Made Our Day Perfect!

Can not recommend Ken Birks more! He is professional yet personal. He made the process extremely easy as he outlines the components of the ceremony with a plethra of options to select from or personalize yourself. His communication was thorough and timely. He put us at ease when we were nervous, had expert advise for the ceremony and went above and beyond. The ceremony was perfect and the highlight of our wedding day!

Ken was the officiant for my wedding. He did an amazing job, and was very courteous and professional throughout the entire experience. His process makes it easy to customize the ceremony to your specific taste by providing examples and templates that can suit anyone. He also has plenty of additional ceremony options for adding that special touch. Thanks again, Ken for making our experience easy and memorable.

Professional and caring

Originally we had hired a different officiant who then subsequently moved out of state so we had to find someone else. All I can say is, everything happens for a reason as I can't imagine our wedding without Ken having officiated. He was very kind, professional, and caring at our first meeting. We were so impressed that he took the time to meet with us and chat with us beforehand. He has so many options to choose from to make the ceremony truly one of a kind. And we love how he gave us a copy of our ceremony so we'll have that forever to look back on. Highly recommend Ken's services!

We reached out to Pastor Birks the week before(EEK!) our wedding, needing an officiant! He was so amazing in scheduling a meeting with us, despite our busy and unpredictable schedule, and was so easy to work with! He's got so many options for your ceremony, and he even gave us a booklet keepsake of our ceremony to keep! He was so so nice and we loved meeting him! So happy that we were able to use Pastor Birks for our wedding!

FYI, he does religious as well as non-religious weddings, and I'm sure he's amazing with both! Book him! You absolutely will not regret it!!

Ken was an excellent officiant! He was very helpful and flexible when working with us to create our ideal ceremony. He was punctual for our meetings and did a great job during the ceremony. He also took care of all the paperwork in a timely manner which was so helpful. We would highly recommend!

Easy to work with

Ken was easy to work with and gave us a ton of ideas and was very flexible with our vows. He gave us the idea of a wine box ceremony which was unique and we will cherish forever.

We were very lucky to have Ken as our wedding officiant. He is very professional, patient, and easy to work with. He provided helpful tips and suggestions during our initial meeting, and he put us at ease with how our ceremony would work. He is very punctual, communicates well via phone and email, and arrived exactly when he said he would for each meeting and for the big day. Ken's professionalism, relaxing demeanor, and positive energy made the ceremony feel personal and sincere. He promised a quick but heartfelt ceremony and he delivered! Our guests commented that they really enjoyed the ceremony because it didn't drag on like most weddings—credit goes to Ken for that! Lastly, Ken sent out the marriage license to the county clerk on time. It was an all-around perfect experience with Ken. We highly recommended him!

Ken was everything we could have hoped for! He had great options to write our ceremony in the 100% no -religious way we wanted. He didn’t pressure us into anything and was just there for us. He was super responsive, from the initial meeting to the last minute rehearsal plans to being there the day of. It was also great to have the marriage license business taken care of for us. Pastor Ken Birks was fantastic. We met with him a few weeks before our ceremony, explained what we wanted and the simple service we were planning, and he delivered on all counts. He was personable, easy to talk to, and had some wonderful ideas for our ceremony, including the "wine box and love letter" ceremony which was a perfect fit for our plans. He made our special day that much more special with the vows he helped prepare, his warm smile, and his professional demeanor and presence. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding officiant!

Ken Burks is a friend of my husband's family so it was an easy choice. From the get go, Ken was very pleasant and easy to talk to. He made sure he was veey thorough at explaining the process and all the details that go into a ceremony. He also made our ceremony very personal and fun! We are thrilled that we chose Pastor Birks to be our officiant! He was a pleasure to work with not only for the wedding, but also for our premarital counseling. We felt very comfortable with him and he provided a safe place to strengthen our relationship. So glad we opted to do the counseling too! In terms of the ceremony lay-out, he was very accommodating and flexible with any ideas we had. I liked that we were able to put our own touches on the wording, but I also liked the fact that he gave a wide variety of options for wording for the various sections of the ceremony. One of my favorite things about his service is that he puts the whole ceremony into a keepsake booklet so you can always reference it in the future. So special! Pastor Birks goes above and beyond what most officiants do. He attends the rehearsal and he even sends in the marriage license for you! We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant!

Ken went above and beyond to make sure my wife and I were prepared and stress free for the big day. Even after the ceremony was over, he was still available to answer our questions and guide our steps. It was a great pleasure to have him as our officiant.

Pastor Ken was a fantastic officiant! He provided us with many different phrase options for our ceremony and allowed us to pick whichever fit our situation best. He also suggested the sand ceremony for us which we really enjoyed. I highly recommend Pastor Ken since he is so flexible with religion and is there only to make your day the way you want it. Ken, what can I say, other than you are AWESOME!!! I knew the first time I spoke to you on the phone about my son and daughter -in- laws wedding, that you were the person they should choose. You did an amazing job, very heartfelt. You put so much feeling into the words you say. You helped to make their day complete!! Thank you so much for being there for them and for being so patient while the girls went over time on getting ready, Watching you walk with my son down the aisle, I can still picture that day and yes, it still brings tears to my eyes as I picture the two of you walking . Not only is Pastor Birks professional, organized and responsible but he's just a really likeable guy! He knows his trade, gives flexible view options, is responsive and punctual along the whole way and goes with the flow no matter what happens during your ceremony. Although he's always prepared, he can improv and cue if you forget anything; it's just a really great comfort having him there to guide you through the ceremony while you might be falling apart. Lol. He's truly a master of his trade and just a really good guy. :)

We found Ken Birks online as a reccommended minister for our ceremony. We were having our ceremony 2 hours away from where we lived and it was closer to Ken. He made it possible to facetime each other so we could meet and get to know one another, thoroughly went through all the details of what he provides, and sent us written documents to help us decide on a perfect ceremony for us. He is one of those men that remind you of your best friends dad. We had a wonderful ceremony and Ken even made us a keepsake to take home so we can remember every word.

Ken was absolutely fabulous. He was so accommodating, and helped make our wedding memorable, and intimate. We wanted the perfect balance of fun, mushy, funny, personal, and Ken did all of those things. He was so patient with us with all of our questions, and calmed our nerves about getting in front of everyone. I wish we could get married again so we could hang out with Ken.

Ken was very professional during the initial meeting in helping us decide what we wanted our wedding to be like. Second marriage for both of us with first marriages over forty years ago with both of us widowed. Ken's fees were reasonable and materials provided to us were heart warming and will allow us to review and relive our wedding day many time over in the future.

Working with Ken was the easiest part of our wedding planning. He understood right away that our style was a little unique and it was obvious that he was there for us and not pushing his own agenda. Ken did a great job. We felt like we knew him for a very long time even though we had only just met him. He was very professional. He was very easy to work with. He was very open to our ideas. He provided us with samples of vows and we were able to pick and choose what we wanted. I would definitely recommend him to other brides.

Let me just start by saying my husband and I both feel so thankful to have had Pastor Ken as our officiant.
A few things really stood out about him:
-He was very involved with helping us personalize our ceremony by answering any questions we have and provided us with samples from previous couples for a visual aid.
-He never rushed us when it came to making final decisions. His patience was astounding.
-When the microphone( the dj's responsiblity) kept cutting out during our ceremony, he did not hesititate to just put it down and avoid the distraction the mic could have caused.
Choose pastor Ken and you won't be disappointed.

Our wedding with Pastor Ken Birks could not have been better. We threw a few extra things in the ceremony (songs mainly) and he was so easy to work with. We selected the wording in our ceremony out of options he offers and everyone at the ceremony made comments about the excellent messages given by Pastor Birks. I would highly recommend this wedding officiant.

We are very happy with our decision to use Ken as our wedding officiant. We both were raised Catholic but opted not to have a church wedding. Together with Ken, we put together religious elements of our ceremony, but it was very much "us". We wanted to include our families and guests as much as possible. After meeting with Ken he emailed us a bunch of options for our ceremony. We chose the ones that we liked the best and were able to add our own elements into the mix which made our ceremony feel really special. He is very kind, professional and prompt with replies. He had another ceremony rehearsal scheduled on the day of our rehearsal and went out of his way to make sure he was able to attend both, which was really nice. The best part was he put a special booklet together with our whole ceremony and we got to keep it. We can always look back at our ceremony booklet when we want to remember our special day and our personal vows. We will gladly recommend him to any friends looking for a wedding officiant.

Pastor Ken Birks was absolutely awesome and we are so blessed that he was our wedding officiant! He was very accommodating to the different religious backgrounds my husband and I have and he made it such a beautiful ceremony. As most brides fear, I never had any concerns about Pastor Birks failure to appear. He was very dedicated to make the day as special as we had dreamed and I wouldn't change anything. Ken was very professional and gave us several options for our non-religious wedding ceremony. We were able to do most of our communications via email, which worked wonderfully since we work full time and have small children and can't always meet in person. He was available when we needed him and helped us every step of the way!

Ken was our officiant for our wedding and he did an amazing job! He was very friendly, personable, and made you feel at ease. He was quick to respond to any questions we had before meeting and always made time for us. We had asked for a slightly different type of ceremony in which my husband and I wrote letters to each as our vows and had Ken read them during the ceremony. During the reading, he paused at the right moments to allow for laughter from the audience (some of our vows were meant to be funny). He helped us with the flow of the ceremony to make sure it incorporated everything we wanted and gave us a keepsake of our ceremony script/booklet. We were very happy with his services and highly recommend him.

Pastor Ken Birks did a wonderful job officiating our outdoor wedding at a golf course in Sacramento. He is easy to work with, and my husband and I liked the range of vows he presented to us to choose from - From very religious, to not religious at all, to anything in between (my husband and I are not religious so we were looking for someone who would be accepting of that). Pastor Birks also helped us to incorporate some meaningful phrases of our own in the vows, and he attended our rehearsal which we really appreciated.
We would highly recommend Pastor Birks for any couple's wedding!

Ken was awesome! My husband and I don’t belong to a church and we really didn’t want the ceremony to be super traditional or very religious (although he does offer ceremonies like that too). Ken offered so many different versions of the vows, the words to be said during the exchanging or rings, and just words to be said through out the wedding that we were able to even edit them a little bit and make it our own. We also chose to do the sand ceremony. I would defiantly recommend Ken to my friends! Also it was very important to me that the officiate attended the rehearsal, and he did. (I guess most officiates just show up day of).

Just what we needed!

Ken was recommended to us by another officiant who was booked on our wedding day and we were not disappointed. Ken is responsive to emails and texts and is very professional. He was easy to work with and is very responsive to exactly what couples want on their wedding day. He was helpful and sent us a proof of our ceremony before the big day. He also printed a wedding ceremony booklet for us and printed our vows for us. Overall, a great experience, despite a few mistakes in our ceremony. He filed our marriage license promptly, and we are thankful for that!

Really liked the program that Ken has put together, provide a lot of input so it's very personalized. Ken was on time and quick to reply. My only gripe would be he pronounced our last name wrong when pronouncing us man and wife, everyone does in general so we should have clarified that prior to the wedding since it's now a running joke amongst our friends.

Really great to work with, gave us lots of ideas and options, and listened to exactly what we wanted. Helped create the perfect ceremony for us, and it was just perfect. He was easy to work with and very personable. Pastor Birks created a really nice booklet of our ceremony for us to keep, even had our engagement photo on the front cover. The ceremony was lovely and people really liked his natural, warm, easy going style.

Ken did a nice job as the officiant at our wedding. He was very helpful in our rehearsal making sure everyone was on the same page. Early in the process, he offers a book with an assortment of vows and other suggestions, which allowed us flexibility and provided options we hadn't previously considered. We would recommend Ken to those looking for an officiant.

He did great work he listened to our wishes only complaint I have is he needed to enunciate more because their was a portion where my husband and I couldn’t understand what he said when we had to repeat after him but we had a good laugh over it. I had gone through one officiant already, as they seem to be the hardest vendors to deal with if you don't personally know one. But I came across Ken's page just through a google search, seemed like a decent guy and a pastor at a church in Rocklin. My husband and I met up with him and got a real good feel from him and decided he was the one for us to get married by, he was open to us adding in certian ceremonies he had never done (rose ceremony) and also had some input himself on certian things he liked to say at weddings, which were nice, he didn't push the religious readings on us if we didn't want them, always returned my calls and emails. Seemed to be a good fit, once rehearsal came around he never showed. I called him and he stated that he had forgot as he wasn't feeling well and thought that the rehearsal was the next day. Unfortunetly he didn't make it to the rehearsal at all as it was too far of a drive for him, so when the wedding came around he had no idea what the flow was and was continually asking my husband what the plan was. He did great during the ceremony and we enjoyed his ceremony he wrote out, however the second the ceremony was over he rushed over to my husband and said "please get the wedding license so I can leave as soon as possible" to use this seemed rushed and unprofessional. We had just expiereneced the best moment of our lives and to have someone pushing us to rush so he could leave kind of upset us. All in all it was OK services. If I could recommend to anyone I would say to go with an officiant you know or have a friend ordaned as this seemed to be the hardest part for my wedding expiereneces.
