We had the most magical Christmas Wedding at St. Luke’s Lutheran. Pastor Strasser is so welcoming, down to earth, compassionate and committed to making sure that not only your wedding goes well, but your marriage afterwards is healthy. We had several premarital sessions in his office that have helped us till this day.

The wedding day was incredible. The church was already decorated for Christmas. The Golden background at the pulpit looked stunning in all our photos. The stained glass depictions of the Gospels are beautiful. The church is big enough to fit over 200 ppl (we had a PreCOVID wedding). There is a piano at the front and the acoustics were beautifully resonant during the service.

There was ample space in the upstairs meeting room for us to hold a small post wedding cocktail reception. The entire experience was shockingly affordable for a location right next to Times Square.

My favorite part? Those front steps framing the classic gothic cathedral. Our most memorable pictures were taken there.

Long story short, you CANNOT go wrong getting married at this incredible location. My husband and I feel so blessed to have had this experience :)

We got married at St. Luke’s and it was a wonderful experience. The church was beautiful and Pastor Strasser was great to work with. The church is more affordable than others in the area and they were accommodating with the time of day we wanted to get married. They helped us plan the music and readings and we have the most beautiful memories of the ceremony.

When my husband Kurt and I started planning our special day we had only a few must haves....First and most importantly, that we exchanged our vows in a church and more specifically a Lutheran church. Secondly, that it was at a place that we felt comfortable, love, and by a pastor who would take the time to get to know us as a couple and would be understanding of our relationship and situation of an older couple getting married after both traveled this road before. Pastor Strasser checked all of these boxes for us and exceeded our expectations. He was amazing and performed a beautiful and intimate ceremony for us. As we are Floridians and wanted a “just us” destination wedding and chose NYC specifically Times Square because of our absolute love for the big apple as well as our love for Broadway. Yes, yes, yes...I highly recommend Pastor Strasser and Saint Luke’s Lutheran Church!❤️ Oh and did I mention it’s absolutely gorgeous inside and out? It is!!!❤️❤️

We got married in St Luke’s Church in August 2018. We picked St Luke’s because it’s a beautiful historical church, members of the church are extremely friendly and welcoming and more importantly Paster Strasser is an energetic, passionate person whom we knew would officiate our wedding perfectly! Also we scheduled to be married at St Luke’s with extreme short notice on a weekday but Pastor Strasser accommodated is nonetheless. We feel grateful til this day so thank you St Luke’s!!
