Captured Our Wedding Perfectly

Sam has photographed our proposal, engagement and our daughter's senior portraits, so it was only fitting that he captured our big day! We love his work. Sam is detailed and has an eye for the best shots. We loved going through all of the photos and cannot wait to see our album from our package. The options for packages were really nice and the communication leading up to the big day was great. Thanks for giving us the BEST photos from our dream wedding!

Sam Ellis or as I call him Mr. Ellis. I've known his man was going to shoot my wedding for a long time. He made the day so simple and pulled off next day sneak peeks. I cannot wait to see how he captured my day but I just know from using him prior it will be amazing. Best photography around, BOOK HIM!

Exceeded All Expectations!

From start to finish of our daughter’s wedding day, Sam Ellis was outstanding. He delivered everything we asked for and more in a timely and professional manner. He captured every moment of the day and the images are breath-taking. You hardly knew he is there, but the results are amazing. Sam will definitely be doing our next daughter’s wedding and all our photography needs in years to come!

Super Sam!

We booked Sam for an engagement session on the beach. He was easy to contact and timely with all of his communication. Our originally scheduled day got rained out and he was able to rebook us for a new day not long after our original. As two people who are camera shy we went into this session with some nerves but Sam made us feel very comfortable. He gave great direction and prompts for the poses and had us shoot at a variety of locations in the state park. He even spent some extra time waiting at the end just to make sure the sunset wasn't going to throw us any beautiful surprises as it dipped below the horizon. We appreciated his thoughtfulness in every shot and we are thrilled with our photos! Would recommend him in a heartbeat and look forward to the next time we are able to work with Sam.

We could not be happier with our wedding photos! Sam captured every amazing moment of our big day so well! We are so excited to have such incredible photos to share with friends and family. Sam was very responsive even with his busy schedule. Even with last minutes changes to our ceremony location, Sam was quick to adapt. He got our photos back to us only ONE WEEK after the wedding!! We will cherish these pictures forever!

From the first time I had contact with Sam I knew he was a great choice. He was very responsive and easy to work with. We picked our wedding venue because of the view of the DE bay, and I was hoping for Sunset picture on the dock. The day of my wedding it poured and I was so worried about the pictures. He was very flexible and set up the pictures beautifully.
I am sharing one of my favorite picture from that night. It's hard to pick because all of them were fabulous. I highly recommend Sam Ellis for Weddings, engagements or any event.

Sam was AMAZING!! I actually had not spoken with him prior to our wedding, but didn't have to! He was so detail oriented in his emails and responded quickly which was much preferred since we both are busy at work during the day. His pricing and packages are very accommodating and customization as well. We ended up adding an associate photographer which was great to get multiple angles and shots. The day of our wedding he was right on time, super professional, and had a great plan to make sure each photo was taken. Thanks again Sam! You were such a pleasure to work with!

Sam Ellis was punctual, fun and flexible! I could not have been more happy with his services! He has various packages to choose from and gives discounts to teachers! He took so many wonderful photos, I am having trouble picking my favorites. He even suggested a videographer that he has worked with before, and she was just as wonderful as he was. I would recommend Sam Ellis to any one looking for a great photographer!

Sam was great because he was creative. Lots of different backgrounds & loved all the shots getting ready.
He had a list of shots with names of all participants so we didn't waste anytime & could hang out with or guests!

Sam was amazing to work with. He understood my wife's apprehension about photo's and worked with us to make it as easy as possible for her. He was everywhere getting amazing shots, but never felt like he was in our face. The quality of his shots was amazing. Sam's pricing, professionalism, and quality make him a must choose for your wedding.

Sam Ellis was a great photographer for our wedding at Baywood Greens Country Club. It was a beautiful venue so I wanted a photographer that was experienced with Baywood Greens and was able to capture every detail and moment, in which Sam succeed! Sam was on top of it and very organized. He had excellent communication during the planning process leading up to the wedding. We had fireworks at our wedding and he got great shots of such a special moment. Sam arrived a few hours prior to the wedding and stayed until the very end! He also gives discounts to teachers, which was very thoughtful and a plus for us teachers! We had our engagement pictures with Sam on the beach. It was a great opportunity to learn more about Sam and his style prior to the wedding. Sam posted a few preview pictures from the wedding that night and the next day, which was really exciting. He also brings an assistant to help him capture every moment! We were very happy with the custom wedding album that was delivered a few months after the wedding. Each page is custom made with amazing layouts, great quality, and is beautifully bounded which we will cherish forever. Sam is also working with bridal magazines to showcase our beautiful wedding pictures. Sam is a "5 star" wedding photographer!

Sam is a good friend of mine, great guy, and an even better photographer! I have hosted many weddings at our restaurants and worked with him professionally numerous times and he always remains professional, compassionate, and patient with weddings. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to have him work with us on our actual wedding day. Capturing moments, the ones that you think are just you and your wife/ husband, is what he does best. We never felt he was over-bearing and barely noticed him....but he was always right there next to us to catch every moment...big or small. I highly recommend using Sam! Also suggest going with the best package he offers, as having two photographers only increases the chances of catching truly amazing-candid photographs.

Sam is a great photographer, and just a downright awesome guy. We are so lucky to have found him for our wedding. He was responsive to my many emails, professional, and fun. Prices are fair and he has several packages to choose from. His photobooth was a hit with guests because it's an open-air booth that can fit tons of people and he provides several props. The wedding photos are gorgeous, and what I think I like the most about him is that he gets genuinely excited when he takes a great shot! You can tell he really likes what he does. I highly recommend him.

I reached out to Sam to schedule engagement pictures on the beach! He was very responsive and very nice! We had our engagement pictures taken Mid July on a Monday evening by Fenwick Island State Park. The scenery was beautiful and Sam's professionalism showed. We had a ton of fun and we are very happy with our Pictures! I would highly recommend Sam!

I think the best decision I made when planning my wedding was choosing Sam Ellis as our photographer. He is phenomenal. First, he is friendly and prompt with his replies, while maintaining professionalism. He made us feel very comfortable while being photographed. Sam does anything to get a good shot: he stands on things, he'll lie down on the ground, and he'll even balance in the sand to get something special! I really suggest getting your engagement photos with him so you have a chance to interact with him prior to your wedding. It's a great experience!
Our wedding photos are beyond wonderful. We are SO SO happy with them. We had numerous compliments on Sam after our ceremony and reception and even more when our friends and family viewed our photos. It was cold outside the day we got married, snow flurries actually, and Sam was so creative in making our indoor photos look amazing and unique. Sam encouraged us to go outside for sunset photos and it was well worth being cold! Trust him! My oldest brother told me that our photos are the best wedding photos he has ever seen...and he does not dole out compliments easily!! I am still just amazed at how many beautiful and memorable photos we have to look at and peruse!

Sam Ellis was an outstanding photographer, & I would recommend him to EVERYONE! He was very professional, & his second photographer, Brandon Shockley, was awesome too! They both ensured that all of our wedding day was captured by camera.

Sam was always accessible by email/phone, & was prompt in his responses. He answered all questions and helped to ease all of our stress with regards to the wedding day.

The photobooth he provided us with during our reception was AWESOME! Never in my life have I ever been somewhere that had so many props for the photobooth. Everyone loved the photobooth & I would strongly recommend people adding this to their package!

All in all, I would strongly recommend Sam Ellis to everyone!

Sam Ellis is amazing! He was so flexible with the long shot list I gave him prior to our wedding! He and his assistants were so great at getting so many wonderful shots without being intrusive during our ceremony or reception. The photo album and prints are wonderful! Everyone who sees them can not stop raving about how amazing everything looks. He has a quick turn around time when prints and albums are ordered. Pictures were very important for our wedding and I am so glad we went with Sam because the pictures are perfect!

We enjoyed having our photography done by this vendor very much! Brandon, of Sam Ellis Photography, was professional, very organized but also so much fun to have with us for our special day. He followed the requested checklist the company asked for but worked so efficiently that we also had time to add in extra photo opportunities that were not on the list. We got to be spontaneous which we loved along with the planned and posed pictures. We felt like we could still be with our guests and actually enjoy our wedding day! As the bride, I loved having him take photos while I was with the bridesmaids and my Mother before the ceremony. Although this is usually a very personal time for a bride, the photographer, Brandon, was fun and created a nice and relaxed atmosphere for photos! Since the wedding, we have been contacted to let us know the progress of how the photos are coming along which was very courteous and an added bonus. I would highly recommend this photographer for your event! We had a great day with them and can't wait to see the pictures!

I got engaged in September 2012 and was married in September 2013. After we had locked down our wedding date, I went online and researched several photographers as we were to be married in Rehoboth Beach.
My fiancé and I met with Sam on the same day after interviewing 2 other photographers, who were both lacking the professionalism I was looking for.
When we got to Sam's studio we were blown away. He had music playing, wedding photos displayed everywhere, and he literally sold us with his affordable wedding day packages and easy going attitude.
He was extremely responsive the months leading up to the wedding day - AND afterwards.
One piece of advice I received when choosing a photographer was on your wedding day you want someone who isn't going to cause added stress. Not only did Sam and his team take amazing pictures but we all had a lot of laughs together throughout the day and into the night.
He also had our wedding photos posted up on the website in a few weeks - the turnaround was awesome.
I couldn't recommend Sam Ellis more.

Sam is the best wedding photographer! I got married in Bethany Beach, Del and I live in NJ so I thought it would be difficult to work with someone that wasn't in my area since I went off referrals of people I didn't really know. As my wedding day approached I would exchange emails with Sam with all my questions and he was just so helpful and explained things to me that I didn't understand. On my wedding day you are pulled in a million directions and Sam just took charge and made sure everything was soo perfect! Some of his photos that day look like they belong in a magazine! I would recommend him a million times! I would use him for all our pictures if we lived closer. Thank you Sam!

We have nothing but great things to say about Sam from start to finish. I felt relaxed and comfortable the whole day and some of his best shots were the candid ones! We are so glad that we chose Sam to be our wedding photographer! Sam is an excellent photographer and a pleasure to work with. He helped us create a package that would work for our day and meet our needs. On the wedding day, we were incredibly happy with how organized, professional, and non-invasive Sam and his assistant were. They were very efficient with the family photos after the ceremony, and they were flexible about making last minute changes to the locations where we took wedding party photos. Sam is creative, flexible, easy-going, and fun to work with. We were very pleased with the photos and we love the album! I was very impressed with how quickly Sam sent us a preview of our photos, and the quality of the prints we received were excellent. There are so many wonderful things to share about Sam! Sam did our engagement photos, wedding photos, as well as the photo booth at our wedding. Brandon, Sam's second shooter did a phenomenal job! Sam was always available to answer any questions I had and always offered up suggestions. Sam always remained professional and it was clear that he loves photography. He was extremely flexible with weather changes and was available to do more pictures when our first shoot was cut short due to rain. My guests loved all of the pictures that were posted on his website. The pictures of our wedding were up upon our return from our honeymoon (only 9 days after the wedding!). My husband and I are super happy with all of our pictures and cannot wait to hang them on the walls to admire for years to come!

Originally, we were not going to budget for a photographer as our budget was very tight, but after talking to numerous people we decided it would be worth the expenditure. I found Sam online and set up a meeting. Before I found him, I had met with another photographer who was extremely unprofessional (refused to give references or sign a contract and more) and I was very wary. Sam was very kind and very professional and put me at ease at once. He was able to show me a good array of his work, which I was very impressed with. He takes beautiful pictures! He helped me put together a shot list for the formal portraits. We were only having him shoot the ceremony, so he did candids before and during as well as formal posed portraits. On the day of, he was great. My husband absolutely hates taking pictures and I was so surprised and happy to see that Sam was able to get such great shots of him. For the formal shots, he was quick and efficient and dealt with some pretty tired and grumpy people very well. When I saw the pictures (not too long after the wedding, he was quick!) they were incredible. I am so happy with the results and would definitely work with Sam Ellis in the future. Sam Ellis did an amazing job on our wedding photography. He was highly professional, very personable, and in my opinion the best wedding photographer at the beach. All of the photos are beautiful, and we have received numerous comments about how wonderful they turned out. Although BOTH of his assistants called out sick the day of the wedding, Sam Ellis pulled everything together and did an amazing job. we even took some shots out side, just beating the rain. Ellis also had a unique photo-station set up for the guests to put on silly hats, mustaches, etc. and it was a hit! I've known Sam Ellis for a long time and overall he is a great person, he did an amazing job for a great price.

Almost two years later and I am still obsessed with my wedding photos and the work of Sam Ellis Photography! Not only did they capture amazing shots, but were flexible with editing and super prompt with service. Very talented and would highly recommend!

I have nothing but great things to say about Sam. My wedding was a few weeks ago. Sam and his second shot, Brandon, did a fantastic job. Sam was extremely helpful months before the wedding and recommended vendors, many of which I used for the wedding. He was very professional and responsive any time I had a question throughout the planning process. He went above and beyond to get great shots of everyone and really capture the day. Not only is he a great photographer, but he is very friendly and easy to work with!

I was fortunate to have a wedding that surpassed my expectations and have been able to enjoy it again and again by looking at my wedding pictures. Sam was able to capture the essence of the ceremony and reception and the personalities of the wedding party and guest. He also provided some artistic shots of the items of the wedding, such as the rings, table favors, flowers, chocolate fountain and cake that were fantastic. Sam was patient and easy to work with, always available and responsive. So glad he was recommended.

Sam was so easy to work with and met with me face-to-face two times before the wedding day. He was able to work within my budget and gave me a preview of 20 pictures the morning after our wedding. I am so excited to see all the pictures!

I cannot say enough good things about working with Sam Ellis for our engagement and wedding day photography needs. He is a flexible, easy going guy and will go above and beyond to get amazing shots - roll in the sand, stand in the water - anything it takes to capture the moment perfectly! The portrait session between the ceremony and reception seemed to fly by - he got every shot we wanted and then tons more! In a very unobtrusive way he is able to capture wonderful candid moments. You almost forget he is there at times because he moves quickly between shots to capture every possible second of your special day. We picked the Lustre Book for our album and were so pleased with how it turned out. I have seen all of these pictures hundreds of times, but I never get sick of flipping through our album - it is so beautiful!!! We were so happy to have worked with Sam and hope we are able to work with him again on our future professional photography needs!

My husband and I chose Sam Ellis as our photographer at the recommendation of Dawn Horton at Salero and we are so happy that we did! Sam was a top notch professional and caught the most amazing moments of our wedding. The day went by so fast but Sam was able to capture both the very intimate moments and also fanatical fantastic dance floor shots. Sam was always very responsive to my many e-mails and worked with me to create a list of shots that I wanted to capture during the day.
Because he works so frequently with brides & grooms at Salero, I knew he was aware of all of the ins and outs of beach weddings and getting great shots at our venue. He also was able to convince Dawn to let us on the roof of Salero to get some amazing sunset shots - a first at that venue! Our pictures just posted on Sam's website and I cannot wait to actually get the physical photos in hand!
The photography was one of the most important elements of the day, and I wanted to make sure we got all moments documented. With Sam there was never a worry he would get it done. He did an excellent job and I would highly recommend him to anyone getting married in Delaware or anywhere he is willing to travel. He is relaxed, friendly and unobtrusive....We never felt like the paparazzi was on us all day - We just enjoyed the day and now we get to enjoy it all over again through our photos!
Thanks Sam for creating those concrete memories that we will cherish for a lifetime!

Sam photographed pur engagement pictures, driving around with us to several different locations and he has a great creative flair. He made sure he knew our likes and dislikes prior to taking the first picture. He and Brandon did a WONDERFUL job on our wedding as well. I gave Sam a LONG list of specific pictures I wanted taken at the wedding and the reception and he kept that list in his pocket the day of our wedding to make sure he captured them all! He posted pics by the next morning too!!! Our album is absolutely beautiful!!!(It was completed in no time!) We plan on getting our baby's pictures done on the beach next year and WILL be using Sam! Sam did an amazing job as our photographer for both our engagement session and our wedding day! He is extremely professional, yet he is artistic and can make you feel comfortable in any wedding day situation. We couldn't be more happy over the quality of his pictures! He was able to catch the special moments that no one else would have been able to. Plus, we still haven't seen a wedding album that is better than the one he put together for us!

Sam is great! He listens to what you want, and is very personable. He has a lot of experience, too. Having dabbled in photography myself, I know how tricky it can be to shoot photos on the beach. I would say he specializes in this setting, which means he can take great pictures anywhere. He is much more affordable than other photographers but not cheap because you are getting quality service and a quality product. He is also very quick to respond when you have a question and posts the pictures in no time. I know it doesn't always work out this way, but he posted our engagement shots as soon as he got home that night and our wedding preview was up within a week!

Sam Ellis Photography does amazing work. If you want your wedding depicted perfectly in pictures Sam is the way to go. He did a fabulous job on my wedding in 2009 and I cannot compliment him enough. Everyone who saw my pictures that they were so great. If he didn't specialize in weddings we would be using his services for all of our photography needs. I am so glad that I was able to find such a wonderful photography!!

Sam was WONDERFUL! One of my guests said it best..."Sam was everyplace without being anyplace at all." He was taking pictures all the time from everywhere he could possibly get to...yet he was not in the way and you didn't even know he was there. Brandon and Sam shot my wedding this past weekend at Salero Restaurante, and I cannot emphasize strongly enough how amazing these two were! Brandon was nothing less than professional, courteous, and accommodating. I can't believe he stayed until the very end of the evening, and I don't feel like there was a single shot that was missed. At one point Sam was practically buried in the sand at the oddest angle, just to get the perfect shot of my husband and I. I would absolutely reccommend Sam Ellis photography to any bride!

I was immediately impressed by Sam when I visited his website. He is an amazing artist. The skills, knowledge, love and passion he has for his art makes every detail of your wedding a lifelong memory. For all the stress and lack of sleep the final days before our wedding day, I knew if anything went according to plan it would be with Sam. Our wedding ceremony was on the beach. For 10 days before (thats when I started hounding the weather channel every hour for updates) it was supposed to be rainy and stormy. Well, let just say it was completely opposite. 90 and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. Yes, perfect and Sam captured every moment of it. Diving in the sand to catch the right moment. Switching from one shot to grab a split second shot just in time. I cannot wait to see the rest of our pictures. Not even 3 hours after our wedding was over, he sent me a message saying the preview was up on his website. I cannot express how grateful and pleased I am with Sam and his work. Please dont look any further, you have found your man, right here, with Sam Ellis!

Sam was my favorite vendor to work with throughout this whole wedding experience! He made me feel at ease during the engagment photo shoot, scoped out the church two weeks prior to the ceremony for photo sites, and was extremely helpful during the wedding day. Sam was so much fun to work with! We got the package that included engagement photos and we were thrilled with them. Neither one of us like to have our picture taken but Sam really made us feel at ease. We've only seen a preview of our wedding pictures but so far they're beautiful. Sam was wonderful to work with. He was very willing to meet with my husband and me on short notice since we were coming in from out of town. He met us at the door and answered all of our questions during the meeting. He followed up anytime i called to ask questions. When i saw the photos of the wedding they were so nice it was hard to decide which ones we wanted. My husband was also very comfortable around him and that says alot since he doesn't like to smile for cameras. The photos were great and the album him and his wife are putting together for us looks like its going to be beautiful. I'm really looking fwd to seeing the end result. They were also really good about working on the album with my likes and dislikes and giving us options. If i had to do the wedding all over again, i may not choose all my same vendors i used, but without a doubt, i would use sam over again.

Sam Ellis was really a pleasure to work with on our recent wedding. Sam took creative shots, both modern and traditional. Sam Ellis is AWESOME!!! From the moment that you meet him you will know that you have made the best choice. The first time Sam took our pictures was for an engagement sitting that was included with our package. He made taking pictures fun and we actually liked seeing ourselves in pictures. He provided us a CD of the images that we were able to use in our wedding. We could not wait to work with Sam again on the wedding day. He did not disappoint. He was prepared for all the formal shots that we wanted but the best part was that he captured all the other cool moments. We had so much fun on the beach! We never felt like he was in the way and he was always willing to be called out for a random picture with friends. Everyone at the reception commented on how amazing he was.

Sam was absolutely wonderful! He really took our preferences into consideration and captured our day beautifully! Our wedding was at Buena Vista in New Castle, DE which is a different setting to his usual beach scenery, but he did an amazing job, especially in capturing our love of trees and nature. Not only did he do an amazing job with our wedding photos, he was really nice and enjoyable to work with. I highly recommend Sam!

Now, this is just me and I am pretty needy at times. But I found it helpful to have revolving communication so that all bases are covered and needs met. Sometimes I would a heightened sense of stress if I didn't hear back from an email within two days. But that is just me! Not all people work like that. I had a great experience with you and your second photographer. You were flexible and tried to get shots that you know I would desire to have.

Sam was very in tune with what we wanted to get accomplished and how quickly we wanted to accomplish it. We took all of our pictures on our list and were still able to enjoy our reception as well. He met with us in person and discussed our wants/needs/likes/dislikes. The day of the wedding he was a shadow whose presence was barely noticeable, but his work gave us very special lasting memories.
