We were a couple that relied heavily on Samantha with zero planning beforehand. We decided to get eloped in New Orleans 1 day before we arrived. We did online research and immediately felt like she was an incredible option, but was likely too busy to respond in the short window we would need to make this happen. We were not in town long, and needed to do it on a certain day, at a certain time. We reached out to the cell phone listed on her website late at night the day before. We were shocked when she was quickly responsive, and was willing to accommodate time and place we wanted to use. She was incredibly knowledgeable about locations, areas for photos, and pretty much everything in between related to NOLA. It felt like we had our very own elopement concierge. She made us feel like we were her first priority, and generously shared her insider-take on NOLA (she lives in the French Quarter) We were a little scattered trying to get everything together in such a short time, and she was a steady, positive guiding light that calmed (my) nerves that we didn’t have our ducks in a row.
She helped us select the absolute perfect location, performed and elegant and heartfelt ceremony tailored to us, and captured photos that rival the work of any professional photographer! People that see the photos ask for the name of who we used ! They are truly so beautiful. Her expertise and experience, along with talent, and a caring heart made the day absolutely perfect. We cannot recommend Samantha highly enough. She truly executed the most flawless and enjoyablei experience for our elopement in the French Quarter New Orleans. Your wedding or elopement is to important to use someone else. Samantha and her work are professional, elegant, and executed with heart. 💗

Eloping in New Orleans
Samantha was wonderful to work with! My fiancée and I planned a secret elopement in New Orleans and she helped us come up with a beautiful ceremony that honored both of our spiritual traditions. She was a huge help to us in getting our paperwork down and gave us great recommendations on local sights to see.
We purchased the photo package and they turned out great. She took lots of creative shots and went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with them, even arranging to meet with us after a different wedding she performed so that we could transfer the photos onto my phone using her cable.
You can tell she has been doing this work for years and that she loves what she does. She is warm hearted, knowledgeable, and above all she is professional! I would recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant.

It was such a wonderful experience and we could not have done it with out her! My husband and I are happy we went with Samantha as our wedding officiant and photographer. The thought of planning and having a wedding was nerve wracking for me. I wanted a simple and sweet ceremony. Samantha had prepared the perfect vows for us. I was also l worried my photos would look awkward and too posed. Everything we did with Samantha and our elopement was excellent. The note I'll call out especially was her flexibility. Our planned date for the outdoor ceremony had a terrible weather forecast. Samantha was really helpful and understanding in working with us to shift the date. The ceremony was perfect and lovely. Then, sure enough, it rained buckets and was windy all the next day. Samantha was a life saver for us, and I would recommend her to everyone.

Would recommend her over and over
My now husband and I got married on Halloween in New Orleans this year and let me tell you it was not an easy task to find somebody just four months before our wedding day. I immediately clicked with Samantha after finding her on Google and we had great conversation. She knows all about the French Quarter, and exactly where to go and what to do. She listened to us completely about our desire for a nondenominational vowel exchange and executed it perfectly. She also did photographs for us after the wedding and went above and beyond. Easiest part of our pandemic wedding
Rev. Samantha was a godsend! Our marriage license was about to expire and we needed to find someone to officiate our wedding right away. Her website has an online booking feature that made it very easy to say exactly where I wanted to have our little ceremony. She emailed me back right away to confirm and 2 days later we were married! Perfect elopement in New Orleans
We were looking for something simple, especially since it was a second marriage for both of us. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. Samantha met us on time, the rain held off and our wedding went perfect! We selected City Park as our venue. The pictures were beautiful. Samantha was very familiar with the area and had many suggestions for pictures and poses. I would recommend her to any couple looking to have a simple ceremony. I would choose this option again 100%!

New Orleans Elopement
My fiancé and I wanted to elope in New Orleans and Samantha was an absolutely perfect fit for us. She was extremely accommodating and provided us with all the resources we needed to make our day exactly how we dreamed it would be. We opted for the elopement package that included an hour of photography and she captured better pictures than I could have hoped for. I’m just so pleased with everything she helped us with. This was exactly what we were hoping for. Samantha was amazing and made us feel comfortable. She came right to our hotel and we were able to have the quick and easy wedding that we were looking for. As promised, it was less than 20 min. which allowed us the time we wanted to view the city on our vacation. The vows were amazing and incorporated God in the way we had hoped it would. Booking Samantha as our officiant was very easy on her website and she responded immediately. She also provided some relevant details about our stay in New Orleans to help us out. She communicated with me through text to confirm our plans a couple of days before the ceremony, and was super accommodating when we had a last minute change of itinerary. Our photos turned out beautifully, and the ceremony was exactly what we wanted. She also provided lots of cool details about City Park as we were walking around taking the pictures. We got married by Samantha on September 14, 2018. She was amazing! We had some hiccups in our lodging accommodations and had traveled from North Louisiana that day for our wedding, so we were super stressed out by the time we arrived at her wedding chapel. Samantha was the cherry on top of our wedding day. She contacted us early on the morning of our ceremony with a lovely Happy Wedding Day text and reached out to us several times throughout the day in response to my last minute confusions. I am extremely thankful for her patience...we had decided to take the trolley from the Bourbon Street area up to City Park where we would elope under the Singing Oak (which couldn’t have been more perfect). As it turned out RTA service is NOT as on time as they claim to be and it took us over an hour to make a 31 minute trip...not to mention a mid trip transfer to a bus which actually took us to our final destination. Alas...Samantha was there waiting, with a calming smile, when we finally arrived. Her civil ceremony and Apache blessing were perfect for us. I highly recommend Samantha and am confident she will meet (if not exceed) the expectations of couples looking for marriage officiant services. THANK YOU Samantha!!

St. Patrick's Day perfection
I don't have enough positive words to accurately describe how wonderful Samantha was. We changed locations within City Park last minute the day of, and it was the most beautiful backdrop for some breathtaking pictures. I chose City Park because it was a filming location for American Horror Story: Coven. Because of the location change, the filming location made it into some of our wedding pictures. And for that I am beyond elated. The vows we used were from one of her standard scripts, but were still genuine and made me cry the happiest tears. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I had no idea how to plan a wedding. My husband and I knew from the beginning we were wanting to elope. However our original plans fell through and we were left with hardly any time to plan our wedding. Thankfully Samantha knows exactly what she's doing. We had such a wonderful time and loved every minute of it. I still tear up looking at the pictures and thinking about how amazing that day was. My wife and I were married in New Orleans because we love the city, it was where we took our first trip together, and Samantha made it so easy. The whole wedding cost $400. It took an hour with over 200 pictures, in so many places if you didn't know New Orleans you would think she spent the day with us.
She as easy to work with, coached us through the license process and even bumped up our time because she was worried about the weather.
Even the women at the city, who grant the licenses like working with her.

Samantha was amazing, so helpful whilst we were making our plans and totally awesome on the day of our marriage. It was a very special moment for us especially being from the UK, Samantha made it totally special. The Chapel is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone. Our day could not have been more perfect.

Everything is great! I really recommend the Chapel at St Charles if you want a Simple and Intimate Wedding like i did. Me and my Husband really loves it. We love the Decorations and the Space it great.

I can’t say enough great things about Reverend Samantha McGovern! We traveled from Ohio to elope in New Orleans. Samantha helped make our day even more special by capturing these great pictures! We were so blessed to be joined together by Samantha. She has such a kind, helpful, and up lifting personality. On top of that she was very understanding and patient when I was running late. Her little chapel is sooo cute and the ceremony was very sweet. We are beyond happy we found Samantha!

Samantha was wonderful and did a great job with our wedding. Her recommendation were spot on and helped make my day a perfect one. I changed my time and location because of her because she thought of the things we missed such as the bathroom and rain storms for our outdoor park wedding. The pictures are amazing and beautifully done.
My husband and I couldn't be more please with everything she did. She have a lot of spots and ideas to make sure you get the best pictures for your special day. Looking at the pictures brought tears to my eyes. I loved every one of them.
She was always available to answer questions and her website is spot on with anything you need to know from where to get the license and personalized vows for you and your love one.
I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a package deal that will not break the bank but she will give you service and products that are priceless. We are Very pleased with everything!! Great work thanks Samantha!!!!

We can not thank Samantha enough ! Beautiful ceremony at her chapel with our close family. From the beginning Samantha was very helpful with everything she welcomed us with open arms and was very professional. We are so happy that we did not go to the courthouse to get married it would not have been as beautiful and wonderful ! I would recommend her services. From the moment we spoke with Samantha we knew she was the right person to officiate our wedding. We just wanted something small and intimant for my husband and I and our parents.
