Russo’s is Phenomenal

I have nothing but great things to say. The staff was so easy to work with. Brenna and Courtney met with me many times to ensure that every detail of my wedding day was exactly how I wanted it! They were so patient with me and had so many good recommendations for linens, glassware, how to set up the room, etc!! We had our reception at Piazza Messina, and I’m still in awe of how beautiful it was! The food is top notch and reasonably priced. We are still getting compliments on the menu. We recommend Russo’s to everyone we encounter that is planning some sort of party/ wedding!

Unbelievable night!

Mark Russo, Tony Walsh, AND the staff deserve 10 stars if it were possible! We found out, during the ceremony, that the roads to the venue (a NON-Russo's venue) for my sister's wedding reception were flooded and it looked like the reception needed to be cancelled. How horrible for my sister and my new brother-in-law. HOWEVER, Mark and Tony stepped up and were able to put together a great reception for around 170 people with great food in only a few hours notice!! The turnaround from not having a reception at all, to having great food, bartenders, friendly staff, and great atmosphere was truly unbelievable. Huge thank you to Tony and Mark. You guys stepped up and my family will be talking about this unforgettable night forever.

Super Delicious!

Russo’s catering was the best thing to happen to our wedding! Our main goal was for people to leave full and satisfied with dinner and mission accomplished! The stations buffet went above our expectations and provided everyone with options for meals, including those with most dietary restrictions. We introduced people to things they might not normally try and we had so so many compliments on the food! I wish they could cater my everyday life with how delicious everything was. They also went above and beyond to provide us with specific dessert requests we had since we did not want cake and they turned out just as amazing. I couldn’t be happier we got to work with Russo’s for our wedding day!

Great Service

Russo's catering did a phenomenal job with our wedding! Our coordinator, Courtney, was very responsive and listened to what we wanted. She knew us by name and where our wedding was among all of her other clients. The food was amazing! We did the stations options with sliders, stir fry, and mac & cheese. The cake was so pretty and exactly what we wanted. They provided the linens, plates, silverware, non-alcohol drinks, and even set up the table rentals for us. They were also the best value among the others we considered in the St. Louis area.

Would definitely recommend!

The Russo's staff the day of our wedding were all SO great! We had to wait in the kitchen for the ceremony, and as I was the last to go out, the staff made sure my dress was laying properly before I went out, which was so sweet. They also were helpful in making sure the room looked great. And all the guests loved the food! I especially loved that they offer dessert as included in the bridal package. We did the token cake & dessert bar, which was so fun! I also appreciated they they were able to get gray tablecloths for us at a good price. Would definitely recommend!

From the the food to the service to the cake decoration - everything was superb! We had a little miscommunication on when the tablecloths were to arrive and the owner actually showed up early with them for us so we could finish setting up for the night. Received many compliments on the food and on the friendliness of the staff. Highly recommend Russos!

We used Russo's Catering to cater the food at our 5/6/17 wedding. We had a great experience with this company! Per a recommendation from our venue, The Thaxton, we set up a tasting session and their food was so delicious. We were able to taste several options for each course of our wedding dinner and were able to make informed selections. We dealt with Toni Callas during the entire planning process and she was nice and very responsive to any questions. We were able to talk through our plan for the day including butlered appetizers during out cocktail hour, our buffet style wedding dinner, and all setup and visualizations. Toni was very helpful and made wonderful suggestions. The food arrived on time and was amazing on the day, we had SO many positive comments from our guests. The staff during our event were dressed nicely and were very accommodating and helpful. Everything was set up exactly to our plan. We could not be more happy with our experience and would highly recommend Russo's for any event catering.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Russo's! There are many places to spend a great deal more on your event but it is not necessary! We had a very nice event and thank them for their flexibility, support, follow up and some great food!!

Russo's Catering was a preferred vendor at so many reception venues, and after looking at many options, we decided to use their venue Spazios. We received so many compliments from guests at how great the food was, how beautiful the reception was, and how great of a time they had. They were very flexible and have lots of great advice - that's what they do so utilize them! Well beyond my expectations!

We had a fantastic experience with Russo's & Spazio's. Brenna was fantastic to work with, I miss her now that our wedding is over! Our food was phenomenal, beautifully presented, and my gluten allergy was handled perfectly. Our Wedding Cake was stunning, exactly as I had imagined. The Russo family is wonderful and that shows in their business dealings! Wholeheartedly suggest everyone working with Russo's catering and just going to the source with Brenna at Spazios. Russo's Catering was great to work with! Emily was awesome to correspond and plan our wedding with. Words cannot express our gratitude to Russo’s catering for their amazing work - in fact without them our wedding reception would not turn out so beautiful!! We are extremely happy that we went with Russo’s for setting up the reception room and preparing the food and desserts. The people of Russo’s are absolutely wonderful, from the beginning, to even after your wedding day! Not only are they professional and experienced, but they are more than willing to work with you on your budget. We worked with Courtney as our coordinator for the administrative side including pricing, chair covers, colors, type of food and she was phenomenal!! She was professional, accessible and always going above and beyond to make sure everything was on track. Russo’s is one big team and every person involved with your reception will answer all of your questions. As a company Russo’s organizes a tasting reception that we strongly recommend going to. It is fun and the food is great. To our most pleasant surprise, the actual food at the reception was even better! We opted for a dessert selection self-service bar instead of the cake and we are still hearing compliments about the miniature sweets. They even decorated the buffet and dessert table elegantly while matching our colors! The execution of every detail we planned was flawless and the wedding reception went better than we can ever have expected!! Everyone was raving all night about how good the food was and some of the best they have had at any wedding or party. During the reception, their service staff was very professional and inconspicuous. What we love about Russo’s is that they will do all of your rentals and food, and they have great connections with other vendors. I highly recommend them for your wedding day or any other event, because they will make your day perfect! Thank you everyone in Russo’s!!

Courtney was our contact for Russo's and what a dream she was! She was always so friendly and accommodating whether at a tasting, a wedding show, or our consultation. She is ever the professional and always answered our questions promptly and reminded me to do things I never would have even considered in wedding planning. We felt that our options with Russo's were vast within our budget and they easily put together a package that included everything we could ever want. The food was DELICIOUS, people are still talking about it. Our cake was absolutely beautiful, we had 4 different flavors (one for each tier) and each was better than the last. Russo's happened to be the required caterer for my venue but in hindsight we would have chosen them a million times over. From the bar to the wait staff no one could have been more friendly or helpful. There was a contract mix-up and last call was called early, but once reviewing the contract it was immediately reversed without even a second mention. A+ service, A+ food.

We chose Russo's Catering from the preferred vendors list at our wedding venue. We were interested in doing a stations buffets, as opposed to a traditional buffet, and Russo's had excellent options. Courtney was the contact we worked with. We were able to meet her face-to-face at one of Russo's tastings, and she was excited to meet with us in person shortly after. She was friendly, flexible, and very easy to work with. She was always excited to see us and responded quickly to any questions we had. The reasonable price was a factor in our decision. Courtney even arranged to turn one of our stations into passed appetizers so that we could stick to our budget. My brother, one of our groomsmen, said the next day, "The mini beef wellington appetizer was the best part of the whole day. I almost cried." Our guests raved about the food. The Italian Station (especially the tortellini) and Diner Station provided a variety that matched mine and my husband's personalities and gave our guests options to choose from. We were able to choose four different flavors for the four tiers of our cake, and not only did it look exactly as we pictured it, it was delicious! My husband loves strawberry shortcake, so Courtney suggested mini-strawberry shortcakes as an additional dessert. They were in little cups with tiny forks and were absolutely adorable and scrumptious! We went in for the budget and came out with the most delicious food we've ever had at a wedding, and we have very high standards.

My wife and I hired Russo's Catering to cater our wedding in early November. It was fantastic! Toni was very helpful in the early stages of planning and very responsive throughout the whole process. We heard from so many of our guests that the food was phenomenal and some of the best they've had at a wedding reception. The staff that worked the reception were there early setting up and were a breeze to work with. They made sure everything was where it was supposed to be and it made the entire evening even easier not having to worry about things. They paid extra special attention to my wife and I at the head table, making sure we always had water/champagne/food or whatever else we needed. I highly recommend Russo's for your event!

The best, upgrade the beef to the sirloin of beef tenderloin and you wont be sorry. We used them for our wedding on 6/20/15 . Everyone is still raving about the food, it was delicious. The staff was awesome , everywhere you looked there was someone available to help you . The head waitress lady knew what i needed before i asked she was like my personal assistant all night and the bartenders were awesome. After the reception they packed up the extra food for us to take home, although there wasn't much left :)
I also got my cake from them , chocolate with chocolate ganache filling and white cake with strawberry , it was the bomb!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Graphic Arts Banquet Center. We enjoyed working with Katie through the planning process. We were absolutely thrilled with the transformation of the auditorium for the ceremony. John Saffa and the staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The food was amazing and the presentation was beautiful! We received compliments from so many guest throughout the evening. Friends and family continue to talk about how much they enjoyed the food. My husband and I had our wedding reception at Spazio Westport on October 18, 2014. Our experience was phenomenal. Mark Russo and Emily Otto were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. Erick the chef at Spazio worked hard on preparing the food for our family style reception exactly the way we requested it.

We are still receiving compliments on how lovely the garden room and bistro were set up as well as how delicious the food was. Larren and Nikki did a great job on the presentation of the set up as well as the food. Our cake was done by Russo's and it looked and tasted exceptional. We will recommend Spazio and Russo's Catering to anyone we know.

Russo's catering for my daughter's wedding was excellent. The guests throughout the night kept approaching me, with praise for the meal service, and layout! Emily, was professional and a pleasure to work with, no matter what requests we threw at her , she honored everyone with a smile! I was in amazement watching the staff set-up the banquet area, and the finished look was exactly what we strived for--classy, and welcoming! I had my wedding through Russo's at the Grand Hall on Chouteau. Kathy is wonderful to work with she was always on top of everything leaving us nothing to worry about! Our banquet captain was Andy he was great ! The reception went off without the slightest hiccup the food was fantastic, the room was set exactly how i wanted it, and the staff was very friendly and professional. The wedding was 2 weeks ago and i'm still getting compliments from the guests. Thank you Russo's for making our day perfect!

We went to my step son's wedding and I was completely sold on Russo's then and they once again blew us away at our daughter's wedding! They without a doubt are the best in St. Louis! We had nothing but the highest praise for their food, service and presentation.
Before the wedding, Katie our coordinator was amazing at helping us with details we had NO idea about. They had a sample dinner a few months prior so we had an idea of what our choices might be like. It was lovely! Everything about this company is superior!

Food was good. Services was quick and friendly. Value couldn't be beat. They knew what they were doing for sure. They do a ton of weddings, so you're not going to get that true personal touch, but for what we wanted, they were A+.

Russo's catered my daughters wedding at The City Museum. They were absolutely wonderful. The food was so delicious. Many of our guests said it was the best food they'd ever eaten at a wedding reception. The service was excellent. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. They set out all of the decorations we had provided and even repacked the mason jars we used for drinks. Kathy was so helpful and made everything easy for us. Their prices are very reasonable and I would use them again for a special event. I highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or any other special occasion. You will not be disappointed.

We booked Russo's a few months before our wedding when our original caterer closed. They were very helpful in working with us both on our budget, and being flexible with their packages to get exactly what we wanted. Everyone at the wedding raved about the food, especially the mashed potato bar. Toni and Mark were both great to work with when picking out our menu, and were really helpful figuring out what we wanted and how to set it up. Overall, we loved Russo's!

Our cake was perfect and our guests were raving about our cupcakes!

We worked with Emily and she is just amazing! She met every single of my requests that I asked for. I can't imagine dealing with 25 other brides and being that involved and professional as she was with me. My reception venue was out of this world, husband and I were both blown away when we walked in because they set it up so beautifully! Your cake comes with package...what?! Yep that's right! We had our reception at the Anheuser Busch Conference Center at the Soccer Park in Fenton. We were not given a choice of Caterers and were told we had to use Russo's. Although we heard great things, we attended a general tasting at Spazzios, which was a buffet. We requested a private tasting as we were having a sit down dinner and wanted to try our top two choices. They were most accommodating, and it was very easy to make our final selections. The food was served hot and plated beautifully. I would recommend Russo's to anyone, whether you have a choice or not.

Working with Russo's and Kathy was easy and professional. They answered any questions we had quickly and were willing to work with us on what we wanted. The food was delicious and guests were raving about it during and days after the reception. I would highly recommend them to other brides looking for a professional and efficient caterer who will also give them great tasting food!

Russo's did a wonderful job with my specialty cake. I had a brownie wedding cake with a lace design on it, and they executed it perfectly! Kathy was particularly accomodating and they even put the cake right on the cake stand I purchased. It tasted delicious, and looked even better. I will definitely recommend everyone to them!

Russo's was great from beginning to end. We worked with Liz Costello and she was always responsive and very helpful with any questions we had. We had SO many people come up to us at the reception telling us how wonderful the food was and that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. And the cake also got rave reviews, it was moist and had a great flavor...the design of it was exactly what I wanted as well. I would highly recommend them for their professionalism, and most importantly, GREAT food! You will not be disappointed!

Russo's was amazing! I can't say enough good things about them. I have heard from countless guests that the food was fabulous. They were so great to work with and pulled off our reception of 300 guests flawlessly. The presentation was great and the taste even better! I Highly, highly, recommend them!

I used Russo's through Kemp Auto Museum. We didn't even have a food tasting and can I just say...who cares! The food was a hit and we got compliments all night. They deliver exactly as promised. If you want to be sure you're getting a good product, go with Russo's.

These guys offered a package that included our reception location, our catering, decorations for the hall, and our cake. They were very helpful and flexible with us, and allowed us to rent a location for our ceremony extremely cheaply. I'd recommend them to anyone!

I think one of the best planning experiences my husband and I had was working with Russo's Catering and the staff at Spazio's Westport. Emily was so wonderful to work with and always available to answer my questions or take care of any last minutes changes. If she couldn't get back to me immediately, there was someone who I could contact. The staff was so accommodating the night of our reception. They had everything set up so beautifully and exactly as I had visioned. Our guests are still raving about the food!!! The kitchen staff even made an alternative plate for one of our guests that night with no questions asked. I can honestly say that the best decision we made, besides getting married, was working with Russo's catering!

Russo's catering was great to work with. Our contact there was not always very responsive, but once she did respond she was always very helpful. The service and food was amazing! Many of our guests mentioned how much the liked the food and I couldn't agree more. The food and cake were delicious!

Russo's was great to work with. They were very flexible and willing to meet with us on our schedule, including Saturday afternoons. They made everything very easy, laid out our options clearly, and provided suggestions. The staff was wonderful at reception and made everything run incredibly smoothly. I brought them a picture of a cake design, and it turned out so beautifully...and it tasted great! I heard so many of my guests comment on how good the food was, and I agree!

Russo's did a FANTASTIC job with my wedding of about 250 people. I held my reception at the Graphic Arts Communication center, and it was the perfect size. Liz, my wedding coordinator for Russo's worked with me to design every detail from the linens, candles, and centerpieces. We planned a lot of it through email, since I don't live in the St. Louis area, so it was nice that Liz was usually pretty quick to respond. The food was excellent, and all of my guests enjoyed the passed hors d'oeuvres prior to the wedding party arriving. Also, we were given a champagne toast to the head table. My cake was also provided through Russo's, and I loved it - the best I've ever had at a wedding! Russo's also provides invitations, but since my sister is a graphic designer and was making mine, they gave us a discount. Overall, I think Russo's is THE BEST RECEPTION SITE FOR YOUR MONEY!!! Working with Russo's was GREAT!

Russo's Catering is awesome! I had countless compliments about how good the food was on our wedding day! The workers are all very friendly and willing to work with you on whatever you needed. My wedding and reception were one right after the other in the same venue and they helped set up, flip the room, and clean. They were amazing! The price was a little higher than I normally would have liked to have but considering all the services they provided to us it was totally worth it!

When catering an event where a small percent of your guests have special dietary needs, waiting until just under a month before you need their services is a very poor decision. Russo's not only provided excellent services (from food to tables to staffing), but they created an amazing custom feast at a more than reasonable cost. The coordinator I worked with was very timely, professional, friendly, helpful, accommodating, and detailed in her responses. The staff were also very professional and "johnny on the spot" for the services requested of them. I received their recommendation from a family member and now I pass that recommendation on to you, dear reader.

Russo's Catering along with the staff at the Butterfly House exceeded our expectations for our wedding. Our representative, Katie, was easy to work with and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. The food was hot and delicious and there was a great variety of choices to select for the package we chose. We loved the fact that the cake was included and the baker did an excellent job on the design and our guests enjoyed all of our flavor options. The servers were friendly and very attentive to our guests needs. Our only disappointment was the carving station. Since the bride and groom were served first, we were only offered the end cuts which were well-done although we asked for medium-rare. Both my husband and I agree that we made the best choice of a caterer.

They had absolutely delicious food and plenty of options to choose from to fit your budget. I was suprised at how good the food was compared to the price - very reasonable! They handled everything from the actual food to the linens to the cake and they were extremely helpful with the planning process. The only thing is that I wish I would've had more time to eat the food. The risotto is the best!

Our reception at the Graphic Arts Center was amazing! This location is owned by Russo's. We still get compliments from our family and friends on the service and food quality. They offer a huge selection and are very flexible with your needs. Their pastry chef is top notch! You won't find a better tasting cake at any bakery! FABULOUS! They have one price for everything; hors 'd ourves, salad, entree, sides, cake, bar, service! AMAZING!

I had planned to go with a different venue, but they booked an event on the same day leaving me scrambling over the July 4th weekend to find another venue/caterer that could work with my limited budget and only 3-month lead time. I e-mailed several venues over that weekend. Russo's was the first to contact me, agreed to meet with me that day, reviewed with me a few venues available the day of my wedding depending on the time I wanted the reception, and, most importantly, calmed my frazzled nerves with assurances. They completely respected my situation and met my every need.

Last week I went to a tasting to pick out the food for our reception. Almost everything I tasted was great! Of course, everyone is going to have a few things they don't like. But Russo's offers such a variety that I'm going to have a hard time decided what to go with.

Delicious food options, great venue options, and a wedding cake included in the price. Great service, great people, and awesome food. You can't do any better than Russo's!

We chose Russo's Catering for our daughter's wedding and couldn't be happier with our choice. Their staff and service was wonderful and they did an amazing job with the flip of the room from ceremony to reception. The cocktail hour was tasty with appetizers of toasted manicotti, shrimp canapes, artichoke puff pastries, and tomato soup shooter with mini grilled cheese. Many of our guests told us that the buffet was one of the best they have had at a wedding. We chose pork stuffed with cranberries, roast beef with two sauces, glazed honey carrots, mashed potatoes, and the most amazing white cheddar mac n cheese. The bartenders were also great and the drinks were not watered down. I highly recommend Russo's for your catering needs.

We used Russo's as our wedding caterer and selected them after meeting with and trying 2 other St. Louis caterers. Russo's was the easiest to work with, offered us the most options, and overall best value for yummy food! Additionally, Russo's provides wedding cakes in the catering price - one less thing we had to worry about! The cake was delicious and they were able to decorate it just how I wanted it (from a picture pulled from Pinterest!). Katie was amazing to work with and helped us organize the entire meal and service for the evening. At the reception itself, the onsite Russo's staff was fun and helpful!

Great food and staff was wonderful. Very respectful and compassionate. Response times were a little delayed at times which i can understand during September. We were told we would have bottled beer and 2 beers on tap and did not receive the beers on tap. I emailed about it afterwards and never got a response. Other than that it was great food and service.

Other than the fact that the person we worked with during our planning wasn't there the night of the event, we were incredibly pleased with Russo's. It was a great value, delicious food, delicious cake and delicious coffee! The dinner options were fresh and perfect for a hot August day (compared to some of the heavy options other caterers offered). We also used the centerpieces Russo's offered and the room looked great.

Great meal

Did the Bridal package for the McPherson and worked with Kathy. Food and cake were excellent! Sometimes communication wasn't as organized as I would have liked, but day of everything was easy and went smoothly. We got many food compliments. Loved how much the package included, made things very easy. Russo's knows catering and events so well. They helped us with planning beyond just the food.

I was very impressed with the staff on the night of our event. They were very professional and made sure everything was taken care of. We received so many compliments on the food and cake. I would definitely recommend attending one of the tasting events in order to narrow down your choices because everything is delicious! Katie, the coordinator we worked with, was difficult to get ahold of during the planning process and I found myself having to follow up multiple emails with a phone call in order to receive a response to my questions.

Russo's food selections are amazing! We were able to go to a tasting before picking our caterer and Russo's knocked it out of the park! We couldn't decide on just two main dishes. Everything was delicious. They were completely set up 2 hours before the event. They staff was friendly and tentative. (I was escorted back to my seat while a staff member carried my plate).

Everyone at the wedding stated it was the best wedding food they have ever had! They are a little on the pricey side, but the cake was included as well. I didn't want to search for a cake, glad I didn't and it was delicious as well. They had our top tier all wrapped and packaged to go into the freezer by the end of the night.

seemed very pricey for what we got. quality of food was generally good. had vietnamese rice paper rolls but no sauce to dip them into. also, there were 3 sauces near the kabob station but one was not labeled...
we ordered several veggie burgers for the slider station, but there was no sign telling people they had to ask for one. they ran out quickly once word got out. feedback from guests (especially vegetarian ones) was that the veggie burgers were very good--homemade and tasty. bistro chips were crunchy and fresh. asian station was a hit also. i assumed we were getting china plates, but that really jacked the price up, so we went with nice plastic plates. really wasn't a big deal, because the plastic plates were good and sturdy, but as much money as we spent on this party, it would have been nice to have real plates.

Best wedding food I've had

Russo's provided some of the best wedding food I've ever had (and I'm not just saying that because it was my own wedding). My guests have been commenting on the food and the cake since our reception. We did family style, which was perfect for our taste. Kathy was easy to work with overall, but we did have a few issues getting a hold of her at times. However, despite that, we got everything we wanted and it all went smoothly the day of. Also the waitstaff were amazing! Lastly, our dogs are a very important part of our lives. Russo's was able to take pictures of our dogs and customize them to our cake. The likeness was incredible! And, the taste of the cake was on point. Highly recommend them for both catering and your cake!

The food was so delicious! I had so many people raving about it afterwards. Also the bar and wait staff were so sweet and accommodating! Very professional. The only complaint I had was my event coordinator Katie. She did not answer emails at all, unless I went and emailed one of the Russo's or somebody else. She was very hard to get a hold of when I was trying to set up my menu planning and if I had any questions. It had me worried if I would even have food at my wedding! Other than that, everything was wonderful!

Their food was amazing. A guest said that he thought he hated eggplant until he their eggplant Parmesan (at our wedding) changed his life.

The woman who ran our wedding night (we think her name is Laurie) was extremely professional and responsive throughout the evening. She asked us (the bride and groom) questions a few times, but was never intrusive and was always quick to follow through on our answer. The rest of the staff was similarly responsive when it came to things like room temperature or lighting.

Russo's worked hard to provide the access we needed to our venue (Soulard Preservation Hall), but we were disappointed with the contact they provided for the ceremony rehearsal the Friday before the wedding. She did not know how to adjust things like the lighting and consistently told us we could work out kinks/questions the day of the wedding (which was unnerving for a wedding for two type-A personalities).

However, the lighting, table set-up, and everything was executed exactly as we wanted it.

We LOVED the food Russo's catered for our wedding. They were also very informative and flexible with menu options and decor.

Additionally, their staff was INCREDIBLY helpful the day of, and helped immensely with the decorations and setup.

Over all our experience was good with Russo's for our wedding. We had a couple of mishaps, and lack of communication at one point, but over all a good experience!! The food was good, however the green beans that we had at our tasting were not spicy and the ones we had at our reception were almost unbearably spicy. my child couldnt even eat them and she loves green beans. the meats were great though, and the other sides and salads were wonderful. the tables were all so pretty! just a few quirks here and there.

The coordinator I was working with was very flexible. She was willing to work with all of our requests. The only problem I had was at the actual reception, we requested black square plates to match our decor and we were given white styrofoam instead!!! It was totally tacky and made our whole reception look cheap!

Having an event at Fenton soccer park, the prices were $10 more per person for no specified reason. Russo's only offers tastings twice a year so unless you can make these tasting you have no clue what you are getting for food or cake.

Good food, difficult to contact

We used Russo's as our caterer for everything (appetizers, food, cake and bar) because it was the only caterer allowed at our venue. The end result was great and we received many compliments on our food and cake. The staff was very professional and did a great job at setting up and keeping the venue tidy throughout the night. The planning portion of working with Russo's was a little more difficult. On several occasions, I would go a few weeks without a response from our contact. My fiancé, mother and I showed up for a planning meeting and our contact did not have it on her calendar and was not prepared to meet with us at all. We were offered a tasting in the fall for our spring wedding, but Russo's served all their fall and winter dishes and we did not get to taste the spring-food and had to take a chance on a few items for our menu. In the end, the food and service was great, despite the difficulties with planning leading up to the wedding.

The reception venue coordinator was our biggest issue. Let me say this first though, I don't believe this is the coordinators complete fault, it seemed that she was over booked and over worked.

The woman who worked with us always used the excuse from the time leading up to the wedding that events before ours were a higher priority. She was difficult to reach and when we could reach her she always made me feel like my questions were not wanted and that she didn't have time to answer them. Through out the planning experience we would always ask of the coordinators thoughts, as a bride you have many ideas that you want to do, but it's the coordinator's place to be able to say what works best and to give the bride other available options.. I spoke with many other friends who were planning their wedding at the same time and they always told me that it was the reception coordinators job to give you ideas on how to decorate the space and what works best. They've seen the space with various elements and are there to advice.When I asked for photos of the space, from other brides, from the coordinator, she told me that no one wanted to give her any.Most brides I know can't wait to show off their photos and offer a helping hand to other brides who may utilize the same space.

As the date got closer I thought the coordinator would have been more helpful and responsive to our needs. The coordinator did not communicate with the band, who was providing the up lighting, and the event rental company the week prior to the wedding as we had requested and had been ensured by her that this would be done. These issues could have easy been avoided!!!! We put so much into our day that if she would have called and said the morning of that something needed to be added it would have absolutely been worth it!!!!!

Overall the food was great, the wait staff was professional and out guest enjoyed themselves!!!!

The food was AMAZING and the place was beautiful and our guests have no complaints. On the business end of working with them as a bride however, it got really frustrating. VERY slow to get back to me and at one point I was thinking I am not going to pay them (it was when the six month payment was due) until they get back to me through email. I will say however that everything worked out in the end and the reception its self was fabulous. We had ours at the Graphic Arts Banquet Center, Russos runs several sites. So, while this may not be the most glowing review, please consider them as long as you have time call them more than email, or if things do not make you anxious.

Working with Russo's the night of my wedding was absolutely great! The staff was incredibly nice and very attentive to my husband and I as well as our guests. What I did not enjoy was working with Katie, their wedding coordinator. She isn't the friendliest person and I often felt like they were trying to nickel and dime us for every single thing. Not very accommodating whatsoever, as any little change you make seems to be a problem and results in an additional cost. Also, be leery of bringing in your own linens, as they will refuse to take them down at the end of the night but they will set them up (doesn't make much sense to me). So I had to pay a fee for my linen rental company to come and tear down at the end of the night. Don't be fooled by the "cake is included" aspect either, as they didn't have the design I wanted, a damask print, so I was told I had to order the stencils myself and provide them to Russo's. The stencils also meant that they had to use a different kind of icing, which also resulted in an additional cost. Overall, I highly enjoyed working with Russo's the night of my wedding but did not enjoy working with them on the logistics throughout the planning process.

The food from Russo's was amazing! They also did our wedding cake that was beautiful and delicious. They did special meals to accommodate all of my guests with allergies or special needs. They also helped me set up my centerpieces and name cards the day of. My main problems with Russo's were getting them to respond to me. I sent several emails and would wait a week or two with no response. My husband or I would then have to call and ask for them to call us. The response was always, oh our email was down or our computers were having issues, etc. Please. I had to be the one on top of everything, I was never contacted about what information was still needed, when to sit down and do a tasting, etc. Then after not being contacted after reaching out to them, I was given short deadlines for information they needed. Great Food, not the best Service.

Unprofessional service, stressful to work with, delicious food.

While the food Russo’s served at our wedding was legitimately delicious, their service was incredibly disappointing. They were really understaffed for our event, showed up late, were 15-20 minutes late opening the bar during the cocktail hour, about 45 minutes late serving dinner, and were so stressed out at various times throughout the reception that they yelled at the groom, the mother of the bride, guests, and at one point cussed out a table that wasn’t unfolding properly.

We paid extra for gluten free meals that went unserved (two guests got them on request, three others never did). We also paid extra for a keg of beer that was never made available to the guests (Russo’s says it was there, but the bartender said it wasn’t when asked night of). We’ve reached out to them about a refund on the extras that weren’t served, but they’ve been uncooperative.

I was really excited at first to work with Russos. The tasting was awesome. Everything seemed great leading up to the of the wedding. The day of the caterer called in sick, apparently didn't give the replacement any details about my schedule or venue. So, my wedding coordinator kept calling and reaching out. The food was late. They brought out to apperitizers way too early. The cake was just okay. Before hand Russos knew that my florist was supposed to put the flowers on the cake. I guess when the florist arrived the cake wasn't even there and they told her they would put the flowers on the cake. I ended up a totally bare white cake. Nothing like what I pictured. We paid $10,000+ For horrible service. I might as well have had apple bees cater my wedding. After the big day my mom was so upset, I guess they refunded her the price of the soda $500. Honestly though that doesn't make up for what happened. When you put out that much money you expect high quality service. You have warned!!!!

Horrible communication

We used Russo's catering for our wedding and our overall experience was below average. We were required to use Russo's catering through our venue. From the get go our journey with Russo's started out rocky. The communication was absolutely terrible. My fiancé and I would wait weeks to over a month for a response from the Russo's coordinator we were assigned to. I would have to send multiple follow up emails in order to get a response. This made planning the details of our wedding very difficult. Finally we had our in person meeting with Russo's where we went over every single detail of the day. Russo's is contracted to do tear down of the ceremony and set up of the reception which comes with an extra fee of ~$2 per person. At this meeting we were told since Russo's was setting up the reception we could put our table decorations in boxes labeled by table number with pictures and directions of how we wanted it and the staff would set it out. So that is what we did. We had 14 tables and 14 boxes labeled by table number. We included a binder with photos of each table and clear directions of how it was to be set up so there would be no confusion. On the day of our wedding my mother talked to a staff member from Russos and showed them the boxes and binders before the cocktail hour started. everyone agreed on the plan and the day moved forward. During the outdoor cocktail hour my mother stepped inside to check on the caterers and the set up multiple times. It wasn't until 10 minutes before the cocktail hour was supposed to end and the reception was supposed to start that a staff member told my mother they could not set out any of our decorations. My mother then had to grab our entire bridal party from the cocktail hour and bring them inside to begin setting everything out. This resulted in our cocktail hour running 40 minutes over and pushing back the schedule for the entire reception. Not only did we run behind schedule but our guests were also without drinks for the extra 40 mins of cocktail hour. Russo's closed the outdoor bar and moved to the inside bar while our guests were stuck outside without drinks. This truly made no sense. We ran 40 minutes over because of Russo's and then they closed the outdoor bar where us and all of the guests were to move to the inside bar while the inside of the venue was not open to guests yet because my mother and bridal party were currently having to set up for the reception. the food was good and a handful of the staff was extremely nice during the reception. however, we paid $12,250.78 for terrible communication, our reception running 40 minutes behind schedule and for our guests to be without drinks for 40 minutes. We were charged $2 per person for an additional 1/2 hour of bar service, $150/half hour for bar service past 4 hours and $150 fee for the outdoor bar during cocktail hour yet we were without bar service for 40 minutes due to the poor communication on Russo's part. Since then Russo's has done nothing to mend the situation and has also tried to make it seem like we are not being truthful about our experience. They do not take feed back or criticism well at all which has only made it worse.

Terrible nightmare!

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would!! These people, especially Toni Callas are a COMPLETE nightmare to work with! She never responds to emails and lies about everything. They have a complete disregard of the men and women who service this country. I would HIGHLY recommend choosing someone else, anyone else, to cater your event. After I asked for all of my money back because of a unforeseen circumstance, they completely stopped responding to me, ghosting me. When I reported them to the BBB they blatantly lied about all of my claims, telling them I was lying about all of it. Why would I lie about my fiancé being deployed?
I honestly have never in my life dealt with a company that was this unprofessional! Save yourself the time and especially money and not even get involved with these terrible people and this greedy, unprofessional company. Very DISAPPOINTING!!

I normally would not a review but I have had 2 horrible experiences with their catering in the last year. One was my wedding, I realized they had been damaged in the hail storm in April 2012 but their lack of communication about the repairs, what was happening and overall responsiveness was horrible. We found out the day before our wedding that our wedding reception was going be actually going to be at Spazio's. The kitchen wasn't finished. They were putting in carpet squares as my guest were arriving. The ran out of appetizers during our cocktail hour. They broke my cake topper. We ordered another cake for someones birthday through them and they "forgot it" and got the entire timeline for the wedding wrong. They almost served champagne to minors but we stopped them in time. The bathrooms where not complete and divider screens fell as guest were using facilities. it was not a good experience. to make up for this we had a certificate for catering for a dinner party and alerted them of a sever allergy to strawberries. It was written on my invoice in 4 places with bold print. But when we unpacked our trays of food. There was strawberries all over the trays. We called Russos and the response was nonchalant that we can just remove them and it will be fine. After 3 phone calls, we finally got a response that there was nothing that can be done. So we called again, and we are then told someone was coming to our address to drop off a replacement for one of the trays. They did not call us to let us know this. Our event was at another address than our invoice and we just happened to stop by and let out our dog. So if we had not stopped by what would they have done. It was one of the owners and when asked how this can happen he said "people" no sorry, no we will be more careful just people happen. It is that attention to detail that worries me and is not acceptable. Food allergies aren't a small detail and anyone in the food industry should realize this.

Save yourself the money & the energy and go with someone else! It was a complete nightmare working with Russo's Catering & Kathy Costello. So many things went wrong from the very beginning--all the way to the day of our wedding (From being overcharged, to unauthorized use of our credit card, to raw chicken at our reception--ugh, disgusting!!!!) Russo's was the absolute worst decision we made during our entire wedding process. Kathy is condescending, crass, and absolutely awful at her job. Incompetent would be the best word to describe her, as she called me 3 TIMES while we were getting pictures taken because she couldn't figure out WHERE TO PUT THE TABLE NUMBERS. Aside from the fact that she had a print out of the breakdown of where the table numbers go, she still could not figure it out. I mean, SERIOUSLY? It's not rocket science, that is the easiest part of your job! NO bride should have to be upset on their wedding day, be served raw meat, or have to deal with someone like Kathy and Russo's. I wish there was more space, so I could write all of my horror stories! I just want to share my story anywhere I can to save a couple from having their day ruined by Kathy and the entire Russo's team. I have wrote reviews on yelp and wedding wire (both of these Kathy reported and tried to get taken down, thankfully Wedding Wire respects our reviews) and I reported them to the BBB. They have no integrity as a company and that's terrifying for the wedding business and all future couples looking for a venue! Brides, trust your gut and your intuition! Mine was not wrong for anything! It just so happened we were forced to go with Russo's, as they were the exclusive caterer. We now know, if you love a venue, you can contact the hall and ask to use a different caterer!
