Great value and great person

Sarah was fantastic. She blended seamlessly with our guests and captured so many amazing moments.
Photos was one area I refused to skimp, but it was still cheaper to fly her cross-country and hire her than to hire a local. So terrific value for the price.
We were thrilled with all her photos, and she got all the special shots we requested. Clear communication and easy to work with.

Cannot recommend Sarah highly enough!!!

Sarah is a dream to work with! I came across some of her photos from a previous wedding at my venue and knew right away that this is who I would want with us on our wedding day. After our initial call, I felt so comfortable knowing that we would be in good hands. She put me immediately at ease and is such a lovely person. Day of the wedding, Sarah had such a reassuring presence and was much appreciated by our friends and family.

My husband and I are not the best at posing for pictures, so having the chance to do the couples shoot ahead of the wedding was very helpful for us. Plus we got an amazing picture to use for our save-the-date card!

Sarah has such an artistic eye and is able to capture the essence of the event, along with all of the traditional/standard portraits one would want. When I look through our wedding day pictures it feels like I am reliving it!

The best photographer we could have hoped for

One of the best pieces of advice we got when planning our wedding was to take the most care with who we chose to be our photographers. They are the ones that you spend most of the day with, and are also the ones that capture the fleeting moments that become the most important keepsakes from the wedding day. Sarah was unmistakably the best photographer we could have chosen. She and our second photographer Mira kept the day light amongst the chaos, caught the moments of joy and tears in between, and created moments we would never have thought to make. It’s those moments that ended up being our favorite photos (especially the ones she got on film). She made our rainy wedding day look like magic, and we couldn’t be more grateful. If she has the availability on your wedding day/rehearsal dinner/engagement party - whatever you want photographed - book her. It was the best thing we did.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Sarah. From the very first meeting taking our engagement photos in Central Park to the final gallery delivery of our wedding photos, they went above and beyond in every way. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera—something we were both a little nervous about—and managed to capture every candid and joyful moment of our day perfectly. The photos are timeless, vibrant, and full of life. We’ve received so many compliments from family and friends, and every time we look through them, we’re transported right back to that night. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Sarah. The photos from both our welcome party and wedding day exceeded our wildest dreams, but what made the experience unforgettable was her. Sarah is amazing!

Sarah has photographed many of our clients' weddings at Bryant Park Grill and always did a wonderful job! When I was planning my own engagement party, she was the first photographer I reached out to to check availability. Sarah was a joy to work with. On the day of our party, she made my fiancé and I feel at ease and very comfortable. The photos are fantastic! She blended perfectly into the background at our party yet still captured all the important moments and great candid images as well. Couldn't have been happier

There aren't enough words to describe how fabulous and talented Sarah and her team are! From the first call, her fun and open personality shined, as did her impressive portfolio. Stunning photos, incredible person

My husband and I are both so happy we chose Sarah as our wedding photographer. Not only is she is a wonderfully skilled photographer—she has a sixth sense for capturing unexpected, touching moments. For example, I want to get the photo she took of our flower girl skipping around the reception during golden hour framed just as badly as the ones she took of my husband and I exchanging our vows in the church. I'm equally obsessed with the documentary-style photos she took AND the way she conquered our formal shot list. She can do both: kindly direct a large bridal party through formal shots efficiently AND subtly capture those small and sweet moments—and so authentically. As a person, Sarah is so kind, helpful, and easygoing. It was a real pleasure to work with her (and with her second photographer, Senshi), and I really can't recommend her highly enough. Warm and wonderful!

Sarah was such a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her to capture any big moment. The Absolute Best

We absolutely loved working with Sarah. We first met her at a good friend's wedding and were so impressed with the way she handled the day and how the pictures came out that she was the only photographer we contacted after we got engaged. Sarah is so great at putting you at ease in front of the camera, it really felt like working with a friend. I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah when she worked my girlfriend's wedding and knew I needed her at mine. Sarah has this innate quality that immediately calms and sooths you, whilst bringing out your best. My husband and I LOVED our engagement shoot with her - and she took great care to reschedule 3x to ensure we got the perfect weather day. I told Sarah I don't know how to pose and she gave perfect instruction. She is *not* an editorial photographer, but damn, does she make you naturally glow and shine. It was an honour and a privilege to work with Sarah (and her darling team!) and we would do it a thousand times over. We definitely want her to shoot us in our first home too! Sarah was clear, concise, reasonable, respectful, fun, nurturing, confidence-boosting and just an overall enriching person to work with, could not imagine anyone better on your most important day. Guardian Angel and Photographer all in ONE!

Not only did Sarah take stunning photos of our wedding and engagement—she was truly THE GLUE that held everything together. With a short timeline between our engagement and wedding date, we were quickly in need of someone dependable and tremendously talented. A friend, a respected wedding planner, recommended Sarah, and from the moment I saw her beautiful portfolio, I was ecstatic she was available. Her warmth, humor, and positive energy won me over instantly, creating a real collaborative approach, exactly what we wanted.

Sarah's guidance was invaluable, especially as we planned in the midst of unfortunate challenges with my Dad's health. She became the supportive, organized, and caring presence I needed, acting like a guardian angel throughout the planning. She not only helped us find an incredible H+Mu team, floral designer, videographer, and day-of planner (on short notice) but also even helped me find my wedding shoes! Sarah's expert recommendations and guidance brought everything together magically.

Talented, kind, dependable and seriously the best of the best.

I only have kind words and praise for Sarah. She played such a huge role in making our wedding day absolutely perfect. We were originally booked with a different photographer, but they unfortunately had to cancel with just two months to go. We frantically searched online to find someone else and when we landed on Sarah, it felt like fate that she was still available for our day. We spent over 45 minutes on the phone with her during our intro call because it was just so easy to talk to her. On the day of our wedding, she came in ready to go, whipping out all kinds of emergency supplies in the bridal suite as needs came up, and easily made friends with our moms, sisters, and the HMU artists. When it came time for our first look and portrait shots, she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed and never pushed us to keep going when we started to get a little tired and hot. She was extremely respectful of our needs and really let us enjoy our day together without being overly stressed about the photos. The whole day felt like we were just hanging out with an old friend. And not only did she make us feel that way, but our entire family had such pleasant interactions with her as well. She is incredibly kind and personable and her warmth was felt by everyone. Her talent is also unbelievable. Sarah's photos are absolutely stunning. She did not miss a single moment, and truly delivered on getting posed shots that felt real and candids that captured the memories you want to hold onto forever. (And not to mention, she shot our entire wedding solo!) I told Sarah at the beginning that I was a huge fan of her black-and-white shots as well and she did not hold back at all. If you're a big fan of B&W she is seriously your gal! Every photo we got back feels like it should be in a magazine. She really does have such an amazing eye and an incredible, unique style. We have gotten so many compliments on the photos in the past few weeks from our family and friends and it's all thanks to Sarah. I cannot recommend her enough (seriously I could go on forever.) Best day ever

Choosing Ryon Lockhart Photography to be a part of our wedding was truly one of the easiest decisions we made. Ryon/lockhart’s photography work is breathtaking!

Wedding planning can be a bit stressful and overwhelming, especially when finding a photographer. I’m here to tell you first hand– there is no need to look any further. Sarah will capture your special day through the artistry that is her camera.

Living in NYC and having our wedding in Brooklyn, we KNEW we wanted a NY city photographer. That's about all we knew. When we saw Sarah’s work through her socials, we felt all the vibes. It was a match made in heaven and we had no idea just how flawless, classy, professional and stylish these photos would be!

WEDDING DAY
Sarah and Mira worked their magic all morning into the night. They were also really friendly and awesome people to work with. Your wedding day can go by fast, and there is a lot to think about (or not think about) that can escape you. Our pictures were the easiest thing about our wedding day. They took the lead and knew the territory for the best picture opps. No detail was left uncaptured, as they knew every inch of the venue and decor as well! They knew who the important people were and really worked the room, the people, and most importantly always circled back to us for more pictures as ideas came to them.

THE PICTURES
A simple WOW, JUST WOW is all that is needed to describe our final pictures. Seriously, we were left speechless and have had endless compliments from our family and guests about the composition. Without listing all the things that can be captured in a wedding, Sarah and team of course captures all that. But that’s merely the tip of her work. To me, the pictures told a story. There were many photos that you can literally put in a magazine, but it was the unique and stylish photos of us, the venues, and candids that we will cherish FOREVER. They captured all the moments and all the people from morning to midnight.

Sarah is an absolute gem. She immediately put us at ease on our intro phone call, and we loved our day with her taking the engagement shoot! Incredible!

For two people who do not love getting their pictures taken, Sarah brought so much comfort and patience to our engagement shoot and wedding day. I personally loved her bright, dynamic, playful yet professional style and was ready to book as soon as we spoke on the phone. Incredible talent!

Sarah and her team were incredible to work with and I cannot recommend them enough. Sarah was professional, kind, knowledgeable and so helpful during the planning process and day of. She was flexible when we wanted to add more coverage hours to our wedding day and was responsive throughout the entire lead up to our day, ensuring ongoing communication during the process and kindly answering my many questions. Sarah was a true gem.

Ryon:Lockhart photography captured our day beautifully - even when it rained! We ended up loving the photos in the rain the most. Sarah did such a beautiful job and we loved all of the photographs we received. She truly captured the emotions of the day in an artistic and unique way. We were looking for a photographer who could capture candid moments as well as formal photos and she succeeded at both. We had a tight time window between the ceremony and the reception to get formal family pics in, and they did it flawlessly! Best wedding planning decision we made!

Choosing Ryon/Lockhart Photography was truly one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process, and Sarah was an absolute joy to work with. We feel so lucky to have had her as our wedding photographer. From our first phone call, it felt like I was catching up with an old friend – Sarah is so down to earth, organized, professional, and thoughtful. We first had an engagement session with Sarah in Central Park, where she made us feel so at ease and comfortable in front of the camera. She really took her time with the session, was so flexible and made sure we got all the shots we wanted with in a variety of locations. The pictures turned out beautifully and we couldn’t be happier with them. Leading up to the wedding, Sarah was so helpful and responsive every time I reached out to bounce ideas off her, giving me advice for how to schedule the day, recommending other vendors, giving general wedding tips, etc. For our wedding day, Sarah and her assistant Mira arrived right on schedule and immediately got to work documenting the day. Beautiful Photos, Beautiful Person!

Sarah of Ryon Lockhart Photography is a dream to work with. She is as lovey as her work is beautiful! She and her assistant Mira captured so many special candid and posed moments throughout our wedding day—I've looked back at the digital album a million times since we received it several months ago. Every shot is just so good!

Sarah is so talented, kind, reliable, and organized. She's the type of calming presence you want on your wedding day. She was also flexible, as we changed our wedding date and engagement shoot date due to Covid. Leading up to our wedding, Sarah met us in NYC for an engagement shoot on a chilly October day and made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera (all while being far along in her pregnancy, though that definitely didn't slow her down!). On the big day, Sarah and her team arrived promptly and immediately got to work documenting. All along the process and still, Sarah has been so easy to get in touch with and so responsive. She was truly a joy to work with—and our family and friends thought so too. She's definitely someone you want as part of your wedding team!

Cannot recommend Sarah and her team enough!

My partner and I worked with Sarah to have her photograph our micro ceremony in April 2021 and then our weekend of wedding celebrations in June 2022.

We, like many others, are absolutely not comfortable in front of a camera, and Sarah could not have made the experience any easier or more enjoyable. We were laughing the whole time, not taking anything too seriously, and ended up having the BEST time with Sarah whenever she was around.

She helped put together a custom price/package for us since we were dealing with such a unique set of circumstances, and was also there to help guide us in making decisions around what to photograph, when she should be there and what types of photos were important to capture.

She was also incredible at managing every situation, including family, friends and a variety of different personalities. She knew exactly when my husband and I wanted to be left alone (and would help us escape!) but also captured the most incredible candid shots of all of our friends and family laughing and dancing together.

The only negative is that we dont have anything else we can hire Sarah to photograph for us, so we miss her!! Cant recommend Sarah and her team enough. She will make your entire experience fun and exciting, and will end up capturing the moments that make you look back on your wedding with the fondest memories.

Best decision we made!

Working with Sarah was one of the highlights of our wedding planning process. Hands down our favorite vendor. From the moment we met, my husband, Ben, and I felt like we were just hanging out with one of our friends. She made us so comfortable during our engagement shoot that instead of something we thought we would just get out of the way has become such a happy memory for us and was actually a lot of fun. Fast forward to our wedding, from the moment Sarah arrived she handled the day with a sense of calmness. She balanced family dynamics extremely well and made me feel so comfortable throughout the day. She captured our day perfectly and there are too many beautiful photos that it is hard (even for my mom who is very picky) to pick a favorite.

Aside from being a very talented photographer, no task was too small for Sarah who always made sure I was hydrated, happy, and even helped me change into my after party dress. I was so sad when it was time for her to leave for the evening, but I know we will cross paths again as I hope to have her capture more important milestones as our family grows over the years.

The very best!!!

We were so lucky that our wedding planner suggested Sarah! This was one of the most important decisions we made for our wedding and we could not be happier we did. Having Sarah around on the wedding day felt like another friend at the party - she is kindest, most positive, and fun person to have around. We are not used to being photographed but Sarah made us feel at ease and laid back (which is our style) and we could not be happier with how the photos turned out. We would without question recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer and look forward to working with her in the future!!

Sarah was an absolute gem to work with for our wedding. We had to postpone our wedding twice and she was so helpful and flexible with the date and venue changes. On the day of the wedding she was so great to have around! She is very sweet and professional. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sarah! Like so many couples who have left reviews, we are so grateful to have found Sarah to photograph our wedding - she is fun, kind, thoughtful, and incredibly talented. She made this process, from booking to engagement session to our wedding day so easy and joyful. On our wedding day, she arrived early and with so much excitement, it instantly made us at ease. You are with your photographer all day and honestly, having Sarah there was like hanging out with a friend (who happens to be amazing, thoughtful photographer).

I think Covid brings out the best or worst in people and truly I can say with Sarah, it showed just how amazing she is, not only as a vendor, but as a person. When weddings were getting cancelled left and right, it’s easy to put your needs first. But Sarah put us first - she was there was we needed to bounce ideas for new plans and entertained all of our new date proposals. Could not be happier!

Sarah was an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end. Her authentic enthusiasm, sense of humor, collaborative attitude and professional expertise made the planning process fun and Sarah was extremely generous with her guidance when asked, even recommending other vendors who she trusted.

By the time we were on-site it felt like a friend was taking our photos, even though we were meeting IRL for the first time. Even though my husband and I usually hate having our photos taken, she made the pre-ceremony photoshoot fun for us and, most importantly, we are THRILLED with the final shots! She captured all of the beautiful and hilarious moments that made the wedding truly feel like “us.”

With over 60,000 photos on my personal phone, choosing a wedding photographer was always a daunting process, as I wanted to make sure the photographer not only captured what I would have but also understood us as a couple and was able to read the room!

Sarah from Ryon / Lockhart exceeded our expectations! We bonded during our pre-wedding shoot and spent the time understanding our relationship, the type of wedding we were having and what was important to us. The Absolute Best

Our whole experience working with Sarah was so easy and wonderful and we couldn't have imagined how amazing our photos would come out. She captured exactly what we wanted - a mix of candid moments with beautiful portraits. We had wanted something super chic and romantic and a bit journalistic and that's exactly what we got. The mix of black and white and color is just so moody and romantic. She is an AMAZING value for her price. She was also so flexible to work with yet provided direction when we needed it during engagement photos.

Day of she was incredible. No stressing over timing or family shots or even the way in which we were positioned or moved. It made such an impact on setting the tone for the whole day. Her assistant also brought a separate camera and shot in film which we especially loved - they turned out unbelievably cool. She hadn't met our videographer until the day of and they were both so calm and casual and worked perfectly together. Do not underestimate the personal connection - you will be spending all day with your photographer and TBH we should have even booked more time!! We couldn't be more grateful.

Sarah is the best!!!

2020 was not an ideal year to be an engaged person. As if wedding planning isn't already stressful enough, adding onto it a worldwide pandemic could cause any couple to lose it. We were referred to Sarah through a friend and I already knew I loved her style from her gallery- I wanted very much a light, crisp look but also someone who could incorporate the perfect sunset lighting and knew how to take modern/city pictures. After speaking with Sarah over the phone, it re-instilled my desire to have her on our big day. Once we realized a June 2020 wedding wasn't realistic, we postponed until September...but go figure COVID and we worked with Sarah through another postponement. While we decided to move our big reception until Sept of 2021, we decided to safely get married in Sept of 2020 with our closest friends and family. Sarah was absolutely understanding during this stressful time. Each time we had to postpone and work with the venue on a new date- we had to realign all the vendors once again and Sarah worked with us through it all- even giving us advice outside of photography. We hired Sarah for our "microwedding" and I cannot tell you how many people have told us the pictures were stunning quality. We did our first looks at Gramercy Park, got married at a church in Chelsea and then did our indoor/outdoor celebration at a country club out in Long Island. Sarah was a team of one on this day and it amazes me how she was able to get all those pictures, from all the different angles. There wasn't a person on our list that she didn't cross off and we are beyond happy with how the pictures came out this year and we can't wait to be working with her again next year on our big "vow renewal" reception day.

Incredible person and photographer!

We worked with Sara for our engagement photos and wedding. Sara was incredibly responsive, professional, kind, and went above and beyond to ensure our photos were spectacular. My mom and I even had a few requests for editing some of our wedding photos, and Sara went out of her way to ensure our photos were perfect. The Absolute Best!!

I can say with 100% certainty hiring Ryon: Lockhart was the best decision I made and I literally feel like the luckiest bride that I got to work with Sarah! My wedding pictures are absolute perfection! I knew when planning my wedding picking the wedding photographer was going to be one of the biggest and hardest decision I had to make. Your wedding photographer is with you for a lot of time on your Wedding Day so it’s really important to choose someone you feel comfortable around because that person becomes part of your support system on that day. From the moment, I had my first phone call with Sarah I knew I wanted to work with her, because she it was so easy to talk to and she is so down to earth. Not only were my Husband and I soo impressed with Sarah but both of our families couldn’t stop talking about how amazing she was. On another note, I am also a 2020 bride which means my original wedding plans had to change and I was so fortunate to be working with vendors and like Ryon: Lockhart that understood the tough decision I was having to make and were so flexible with me while I was trying to navigate postponing my original wedding while also trying to plan a micro wedding. The Best Photographer!

Sarah and Tim were amazing from the first email to long after our wedding. Sarah is honestly the kindest person and listened to and executed on all of our wishes. We faced some difficulty with our wedding because my husband and I were supposed to be married in April 2020. Sarah and Tim were so gracious and easy to work with during the re-scheduling process. On the day of our micro wedding, Sarah was a joy to be around and so prepared and professional! And most importantly, our pictures were AMAZING!! She captured all of the love and laughter of the day, we were blown away when we received our gallery. I highly recommend Sarah and Tim, we were so glad we were able to have them photograph our wedding and cannot wait to work with them in the future!

Captured our intimate wedding perfectly - HIGHLY recommend!

We could not be more thankful for Sarah (of Ryon:Lockhart) and the memories that she captured of our intimate wedding this year. When we originally had to postpone our 200+ person July wedding, Sarah was incredibly understanding, and was flexible as we worked with our venue to find a new date in 2021; rescheduling her was likely the EASIEST part about having to postpone our wedding. Better yet, we reached out to Sarah about a month later because we decided to still get legally married on our original date, but in my parents backyard with only 14 guests. I knew Sarah would capture the day so perfectly, and we were ecstatic when she agreed to come shoot our small ceremony. She was so respectful (wore a mask the whole time!), so organized, and captured every moment (and more) than we could have ever imagined. We teared up when we received our images. Not to mention that she is so easy to talk to, so fun to be around, and makes you feel so comfortable (and not awkward!) in front of the camera because she focuses on capturing real, genuine/candid moments instead of all posed, highly filtered and forced images. We are forever thankful for her and we are so excited for her to capture our wedding #2 next year (whatever it ends up looking like!)

Absolutely the Best!

I've worked with many vendors over the years and as a pro, I can confirm Tim & Sarah are some of the best professional photographers out there. They were insanely detailed, their responses were timely, and they were organized before and on the wedding day. Our full plan couple had them photograph their wedding a few months back in Brooklyn and they blew me away. Their detail shots, the family groupings...nothing went unphotographed! You've found your photographer!

As a planner, I work with photographers at every single event, and often have a pleasant experience. But working with Sarah for the first time, I knew I had found a "gem", and a go-to photographer on my "team." She is everything you want in a photographer for your special day: cool, collective, real, relatable, flexible, fun and simply elevates the entire day with her positive energy and genuine personality. You spend the most amount of time with your photographer out of any other vendor on the day of, so you need to be able to be comfortable with your photographer. And I don't think you could be more at ease than with Sarah. She is also an advocate for you and your photos. Making sure you're having the best day while also getting your dream shots for life! Photography is one of the most important wedding investments because it is one of the few things that will help you capture the joy and last for a lifetime. You want to invest in yourself for your wedding, and for that, I can't recommend Sarah enough - you'll be over the moon. She is simply a wonderful human being!

Love Love Love Ryon Lockhart!!

My husband and I could not have chosen a better photographer for our wedding day than Ryon Lockhart Photography. To say way LOVE every single photo is an understatement. We first met Sarah over a few margaritas and chatted about how my husband and I met. We felt like we knew her forever and it was a no brainer to have her photograph our wedding. We were lucky enough to have both Sarah and her husband Tim spend the day with us on our wedding day. Their energy was incredible and we could not have felt more relaxed! I don’t love taking pictures and when I take them, I feel a bit awkward. Sarah was magic and made me feel completely at ease and relaxed while taking pictures. She knew exactly what to say and how to loosen us up. Not only did she capture the posed pictures that we wanted in front of NYC locations that truly meant a lot to us in our relationship, but she captured organic moments of us with our friends and family that truly translate how much fun we were having and how much love was in the room. We were so so lucky to have Sarah and Tim at our wedding and the incredible pictures to go along with it. We hope to hire Ryon Lockhart for any photos needed in the future!! Best decision we made!

Hiring Ryon:Lockhart was truly one of the best decisions we made among the countless number of decisions that go into planning
a wedding. Almost 6 months after our wedding, I still can't believe how unbelievably beautiful our photos came out. Sarah is not only incredibly talented but she is also such a pleasure to work with. Incredible Experience and Photography!

Sarah was an absolute joy to work with!! Words cannot describe how perfect she made the photo-experience! She photographed my engagement/proposal and went above and beyond our expectations! Photographing a surprise proposal is not the easiest request. However, Sarah provided important experience and insight into how we would pull it off. A week before the proposal she even walked through the proposal/photoshoot with me in-person and on-site!! My Fiance and I have never had our pictures taken professionally, so we were a little awkward. Sarah made us feel very comfortable and was reassuring throughout the entire experience. In the end, the photos came out perfectly and will be an everlasting memory of an excellent experience! Seriously, cannot recommend enough!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOK NOW!!

Sarah and Tim were SUCH joys to work with! One of the most important things I realized about hiring wedding vendors was how important it was to choose people you trusted as good people and connected with because they are surrounding you and your family during some of the most important moments of your life. From the moment I spoke with Sarah on the phone, it was clear that her kindness and genuineness matched up with the absolutely gorgeous photos I had seen on her website. Throughout the entire process, Sarah was always willing to offer suggestions on timeline and flow of events; she patiently talked through the smallest of details and was really responsive to answering any questions that arose. On the day of, she was timely, professional and able to effortlessly direct family to efficiently get through photos so we could party. So Thankful!!

I am so thankful that I hired Sarah for my wedding day. She not only made my husband feel comfortable in front of the camera, which has never happened before, but she kept me on a schedule and took charge when the family photos were making me and my husband fall behind. So that way I didn't have to be seen as a "demanding bride". When the photos came out, I was so emotional and felt like I was re-living every beautiful moment. The Best Bi-Coastal Photographers!

Sarah and Tim were a dream to work with! My husband and I got married in Yountville, CA but live in New York City. Our planner, Erin Vigil from Your Event by Erin, recommended them to us because they have experience in doing weddings on both coasts. We loved Sarah right off the bat, but because she and Tim are bi-coastal, we had the option to do our engagement shoot in New York so that we could get to know her before our wedding day. Sarah is very calm and collected and one of the nicest people you will meet, but when she needs to corral 15 family members together for a group photo, she has no trouble doing so. We loved our engagement photos, but were OBSESSED with our wedding photos. Sarah and Tim captured our aesthetic to perfection and we could not be happier with the finished product. Sarah even rushed a few family photos to me before the holidays so that I could give them to our parents as Christmas gifts!

Highly Recommend Ryon/Lockhart

It was such a wonderful experience working with Sarah and Tim. From the first phone call, I got an immediate sense of what a genuine and kind person Sarah is and how seriously she approaches capturing such a special event. My husband and I are not very comfortable being in the spotlight, but she and Tim put us at ease.

Sarah was also so helpful in putting together a timeline. We wanted to get in most of our formal shots before the ceremony. It was a lot to get done and could’ve been stressful, but they made it fun and worked so well with our friends and family.

It’s been such a joy going through our photos. From the more formal ones to the action shots on the dance floor...they all came out so beautiful! Best Photographers Ever!!!

Sarah and Tim are simply AMAZING! After booking the venue, Sarah and Tim were the very first vendor we booked and it was the easiest decision we made. From our initial ‘meeting’ with Sarah on Skype to finally seeing all of our gorgeous photos, it was such a flawless and enjoyable experience. My husband and I wanted to make sure the photographer we chose was someone who could capture our day as organically as possible and Sarah and Tim did just that. Actually they did more than that— they someone captured every special moment (both big and small) all while making us look like professional models.
Leading up to the wedding, Sarah was responsive and true to her deadlines, and her genuine kindness, compassion, understanding and laid back vibe instantly put us at ease during the stressful planning months.
On the day of the wedding they were incredibly fun to be around and made us feel very comfortable— at times we would not even realize they were there! Sarah and Tim were such a power team, working together seamlessly to ensure we got all the shots we wanted and then some. Their laid back, fun vibe was a pleasure to be around all day and they somehow managed to wrangle our giant (sometimes rowdy) wedding party together to get some truly incredible photos. I personally loved how Sarah was open to taking more out-of-the-box photos— which turned out to be some of my favorites. She also captured the little quiet moments throughout the day that were so special to us and something we will keep close to our hearts forever.

Overall, I could not have imaged a better team to be with on our wedding day. Sarah and Tim are really more than photographers. We felt we were in safe hands throughout the entire process and when we finally met, it was like having two friends there with you. Their endless talent and professionalism shines through, allowing you to relax and have the best day of your lives.

Words cannot express how in love we are with every single photo they captured from our wedding. Choosing Sarah and Tim to photograph our wedding was without a doubt the easiest and best decision we made for our day. They are both such wonderful and kind people and absolutely remarkable photographers. Not only do we have the most beautiful pictures to last a lifetime, it’s a connection that we look forward to continue in the future.

Incredibly talented photographers & wonderful people!

We can not say enough wonderful things about Sarah & Tim! There were absolutely wonderful from start to finish and we can’t get over how perfectly they captured the day and all the love, joy and happiness we were embraced with!

We were fortunate enough to have spent time with Sarah and Tim at our best friend’s wedding the previous year, where they were both the photographers! Having the chance to meet them, see them capture the day and develop such stunning photographs was such a cool experience and had us even more excited to work with them for our own wedding.

Everything leading up to the event with Sarah was so organized, fun and not stressful in the slightest! She was incredibly helpful in assisting us organize our timeline and structure the day to ensure we were able to capture all the pictures we wanted!

When the day came around, Sarah and Tim were just so perfect! They were fun, sweet, professional, respectful and had the perfect ability to keep a flexible and carefree environment while also ensuring our very loud, excited and energetic group stayed relatively on course for the day :) Sarah and Tim were terrific and captured all the pictures we were hoping for (which was no easy feat with some of the big group pictures)!

When we received the pictures, we were overwhelmed with how stunning and beautiful they were. They perfectly captured the light, love, emotions and happiness of the day. We spent hours going through the pictures and LOVE every single one! The quality was spectacular and the light and airiness to them perfectly matched the Jersey shore / winery theme of our wedding!

Gorgeous photos

We can not give enough praise to Ryon: Lockhart photography. From start to finish Sarah and Tim were extremely professional, helpful and pleasant. They find a perfect balance between casual and professional- and their photos are amazing! At the end of your day it’s your photographers that you see the most of on your wedding day and I was so pleased to have these two present to capture all of our special moments. Gorgeous wedding photos! Sarah and her husband do an amazing job of capturing the beauty of your wedding (scenery and people). We did our engagement photos in the city and our wedding at the beach and the photos are even better then I could have imagined. They can do any setup.
They are also such a pleasure to work with and make it easy! You spend a lot of time with your photographers on your wedding day so make sure you have a good repour. Photos also aren't your average cheesy photos either. Even my husband who doesn't love taking photos was so happy with how they turned out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

There are not enough good things we could say about Ryon:Lockhart Photography. We worked closely with Sarah from the very start and were impressed with her professionalism but also her casual and approachable vibe. She immediately understand the look we were going for with our photos and our laidback style and that's exactly what we received. On the day of our wedding, she showed up right on time and was just as pumped about our wedding as we were. The final images we received were amazing, literally exactly what we wanted. Sarah made us feel comfortable all day and was great at getting beautiful, natural and unstaged "posey" photos. Would definitely recommend Ryon:Lockhart for anyone in the market!

We can’t say enough great things about Sarah and Tim! They were recommended by close friends (one is a photographer), so we trusted we were in good hands. But, we were blown away by our engagement pictures. We first met Sarah 8 months before our wedding for our engagement shoot in Central Park. She made us feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera, and made the day so fun! She gave us our pictures in record time, and every single one was exceptional (it was next to impossible to pick just one favorite for our Save the Dates)!

On the day of the wedding, Sarah and Tim were both so great. They are an amazing team, and went above and beyond to ensure that they captured every single detail of our wedding day. We had a fusion wedding, which meant that Sarah and Tim had to work all day with barely a break to capture Hindu and Western ceremonies and one reception all in one day. They worked tirelessly and always with a smile on their faces. They were funny, extremely supportive, organized, and so lovely to work with. Sarah even helped me change into my third outfit for the reception! We are so lucky to work with such talented photographers who felt like family from the very beginning!

We hired Ryon:Lockhart for our wedding here in Los Angeles last fall based on the recommendation of friends who had also hired them (and loved them), and I cannot say enough amazing things! Sarah was our main contact throughout the entire process, and she made the whole process a joy. Not only was she responsive and true to her deadlines, but she was so genuinely nice and accommodating throughout and instantly put me at ease during the stressful planning months.

Sarah had lots of great ideas for our engagement session, and we ended up choosing Venice Beach and the Venice Canals based on her advice. We were so glad we did! She has such an eye for color and light, and her easy going nature makes the whole thing FUN. We had such a blast taking photos with her and knew our wedding would be more of the same.

On our wedding day, Sarah and Tim were such a power team, working together seamlessly to ensure we got all the shots we wanted and then some. They were calm and professional as they somehow wrangled our huge wedding party and families together, and we couldn't be happier with how all of the photos came out. At this point, I trusted Sarah so much I said "sure!" when she suggested we hike up the hillside (wedding dress, heels and all) to get the aerial vineyard shots I was hoping for. And she did not disappoint!!

I cannot recommend Ryon:Lockhart enough for your wedding photos ... or engagement photos, family photos... any photos! They are the real deal and you will be so happy you did!

Weddings are stressful, which is why it was such a joy to work with Sarah and Tim—the antidote to wedding stress. We talked to many different wedding photographers, but within minutes of meeting Sarah at a coffee shop we knew she was a pro who we wanted to capture our special day.

I really wanted to skip the “first look” shoot and have the ceremony be the first time I saw my bride in her wedding gown. Unfortunately, this meant that we had very little daylight to shoot photos after ceremony. Sarah and Tim handled my (I’m sure annoying!) request without breaking a sweat, keeping us moving at the right times without ever making us feel pressured or rushed.

Sarah and Tim kept the day running smoothly, but the proof is in the pudding, and I’m happy to report that their photographic eye matches their professionalism during the event. We were so happy with all of the special moments captured throughout the day. Their photos are beautifully composed and shot, without feeling forced, kitschy or overprocessed.

We highly recommend Ryon Lockhart for your wedding or other special event. Our wedding really would not have been the same without them.

Sarah is the best!! We live in NYC and upon finding Ryon Lockhart on Instagram when we were searching for a photographer for our engagement photos and after reaching out and talking to many photographers, we met her for coffee and felt like it was an old friend that we couldn’t wait to share this experience with! Our session was great and so comfortable but nothing compared to getting the photos back! They were stunning!! We immediately booked her for our wedding (which was in California)! By that time we were so comfortable and knew exactly what to expect and even then our wedding photos absolutely blew us away! One of my favorite moments of the day was sneaking away during cocktail hour just my husband and I and our photography team, it felt like such a fun hour with great friends vs just being with vendors hired for the day. Could not have imagined our wedding day without Sarah + Tim! From the initial meeting at a local coffee spot to finally taking a look at all the photos, it was such a flawless and enjoyable experience.

From the get go, my husband and I wanted a photographer who we just clicked with and a team that made every shot feel organic and not forced; Sarah + Tim were the perfect match. We searched out of the recommended photographers list from our venue in CT and went with Sarah + Tim through the recommendation of a former colleague. I was incredibly thrilled to hear that they would be willing to travel for our wedding to a venue over 2 hours from their home. That is the type of dedication and passion they have for what they do.

They were incredibly fun to be around on our wedding day and made us feel very comfortable throughout the entire time. I personally loved that they could also play along and go with the flow, taking a few out of the box type photos and even joining in and being in a few photos themselves. The emotions and little touches they captured throughout the day were so special and something we will keep close to our hearts as we look back on this day.

Our experience working with Ryon:Lockhart Photography for our August 2017 wedding in NYC was amazing!!! From the very first meeting, we knew they would be the perfect photographers to help capture our special day. Not only was their photography style candid, detailed and very pretty, but their friendliness, sincerity and genuine passion for their work spoke volumes to us as well. They were very easy to talk to, extremely accommodating, and always made us feel very comfortable throughout the process, from start to finish. My husband and I received a recommendation for Ryon Lockhart through our wedding planner, Kaci. Kaci had worked with them before and could recommend them highly enough for their relaxed demeanor, professionalism, and of course -- beautiful photography. When Patrick and I met Sarah over Skype, we knew we had found the photographers we wanted to work with. Sarah answered all of our questions, and proved to be chill and funny. Sarah & Tim were an absolute dream to work with! We felt comfortable from the first time we met with them. They are so warm and genuine. I was nervous about our engagement photos and being awkward but they made the day so fun and light and the pictures turned out great. Above all, they were amazing on our wedding day. From seamlessly (an covertly) jumping in to fix my dress when my strap broke to making sure all the important photos were taken by the end of the night, they were incredible. My whole wedding party kept raving about how awesome they were to work with. Beyond just photography they had an uncanny ability to keep things calm, relaxed and happy even when were time crunched/there were little issues that came up. Their calm, cool, professional and positive composure set the tone for the day and alleviated some potentially stressful moments. We love our wedding photos so much. Our experience with Sarah & Tim was flawless and enjoyable from start to finish! They were such a source of comfort and talent on our wedding day. They were super thorough beforehand, which allowed us to be totally relaxed during our photos! We shot our pictures outside, on a sunny 40 degree January day, in the West Village and they are incredible. Completely candid, natural and they captured every moment. Furthermore, every picture we requested, was taken. They did not miss one single combination of family members/friends. It was very obvious from our first meeting with S & T that they are true artists. They care about their work and genuinely want to document the best memories from your special event. We hired Sarah & Tim as our wedding photographers, and for our engagement shoot, after experiencing their work with our friends' wedding. We were in the process of selecting wedding vendors when our friends posted their photos and I had a "we need them!!" moment. Since then I've recommended them to all of our friends getting married. It's hard to pick the BEST part of working with them, but a few highlights include:
1. They are amazing people and so easy to work with. It was a pleasure having them involved in our wedding. After our engagement shoot, we just kept saying that we can't wait to hang out with them again (aka at our wedding). Now we just miss them...
2. Their work is incredible. They do an amazing job of capturing the moments as they happen. If you love natural light, hidden beauty, and those little candid moments-- these two are for you. I can't even tell you how many friends and family members have thanked us for the candid photos of them at our wedding. Not to mention all the beautiful pictures of us and our wedding party....
3. If you have a dog you'd like involved-- these two are excellent. Our dog, Waffles, loved them and was excited to put on a show for them and the camera :)

My (now) husband didn't initially understand the importance of meeting with potential photographers in person before hiring them. That all changed after our first consultation meeting with Sarah and Tim, the amazing duo behind Ryon:Lockhart Photography. Our intro meeting actually felt more like a double date with long time friends catching up after not seeing each other for a while. Needless to say, we were hooked and booked them immediately .

Working with Ryon:Lockhart was one of the easiest and best decision we made. In addition to being really responsive, professional, and taking beautiful photos, they made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera. I am in love with Sarah & Tim. Really the nicest people of all time. They shot our April 2017 wedding and we are so happy with our decision. As it's only about three weeks since our wedding, we don't have the pictures yet, but I have every confidence they've turned out beautifully. From the moment I met Sarah, I knew I wanted to hire her. She's extremely kind, easy going, and professional. She has a calming demeanor that's perfect in the frenzy of a wedding. Sarah and Tim also did our engagement photos and immediately put us at ease. We are not a couple who love taking pictures, but they were able to joke with us and make us forget we were doing it, and the icing on the cake was that we ended up loving the pictures. Also the packing the engagement photo drive was sent in was lovely. After the engagement session, Sarah would check in and if I had any questions she answered them promptly. She was always willing to help for whatever reason. As part of our wedding present, my sister-in-laws hired Sarah to shoot the rehearsal dinner and I was so happy to see here and so happy I'll get fantastic photos of that night too. On the day of the wedding, Sarah and Tim blended in but were there when we needed them and were again a calming and fun presence. Definitely one of the best decisions we made and I really recommend.

Let me just start by saying that having Sarah and Tim as photographers at our wedding was the best decision we made. Sarah is very easy to get along with and very professional. She is incredibly thoughtful and genuine, taking time to get to know us as a couple by speaking over the phone, via e-mails, and meeting in person prior to our wedding day. You should review the portfolio on their website - there you can see that Sarah specializes in candid photos, where you can feel the energy and happiness of the couples and their guests. As photographers, they are in no way obtrusive or obnoxious, never blocking anyone’s views or making anyone pose in unnatural ways. They are more like “flys on the wall”, snapping candids of you and your guests enjoying yourselves. On our wedding day, Sarah and Tim took beautiful pictures of our families and wedding party, but my favorite photos are of the reception. Fast forward to 2 months later when we received the link to the pictures... I could cry thinking about how beautiful they came out. I will seriously treasure them forever. Looking through them lets me relive our wedding over and over again. As the bride and groom you are so overwhelmed with trying to say hello to all of your guests, you unfortunately miss out on some of your own party. With these pictures, I no longer feel like I missed out. I am so incredibly happy with Sarah and Tim's work - they are the absolute BEST.

My husband Billy and I were fortunate enough to have Sarah and Tim photograph our wedding in Nashville this past August and we could not have been more delighted with the experience of working with them from start to finish. Their organization, attention to detail, and flexibility truly took any/all pressure off of us during our wedding planning and our wedding day. Sarah and Tim were very communicative through the entire process, which was incredibly helpful. They requested our input for a formal shot list (which turned out better than we'd ever imagined) and took countless incredible candids throughout the process of getting ready, the ceremony, cocktail hour, first dance, dinner, toasts, dancing ... everything. Tim and Sarah are the absolute best! We are beyond thankful for their talent and skills on our wedding day and engagement pictures. They definitely have a way of making you feel comfortable as well as beautiful and were able to capture the feelings and emotions of each moment and the overall feeling of the day, which quite honestly blew us away. Sarah and Tim will first capture your imagination when you see their lovelier than life photos but then will capture your hearts when you actually meet them. They are the kindest of couples and such a team. Tim was unable to photograph our April 2016 wedding, but Sarah and her associate Billye were there at McCormick Home Ranch to capture some of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. Because we were based in Japan, we first met Sarah and Tim over Skype, but Sarah made a point to meet up with us before the wedding day to get to know us. On the actual wedding day, her and Billye fit into our family so perfectly and managed to capture some of the most tender and intimate moments of our wedding day. They were both true professionals and now, when we look back at our wedding day, we know we have the most authentic and beautiful photos of our magical day. Their use of light, overall lovely energy, clear direction, professionalism, and skill shone throughout the day and later when our flash drive arrived and we had tons of pictures. This was one of the biggest investments we made on our wedding day and it was the most worthwhile as we will be enjoying these pictures for the rest of our lives.

From the moment we met Sarah and Tim (via Skype!) we knew they were the right photographers for us. We hit it off right away, from all the way across the country! They were in California at the time and my husband and I were in NY.

When we met them in person a few months later in person at our engagement photo session they were so laid back and made us feel at ease as they took hundreds of gorgeous photos.We could not get over our engagement pictures and how beautiful and flawless they turned out. It was such a fun afternoon with Sarah and Tim and it didn't feel posed or awkward at all.

As the months passed and our May 2016 wedding quickly approached, Sarah and I were in contact each week. She was quick to answer every email and put any wedding jitters at ease. Our wedding day was as hectic as everyone had warned us, but Sarah and Tim were there for every moment and every shot. From the thousands of photos to our gorgeous album, we could not be happier with how everything turned out. They were not only professional and talented, they were sweet and genuine. My husband I are blessed to have met them and hope to use them again in the future when we start a family. Sarah and Tim are simply the best!

Sarah and Tim were such a pleasure to work with! We met them at a coffee shop in the UWS and we hit it off from there! Sarah is super sweet and very responsive if you have any questions! We did our engagement shoot walking around the Lower East Side of NYC and it was a great time getting to know them and it was good to practice before the wedding! We received the photos on personally engraved USB drive and a lovely thank you note! I was with one of my bridesmaids when Sarah posted the blog of our photos, and she saw one of the glowing pictures, and it brought tears to her eyes. The best part is that they are not your typical wedding photographers that watermark all your photos, they trust that you will tag them for any photos you use on social media! During our wedding they made sure we got our list of photos we requested and were very focused on staying with the bride and groom while also catching candid shots of the guests. Sarah and Tim are amazing photographers and we were super happy with how the entire day went!

LOVE Tim and Sarah! It will be hard to put into words just how much it meant to have them by our side on our big day! The photographs are beyond beautiful. The portraits, ceremony and reception pictures, and details they captured are all artistic and beautifully shot. More importantly, Sarah and Tim captured so many small candid moments that could have easily been missed - a kiss on the hand, a kiss on the cheek, or a big belly laugh. They captured these little flashes that really bring out our personalities, and the energy, love, and excitement of the day. Looking back at our pictures, it really takes me back and lets me re-experience those little moments! Beyond having some beautiful memories that I will always cherish, Sarah and Tim were just a joy to have with us all day. Sarah helped me throughout the day, talked me through a lot of my stress, made me laugh, and helped me relax! Their personalities really put us at ease. By getting us to relax, they got some really natural photographs that capture our personalities. Thank you Tim and Sarah!!

This review is long overdue. On top of being generally fantastic and kind people, Sarah and Tim delivered on every promise for our wedding photos.
They were responsive. They were friendly. They were flexible when things were hectic and changes were made. And most importantly, they gave us countless heart-stopping images of our big day. They made it feel easy to be in front of the camera and the results were PHENOMENAL. The captured all the moments perfectly and we couldn't be any happier. I would recommend them to every single couple that is planning a wedding.

Sarah and Tim are absolutely the best wedding photographers! My brother (also a photographer) had used Ryon:Lockhart photography for his black tie wedding that was very classic and elegant, and everyone was completely blow away by them. They’re both super nice, professional, and personable, while also being able to keep everyone on schedule and politely respond to different guests’ wacky picture requests. My brothers wedding pictures were fantastic and he highly recommended Ryon:Lockhart photography when I began planning for my wedding. Our bohemian themed wedding had a very different style than my brother’s. We wanted fun and artistic pictures and lots of candid shots, and we knew that we also wanted Sarah and Tim to be the photographers. Once again, they did an exceptional job. We LOVE our unique wedding pictures and have received so many compliments from the guests and from the other vendors. Not only did they take the best wedding pictures that I have ever seen, but they are also competitively priced, they were excellent at communicating, and they gave us digital files of all the pictures - which is a MUST! (Most other photographers require that you order all prints through them and they’re astronomically expensive.) They were hands-down our favorite vendors and we would recommend them to anyone. We were extremely selective when it came to our photographers, and are so glad that we didn’t settle on anyone before coming across Sarah and Tim of Ryon:Lockhart Photography. We fell in love with how natural all of their photos are. We first met Sarah and Tim over Skype and we instantly clicked- you seriously cannot meet a nicer couple. They made us feel so relaxed in front of the camera- something that we did not believe could happen! We did an engagement shoot around Brooklyn and even on a crowded New York Saturday evening, the photos were still intimate and beautiful. Sarah and Tim were an absolute godsend on the day of the wedding. From the moment they arrived they helped us feel relaxed and organized. They never felt intrusive, yet captured every single moment. They went above and beyond the duty of wedding photographers and became our wedding planners on the day, when issues arose at the venue. When we received our wedding photos I could not believe how exquisite they were. Everyone who was at our wedding has said that the photographs captured the day exactly as they remembered it. As good as it gets is not enough to describe Tim and Sarah and their photography. As I was planning my wedding, I did a lot of online research for wedding vendors and fell in love with Ryon Lockhart Photography picture aesthetic. My fiancee at the time and I sat down with Tim and Sarah before we booked with them and were so pleasantly surprised. They are the warmest, caring, and real people. After the meeting, we immediately booked them. I did not know at the time what a wonderful decision we made. Tim and Sarah are so professional, reliable, and detail oriented both our wedding and engagement pictures were amazing! As part of the wedding package, they offer an engagement session so they get to know the bride and groom before the big day. That shoot was so comfortable and fun! They were so patient with our different venues and outfit changes and Sarah was so helpful in making outfit and accessory suggestions when asked.

Our wedding day was a dream and Tim and Sarah captured it perfectly! They were present for all the important moments but not ever in the way or a distraction. Having Sarah nearby was like having one of my girlfriends shoot our wedding. The pictures were so professional when we received them, you can tell how talented Tim and Sarah are and how well they work together to capture each moment.

We had some issues with the zip drive (it ended up being corrupted) sent from a company they use to no fault of Ryon Lockhart Photography. They were SO responsive and offered multiple fixes for the problem. They sent us a new zip drive right away and posted our pictures on an online gallery so that we could download them sooner.

We were so pleased with our photos and will cherish them for a lifetime and we can't wait to book them for a family shoot with our newborn! Thank you Tim and Sarah!!

Sarah and Tim are by far the most fun-loving, genuine, kind, and TALENTED photography couple in the world. From the moment we met them, we knew we just had to have them photograph our wedding. We did an engagement shoot with them before our wedding which put us at ease for the big day. They were happy to run with the day and go with the flow, ensuring that each photo "caught the light" perfectly. They were super communicative, informative, and always made sure we felt comfortable leading up to the day and on the day. I can't speak more highly of this duo - they are first-rate photographers with an extraordinary eye for just the right photo. Our photos were INCREDIBLE and I still receive comments from friends and family wanting to know who we used so they can tell their recently engaged friend about them! Sarah and Tim were the best wedding photographers a bride could have! Not only were they reliable and professional but they were also very personable and fun to have around. My (now) husband is not a big fan of getting his picture taken, but a few minutes into the shoot they made us so comfortable that we almost forgot we were being photographed. The pictures turned out not stiff but natural.

The finished product they sent us turned out beautiful! Sarah and Tim did a wonderful job of capturing the day. They took time to photograph all the little details that I loved about my wedding. The portraits were breathtaking. They really do have a magical eye and saw opportunities for photos that I would have walked right past. My favorite photos were all from the reception. I had so much fun looking through the photos. They took some great ones of my guests enjoying the day, captured moments that I didn't witness, and reminded me of some great moments I forgot about because of the blur of the day. After looking though the photos I felt like I was able to live the day all over again!

There was something special from the first time I met Tim and Sarah. We talked for a few hours and the whole time they were very professional but also personable. By our second meeting, I felt like we've been friends for many years and for me, that was one of the important deciding factors. Since we were going to spend all day with our photographers on our wedding day, it was very important to me that we got along so that we would have natural chemistry rather than feeling forced.

My husband and I truly loved working with Tim and Sarah and highly recommend them to any couple or family who are looking for two very talented photographers and just all-around-good people. They are a great team and complement each other beautifully. Whenever Sarah was capturing the main shots of us, Tim was in the background taking the candid shots and was so attentive to all the little details. I remembered during our engagement session, he had to fix my ring multiple times because it kept shifting and wasn't centered. They're also very flexible, accommodating, and responsive. From me changing our engagement session from LA to SF to the weather not cooperating with us, they were quick on their feet and made the best of the environment. Prior to our wedding day, they were great about checking in and reviewing our timeline and shot list. They provided sound feedback based on their past experience.

My husband and I are so impressed and so happy with all of our photos. They were able to capture all the important moments and the essence of our relationship so effortlessly. Looking through the photos makes me smile every time. We're so grateful to have worked with them. Their talent and passion shine through in their work and we will treasure these photos for the years to come.

Sarah & Tim are THE BEST. I met them as a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding they were shooting and loved their personalities... and when I saw their photos I was blown away. They have the most incredible knack for capturing the joy of an event, and the personalities of the bride and groom, in the most beautiful way. When I got engaged, they were the first vendors I called - I had to make sure they were free before cementing the date! I work for a wedding planner & I know a LOT of photographers I could've hired, but I wouldn't have wanted my wedding shot by anyone else. My husband is not generally comfortable in front of a camera, but Sarah & Tim made us both feel at ease, and the photos capture us both perfectly. We've had numerous people tell us that ours are some of the best engagement & wedding photos they've ever seen. Sarah & Tim are also really wonderful people, easy to get along with and very accessible during the planning process. They delivered everything we asked for, above our expectations, and they felt like old friends we would've invited to our wedding even if they hadn't been shooting it. :) I honestly can't recommend them highly enough.

Sarah and Tim were absolutely wonderful wedding photographers. We were recommended to use them by our friends who were recently married and they had nothing but high praise for these two. From the first time we sat down to talk to them, we could tell they were very professional and excited to work with us. Our engagement photos came our amazing and they made the process fun and enjoyable. They put in the time and effort to scout our wedding venues multiple times before to set up the best shots on our wedding day. When it comes to planning a wedding, there are so many decisions that need to be made. Some decisions were easier to make than others. Choosing a photographer was the first decision that my (now) husband and I made. For me, I didn't mind spending as much as it took to have a photographer that I liked - easy to get along with and had a portfolio that I loved. For my husband, he wanted to find a photographer who we connected with, but also had a fair price (he is much more budget-minded than I am...). We truly hit the jackpot with Sarah and Tim (Ryon:Lockhart). It was like love at first email! After meeting them once, we BOTH knew that they were the perfect fit for us. I realize now that not all wedding-related decisions were so easy to make. Ryon:Lockhart was the best wedding decision we made. I don't remember very much about the wedding day, but thanks to Sarah and Tim, I have photos to show me all of the things I didn't see and remind me of all of the things I loved about our special day! I would whole-heartedly advise anyone looking for a photographer for any event to contact Ryon:Lockhart. I'm pretty sure you'll fall in love with them the way my husband and I did!

Absolutely amazing photos. This is a husband and wife duo that are so much fun to work with that they bring the fun side out of you for your photos and they turn out amazing!! My now husband and I did our engagement shoot and wedding shoot with them and my sister also used them for their engagement shoot and wedding shoot and all pictures turned out perfectly, so much so that we had trouble choosing which ones to use since we loved them ALL. For our engagement shoot we wanted to try something different so we went kayaking in Newport Harbor and Sarah and Tim were all for trying it out to see what would happen with the photos. I didn't know if they would turn out since it was a little different but those are the photos that we ended up using most. I will continue to use this duo for anything we need photographed (children, parties etc). They were also very affordable!

We hired Ryon: Lockhart for our wedding in LA this July. We also did an engagement session- which conveniently took place in San Francisco, where we were living at the time! Our wedding planner sent us links to a few photographers to help us narrow it down when we first started planning the wedding. The moment we saw their work, we knew Sarah and Tim were the perfect photographers for us! We really appreciated the artistic perspective and genius use of light. We are not really a family who loves having pictures taken, but our time spent with Sarah and Tim was so relaxed and enjoyable that it didn't even feel like a "photo shoot". Our two-year-old daughter was included in both our engagement session and wedding photos of course and they handled her like pros! Sarah has an innate ability to find a beautiful backdrop in the most discrete places you would never notice.. and Tim, off to the side, captured some of our favorite images because we sort of forgot he was there and he caught us in such a natural state. The final product is hundreds of breathtaking photos to choose from. We are so happy we hired Ryon: Lockhart to capture the most important moments of our life.. the hardest part was narrowing our images down for the wedding album!

Sarah and Tim are absolutely amazing! They were recommended to us by our wedding videographer (who was also amazing and I'll be doing a review for him shortly) and I'm SO GLAD he recommended Ryon Lockhart to us.

We did our engagement photos with them earlier this year and the photos turned out wonderful. We were so happy with the quality of the photos. They had lots of great ideas for the shoot and they were also open to doing whatever we wanted to do on the shoot as well! They spent a lot of time with us and made sure to get us some amazing photos that we used for our Save the Dates and our wedding guest book! More importantly, these guys are just awesome to hang out with. They are a super sweet and fun couple which is really important because at your engagement shoot and on the wedding day you spent a lot of time with your photographers!

They were so great and helpful during the wedding (Sarah even had an extra bandaid for me when my shoes were hurting!) and they looked like they were genuinely having a really good time! It's obvious they're passionate about photography and they seem to really love shooting weddings. When its time for my husband and I to have little ones we'll totally go back to these guys for family photo shoots :)

If I could give a higher than five star rating, I would! Our experience with Ryon Lockhart photography was amazing and Sarah and Tim were the kindest, most professional and most wonderful photographers we could have imagined. When we started our wedding planning process, we always knew photography was a priority. We planned to book our photographer even before we settled on a venue. And now that our wedding is over and we have our wedding pictures in hand, we feel incredibly lucky and blessed to have had them at our wedding.

When I started my research, I must have looked at over 50 photographers. I was armed with a long list of photographers my friends had used for their wedding and I soon had "analysis paralysis". I took a step back to really determine what I valued for our potential wedding photos and what components I wanted captured and I soon realized that capturing people / expressions was incredibly important to me as well. With that in mind, I went back to searching for photographers and when I came across Ryon and Lockhart photography, I knew almost immediately that I wanted them to capture our wedding. Their photos showed people's faces and expressions with such authenticity and clarity and though their photos of scenery / details were beautiful, they highlighted people and how the day naturally proceeded.

It only took a few minutes after our Skype session for my now husband and I to agree that we wanted to hire Ryon Lockhart photography for our wedding. Sarah and Tim were down to earth, kind, accommodating, professional and funny and since my husband and I are both a bit camera shy, we were really glad that we felt comfortable around them. My husband and I originally did not want to take our engagement photos at all but changed our minds several weeks before our wedding. Because it was a last minute decision, we needed professional photographers who were able to 1) accommodate our schedule, 2) make us feel comfortable, 3)capture our love, and 4) fit into our style of photography. We love clean, classic, photos that don't seem fake or posed.

After contacting a few photographers, we knew we found THE ONE when we found Sarah and Tim from Ryon: Lockhart. They were able to deliver on everything we wanted and more! They are super sweet, extremely professional, and FUN! They are willing to do whatever it takes to get the shot and made sure that we were happy with our shots. My husband and I are so pleased that not only we changed our minds about taking our photos, but that we went with Tim and Sarah. I especially loved it when they delivered our photos in a cute wooden box with our names engraved on to a wooden USB. For me, little things like this goes a long way and their overall service and quality is priceless.

Sarah and Tim are the bomb. When my fiance (now wife) and I were looking, we wanted three things. 1. someone who made us feel comfortable 2. capturing color and light 3. capturing candid moments. We had no idea what to expect going into the big day.. our minds were just so overloaded with planning that it was refreshing to have Sarah and Tim that was calm and professional. I feel like I got a steal because once my wedding photos publish, their prices will have to up. haha. Lighting was perfect that day.... Anyways, as you can see, im extremely happy with them. Sara and Tim are a terrific husband and wife team who are not only great people but also excellent photographers. We are so happy with our wedding pictures from our August 2013 wedding, as well as our engagement photos.
The relaxed and easy going atmosphere of our photo session made even the least photogenic and uncomfortable-in-front-of-the-camera subjects look great! Our photo sessions felt more like we were just hanging out with Sara and Tim rather than posing for the camera.

As soon as my husband and I laid eyes on their work on the blog we knew we wanted Tim & Sarah to be with us on our special day. They first had us do a meet and greet where we all got a long so great! They came out to Maui to our destination wedding and we were so grateful to have them. Being in Maui everything felt so foreign with all the other vendors but having Tim and Sarah with us on our wedding day put us at ease. On the day of the ceremony, when they took pictures you hardly knew they were there. I felt like we didn't have to spend too much time taking pictures and when we received the final pictures you could see that they got hundreds of amazing shots of our most special day. They captured the magic of that day! Tim & Sarah are the sweetest, most down to earth people and a couple that's so in love so they get how much our wedding day and those pictures meant to us. I show my pictures to everyone and I feel like they were able to capture all the people and every detail that made our day so wonderful!
