Ruuben absolutely KILLED IT as our wedding DJ! The energy at our reception was incredible from start to finish, and that's 100% thanks to his talent and ability to read the room. He took our playlist - a mix of throwbacks, Latin music, rock, and everything in between - and seamlessly meshed it all together to keep everyone entertained and dancing the entire night.
He handled all of our special moments beautifully - our first dance, parent dances, and other memorable songs throughout the evening were executed perfectly and made such an impact. But what really blew us away was how packed the dance floor stayed ALL NIGHT LONG. Seriously, no one wanted to leave - our guests even danced straight through late-night food service because they couldn't tear themselves away!
Planning a destination wedding means trusting your vendors when you can't be there in person, and Ruuben gave us complete confidence. He's a true professional who is fantastic at what he does. Our advice to other couples: just be yourself, communicate your vision, and trust Ruuben to make it happen. From the first track we dropped, I could feel your crowd was ready. That mix you gave me had range, and that’s what made it so fun to build. Throwbacks into Latin into rock and back again. It never felt forced. It just flowed. And once the floor filled, it stayed that way.

DJ Ruuben had not only all our guests on the dance floor from 7:00pm until 1:00am, but the staff dancing as well! So many people came to us during and after the wedding to tell us how much fun they had. He was extremely easy to work with and reliable. Ruuben was such a pleasure to work with and truly captured all our wants and needs and executed perfectly. We had a wide array of music we wanted from disco to dubstep. Ruuben was the best DJ. The music, the vibes, everything!!! No one wanted to get off the dance floor. We partied til 2:30 am and it was the best night of my life. We had an excellent experience with our wedding DJ. Music was very important to me, and he followed our detailed playlist with precision. He also created a custom mix for my father daughter and first dance with husband exactly as requested, which made the moment especially meaningful.
He maintained great energy throughout the event, created a seamless flow, and ensured the atmosphere reflected my vision as the bride . His attentiveness and professionalism truly stood out and contributed to a memorable celebration. I would highly recommend his services.

We worked with DJ Ruuben for our wedding at the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba, and he was incredible from start to finish. Out of all our vendors, he was the most organized and easy to communicate with. His website made planning everything simple, from uploading playlists and must-play songs to adding our custom first dance mix from our instructor.
The dance floor was full all night. He played every song we wanted, mixed in crowd favorites, and created the perfect flow from romantic slow songs to the high-energy ones later in the night. Every time the energy dipped, he played Taylor Swift (a crowd favourite for us), and it worked every single time.
Our guests kept telling us how much fun the music was and how great the overall vibe felt. You could tell he really paid attention to the crowd and knew how to keep everyone engaged. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ who is professional, responsive, and genuinely cares about making the night unforgettable.Ruuben’s Professional Services's reply:

We chose DJ Ruben out of many Djs listed on a vendor list for our wedding. He was phenomenal. Its hard when your not from the island, and you basing all of your decisions off of reviews, and instagram posts. But Dj Ruuben is the real deal! From the zoom calls we had to his website it couldn't be any easier to plan using his platform. The website made things so easy! And he totally adapted to our style of music ( a lot of country) and mixed and mashed with Spanish, and rap. We loved every minute! We had the best time!!! We want to relive every single moment of this night!! He is the nicest, most professional! And wanted us to just love every single minute of it!! Ruuben was the absolute best part of our wedding! From our first meeting I had told Ruuben that all I wanted from our wedding was for people to be on the dance floor all night long, and that absolutely was the case! He picked up on the vibe from all of our guests and played songs that kept everyone singing and dancing all night long. We had a solid mix of ages in guests and he catered to all age groups, while honoring both my guests and my song requests, as well as our do not plays.
Our guests are still asking us who our wedding DJ was and are still raving about how much fun they had - which was our goal!
Communication was so easy and Ruuben was so transparent and meticulous with every detail ensuring in a PERFECT night!

We are so grateful we chose Ruuben to be the DJ for our wedding. He was professional from the moment we hired him and made everything clear and seamless. We did not have to worry about anything because he fully ran the show. His timing, his personality, his ability to read the room, and keep the party going was effortless.
His website allows each couple to curate their evening the way they want months before the wedding. He brings awesome custom lights, bubbles, fog machine, a pristine sound system, high energy, a big smile, and more.
Everyone at our wedding loved him. The dance floor was always packed and we had a blast! If he doesn’t have a song we requested on the his website, he will get it. We even had a list of songs we did not want played. He met us 2 days before the wedding to go over every detail. He even recommended a dance floor company we could rent from last minute. If you want people to dance and sing all night long, look no further than DJ Ruuben!
To start at the beginning, the experience DJ Ruuben has made part of destination wedding planning feel very easy! We had the chance to meet over video chat, and he explained everything I needed to complete, as well as his responsibilities to ensure our wedding day was the best.
Once you are confirmed and booked, he provides a portal for your wedding on his website. His website is professional, and it helped us organize how the music will flow throughout the wedding reception.
On the wedding day, we received nothing but compliments on how the music choices matched our style. Ruuben did listen and make our music choices blend, making the reception so much fun and feel like it represented us as a couple.
His setup allows for custom light-up designs that can be on the dance floor - his website walks you through how to go about getting it created! You will need to bring the custom gobos with you. It made us so happy since we customized it with our pomeranian! It was such a nice touch that everyone loved.
I would honestly recommend him over and over again! It was a fantastic experience that felt both professional and comfortable.
Sidenote: We both love Disney! So Ruuben gave us the perfect amount of Disney music as we discussed. Everyone said it was truly magical. :)Ruuben’s Professional Services's reply:

The best wedding dj
Ruuben was an absolute dream to work with! Our wedding DJ was my husband's top priority so we did lots of research on Aruba's best. After reading the 100+ positive reviews of Ruuben and hearing glowing reviews from our photographer about him, we knew we had to book with him. He made the planning process a breeze with his very organized planning portal. I especially appreciated him paying close attention our timeline as it kept our whole wedding reception on time and moving along. Ruuben was absolutely excellent to work with for our destination wedding and we can’t recommend him enough. His online portal made selecting songs and planning the events of the evening very easy, yet he still made time to have multiple calls with us up until the day of the event to answer questions. The music was great and the party was amazing thanks to Ruuben’s DJ-ing. No one sat down - our guests of all ages did not leave the dance floor the entire night! Several have told us that it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and that is without a doubt thanks to Ruuben. He even made us an Instagram reel of everyone dancing afterward, which we loved, and have watched many times as we were reliving the evening afterwards. He set up a pre-wedding meeting to get to know us and provided information on his services. He was so responsive to emails, and his website for planning our event with any special requests was so easy to use. It's clear he has worked with our venue countless times and that put us at such ease because he had the schedule of events, setup and timeline of the day down already. Island Party!
Ruuben was our DJ at our private island wedding at the Renaissance in Aruba. He was extremely flexible and followed our requests. We gave him some song recommendations which he used but he also filled in the rest of the night with music that fit perfectly and kept people on the dance floor! Even the wait staff loved his music. We loved the addition of the bubble machine - made for some great photos. He even let my dad “scratch the discs” which was awesome! Lastly he took a bunch of videos at our reception that he has shared on social media that we have enjoyed watching and relieving our special day! Hiring Ruuben for our wedding was one of the best choices we made! My husband and I got married this past November in Aruba, and Ruuben made the night absolutely unforgettable.

From the first song to the final dance, Ruuben curated a playlist that kept everyone dancing ALL NIGHT. I'm not exaggerating when I say our guests didn't sit for a single song. We had both Spanish speaking and American guests and we expressed to him that we wanted lots of variety. Ruuben knew exactly what songs to play to cater to every single person and musical taste. His versatility and willingness to cater to our tastes truly made the evening feel personalized and special. From old-school classics, to Spanish music, house music, the latest hits, and more, he really had it all. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the variety and how the music was spot-on for every moment.
Not only is Ruuben well-versed in music, but he is an incredible MC! He was on top of everything and was one of the main reasons the night went so smoothly. He knew all the cues and how to keep the party going.

SO glad we hired DJ Ruuben for our weddings after party on Renaissance Private Island!! He has an awesome system where you can input your song choices, do not play songs, etc all prior to the big day. When deciding to have a destination wedding all the nerves of what to do set in. It’s in a different country, how am I supposed to decide on things without being there? I will say finding and hiring Ruuben was the best decision I made! I saw his great reviews and followed him on social media and decided to send him a message! He responded immediately and he was so welcoming and informative from the beginning. It was a no brainer I had to hire him. He wasn’t only just a photographer, he was so much more. He eased my mind with all of my planning and I knew my pictures would come out beautifully. He was so helpful at my first meeting at our resort and pretty much led the conversation since I was completely clueless. The day of he stayed in communication with me the entire time and he was so easy and fun to be around. We had a family issue come up during the ceremony and he made sure we got the pictures we wanted after the fact, even if he had to stay late! Well once I saw the photos I was blown away once again. We gave DJ Ruuben free rein to do as he pleased during our reception and he DELIVERED!! He was amazing!! All our guests had a blast and everyone was on the dance floor the entire night (except when we were dancing in the ocean)! When you book him, he provides a link to an app, where you fill out your wedding timeline and all your songs for the wedding (first dance, father/daughter dance, last dance, etc). When we decided to embark on a destination wedding we knew there would be some obstacles we would have to face. For example, we would need to trust the wedding planners recommendations on DJ's, Photographers, Videographers etc before physically meeting them. Everyone knows the 3 key factors to a great wedding is the food, the alcohol, and the music. The music is what makes or breaks your party hands down. My priority was partying all night and having everyone on the dance floor enjoying themselves. Also, being a professional dancer myself I knew the music was of the utmost importance and literally chose a wedding dress I knew I could dance in. DJ Ruuben was first on the list of my wedding planners recommendations so naturally I looked him up first. His profiles on both wedding wire and instagram were very professional and up to date. I knew just from the consistent content Ruuben took his business very seriously and was always striving to make each party better than the next. That alone spoke volumes to me. Then we had a zoom interview and in person meeting when we went down to taste food and I had great vibes from Ruuben right away. Months go by I curated playlists for specific times throughout the night and Ruubens portal he uses was everything I could've asked for. It was organized and easy to use to enter all my special songs, notes, playlists etc. Day of, he's professional as always and ready to go. The set up of his equipment was clean and professional and he kept my guests dancing ALL NIGHT. I knew I would be dancing all night but when my guests literally did not even know cake was served because they were too busy dancing I knew we nailed it. My 76 year old grandmother would not stop dancing. I was told the following days after our wedding, "That was the best wedding ever," "We've never danced that much in our lives," "That was the best DJ," "He played the best music," "This was the funnest wedding I've ever been too." If that is not enough to convince you to book Ruuben right now then keep scrolling and to each his own. There are not enough words to describe how amazing Ruuben was!! First off, he showed up to our initial meeting wearing a Mickey Mouse t-shirt, which made me so happy! My father, Mickey, passed away 3 years ago and this felt like a sign. We asked him to wear his best Mickey t-shirt to the wedding and he delivered! The music was FANTASTIC! He made the most epic playlist that fit our recommendations and taste perfectly. He even helped us with karaoke night, a few of our guests ended up singing and it was such a blast. He worked with me before on song choices and transitions; he also had a portal for guests to request songs the portal, (also an area for us to put do not play songs which I loved)... he had suggestions along with flexibility for late-minute additions. Dj Rubben even sent us a recap playlist to listen to for years to come. and for those worried about not getting enough social media content... he had so many great posts for me to share. We could not recommend Ruuben more. Ruuben is a fun, gregarious professional. Our guests enjoyed requesting songs via Ruuben’s online system and it was easy to place requested songs into categories for the evening (cocktail hour, dinner, dancing etc). He absolutely catered the evening to what we wanted and our guests had the best time. He even went above and beyond to make sure the sound and microphone situation were what we needed as we had a singer at both the ceremony location and the reception. Prior to the wedding, the best part about Ruuben was that he wasn't difficult to get in touch with. If we reached out with any questions or concerns, he was quick to get back to us. We finally got to meet Ruuben in person a few days before the wedding and we instantly clicked with him. He has a larger than life personality and is also one of the sweetest people you could meet. We went through every minute that he would be playing music to make sure that it would be perfect. He provided his recommendations based off of his insane amount of experience to help us make better decisions.
Now, the day of the wedding. Everything went perfectly smooth. He did exactly what we had planned and we didn't expect anything less; this guy knows what he is doing. But you may feel like anyone can play music right? You probably also have a playlist that you've been curating with songs you want played at your cocktail hour and reception, because this is going to be the biggest day of your life. Well, that's where Ruuben stands out. This man wasn't just playing music... He was dancing. He was singing. He was a part of our party and we loved every second of it! How can you not have fun when the DJ is also having the time of his life?!

DJ Ruuben may actually be one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. He takes the time to get to know his clients and make them feel like family. He would send us texts for holidays and birthdays leading up to our event which showed us how much he cared and made us so excited for our day. Prior to the wedding, he gave us a website where we could manage all of our wedding requests. One of the coolest features is that he gives you a link to send to guests so they can request songs. Our friends and families had so much fun picking and choosing songs. This is amazing because then there is no one going up to the DJ for requests, therefore, I was able to manage my guests’ requests prior to the wedding. This created a wedding atmosphere that my husband and I planned. He creates the best seamless song transitions I have ever heard in my life, this honestly made the party. I cannot recommend DJ Ruuben enough.

Ruuben was amazing to work with from beginning to end! One of the things I was most grateful for was his attention to detail. For our reception entrance I had a specific spot in a song that I wanted to come out to and Ruuben nailed it! I was so happy that he went out of his way to figure out the timing to make it all happen. He was professional and fun and I could not of been happier with his services.
