Great hair and makeup

I have thin hair and they where able to work with it. The make up was great! I didn't look shiny the whole night

Incredible

We got married 10/19/19 in the middle of a tropical storm. Katie and Sam did my makeup and my mothers. We both LOVED our experience and both ladies were so friendly. When I tell you my hair and makeup held up through BEACH PHOTOS in the storm, they really held up. Everyone was talking about how great my hair looked even after being windblown. I recommend them to anyone wanting a look that stays

Wonderful start to my wedding day!

Salon Aqua exceeding my expectations!! The location was perfect. Right across the street from Forsyth, so the girls and I could get pictures before the ceremony. The service was excellent. They always made sure my girls and I had everything we needed at all times. We were able to play the music we wanted to keep up the energy and dance while we were getting ready. The entire staff was so nice, friendly, and seemed to have just as much fun as we were. Highly recommend!

Better than I could have hoped!

From start to finish, my experience with Salon Aqua was awesome. I had a last-minute kind of appointment and a somewhat unusual, very specific request for an elopement hair/makeup style, but when I spoke with Angela on the phone, she was so friendly and ready to get me set up with what I needed. My stylist/artist was Jamie, and she was absolutely incredible. Not only was she fun and awesome to talk to, but she is SO talented and was able to put together the look I wanted and more. She asked me questions as we went to make sure it was what I wanted and actually removed the makeup in a few spots when she wanted to fix it - her care and precision and patience were remarkable. Like most of us, I don't often feel like I'm pretty, but I swear I looked amazing when she was done. She even asked to see photos after so she could see the final hair and makeup product with the dress. And they lasted the rest of the day - the lipstick didn't even smudge when we had wings after! The whole experience was all so personal and low-key and fun, and I love looking at photos and actually loving what I looked like after Jamie got done working her magic! I would absolutely recommend that ANYONE in Savannah needing a special occasion hair and makeup job go here. :)

Destination Wedding

Wedding Hair and Make Up. My wedding was a destination wedding and Angela and her team did a fantastic job. The prices are very competitive and the scheduling was on point. I scheduled a trial run a month in advance and we were able to narrow everything down prior to the big day. The ladies are all very talented and accommodating! Highly Recommend.

A Wonderful Experience

Working with Salon Aqua was a wonderful experience. The facility was clean and welcoming and the staff was very friendly. Parking was hard to find so they actually came outside and waved us down so that we wouldn't get lost! Our group included myself (the bride), my maid of honor, the flower girl (4 y/o) and my mother. We received hair services and makeup for myself and my maid of honor. The whole vibe was just truly laid back and comfortable. We were also extremely pleased with the results! My maid of honor has very short hair and it looks so elegant! My hair and makeup were stunning - I wish I could have it done that way every day! Check out the photos and, if you're getting married in Savannah, you should definitely book Salon Aqua!

Beautiful!

I wish I could have Katie do my hair and make up every day!! She, Jamie, and Joann did an amazing job with my hair and my bridesmaids’ hair! They had everything they needed and everyone’s hair turned out beautiful and lasted all day and night with no issues! Cassidy did a wonderful job on make up for the bridesmaids. Everyone looked like the best version of themselves! Katie did and excellent job on my makeup, I don’t often wear makeup and she did a great job of making me still feel like myself.

Working with Salon Aqua was stress free even though we were doing it at a distance. Joan did such a beautiful job on my mother, my sister, and my self. We were able to just tell her what we were thinking and show her a few pictures and she produced gorgeous hairstyles that fit our personalities. I highly recommend using Salon Aqua for your hairstyling needs.

Katie and Angela at Salon Aqua were amazing! They made me feel so special on my wedding day and were a blast to hang out with while I was getting ready. I eloped in Lafayette Square near by, and they even let me put my dress on after my hair and make up were done. Love them! If I lived in Savannah they would be my go to salon!

I'm from Kentucky and my dream was to get married on tybee island. Salon aqua did my hair and makeup and made me absolutely beautiful. The girls are super nice and will go out of their way to please you, I would recommend them to anyone!

My entire wedding party of 8 had updo' done by Katie, Cadence and Jasmine and they were fantastic! The timing was perfect, and everyone was gorgeous. They came to our hotel, which made the day very easy and flawless. I could not have been happier!!

Thanks Salon Aqua for making my daughter her bridesmaids and myself look so gorgeous. It was such a pleasant stress free experience thanks to the professional staff. All our needs where met beyond our expectations. Christine was right on top of anything we needed. Kimberly Padgett Newell did a fabulous job on the bride myself and flowergirl. My daughter (the bride) has never looked more beautiful her hair and make was incredible. I would (and have) highly recommend them for weddings, special occasions or just a haircut and color. My entire bridal party and myself got ready at Salon Aqua the day of my wedding and it went by perfectly! Kimberly did my hair and it couldn't have looked better! Katy did my makeup and it was amazing! Cadence and Jasmine were a couple of the other stylist doing hair and they also did such a great job on the bridesmaids and mothers. Each bridesmaid incorporated a braid in their hair (some with up-dos and some styled down). I couldn't have asked for my special day to go any better thanks to Salon Aqua!

This salon is awesome, can't recommend it highly enough. The process of booking, changing appointments, asking annoying questions and the trail then the wedding hair was just great from front to back. Everyone here is talented, professional and great to work with. I actually originally had my hair trial with someone who ended up moving but then Krysti was our new stylist and did an amazing job on my bridal hair, mother of the bride and 2 bridesmaids. I have wavy hair, had extensions in and she managed to accomplish giving me the style I wanted that held without frizzing or getting wavy in the heat and humidity. She styled it so as to hide any of the extension bonds and it kept all day and night. I also had a halo that she weaved beautifully through my hairstyle. Above and beyond.

The makeup artist was also fantastic. I have allergies to certain products so I brought my own and she did such a wonderful job using a mix of my products and hers. The only downside is that due to there being only one makeup artists, the wedding party goes one at a time rather than a few going at once.

I could not say enough good things about salon aqua. My bridesmaids and I all loved our hair and makeup. Working with them was a pleasure. A special thank you to Christine you helped plan the day of with me. I had to keep adjusting who wanted what done and she was was extremely flexible!

Salon Aqua did my hair, my mother's hair and updos for my TEN bridesmaids! I really wanted my bridesmaids to feel beautiful and they all looked flawless. There were 3 stylists to help with all of our hair and they had us done AHEAD of schedule. I couldn't believe it! Krysti made me feel so gorgeous and put me at ease throughout the entire process. She listened to everything I wanted and made my hair look better than I could have ever imagined. Salon Aqua was PERFECT to work with and handled our big crowd so easily.

The girls from Salon Aqua were amazing. My hair looked even better than my hair trial and I couldn't be happier. The make-up was also pure perfection. Before my wedding, I did two hair trials with Laura at Salon Aqua. She definitely listened to what I wanted and incorporated the small changes I had suggested to make sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it on my wedding day. All the women at Salon Aqua were so helpful and accommodating. Christine was great with coordinating our scheduling and managing changes and additions, and the ladies were even willing to open an hour earlier to accommodate our schedule! There were five of us getting hair and makeup done at the salon. All in all it was a really great experience and I would highly recommend them! Everyone loved my hair and complemented it, including my photographer who basically said, "wow, we need to get the name of whoever did your hair because it can be hard to find really good wedding hair stylists in Savannah." So, thanks Laura and thanks to everyone at Salon Aqua!

I had the pleasure of having Salon Aqua do my hair and makeup for my wedding in Savannah. My wedding was a destination wedding so planning was often difficult, however Salon Aqua made the process of planning a destination wedding very easy. They were quick to respond to any question or concerns I had. The girls from salon aqua came to the vacation rental house we were staying at to do my hair and makeup on site. My hair and makeup were flawless! Some of my bridesmaids also had their hair done and they each looked beautiful. I would highly recommend Salon Aqua for a wedding or for any event.

I am not someone who does her hair or makeup regularly. A bun is about as fancy as i get. The team at salon aqua really did a great job at doing everyone's hair and makeup. Everyone loved their hair and makeup and I got tons of complements. No one could figure out how they got my hair to curl (I have jet straight hair). Great experience and a great group of people to work with on your wedding day.

Katie and the rest of the team at Salon Aqua were wonderful and I highly recommend them. Katie worked with my very tight natural curls to create the look I wanted for my wedding. I was nervous going into my trial appointment that I would have to straighten my hair to achieve my wedding day style, but Katie put me at ease instantly. We even changed the style slightly on the wedding day and used a new accessory, and of course, Katie was very accommodating. Katie is a great personality and great at what she does. We used Salon Aqua for make up and hair styling for my daughter's wedding. They worked with us to ensure that there was enough time and staff to accommodate the women in the wedding party. The staff was punctual and brought everything they needed. They were all very professional and friendly and we enjoyed the entire session. We felt that successfully enhanced each woman's appearance rather than creating an artificial look. And we were especially impressed that both the make up and the hair stayed intact through the ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour and the reception. I highly recommend them for any bride in the Savannah area.

I had my hair and makeup done on a sunday. Christy was so sweet and did a lovely job. There is a sunday fee, but it worked out well and was fun. The salon itself is also so cute and near Forsyth Park, so pretty readily accessible.

Salon Aqua did such a good job on my hair and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding. They also brought in a makeup artist to do my airbrush makeup. She did a fabulous job as well. I would definitely recommend Salon Aqua to all future brides.

Kim, the owner of Salon Aqua styled my hair for an off site wedding. She made me feel beautiful and styled my hair in beach curls better than I could have imagined. My hair stayed in place the ENTIRE evening. She also did my makeup and it was flawless. I have never felt so beautiful in my life. My husband thought so too! I would highly recommend Kim, Salon Aqua and her entire team!

The staff at Salon Aqua was amazing. All of my girls hair and including mine were absolutly beautiful. Pricing was fairly resonable. Salon is in one of the old historical homes. Very pretty. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

They were awesome! They took great care of us and really listened to what I wanted. They even ordered lunch for us. I couldn't have asked for better service. They are a talented group of people. It was so easy and relaxed. We really had a great time and our hair and makeup looked amazing.

Such an amazing group of professionals. Maria is the most wonderful hairdresser, that really makes you feel like the prettiest bride around. Jess was a hip, sassy dressing vintage babe that rocks in the make up chair. My skin looked poreless without looking made up. I love this group! Please use them, theyre amazing!!!!

Salon Aqua was a perfect setting for the start of the wedding day. My bridesmaids and I arrived to mimosas in the cutest little salon set in a garden in Savannah, only two blocks from our bed and breakfast. All of the staff at the salon were soooo helpful and so GREAT with the up dos. All of the girls loved their hair, and I couldn't have asked for anything more suited to me. My hair was not very long, not even to my shoulders, but Marie made it look so beautiful. Christine did my make-up and it was perfect, not overdone, and stayed perfect the whole day and night. I highly recommend. :) Very, very happy.

I was the best girl for Heather's wedding on 9/10/11. I had never gotten my hair styled until the day before at another Savannah salon ( I was a total walk-in there) and the do I got was pretty pitiful. I have dry, curly, frizzy hair, and my do was dry and frizzy :( It barely lasted my walk back.

Heather the bride had a SHOCKING salon experience the day before, so Aqua was SUCH A RELIEF. First of all, it is GORGEOUS. Tucked under a sweet little house on a pretty street, the decor is clean and modern but without trying to conceal the bones of the house. (GREAT FOR PICTURES!)

As soon as I walked in, I felt like Heather was being surrounded by bridesmaids, that's how fun, personable, kind, and friendly the staff was. Also, when I walked in, I was nursing QUITE the little hangover. Julie got me an emergen-c and some water and I felt SO much better.

Heather's hair and makeup was so freaking great. She isn't one who generally fusses over that kind of stuff. She got an up-do with lots of braids, kinda off to one side...and it fit her personality PERFECTLY. Modern, but casual, with a Grecian influence. And that hairstyle stayed in for 15 hours solid.

I asked for a half-up pin-up girl do. Lucky for me, the stylist said that was her favorite era! She made this elaborate creation of curls and bouffants...way awesomer than I was expecting. She made my hair shiny and lustrous :)

When we were leaving, Julie walked us out and stood with us while we waited for our cab, and waved goodbye like she was our longtime friend!

Thank you, Aqua, for making my girl Heather feel like a million bucks!

Being from out of state, I was hesitant to use a salon I had never been to before so I put a lot of faith into Salon Aqua from the very beginning. Last minute I even requested make-up to be done and they were more than happy to handle that as well. The day of my wedding I showed up feeling very bad from a bit too much partying the night before and they did everything in their power to turn it around for me. They ordered lunch and even gave me an Emergen-C to help with my hangover (and even sent one with me for later). All the girls in my wedding party had the most beautiful hair and I received tons of comments on how perfect my hair looked! I would recommend the folks at Salon Aqua to any bride who wants to be spoiled and beautiful on her wedding day.

I highly recommend salon aqua; they were so nice and accommodating. I was a bad bride, I did not have my photo with me of what I wanted for my wedding day hairstyle but Maria made it happen- she gave me a beautiful look and my bridesmaids and mother looked gorgeous as well.

Maria at Salon Aqua did a PHENOMENAL job with my hair! I wanted a very particular vintage look, and I was afraid it would turn out disastrously. I have a ton of long, course, unmanageable hair, but Maria knew exactly what to do and made it look perfect.

I took my bridesmaids here the day of my wedding and they were fantastic. They provided muffins and mimosas, and closed down the salon so that we were their only clients. They were delightful to work with, reasonably priced, all of our hair styles were beautiful, and the curls stayed in all day. I would highly recommend them to other bridal parties.

I found Salon Aqua a year or so prior to my wedding and had always gotten my hair done my Maria, who is fabulous. I ended up using Salon Aqua for my wedding and they were great! Our hair was beautiful and our time there was fun and relaxing. If you want only the best this is the place to go.

I loved Salon Aqua, the building is beautiful, cozy and inviting. They are wonderful there and willing to work with a bride who changes her mind. They did a wonderful job and my hair looked great! I would have given a 5.0 but sadly my beautiful curls fell a little earlier then I would have liked but the wind was a bit of a bother that day. I loved working with them for my hair and make up-my make up was perfect and lasted all night long! Thank you so much!

This salon was wonderful. I found them online so I really didn't know what to expect. They accommodated my schedule (7:30 am) and were on time. My hair looked great and I got so many compliments. I would highly recommend Aqua Salon to anyone.

Kristy did an amazing job with my hair and makeup! She listened to my wants and made me look like a princess on my wedding day!! It was great having the salon to myself that Saturday so my photographer had free range. Overall, it was a great experience!!

Salon Aqua did a great job working with me through email to book my girls and I. I constantly had a change in how many people were going to be booked and Christine worked with me and was very patient with my difficult requests. We did have to get our hair done a bit early due to the manning of the salon and a week day. However, the stylists took our fine hair and excepted the challenge. I had a mock up done by my hair dresser at home and brought in pictures. My hair turned out better than I couldn't have imagined it would have. All my girls were in love with the magic that was done with their hair. Somehow, our hair even stayed in place for several hours and made it to the dancing part of the reception before going a little wonky. I was super happy!

I did a trial and day of hair and makeup with Salon Aqua for my wedding. I had a great experience with them. I was a bit nervous after the trial because I wasn't thrilled with how I looked--but I realized that's the point of a trial! It helped me determine what I didn't want. I was very happy with my wedding makeup and hair. My makeup for the wedding lasted until 4am still looking great with no touch ups except the lipstick right before the ceremony. I brought false lashes and they trimmed and applied them, which really made a difference and looked fantastic. The makeup and hair artist incorporated all of my feedback and requests and it was perfect.

I had my hair done with a side swept/half up look with lots of wave and curl. While it look pretty, it was falling down by the end of the day. She could have used better pins and more hair spray. For what I paid, I would have expected this to last the whole day

My beautician at Salon Aqua gave me a beautiful side updo, but it wasn't what I asked for. It was more pasted to my head, when I wanted it loose. I should have done a better job of looking at the progress as she was working. I didn't have time in the end for her to fix it. The makeup artist did a good job with my lashes, but I definitely overpaid for the final result.

Would not recommend.
It’s important on your wedding day to work with vendors that have integrity and provide great customer service. This was true for all of my vendors, besides Salon Aqua.
Long story short, the two mothers decided not to get blow outs (total $100), therefore, that allowed us time to upgrade 8 bridesmaids make up to full face and do eyelashes (a $400 upgrade from the initial agreement, which I was happy to pay).
They still charged me the $100 for the blowouts though. Even though I was paying more money and within the same timeframe that we agreed upon.
When I spoke to the manager after my wedding about this (because I didn’t want to deal with this on my wedding day so just paid and decided to deal with it later), they were super rude but agreed they would send me a check for $100 as a refund... which I’ve yet to receive.
Super shady and would not recommend.

Don’t book here

Appointment for hair and make up booked and confirmed for my wedding. Day of, I showed up. Salon was closed, no one answered the phone and I emailed them too. They ghosted me on my wedding day! . They never got back to me. Very bizarre and unprofessional.
