Sally was a delight to work with! We were drawn to her documentary style that captured candid *moments*. Her portfolio showed that she had a solid understanding of composition, texture, and light & shadow. Additionally, it was important to us to have an inclusive photographer who respected all identities and cultures.
From the very beginning, Sally was open and communicative, taking the time to understand our wedding day, offering timeline suggestions, answering questions, and getting to know us and our style. We had multiple experiences on our wedding day, including a tea ceremony and lion dance, so there were many moving parts, making for a full day.
On the day of our wedding, Sally and her assistant, Gael, were prompt and starting working right way. Sally was geared up with multiple cameras and a harness. She even brought accessories to stage items for detail photos (such a ring holder and ribbon!). Sally was familiar with our venue, Lake Morey Resort, and had a lot of ideas on where to take photos (despite the slightly rainy day!). Additionally, Sally and Gael were extremely patient with our relatives, all of whom acted as paparazzi. We were super impressed with the photos Sally captured, despite our relatives randomly jumping in to grab a photo on their phones! Sally and Gael were everywhere and oftentimes, we didn't even notice they were there to capture certain moments! They were truly professionals who kept up their energy and enthusiasm the entire day, and worked in harmony with our videographer and the venue coordinator.
Due to family request, our photos were a blend of candid shots and formal portraits. Sally balanced these perfectly, doing an excellent job with both styles of photography. We were impressed at how quickly we received sneak peeks. Photos from the entire day were delivered via an elegant USB flash drive.
Sally exceeded all of our expectations. Her photos captured real, candid moments, beautifully reflecting the joy of the day. We only wish we hired her for the entire weekend! -

Amazing!!!
Sally exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding photos! From our initial conversations through the wedding day, Sally was so organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in capturing our day.. The photos we’ve received so far are absolutely stunning and perfectly reflect the emotions, details, and joy of our celebration! Sally and Max made us feel comfortable in front of the camera, captured countless candid moments, and managed to be everywhere at once without ever being intrusive. We are so grateful to have these beautiful memories preserved and would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a talented and professional photographer! Sally also does this amazing idea where she brings a point-and-shoot camera to give to a younger guest to capture fun moments on the dance floor! -

Sally was absolutely fantastic to work with! She was really able to capture me and my wife at our best and gave us so many wonderful photos from our tiny elopement. The pictures were the best I’ve ever had done. So natural and they truly showed the story of our love and captured the emotion of the day perfectly. We will treasure these photos and memories and are so grateful for Sally’s expert experience and results. Together with Annie Kramer as the officiant, they were a wonderful team to work with, very lgbtq+ friendly and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone! Sally was absolutely wonderful to work with. She photographed our micro wedding at Saint Gaudens gardens and right from the start she helped us to select a package and services that worked best for our small event. On the day of the wedding, it poured rain, but Sally was incredible at finding sheltered places to take pictures, working with us, and just generally finding ways to work around the less than ideal conditions. The first pictures we have gotten back (the day after the wedding!) are absolutely amazing and exactly what we were hoping to get out of the day - some of them look straight out of a high end fashion magazine. I can’t recommend Sally highly enough! -

Sally is a true genius!
From our first glimpses of Sally’s portfolio, we knew this is who we wanted to capture our daughter and son-in-law’s special day. Talking to her just reinforced that choice. She knew we were looking for that balance of the posed and candids that everyone wants, but she raised the bar by her use of lighting and framing so our pictures seem like art. Looking at our sneak peek photos, I can say that she not only captured the emotions of the day, but our wedding looks like a fairy tale come to life. That she was so warm and easy to work with was a nice bonus. If you are looking for a photographer to entrust with capturing your wedding, you cannot do better than Sally. -

Excellent Photographer
Sally was a wonderful addition to our special day. Not only was she a fantastic photographer, she also assisted in recommending my reverend, florist and hair/makeup stylist. She was early to our special day to scout the area to find the best photography locations. She make my husband and I both feel comfortable during our elopement. She helped facilitate getting ready photos, first look photos, photography locations, etc. We got our sneak peak photos and they are absolutely stunning. I cannot wait to see more. -

From the start, Sally was professional and extremely helpful during all aspects of our wedding photography journey. Then when the big day came, she and her second photographer couldn't have been better. They came early to help capture before-ceremony photos and everything that is important to the two of you. She managed what I would call the wedding chaos. Helping round up people, keeping the wedding party's attention to get through all the shots, and most importantly with intimate couples shots she was flat-out amazing. She was so fun and helpful that we couldn't have asked for anyone better. Just amazing work and we couldn't be happier with the shots we received. -

Perfection
Sally went beyond expectation with our photos. Our wedding was perfect thanks to vendors like Sally. She delivered on exactly what we wanted. Our engagement shots and wedding shots were perfection. I’ve never felt more beautiful in my life and I feel like she did an amazing job capturing the day. I cried looking at all of the shots because they were so beautiful. We will cherish these photos forever. I’ve been part of other wedding before and I’ve never seen such amazing quality photos, especially of all the guests. If I could rate Sally more than five stars I would. -

We loved working with Sally! While we looked at several wedding photographers and their portfolios, I was most drawn to Sally's. I thought her work was gorgeous - so artistic, so good at capturing emotion, such a beautiful interplay of light and shadow - exactly what I was looking for. The photos were the thing I most wanted to get right, so we chose Sally as our photographer. I'm so glad we did: the photos came out PERFECT. They were even better than I had hoped. And she was lovely to work with - fun, energetic, and personable. She also had a really good read on our personalities, including our rapport with each member of our wedding party, and could even tell when my husband was ready to be done for the day. There are many great photographers out there who can take good pictures, but they will be infinitely better if your photographer can read you like that. I know ours were.
Highly, highly recommend. You will not regret your choice. -

An absolute godsend for those planning from out of town
Sally was amazing! We live across country and wanted to elope on vacation. I contacted Sally who helped put in touch with our officiant and videographer, too. She was super welcoming and great to work with and gave great suggestions for everything from where to stay and where to eat. The photos are fantastic and she let us choose between a more editorial style or airy style. All in all I could not recommend Sally enough! Her communication and professionalism skills are unparalleled and she helped put me at great ease. Our price reflects a joint package for photos + Annie to officiant as an elopement package deal. -

COVID hasn't been an easy on any aspect of life, but having Sally work with us on reducing the hours of photography for our micro wedding saved us a significant amount of money. She has also been very helpful when it comes to time of day and how the lighting will look in pictures. I'm so excited to see how our pictures come out! -

Planning any sort of wedding during a pandemic is extra stressful (even if it is an elopement/minimony!). Working with Sally, though, was stress free!!! After our first email exchanges, I knew Sally was perfect for our special day. She arrived early to capture some shots of the venue and florals. Her attention to detail is incredible and she made sure to work with us with any special request we had! We just received our photos, and we know we will be looking at these with happy memories for months and years to come! Sally has such a great soul and a creative eye. I loved being photographed by her, especially watching her visualizing the perfect picture, as we walked towards the next area. There were several stops for photographs, which was fine but all of the walking and moving, made my dress bunch up under my chest. I wouldve liked a little more attention to detail, as there were a few pictures where my dress was not on correctly, and my husband's suspenders were showing, and his vest was disheveled. Over all the experience was great, she deserves the five star ratings I gave, theres no doubt about that. Please give Sally a chance to take your dream wedding pictures❤ It was just me and my husband there, due to Covid-19, but her energy was more than enough to make us feel special and less alone. She provides you with several different color and styles of photographs, and is open to any suggestions. We couldnt have had a better photographer. Thank you, Sally for creating a beautiful and memorable elopement! -

There are simply no words to describe how phenomenal Sally was. We searched far and wide for a photographer who really understood what we wanted- nothing cheesy, just authentic pictures that captured our love. And boy did Sally do that! She stepped up without question when our original plans were thwarted due to COVID and drove 2 hours to capture our elopement. Sally and her second shooter Gale were nothing but amazing. These two work so well together. We hadn't met prior to our wedding weekend, however when we were introduced it felt so comfortable I had the utmost confidence. When they showed up on our wedding day they knew just what to do and which photos to get. Sally was able to envision the most beautiful photos and even took into account the shape of the trees to get the best photo! ---- If you have a choice for a photographer.... CHOOSE SALLY. Wow, Amazing, Perfect
Sally was prompt with initial inquiry, worked with me and our budget, and my vision for the day. She was flexible and so helpful every step of the way. She has TONS of experience with weddings, so she was so helpful with advice and what has worked well in the past. We communicated through out the entire planning process. Sally and her 2nd photographer, Gael were amazing day of. They were prompt with their arrival and started right away. They were friendly, professional, and we could tell that they truly enjoy the work that they’re doing. The finished product/photos were amazing, they truly captured our perfect day perfectly. -

Sally and Hayley were absolutely amazing. Before our wedding day Sally was quick to respond to emails and give feedback regarding the suggested timelines. She was also very helpful with suggested ideas. Sally and Hayley made us feel comfortable being in front of the camera, when usually we'd shy away. They were simply AMAZING. Within 24 hours we even got to see some sneak peeks, and we're stunned. I would 100% recommend Sally to anyone in the VT area. She captured our small farm wedding perfectly. -

Right off the bat, Sally impressed us. She has a gift at documenting special moments from unique perspectives; using light, shadows, reflections and other elements to breathe life into every picture.
We were fortunate to work with her for both our engagement session & wedding day. (Definitely use the same photographer for both, so you can build a great rapport - plus you'll feel so much more comfortable on your big day!) Sally is so easy to work with, even when you might feel awkward, not know how to stand or what exactly you should do with your hands, Trust her! Sally's guidance and creativity always pay off.
Our wedding photos are absolutely insane, mind blowing really. Each of her photos tell a story, allowing us to relive those emotions as if we're right back in that very moment (which is spectacular because the day truly goes by so fast!) We could thank Sally and Gael a million times and it still wouldn’t be enough. Worth every penny and more. -

A Perfect Day

Working with Sally has been one of the great experience I've had during wedding planning. She was very responsive and professional. She helped me throughout the photography planning. My wedding was not at all perfect since I planned it myself, but Sally and Gale captured it perfectly. She also withstand all of my weird requests and needs.
The images came in the mail in less than two weeks. That was a lot faster than what I expected. All came out perfect! My husband and I couldn't ask for a better photographer! Highly recommended! -

The plan was to have an intimate, simple, and fun wedding weekend, with a small group of family and friends. We had hoped that the photography would tell the story of a commitment and a community. The day of our wedding she was phenomenal. She brought tension and nervousness to ease and we knew from the first Camera shots that we hired a gem. Her character and confidence showed throughout the busy day and it was comforting to know we were going to get amazing pictures...
And we did, once we got the pictures we felt like we paid a million dollars for the wedding...
Sally and gael worked hard to make sure they got to every angle or spot to take the best shot.
Her confidence showed many times as she took control of people's ideas or thoughts, added her professional advice and either agreed or came up with something that she knew would be a better shot.
You need a photographer who isn't scared to show her knowledge and get you the best photo ideas. Sally did just that.
In fact on a bridge in Tyson VT, population 300 she stopped a couple Jeeping from CT on the bridge and used the Jeep as a candid shot.
You can't find candid, spontaneous photographer's like Sally and gael.
Our guests even noted how hard the photographers we're working to get the best angle. In video's you can even notice gael and Sally simultaneously moving together, hundred feet away from each other working to get numerous angles on the next best picture.
We hired Sally on a few references and her world wide resume speaks volumes.
Our pictures were amazing and we decided to send a special thank you to her with an additional tip. We felt like we got the deal of a lifetime! :)

Alicia Sent on 11/03/2017We received our thumb drive from our wedding a few weeks back and WOW!!! I love so many pictures. I am not a girl who likes photos and I rarely take a good photo. However, Sally managed to take so many that I love!
My Husband (still getting use to calling him that) and I were laughing because based on Sally's recommendation, we were trying to move our favorite photos to a separate folder. In the end, we had more in the favorites folder than the left behind file.
Sally, was very easy to work with, was very professional and help us have the laid-back wedding we hoped to have. I couldn't recommend her more! -
