French-Chinese-American Wedding
We hired Samantha for our 120-guest wedding at Chateau de Vandeleville, and I'm so incredibly grateful we got to go on our wedding planning journey with her.
From our first meeting, I felt Samantha's calming presence, kindness, and warmth, which immediately made me want to work with her.
I am very particular about organization, so I really appreciated that she was able to work with my organization style, which involved many spreadsheets and Google docs.
She was so incredibly patient throughout the planning process, especially when I changed my mind so many times on the details. She chased down vendors who weren't responsive. She knew I really wanted to be involved in the planning, so she ensured I was able to weigh in on the details, even on the day before, which I loved. I wanted to be a wedding planner when I was a little girl, so this was a dream come true!
I think Samantha's superpower is her ability to deal with unexpected events, and her superpower shined through on our wedding day when it rained. It rained right when our ceremony was supposed to start, which caused some chaos as we had already set everything up for an outdoor ceremony. Before the ceremony started, I saw her flipping cushions upside down, so they didn't get wet, while getting completely soaked herself. The rental company also delivered fewer chairs than we ordered the day before the wedding, and Samantha magically got the remaining chairs delivered just before our ceremony started. She also got us a refund for those missing chairs, which we really appreciated. We also had an incident with the shuttle we hired to take our guests from the hotel to the chateau and back. The return shuttle was late and we couldn't get a hold of them. Samantha was ready to drive guests 40 minutes to the hotel herself in her own, and that's just one incredibly example of how dedicated she is. Fortunately the shuttle eventually arrived, just very very late.
Because it rained on our wedding day, she had to work extra hard to ensure the day was smooth and still aligned to my vision. For example, the catering company had to set up the champagne tower inside because of the rain. But after the rain stopped, I asked for it to be outside. Next thing I know, I see Samantha and my caterer carefully carrying the champagne tower (which was already stacked up and partially filled) outside for us.
She set up the ceremony site and the reception area so beautifully. We have the most beautiful couple photos at our ceremony site that we'll cherish forever. She also worked so hard to repurpose all the flowers from the ceremony site to the reception area, and it looked absolutely stunning. I cried when I saw the reception area, and I don't cry very easily!
Samantha is truly dedicated to the happiness of her couples. She reminded me on the day-of to pause to enjoy the moment and that really helped me enjoy the day -- it didn't feel like a complete blur! Throughout the day, Samantha checked on us, ensured we ate and drank water. She also made sure I didn't drink too much too early in the evening, which saved me from a bad hangover and going to bed too early.
My husband and I are so grateful to Samantha for giving us the most magical wedding day, despite all the challenges that she had to deal with. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Samantha!! -

We could not be more thankful for Samantha’s work on our wedding day! We hired Samantha to plan an intimate wedding with 30 or so guests at Chateau de Bouthonvilliers. I was in need of so much direction and assistance planning a wedding aboard. I am just so grateful to have had Samantha keep me on track and ask all of the right questions during the entire process. She made sure we were connected to vendors that fit our specific needs and her entire team were just as courteous, kind, and skilled as she was. We met two times in person flying in from New York to Paris before the wedding itself and Samantha was there both times to orchestrate meetings and translate for us when we needed. She was extremely efficient and made everything look effortless (despite the on and off rain showers that threatened our magical day). The coordination, preparation and guidance that was shown to my husband and I for the months leading up to our wedding day was invaluable. We simply could not have coordinated with our vendors without her expertise. The entire event was a dream that we will cherish for a lifetime. -

Truly a wonderful experience with Samantha
Samantha is one of a kind, she is extraordinary and my husband and I could not be more grateful to have gotten the chance to know her, and work with her during such a special time when planning our destination wedding.
Samantha is kind, honest (in the best way possible), patient, and truly was a joy to work with leading up to our wedding and during the wedding events. We miss her now that the wedding has passed!!
During the planning process, Samantha helped keep us organized. Samantha helped us stick to timelines and budgets and helped us find a venue while we stayed in NYC. Samantha went to multiple venues in Paris and sent us pictures and videos to help us decide. Samantha also worked with us to select the best vendors and all of Samantha’s recommendations were spot on. Truly could not have asked to have been surround by better, warmer people on our day than those she surrounds herself with.
Once we arrived in Paris and had the opportunity to meet Samantha for the first time in person, it felt like we had known her for years. Samantha is very warm and truly looks out for you during any events you may have planned with her. Samantha puts you first and does everything in her power to meet all your needs and expectations.
For us, Samantha helped us arrange a boat cruise for welcome drinks and then the our wedding the following day. Samantha was on it and brought our vision and all of our dreams to life. On the actual wedding day, Samantha is your #1. She is there to steam your dress, make sure you eat, calm your nerves, etc. She does it all!
I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful and on it Samantha was, from the beginning to the end. She was always available when I had a question or needed her advice leading up to the wedding and during the actual events, all of her incredible talents shinned through. Samantha knew what you wanted or needed, even before you did. Which is an impressive gift.
Overall, from meeting Samantha online to selecting a venue and all of our vendors without seeing anything until the actual wedding day, I cannot emphasize enough that nothing could have went better or smoother, all thanks to Samantha.
Run, don’t walk when picking Samantha as your wedding planner. You won’t regret it, she is a dream.

We cannot speak more highly about our experience with Samantha Bottelier, who really went above and beyond as our wedding planner and set a gold standard for all others. After attending a friend’s wedding in France in 2022 who used Samantha as their planner, we liked her and her style so much, we decided to use Samantha for our three day 2023 wedding, given that we were a French - American couple who wanted to have our wedding in France (specifically, Bordeaux). We started the process late (Oct 2022 for a May 2023 wedding), and Samantha made us feel like her top priority and only client throughout, despite the fact that she’s deservedly in demand and was booked with weddings throughout the season!
Samantha was amazing to work with for many reasons:
(1) She has amazing taste, kept us organized, and once she was able to help us come up with a vision and theme, she consistently provided excellent and right on point recommendations for decor, caterer, events, wedding timelines, gifts, etc.
(2) We had a 150 person 3 day wedding, included two dinners, dancing until 4am, cocktails, fireworks, post wedding brunch, etc. We were also planning the wedding from California for a majority of American guests. Samantha not only kept us organized and on track during the planning process, but she made us feel like everything was under control throughout- I didn’t have any bridal anxiety in the months leading up! She also met us in Bordeaux to find our original venue, do our wedding tasting etc.
(3) Samantha knew all the best vendors in Bordeaux. Delicious food for the three days was our top priority (with fun dancing !!) and she helped us find and secure Montblanc, along with the perfect variations for Friday’s welcome dinner and the Saturday seated wedding dinner so it all felt unique and special for our guests who had traveled a long way.
(4) Although we never met the photographer Samantha recommended, Daria Lohrman, she exceeded any expectations we had too, and Samantha made sure her vibe and personality matched mine and my husband’s so it was an easy and fun three days working with both of them.
(5) our original wedding venue, where we were hosting 3 days of events and lodging 40 of our 150 guests, was shut down 5 days before our wedding weekend. This was obviously a worst case scenario and unplanned disaster. Samantha helped us survive the experience with graciousness, helping us find a new venue for all the events (and assisting with new lodging), and she worked tirelessly, night and day, in the days leading up to the wedding to make sure the revised wedding was just as amazing (if not even more special!!) than the original plan. I an à very type A lawyer, and I was able to still relax and not get anxious about all the changes in the week leading up to the wedding because of Samantha’s clam demeanor, take charge attitude, organization and tireless efforts.
(6) I’ve been a bridesmaid in 13 weddings and really wanted ours to be fun, unique and special. Samantha really helped throughout the planning process to ensure there were special touches and moments throughout, and more importantly, make sure me and my husband (and our immediate families), could enjoy the fruits of all the wedding planning labor. I had the most amazing wedding weekend and it really was even better and more fun than I could have ever imagined. I’m clearly biased but the amount of guests who told us this was the best wedding they had ever attended is also a testament to Samantha!
(7) during the weekend itself, Samantha made sure my husband and I were completely shielded from anything that would detract from our joy and happiness. Samantha handled any tough conversations, made sure everything about the weekend went according to plan and schedule, she graciously was able to talk down guests who wanted to give us surprise and unplanned speeches, and she was consistently a beacon for us and made it so we could enjoy the weekend without our phones or any distractions! And she made sure we got to try and eat all our delicious food :)
We could go on and on about Samantha, but honestly, if I ever had to plan any sort of event, and whenever I need to recommend a wedding planner to future brides and grooms, Samantha is the only choice. By the end, she felt like not only our planner, but a friend, and she was an integral part of the weekend and experience. With Samantha, you not only get the memorable and beautiful wedding you want, but you also get a beautiful and memorable experience throughout.
She’s just amazing - an easy choice for a wedding planner!!!

Samantha is an excellent planner who is professional, responsive and so kind!
We live in New York City and hired Samantha Bottelier to help us plan our dream wedding for 90 guests in Paris. Samantha was lovely to work with and provided much needed support from across the Atlantic through her most inclusive package. Prior to meeting with her in person, Samantha worked with us to identify a list of venues to visit with her in person the September prior to our April wedding. She accompanied us to visits at several venues (hotels and event spaces) in Paris and helped us ask important questions and weigh our options. My husband and I selected the Ritz Paris and she worked closely with the hotel team to make sure everything went smoothly. Leading up to our wedding date, Samantha and I exchanged many emails and scheduled virtual calls to touch base. I do not speak French so she was great to have as an intermediary! She was very flexible and responsive in all of her communications. I always was able to get in touch and she was so helpful in coordinating on design elements. Based on the package we selected, Samantha also helped us organize our rehearsal cocktail event on a river boat on the Seine. She has a great network of vendors that we hired — the same ones that caught my eye on blogs and Instagram all knew her! She worked so well with all of them coordinating our pre-wedding and wedding photo and video shoots. Samantha made sure our wedding day decorations that we selected on our own from Etsy (signage, place cards, thank you notes) were all placed beautifully. She and her assistant were very attentive the day of our events, even making sure I ate (which can be challenging as the Bride since you are taking to people all the time!). It was so nice having Samantha throughout the planning experience — we never felt stressed, overwhelmed or pressured working with her. It was almost felt like we had a friend who happens to be a professional wedding planner! Thank you again for a magical, unforgettable wedding! -

I hired Samantha to be my day of coordinator and it was seriously the best decision I made. Leading to my wedding, she helped me make decisions, gave me great recommendations, and helped me stay organized. Day of the wedding, she was phenomenal. It felt like she knew everything I/family needed. My mother in law didn't feel well and Samantha offered to get her medicine and whatever else she needed. My entire family still rave about her for other things I wasn't aware that happened. Samantha is truly the sweetest and best coordinator I could have imagined. Even my husband agrees that she was great at the wedding. I highly highly recommend her.

Very organized and detail-oriented
We started talking to Samantha in 2019! Unfortunately, Covid broke all our plans and our wedding, initially planned for September 2020, could not take place until May 2022. Samantha was there throughout this adventure, with patience, positivity and kindness that made us comfortable. We decided to work with Samantha to plan our wedding for ~160 guests just outside of Paris and we had a wonderful experience working with her! From visiting venues together to identifying and helping us choose the best vendors, Samantha's expertise and calm, can-do attitude helped us to plan and execute the perfect day! Samantha made sure she was always available whenever we had a question or needed advice, and she was relentless in following up with vendors who are at times very slow. From the moment we interviewed Samantha, we knew she was our top choice for our wedding planner based on her compassionate, organized, creative and open minded personality and vibrant energy. My wife (fiancée at the time) and I knew from our first impression of Samantha that she would care for our special day as if it was her own, and we are over joyed to say we were not wrong!
My wife and I live in San Francisco, United States, and dreamt of having a destination wedding in the most romantic city in the world, Paris. With this seemingly ambitious dream, we initially felt overwhelmed with the uncertainty of having a wedding in a different country. We quickly realized that it was essential that we have a planner we can trust to help make our vision of our special day, nothing less than perfect! Samantha not only made it so incredibly easy to trust her, but we found that we could rely on her to keep us on track with picking vendors, staying on budget, and calming our nerves during this unprecedented time of Covid. Samantha gave us options of all of our vendors and every vendor we picked was incredible in their own right! We were blessed to have a dream team! The day of the wedding, my wife and I were baffled at how beautiful and smooth everything came together. Samantha was organized, calm, and collected but was handling everything and anything with ease. We did not have to worry about anything other than enjoying our moment. This helped calm mine and my wife's nerves, allowing us to take in the beauty and perfection of Paris and the day. Looking back a few months after, I am still humbled by how blessed we were to have Samantha guide us, as well as all of our guest, through one the greatest, if not best, moment of our lives so far.
When planning and preparing for a wedding everyone inspires to have the feeling that, even months and years after your big day has passed, the memory of your wedding day would be the fantasy you've always dreamt of come true. That is where me and my wife are right now and we owe that experience and feeling to Samantha! We honestly could not have dreamt of a more perfect wedding planner!!!! -

Samantha was a DREAM of a wedding planner! Living in Los Angeles and planning a wedding in France was a bit daunting, but Samantha was with us every step of the way. I can confidently say that I would not have been able to pull off any of this without her.
Over a year before we even started planning she showed us so many wonderful venue options in and around Paris. She knew ALL the best vendors and helped organize everything from start to finish. She helped with translating since I do not speak French. Samantha went above and beyond with every little detail, was super organized, and just the sweetest person overall!
We had our entire group of friends and family in from United States combined with some guests from France (lots of coordinating) and all events turned out amazing. Even our family and friends commented on how amazing our planner ways. =) I highly recommend Samantha to any bride and groom planning a wedding in France. 10/10!samantha bottelier events's reply:

We got married in June 2019 in South West of France, and were really lucky to have Samantha on our side during our wedding day ! She helped us a lot to organize and plan our special day! She also gave us a lots of advices based on her previous experiences which was really helpful as we were not always sure what to do, where to start etc. We can't thank her enough for everything she did !

Where do we even start with Samantha? She was the BEST decision we made for planning our Paris wedding. We worked with Samantha well over a year to plan our wedding and it was so enjoyable. I'm also a wedding planner, and I knew that I didn't want to plan my wedding myself, but I wanted to find someone I could really partner with/trust. Samantha went above and beyond! It was also important to work with someone that knew Paris and could really make our vision come to life. She did that and more! From the venue tours to vendors recommendations through the wedding day, we felt completely taken care of. She listened to everything we wanted and offered amazing vendors and suggestions. She was especially important when we had major issues with a hotel block. At the welcome event and wedding, Samantha was incredibly calm and truly allowed us to enjoy our days. Everything was so smooth. She is professional, easy to work with and organized. We cannot recommend her enough and HIGHLY, HIGHLY suggest anyone looking for a planner to book Samantha. Samantha - thank you for everything and creating the most beautiful and perfect-for-us wedding. We cannot thank you enough!
For anyone getting married in Paris or France, it's pretty important that you know French when planning a wedding, and if you don't, hire a planner that does! There are many vendors that we selected and loved that we wouldn't have been able to communicate without Samantha. -
