This was the best night of my life. We chose to get married at the Rustic Ridge View Farm with Wally’s help in October and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to go. During the day, you get the magical views from the mountain side and at night you get to see the pavilion lit up with all of the lights and decorations. Truly a one of a kind experience. One of the best additions to the place is the fire pit for s’mores which Wally gladly takes care of. He’s very responsive and helps with anything you may need. If I could do it over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get married. -

We were looking for an outdoor event space that was beautiful, flexible with our vision, available for more than a few hours so we did not feel rushed on our special day and boy did Wally and RRV deliver! Wally is such a joy and easy to work with-- he was very attentive from the moment we first reached out to tour the property through the conclusion of the wedding. His staff made the day go smoothly and the property was stunning-- we did minimal decorating as the venue spoke for itself. 1000% recommend! -

We would do our wedding at Rustic Ridge View Farm over and over again!
We had our wedding at Rustic Ridge View Farm on 10/7/2023. It was beautiful! Wally was great to work with and obviously so informative about logistics. He worked great with all of our vendors. We chose this venue because of the beautiful views on the hill where our ceremony was supposed to be, but unfortunately, it rained. However, as everyone always says, it still always works out! We winded up having our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception under the large pavilion. It all still felt magical! We were able to get some cute photos on top of the hill when the rain was light, and during the dinner a rainbow came out so it made up for the rain! Every photo that was taken at our wedding has unique beautiful backdrops. Wally sets you up with “farm hands” (Jack; who was awesome) who we were able to hire to be there during rehearsal dinner and also to clean up after the event. Also if you want cool horse photos, ask Wally to connect you with some of the horse owners and you can rent the horse for an hour. We had Chef Anthony Mario do our catering, he was amazing and worked well with our venue too! Danielle from Hudson Valley Trendsetters was our day of coordinator and she was well informed about the venue and worked beautifully with our vendors as well. We had 190 people and everyone fit comfortably. I would suggest this venue to anyone who wants a rustic wedding vibe. -

My wife and I had an amazing wedding at RRVF! Wally is so friendly and kind. We planned the wedding we dreamed of since the venue is a blank canvas. The ability to have the farm from Friday to Sunday was extremely helpful. The backdrop of the mountains under the arbor on the hilltop was stunning! Our guests raved about how cool the venue was. It was the only venue that could hold the amount of guests we planned for, reasonable priced and provide ample time for us to not feel rushed. Wally offered so many amazing vendor suggestions and was very communicative! We definitely suggest booking RRVF for your wedding! -

Wedding venue of my dreams!
I came across Rustic Ridge View Farm through a google search and immediately scheduled a viewing. Upon meeting the owner Wally (during a snowstorm and still allowed us to view his property) we knew, without a moment of hesitation, that we found the perfect place to marry.
Wally is a gem of human, host, person, guide - you name it! Day of the wedding a laundry list of incidents occurred, including lipstick stains on the front of my dress seconds before walking down the aisle. Wally quickly raced home in his golf cart and returned with all sorts of products until the stains were nearly invisible. Berry stains on a white dress! To say I was left speechless is an understatement.
In addition to this, Wally was incredibly attentive to all of our needs throughout the entire weekend. From setting up on Friday, driving guests around the farm on Saturday, and providing my husband and me with tools to take everything apart on Sunday. Due to the intense heat and only my husband and I at the farm packing up, we weren't able to finish before sunset. Wally didn't have a problem with us returning on Monday to finish up and even invited us over for food, beer and to freshen up with a swim in his pool. He offered us his pool and fed us!! Wally, we adore you!!
I must also mention, that on Sunday night Wally generously offered us his Airbnb that's located on the farm, free of cost. We had left our belongings at the place we were staying so we didn't take him up on the offer but it was completely selfless and greatly appreciated.
If you haven't figured it out by now, Wally is genuinely the kindest, warmest person and I'm truly so indebted to him for his hospitality and kind demeanor towards my wedding guests. Several relatives asked who were the guys riding in the golf carts (Jack and Wally) because they were both so pleasant and eager to assist - including offering to bring me a margarita as I waited in the bathroom line!
I could go on forever but really, go find out for yourself! If you're lucky, there will be availability!
Wally, thank you so much for saving me a dance regardless of your sprained ankle! You are so sweet and I look forward to booking one of your Airbnbs in the near future! Jack, thank you for being such a huge help and pleasant to be around!

Wally reached out to me through Facebook. He is an acquaintance through the music community here in the Hudson Valley. I lived in the area from 2012-2015 and was looking for a place near Long Island/New Jersey/ and New Paltz to accomodate our wedding plans for family and friends to come together to celebrate. My husband and I live in Washington State. In Febuary 2022 we had our first conversation with Wally Nichols. From the very beginning Wally was above and beyond helpful. He shared with us an overview of the venue, what's included, what we needed and he had so many vendors for us to resource. Upon referral we hired John Livermore of the Stone Pony in Saugerties (who was amazing and professional) and Emily Achernacht as a photographer. Wally recommends vendors that he has an excellent working relationship with and that gave us piece of mind. Wally was with us every step of the way. He answered our questions whenever we had them, was patient, and humorous.
The venue is beautiful. We loved having the choice to rent out the bathrooms (saved us a lot of money too) the Love Shack for us (no travel needed after the reception) and the Farmhouse for getting ready for the ceremony. Wally even got us coffee in the morning. If you like a rustic yet beautiful wedding that is professional where you feel like you matter, I highly recommend Rustic Ridge for your wedding weekend! We had a karaoke party Friday night, the wedding on Saturday, and brunch in High Falls on Sunday. There are lots of air b and b's close by as well as motels too! Thank you Wally! -

Rustic Ridge View Farm was an absolutely amazing place for our wedding. The view from the hill during our ceremony was stunning and the huge rustic pavilion for our reception was exactly what we envisioned. Wally was a joy to work with from start to finish, answering all of our questions and giving us advice for over a year while we were in planning mode. Our wedding photos in the pine forest on the property and on the hill were magical. We even managed to capture some impromptu photos with a horse staying on the farm! Our guests loved the event and we couldn’t have chosen a better spot to celebrate. -

Wally rocks!
Wally and RRV Farm was the best decision we made in our wedding planning. While Upstate NY was a challenge in terms of dealing with vendors (there were lots of disappointments), RRV Farm came through exactly as advertised, with no unexpected problems. Wally was very attentive, hands on, and genuinely cares about what he does. He really went above and beyond to cater to our requests. -

If you're looking for the ultimate outdoor wedding experience in the Hudson Valley of NY, look no further than Rustic Ridgeview Farm! Wally and his crew were super accommodating in every way, helpful, friendly, and just very cool people. The setting is picturesque, and the venue is fully customizable. Think of it as a blank canvas with the most beautiful view of the Shawangunk Mountains as the frame. All of the other details are on you, but Wally has a lot of solid suggestions for vendors who are familiar with the workings of the grounds, and his advice is worth heeding for sure. The Pavilion easily held 340 people and a 30'x40' dance floor in my wedding-- we had 2 small 30'x20' separate tents for the bar and food to be served. Weddings under 300 people should easily be able to fit entirely under the Pavilion. The hilltop is a great place for the ceremony, as well as cocktail hour and a Friday night welcome party. All weddings in this area are expensive, but if you're looking to get the most bang for your buck, especially for the amount of time you have access to the grounds and don't mind a little D.I.Y., this place is the ultimate spot to host your special day (weekend). Our event was suit and tie, but can be more casual if you choose, and we still had campers camped on the property, as there is ample camping for dozens of guests, and a few good hotels nearby as well. I highly recommend renting the main house for the weekend as well to help stage your bridal / grooms parties. Once you check this place out for the first time, you can be certain, that if you want a full weekend wedding experience, this is 100% your best bet. -

The minute we first visited RRV, we knew it was our wedding venue. And man, were we right! Wally was incredibly accommodating in every possible way. He helped us execute decor ideas at the ceremony site and in the pavilion that just added to the magic of our day. The property and natural landscape give off the most amazing vibe, and our guests were able to feel it too. It's natural, rustic beauty is so stunning I can barely find words. We are so lucky to have found Wally and RRV to host our day! -

My wife and I were just married at RRVF on September 21,2019 with a beautiful picturesque day. Wally and The staff not only cared for our family and needs, but also helped us plan the perfect country wedding. We couldn’t have asked for better. From day 1, this venue made sure we were more than happy and satisfied. Our guests had the time of their lives. Their kids also had the time of their lives playing games, laying in the hammocks, running around and being kids. I highly recommend Rustic Ridge View for your wedding or next gathering. David Sent on 10/09/2017It’s hard to say the best part of Rustic Ridge. The location is as beautiful as could be. Many of our guests said the location was a perfect location for a wedding. The pavilion, the hilltop and the views in every direction were stunning. But Helen and Wally were just so helpful and so wonderful to work with. They were dependable, responsive, amazing problem solvers, flexible and many other things. We got the Silver package and it was exactly what we needed. As with any wedding we had fire drills come up but they all got handled with Helen and Wally’s help.
Thank you Helen and Wally. You made the weekend absolutely amazing and unforgettable. -

Ruta Sent on 07/12/2016In a word: PERFECT. RRVF was the absolute perfect location for our wedding on 7/9/16. The property is stunning, with breathtaking views of the Shawangunks. Our wedding was exactly what we wanted: a location with plenty of space, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and flexibility with our timeline. The pavilion easily fit our 140 guests, the catering stations, a big bar, and with ample room for a big dance floor and a separate area for cocktail hour. Not to mention the two sets of cornhole our guests played! We also had a late night campfire which added such a fun (and delicious) activity – roasting marshmallows! Wally and Helen are friendly, thoughtful, accommodating, and all-around awesome folks. Working with them on our DIY wedding was the best decision we made in the planning process. I highly recommend RRVF to anyone who wants a unique and beautiful wedding. -

Susie Sent on 09/04/2018our wedding at rustic ridge view farm was absolutely amazing! so many guests were in awe of the location and it's amazing views. some even said if they weren't already married they would have got married there! the owners are super flexible and accommodating. the only reason it's not 5 star is because they changed their contract shortly after we booked to become more inclusive and a better value. -
