her page, stop looking and just hire her!! From the get go, Sandy was quick to my questions, polite and professional, and had the most approachable demeanor. She has a heart of gold and welcomes you with open arms, and truly helps bring out your beauty inside and out. I came in with only one photo for her, and despite this, Sandy understood my vision, asked me to trust her expertise (I obviously did), and I was FLOORED by my results. She made me feel gorgeous, but also made me still feel like myself, not a dolled up, fake version, which is EXACTLY what I wanted. I'm confident you could see my skin from space with how dewy and glowy she made me look, and I can't describe how amazing she made me feel. On top of that, my bridal party/parents were all THRILLED with their makeup - I have been to plenty of weddings where someone in the bridal party gets upset that their makeup isn't what they wanted, but I knew with Sandy there was no chance. I can't recommend her enough for your wedding, engagement, or truly any big event!! -

Vibrant natural personalized beauty
I am so glad I found Sandy! My original hair and makeup vendor canceled on me a couple months before my wedding and luckily Sandy and her team were available. I believe everything happens for a reason because she and her team ended up being superior to my original vendor and made the entire experience fun and comfortable! Her style of makeup and hair is classic, natural and elegant. Communication was easy whether it was via email or in person. She was also extremely attentive. They accommodated requests like using personal makeup for a member of my bridal party as well as avoiding hair spray for one of my bridal party as well due to an allergy. Sandy made sure my experience was personal providing facial massage prior to makeup application and well as tweezing some rogue hairs to make sure I looked my best even with the small details. They were professional and on time and worked quickly but efficiently. Additionally, they are associated with glamour girl tan and we were able to get high quality spray tans prior to the wedding. I cannot recommend this company more for anyone with an upcoming wedding! -

Sandy is truly a professional..
Sandy did my bridal look and the makeup for my maid of honor. Both looks were exactly as they were at our trial, and the final results were STUNNING. The products she used were lightweight and lasted all night without looking "cakey". The application was absolutely flawless and I felt like a polished version of myself. Sandy was professional, polite, knowledgeable, experienced, and incredibly easy to work with. I would 10/10 reccomend her services for not just bridal looks, but any occasion you may have to look extra special for. -

Sandy is literally the best! She truly puts the "artist" in "makeup artist". During the trial, I had an idea of what I wanted, but also wanted to implement some of her ideas. This "teamwork" of ours resulted in the perfect look. She is thoughtful, and also took diligent notes during my trial. We also had a seamless experience getting ready on my wedding day. My makeup lasted all day, no smears or running. Outside of it all, Sandy is fun to be around! She was also very responsive throughout the whole process (from securing her as vendor to wedding day). -

Sandy was a dream to work with! Sandy is professional, kind, and cares about her clients. During our wedding makeup trial, she took her time explaining to me all the products she was using and really listened to my vision for what I wanted my wedding makeup to look like. She even sent me links to all the makeup products after my trial so that I could purchase the items on my own.
My bridesmaids and I loved our makeup on my wedding day, and her talent shined through. Sandy was such a joy to work with. She was super responsive and explained her processes in detail.
If I have another formal event, I will absolutely hire Sandy to do my makeup again! -

Reliable, amazing, stunning work
Sandy was the BEST wedding decision I made! Reminiscing on the day, I couldn’t have pictured my wedding day without her. From the very beginning, she was always extremely responsive and explained all parts of the process. Any questions I had she was quick to answer! I felt unbelievably beautiful the day of my wedding. Initially, I was so concerned that my skin concerns would be noticeable or that I would need so much make up to cover up those skin issues that I wouldn’t recognize myself. Sandy put all those worries to rest and she helped me bring out the best version of myself without looking like someone completely different. I was so at ease knowing I had her there and can’t thank her enough for being with me on such a special day. My girls, moms, and I all looked amazing all night long; make up didn’t budge! Sandy is incredible at what she does. From the trial to the day of, she made me feeling comfortable and understood. Sandy Thinnes is an extremely talented, makeup artist and a wonderful person who is very professional, fun and easy to work with.
As an older bride, who doesn't wear much makeup day to day, I was unsure on how to approach my wedding makeup. Sandy was extremely welcoming and patient as together, we discovered the right look for me. She enhanced and elevated my natural look with clean beauty products that felt great on my skin and lasted the whole day, including an outdoor photo session after the wedding reception. I highly recommend Sandy as your wedding or other events.

Sandy is such a talented and patient makeup artist! My makeup was absolutely perfect on my wedding day and I felt incredibly beautiful. I was a bit unsure of what I wanted in the makeup trial. After looking at the photos that Sandy took at the trial, I decided I wanted to go in a more glam direction vs a very natural look. We discussed the changes I wanted to implement and she did a phenomenal job. The makeup looked flawless and lasted all day. She also did my maid of honor’s makeup and she looked very glamourous. We worked with a hair dresser Sandy recommended and we both thought Gabrielle did an amazing job with our hair! -

I met Sandy at Glamour Girl Tan and when I got engaged had no hesitation reaching out to have her do my wedding day make-up. We did a trial run, made a few adjustments from there and I couldn't have been happier. Sandy listens to what you want and the look you are going for and then creates from there. She is extremely talented and brings a sense of calm to the whole process. She was timely and so easy to work with. She did my make-up as well as my 3 daughters and officiants. She even helped me with a hair debacle the next day for my wedding brunch. I got so many compliments and felt amazing! -

Fantastic wedding day makeup
Sandy was amazing. She is super responsive, flexible, and came to my house to do makeup for my whole wedding party. I felt so comfortable with her and loved the products she used (mostly MAC). Sandy and her team did my bridal makeup, as well as the makeup for my bridesmaids and MOTB. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the entire experience. Sandy was the consummate professional from consultation, to makeup trial and throughout the entire wedding day. She is extremely talented and will do your makeup in a way that elevates your true beauty, not completely disguises it (though I know the artist in her can accomplish any look you desire). Everyone was absolutely thrilled with their makeup and her team as a whole. On top of everything, Sandy was a true bright light… a positive and calming presence on a day that can easily get overwhelming for any of us. If you have a chance to bring Sandy into any of your events/projects, or just a normal day where you want to shine just a little extra, do not hesitate! I would recommend her over and over and over. She is absolutely magical. -

I am so thankful for Sandy and cannot recommend her enough! She is exactly who you need to be doing your makeup on your wedding day. She is an expert makeup artist but also brings a calming demeanor that puts you at ease ahead of your big day.
On my wedding day, I woke up with a stomach ache and a few prenuptial jitters. Sandy offered a beauty meditation and reiki. After a few minutes, my energy changed and I felt calm, centered, and my upset stomach went away.
I had a tiny little pandemic-wedding and Sandy took all the necessary precautions. She worked quickly and my make up turned out exactly how I wanted it. Eyeliner was perfection and the whole look lasted all night. I’ve never felt more beautiful than I did that day, and it was largely due to her expertise and calming-kindness. Thank you, Sandy, for sharing your beauty! -

Best makeup artist ever!
Do yourself a favor and hire Sandy Thinnes, the best makeup artist on earth for your wedding. She was the best decision I made while planning for mine! I’ve seen her work before and knew she’d be the best out there and I knew I wouldn’t trust anyone else on my big day. Here’s my honest review:
Professionalism: Even though my wedding was a destination, Sandy was prepared and traveled with her kit. She was early for my trial and the big day. She did some of my bridesmaids and my mother as well, but I was her main priority. She made me feel calm and kept track of time and never had to rush. While planning the big day, she even made me a schedule for everyone’s hair and makeup so we could get through the morning calmly and efficiently.
Talent: Sandy has a way of bringing out my best features and making my eyes pop. I’ve never felt more beautiful, but at the same time I still looked like myself, not someone wearing gallons of paint. No matter how hard I try, I can’t replicate it. She’s truly an artist.
Poise/Personality: Sandy is so sweet and funny, she made all of my bridesmaids and I feel so comfortable. She genuinely cared about us enjoying the day.
There’s lots to stress about on your wedding day, but many of the details don’t matter. The one thing you’ll always have to look back on are your photos and videos, so make sure you look amazing in them! -

Sandy did my makeup for my wedding trial and day and I can’t recommend her enough! We got married in July 2020 during COVID-19 and I really appreciated how flexible and understanding Sandy was. She was always prompt in her communications and she has such a personable demeanor. She just makes you feel special. Sandy immediately put me and my bridal party at ease with how serious she was taking safety precautions (sanitization, mask, air filters, etc.) which meant a lot. I really appreciated that she took the time to understand what I wanted and made sure I felt my most confident. Everyone’s makeup lasted the entire day and photographed so well. -

I had a great experience working with Sandy as my make up artist for my wedding. To have a natural and beautiful looking make up for my day was one of my biggest concerns as I didnt want to end up not feeling like myself. Sandy was the perfect choice for that, she got my vision right away and was able to implement it perfectly. I felt beautiful and just like myself on my special day while the make up felt light. One of my bridesmaids initially did not want to get professional make up as she also was concerned about it looking too much and artificial. After she saw Sandy styling me and other bridesmaides she decided on the spot to also get her make up done by Sandy as she loved her style . Furthermore, I got the spray tan from Sandy a few day prior to my wedding and I was very happy with that, too. Sandy was professional throughout the whole process and I can definetelly recommend her to anyone wanting to look beautiful on their wedding day. -
