A Perfect East TN Weekend

We had the most perfect wedding weekend at RT Lodge. The most meaningful part of the weekend was getting to have so many loved ones all together at the lodge. Everyone loved how cozy it felt, and we got so lucky with the spring weather and flowers blooming! We had a lot of guests coming from all over (from California to Canada to the Netherlands...) and it was so much fun getting to show off East TN.

Being able to have all the events in one venue was also great. You really felt like you were in a different space for each part (garden setting for the ceremony, back by the lodge for cocktail hour, and in the tent for the reception), but only had to walk a few steps to get from one to the other--not to mention just having to walk out your room door to get to any of them.

The food was also outstanding. (I would've had my wedding at RT Lodge just for the tasting alone. I feel like we ate for 4 hours straight, and it was all incredible.) And, it was all the more fun given how enthusiastic the team was about incorporating foods with special meaning--a Great British Bakeoff-style groom's cake, tea cookies with edible flowers pressed on, cranberry walnut bread just like what's served at one of our favorite spots in DC, late night fried chicken-pimiento cheese biscuits, and more. They were also so thoughtful about accommodating a wide range of dietary restrictions.

And Ali is just the best. I expected wedding planning to be stressful, but with Ali and the team at RT, it wasn't only painless, but was actually fun. Ali was SO organized and helpful choosing and coordinating with vendors--I could count on her to remember everything I would never have thought of. And on the day of, Ali worked like crazy behind the scenes from dawn to midnight while somehow also being so positive and relaxed at every moment. It was exactly the energy you want if you're a bride on wedding day!

That really goes for the whole team. They were just on it the entire weekend. I've been at weddings before where there are different snags (long lines for drinks, awkward in-between periods, etc.) but here, everything ran so seamlessly, and we felt taken care of the whole time.

Last thing--one of my low-key favorite things about the weekend was also that a (very good) breakfast is included with guests' stays, which meant that I got to spend this easy, unstructured time with family and friends both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Those were some of the sweetest moments from the whole weekend!

Wedding June 7th, 2025 weekend

Our wedding weekend at RT Lodge was truly magical—an absolute dream come to life. From the very beginning, Ali and her incredible team were attentive, organized, and genuinely committed to making our vision a reality. Their attention to detail and warm professionalism made the entire planning process seamless and enjoyable.

The food was nothing short of phenomenal. The chefs went above and beyond—our guests are still raving about every bite! From the custom additions like cannolis and mini key lime pies to the late-night snack, every culinary touch was thoughtful and perfectly executed.

Ali ensured every detail was perfect, and because of her, I felt zero stress the entire weekend. I knew we were in the best hands. A special shoutout to Maria, who was the sweetest soul and truly made the day flow effortlessly. She made sure my husband and I were cared for every step of the way, always anticipating our needs before we even had to ask.

RT Lodge gave us the most unforgettable celebration and we are endlessly grateful. It was everything we dreamed of and more.

The property exceeds expectations and made our weekend even more special that all our family could be right there on property!

Winter Wedding at RT Lodge

We had a beautiful winter wedding at RT Lodge in December! It was such a wonderful venue to celebrate this special occasion for our daughter! It was so relaxing to know that all the final details were taken care thru our wedding planner, Ali, and all the professional staff at RT Lodge! I would highly recommend this venue for any occasion especially a wedding! The food is amazing and service is top notch for any event!

Excellence in Venue, Catering, Bar, and staff!

I had the pleasure of having our son and daughter-in-law's wedding at RT Lodge in Knoxville, Tennessee, and it was truly a magical experience (April 2022). From the moment I arrived, I was impressed with the warm hospitality of the staff. Ali Johnson and her team were professional and well-versed in the wedding process, and they made sure that all of our needs were exceeded. Ali had tremendous insight into the function spaces, the need for a ceremony tent or not (she is better than the local weather forecaster), and her contacts are professional and of the highest caliber. Her team (including Director of Sales Katie and Catherine and others) solved a huge last-minute problem we had with our bus contractor (that we booked separately) and saved both the Rehearsal Dinner and the Wedding. They were with us and onsite to assure the greatest success of the Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding Ceremony & Reception, and Brunch, and were even seen at the Hilton which we used for the overflow of guests.

Our family and friends are STILL talking about the amazing dinner both Friday night and Saturday night (each over 200 guests). The food was absolutely delicious-even better than individual dinners we had previously had on site. The chef, Trevor Stockton prepared a variety of seasonally fresh, locally sourced culinary delights that were perfect for our special events customized and amazing. We had a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts that were all cooked to perfection and he accommodated special dietary needs with precision and flavorful options. Everyone in attendance was raving about the food. The servers worked so hard and were trained in the proper style for a formal event. The bar and staff were spectacular as well. Seriously, Mark Hawkins leads the hard-working and sincerely smiling staff making each event special and enjoyable.

The venue itself was stunning and Jeff Hooper and his team were freshening up the property and landscape. The property, hiking trails, drive, and woods surrounding it make it a special escape that you do not have to drive too far to enjoy. It was particularly stunning for the photographs. Spring flowers were just opening and the front lawn and drive made a special area for the Rehearsal Dinner, the wedding was on the lawn, while the wedding party was under their Sperry Tent. The general decor was lodgey, verdantly simple yet elegant, and it was the perfect backdrop for our wedding. The firepit and s'mores were a big gathering spot as well as the back patio by the pond. The staff went out of their way to make sure that everything was set up perfectly and I have never seen a harder working crew! I think Charlie is in charge of that team. The rebuilt bar had not yet opened but some of the extended patio space was available and their construction area was screened beautifully (and the bar was easy to find, well-stocked, and friendly).

We had a full buyout of the property for the weekend. We used one building of accommodations for the immediate families and the other was for all the bride and groom's wedding party, friends, and over 21-year-old family members (It was a little like a 20/30-something dorm over there.) I am happy that some room updates are planned as they could use more light and a freshening up of the bathroom space and closets. The beds were comfortable and everything was impeccably clean.

Thanks to the front desk Lucibeth, Elizabeth, and Zane who were constantly friendly and helpful.

Overall, our experience at RT Lodge was unforgettable. The staff was professional and attentive, the food was delicious, and the venue was simply stunning. I would highly recommend RT Lodge to anyone looking for a unique and special experience for their wedding.

Amazing wedding experience

I can not begin to capture everything about our past wedding weekend that RT Lodge made special for us, but here are some of the top things that wow'd our guests:

Food - amazing ("best wedding food we have ever eaten")
Ceremony location on the winding road - a forest cathedral that was dreamily romantic
Venue - intimate gathering spot for 100 of our closest family and friends that encouraged mixing and laughter (s'mores around the firepit, anyone?)
Incredibly responsive and gracious staff - A team that always looked to find a way to get to yes. They consistently delighted us in the planning stage and our guests on the weekend.

The weekend was everything we could have hoped for - and we recommend RT Lodge unreservedly. (Mother of the Bride)

The most special place to get married

RT does it all! They bring your vision to life, coordinating all the details. Ali, Katie, Trevor, Mark - the whole team, listens to understand what you are looking for and exceeds your expectations. Being able to have all your favorite people on the property and no out side guests is a huge added bonus. And the Sperry tent is gorgeous! Thanks for RT for the best weekend!

The Best Wedding Venue - Great Coordinators and Food - If you want a magical wedding this is it.

RT Lodge is the most incredible place. The staff are amazing, and the food is incredible. We had our wedding at the lodge, and our guests still tell us we had the best wedding food they've ever had! The wedding coordinators were fantastic and made us feel like we were right at home, and we were always sure that our vision would be executed perfectly!

Perfect venue

Our wedding at RT Lodge was magical! Staff members thoughtfully and professionally attended to every detail throughout the entire process. They went beyond our expectations to ensure our wedding was exactly what we had hoped it would be. When we had to postpone our original wedding date due to the pandemic, RT took care of rescheduling all of our vendors. They even offered to coordinate a small private ceremony on their property so we could exchange our vows on our original date. RT Lodge is truly the ideal venue for hosting the perfect wedding. We feel so fortunate to have been able to have had our wedding at RT Lodge…they helped us create memories that will last a lifetime!

Magical Wedding

I cannot thank the team at RT Lodge enough for their dedication, patience, attentiveness, and hospitality. We had the most magical wedding weekend thanks to RT Lodge! We had to postpone our wedding due to covid-19. Katie and Ali took the stress out of postponing and arranged all of our vendors for our new June 2021 date. The planning process was seamless thanks to Katie and Ali. They both go above and beyond to assist with vendors, questions, food, details, etc. On the day of our wedding, Ali even helped to remove dirt spots from the bottom of my wedding dress. They are amazing! Additionally, we can't thank both Ali and Katie enough for helping us find the best vendors to work with. Our vendors transformed the sperry tent into our dream reception. Our family and friends could not stop talking about the food at both our rehearsal dinner and reception. Chef Trevor Stockton is such a huge asset to the team at RT Lodge. The food does not disappoint! Additionally, it was so special having all of our family and friends in one place throughout the entire weekend. They loved feeling comfortable with the rooms and convenience of RT Lodge. We are so happy to have found this beautiful, secluded spot in the woods. RT Lodge will always hold a special place in our hearts!

A beautiful wedding celebration weekend!!

RT Lodge made our wedding celebration the most magical, beautiful and memorable experience. The planning team at RT could not have been more helpful, understanding, and simply a joy to work with. Our wedding was initially scheduled during the height of COVID. Katie and Ali worked with us to seamlessly move everything we had planned for May 2020 to May 2021, and took so much of the stress out of it. They made planning the celebration fun, from the menu, to the events over the weekend, and down to the smallest detail. We ended up having a small wedding in May 2020 at our church and then our wedding celebration in May 2021 at RT Lodge. Ali and Katie worked with us to turn our celebration into exactly what we wanted, a joyful occasion for us to celebrate safely with family and friends. Ali and Katie are creative and brought a lot of ideas and their impressive experience to planning the celebration. The food during our wedding celebration weekend was wonderful. We had been to the Lodge many times for dinner and have always loved Chef Trevor’s seasonal menu, but the ability of RT to make such delicious food for a crowd of people, without any delay or hiccup, is amazing. The staff was so careful to accommodate allergies and dietary needs and worked with us to create an ideal menu. We got so many compliments from our guests. Our guests, many of whom were from out of town, could not believe how great RT Lodge is, and so convenient, only minutes from the airport, Maryville and just a few minutes more to downtown Knoxville and the mountains. The grounds are beautiful. We were there in late May, with gorgeous weather, but we have also been there in February in not so great weather and the Lodge is equally beautiful, cozy and warm. I knew that if the weather was less than optimal, the staff would have still made the wedding beautiful and memorable. Also, the benefit of having all of your guests around for the entire weekend cannot be stressed enough. RT provides the ideal venue to spend quality time with family and friends instead of running around to different venues. Our kids were also extremely entertained with corn hole, ping pong and lawn jenga available to guests. We cannot recommend enough having your wedding at RT Lodge. You will be well taken care of and your guests will be amazed at this little piece of paradise.

A Magical Weekend

My husband and I got married at RT Lodge last November and it was truly magical. My family and friends are constantly telling me how much they enjoyed their weekend here! We wanted a wedding venue where all of our people could gather together for a few fun days, and the Lodge was just the perfect place.

I have SO many good things to say about the Lodge, but honestly the best part about it is the staff. They treated us (and still treat us) like family. From handwritten notes and fresh baked cookies waiting upon our arrival, to sending me flowers when our dog passed away, they are all so kind and catered to our every need. Ali, Katie, Brandi, Chef Trevor, and the rest of the RT Lodge team personalize your wedding/event weekend to be exactly what you want. The staff members are incredibly gracious, friendly, and always smiling.

In terms of the Lodge itself, it is just magical. It’s quaint quarters are decorated with cozy plaids, layered with textures, and every room is it’s own special nook. Outside, the patio and grounds boast fairytale lights, a cozy fire pit, a beautiful koi pond, hiking trails, and the most glorious winding road (where we held our wedding ceremony).

While I could go on forever about this perfect place, I simply just have to say that it is lovely. RT Lodge is southern elegance at its finest. My husband and I are counting down the days until we can return for a weekend!

The Most Amazing Wedding Venue

MAGICAL. That is the best word to describe the entire weekend at RT Lodge. It was the perfect place to have a weekend celebration and they took care of every detail from start to finish.
First, the planning process was enjoyable and the team took all of the stress off of us. They even helped navigate during COVID and helped coordinate with all vendors for us. We had to postpone twice, but they made it the easiest process it could be! We had so much fun at every planning meeting and they made it seem less!
Once the big weekend came we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Everything was planned out to the minute and they thought of details we would have never dreamed of. The experience was surreal and absolutely perfect! It was wonderful to have the entire place to ourselves! The staff made us feel like royalty and anticipated our every want!
One thing I have to mention is the food. It is truly the best food we have ever had. There is not a bad thing on the menu. Every guest raved about it and chef Trevor accommodated our ideal menu as well as dietary restrictions for a family member. Everything we have ever eaten at the lodge is amazing! Since our first planning meeting the lodge has become our special spot to go eat whenever there is a celebration! That is the only downside of this place, you WILL become addicted to the food and no other restaurant will taste as good!
I cannot recommend enough to plan your wedding at RT Lodge. The staff becomes family and you will be well taken care of! I would go through the process over and over again (even with being a COVID bride) just to get to spend more time with their amazing team! I urge anyone planning a wedding to just go there and see for themselves, and no other venue will compare!

Idyllic venue, wonderful people

Where do I even begin? RT Lodge enabled us to have the most beautiful, intimate, and unforgettable wedding weekend. When we started wedding planning, we knew we wanted outstanding food, a place where we could be together with our guests for a weekend, and somewhere dog friendly. The lodge provides all of that and much more. We found the lodge on a whim and traveled to spend a weekend and discuss wedding planning. It was the first and only venue we visited. The lodge is amazingly beautiful and speaks for itself, but it's the team that makes every stay and celebration a memorable one. We can't express our appreciation for their sincerity and transparency as we navigated wedding planning during COVID. They made sure we could pull off a safe celebration while also preparing various options if we needed to postpone. Our wedding weekend was truly perfect. The weather was iffy but the backup plans were just as wonderful as our original options. We were all able to be fully present and enjoy the weekend without worrying about anything. Katie and her team seamlessly coordinated every detail, helped with literally all things (including bustling my dress), and made sure I was smiling the entire time. Guests raved about the food (quality, presentation, timing - everything - Trevor is amazing!), genuine hospitality, and relaxing mindset you adopt when spending time at the lodge. If anything went wrong during our weekend, we still don't know about it! We are forever grateful and we truly cannot wait for our next visit!

Amazing Experience

RT Lodge was a dream wedding venue and couldn't have been more perfect. The staff is extremely helpful and cuts out all of the stress of planning. Everything is onsite which made planning extremely easy as they also help to coordinate with vendors. The venue itself is beautiful and cozy. The food is insanely good and Chef Trevor makes any accommodations you need. I had a few guests with food allergies and they went out of their way to make sure everyone was taken care of. They also work with you for anything you need; you will not lift a finger on the day of! It was an overall great experience and we will definitely be back!

Cozy Wooded Wedding Getaway

I don't think there could have been a more perfect place for our wedding. Katie Stinnett and the RT team kept everything on track and helped plan the majority of our wedding while we were in the middle of chaos, trying to move from Chicago to Tennessee, get new jobs and plan a wedding in less than a year. Our guests were blown away by the food and the venue. The experience felt more like a weekend getaway for our friends and family than a one night event. I am so grateful to them and I'll look back on our wedding photos knowing we choose the perfect place. They also made us feel at home when we were new to town.

First Class Wedding Venue

Highly impressed with every aspect of RT Lodge. It went beyond our expectations. We would choose RT Lodge all over again for my daughters May wedding. Their attention to all the details and to orchestrating a seamless event is outstanding. My objective was to be present and enjoy the entire weekend and because we had such professional planners at RT Lodge that’s exactly what happened. It was amazing and our guests loved their time there as well. The facilities were in perfect condition, the food for the entire weekend was top notch and the staff was continually accommodating and in the background waiting on us hand and foot. Captured our heart forever

Wow, wow and Wow! RT Lodge is truly a magical place! My husband and I hosted our daughters wedding in April. From the planning, to the on site visits, every aspect of the process was seamless. RT Lodge knows how to make what can be a very stressful process so easy! The staff takes the time to personally know you and your needs and exceeds all expectations. The venue is intimate, romantic and just breathtaking. The food...oh my goodness! The food is served so beautifully and the quality is outstanding! If you are a foodie, you will be in heaven. My daughter summed it up best...it was the best weekend of her life. RT Lodge you captured our hearts forever!

We were married here April 2018 and it was truly an incredible experience. We were looking for a venue in which both of our families and friends could come and stay onsite for the entire weekend and we fell quickly in love with RT Lodge. Having everyone stay onsite made the logistics of the weekend easy and we got to spend more quality time with our guests.

The food was incredible! Breakfast is included for all guests each morning and Chef Trevor Stockton really outdid himself for all of our dinners.

Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful but the staff were always willing to lend a helping hand - going over and beyond good service. For example: The wait staff carried a large farmhouse table down a steep flight of stairs so that the families could eat dinner outside (and enjoy the great weather) Thursday night before the wedding. The wedding coordinators saw I was stressed about finishing favor bags and they took them back to the main lodge and finished stuffing and tying bows for me! One of my bridesmaid's ordered a cab to the airport that never showed up, so one of the maid's drove her to the airport so she wouldn't miss her flight home.

It's such a special place and we will always be grateful to the kind staff that helped make our wedding weekend unforgettable.

We got married here in May! Our day was magical and everything went perfectly thanks to the help of the lodge staff. The setting is pure perfection. The food was AMAZING! We loved having our wedding here and still love to go back and eat at the restaurant.

I really don't have words that can articulate what RT Lodge means to my husband and me. We got estimates from over 100 vendors from around the world, literally, and none of them compared to RT Lodge. We were searching for a magical little oasis in a wooded setting where our friends and family could hang out for a weekend retreat, plus Michelin-worthy food, with a great planner and a central location for our destination wedding. RT Lodge delivered that and so much more. We were treated like royalty on our site visit and completely fell in love with the grounds, our planner, Katie Stinnett, Chef Trevor Stockton, the extremely kind General Manager, Gary, and everyone else at the lodge. We had tricky logistics for our wedding (got married down a lane in the woods), and tricky weather. We found out rain would hit sporadically throughout the day, and RT Lodge, made sure that all of our guests and vendors would be onsite and completely ready over an hour early! They rearranged cocktail hour seamlessly as well. My planner, Katie, also sneakily found, stored and installed an art installation that I had been desperate to have for the wedding tent! Our guests are now also obsessed with RT Lodge. It's a magical, addicting place in the tiny town of Maryville, Tennessee with the very best employees, and it beat out everyone from France, Italy, California, New York and Florida.

The RT Lodge was the perfect wedding venue. It was like having our own private luxury estate for the entire weekend. From the time of our first visit several months before the wedding until the last guest left on Sunday following the wedding, everything was perfection. Katie Stinnett and the staff were amazing to work with during the entire process. Every detail was taken care of. The food for the bridal luncheon, the rehearsal dinner, the breakfasts, cocktail hour and wedding dinner was exceptional; and our guests loved being able to stay on the property for the entire weekend. Many guests commented that it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended. Thank you RT Lodge for helping to create a dream wedding.

Having our wedding weekend at RT Lodge was the best decision ever! These people were outstanding. Not only did they handle every request with professionalism, they anticipated our needs and were ready to fulfill them. Their coordination of the actual wedding was done with military precision. All we had to do was make sure the "I dos" were said at the right time!

One of the nice features about this venue is that your guests can stay on property at the Lodges which have really nice accommodations. It is nice to have family and friends share in your special day and not have to travel back and forth. You can do it all at RT Lodge from the wedding ceremony, reception and other special events you may be hosting. You can relax outside and enjoy the gardens and the fire pit at night and cook marshmallows. The venue offers some of the best scenic opportunities for great wedding photos. The chef prepared food was incredible and our guests had rave reviews. The RT floral staff did the flowers and they were perfect - from decorating our Trellis to tablescapes and flowers for the bride and attendants. I can't say enough about the RT Lodge and their commitment to service excellence. I highly recommend this venue. Our expectations for an outstanding event were exceeded by the staff. Everything was PERFECT!

“I feel like this has been a little taste of Heaven being surrounded by our family and friends in this magical place. I will NEVER forget this!” This was part of a thank you note from my daughter to my husband and me about her wedding at the RT Lodge. I agree with her wholeheartedly.

I never thought it was wise to spend so much on a wedding when the money could be used for other more “practical” things. Our experience at the RT changed my mind entirely. It was, as they say in the Mastercard commercial, “priceless”.

It was not just a wedding. It was an entire weekend in a beautiful environment with friends and family and a staff that made us feel like an honored guest/friends at their home. Alex, Katie and the entire staff made sure everything was perfect beyond what we could have ever expected without us feeling any stress at all. Just tell them what you want, and they make it happen.

We loved the experience there so much that when our youngest daughter got engaged a month later, there was no question about where to have the wedding. Instead of worrying about the cost we were extremely excited to get to go back and do it all over! Once again it was “magical”.

We love the RT Lodge as it holds so many of our family’s most precious memories. After two weddings there, we feel like part of their family.

RT Lodge was the absolute perfect place to for my husband and I to get married and spend quality time with our loved ones without any stress! The Lodge, guest houses, and grounds are breathtaking and resort-like. The staff felt as if they were part of our family they were so accommodating and willing to help out in any way to ensure not only David and I had the perfect weekend, but that our friends and family enjoyed their visit as well! Katie and Katelyn were always one step ahead of us with everything throughout the weekend, and it was such a relief knowing everything was taken care of. RT Lodge was the best decision we made when planning our wedding. My husband and I were able to relax knowing that everything was right on track for the Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding Day. They streamlined the planning process answering questions quickly, accommodating changes and special requests, and helping us wrangle all of the vendors. We had our ceremony and reception at RT Lodge and we absolutely loved it! It is an absolutely gorgeous wedding venue. We had the entire lodge for the weekend. The staff were absolutely amazing. They did anything and everything for us to make our special day less stressful. It was honestly the most perfect day and a lot of that is attributed to the service provided by RT Lodge. We can honestly say it was the best day of our lives! The food was to die for!!!! All of our guest loved the wedding and continued to compliment how exquisite the venue and the food was. I can absolutely say that our wedding weekend would not have been the dream weekend we'd hoped it would be if we had chosen to have it ANYWHERE ELSE. We have an abundance of stunning venues near our home in Nashville but chose to host our friends and family 3 hours away in Maryville at RT Lodge because of the ease of having everyone in one place for the entire weekend. The welcome dinner was fabulous, breakfasts were tasty and our family-style dinner reception was delicious and exactly what we'd discussed with Chef Stockton. Katie was a dream to work with and every single staff member went above and beyond to make our weekend perfect. I'm an event planner and my expectations are high but they repeatedly exceeded my best case scenarios. We are so grateful to the RT Lodge family for executing the best weekend of our lives!

My husband and I wanted somewhere where we could bring our families together and get to know each other better. I am from England and my husband has a huge family from all over the U.S. so the guest list included lots of people who had never met until the wedding. It couldn't have been more magical. We had our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception at the lodge.
I'll start with the food. I have never had such amazing food at a wedding. Ever. Every person we spoke to said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Amazing food. Worth every penny!! We are foodies and we were so impressed. Next, the staff. ALL the staff were unbelievable. They went above and beyond to make us happy. I was unhappy with my flowers and they did everything they could to fix them, even though I used an outside vendor. They took care of everything! I really couldn't have asked for more from them. Alex, Jennifer, Katie, and Max were all wonderful to work with and made us feel special and at ease the whole weekend. The venue sells itself. It was absolutely stunning.
Overall, I had so many people tell me it was the best wedding they had ever been to - the venue & the food especially. We are SO GLAD we chose RT Lodge and can't thank everyone enough for the most perfect day!

There is absolutely no way I can say enough wonderful things about the RT Lodge in an online review. From the moment I set foot on the property, I knew that this was where I had to be married. The main lodge smells subtly of patchouli and cigars, and is the coziest place I've ever seen. Large armchairs and couches greet you with rows upon rows of books. After booking the Lodge, we began working with their coordinator, Alex, who is an absolute god-send. I'm not the world's most decisive person, but she took my ideas and ran with them for our cake, flowers, and seating ideas. We had a rental company come in and do some decorating, but the Lodge staff was more than happy to help them set up and make sure everything was as perfect as it could possibly be. They even went so far as to keep up with our special toasting glasses for the evening - every time I turned around, there was a staff member asking if I needed anything or just checking in to make sure everything was going ok. I felt like a queen for the day - if I mentioned needing or wanting something, I didn't have to even consider how to get it done on my own, it was done for my by the time I turned around. Alex and Katie were amazing at coordinating the details of our ceremony, they lined everyone up, made sure the DJ got the music going as it was supposed to - all I had to do was prepare myself for the big walk down the aisle! Katie even walked with us bringing us water or champagne (or whatever we needed/wanted) as our photographer was working with us after the ceremony. I had no worries whatsoever once I stepped across the threshold of that place. The food is a story all of it's own. My husband and I are HUGE foodies and were really looking forward to dinner from Chef Stockton. We knew it wouldn't disappoint, but we were absolutely amazed at the food he delivered. It is beyond words.
Basically, impeccable service all around - The RT Lodge surpassed all of our expectations in every way.

Had a wonderful wedding day at RT lodge. The entire staff bent over backwards to help make it exactly how I imagined. It was absolutely a beautiful experience from beginning to end, and if I could get married again tomorrow at the lodge I would do it all over again. The outside and the inside of this venue are breathtaking and the food is the best wedding food you will ever put in your mouth! What a lovely night! Would recommend this to any other Bride looking to have a magical wedding day at a venue that does so much to make it exactly what you pictured. RT staff helped with everything from menus, signs, putting on cake flowers, finding me a flower girl basket because we forgot ours, to helping me get my garter to stay on! Awesome staff! I wish I could get married at RT Lodge all over again just because it was absolutely the best weekend of my life! Not only was it incredible having all our friends and family staying in one location, but having exclusive use of the lodge made it feel like our own private retreat. The staff is two steps ahead of you in making sure you are happy, comfortable, and well-fed. :) All of our out-of-town guests have continuously asked how they could come back and stay there, and friends of ours from all over have said they wish they could have a destination wedding at the lodge after staying there and attending our wedding. And the food all weekend is still being talked about!! I can't imagine having our wedding in any other location, and after years in the wedding industry I feel we can definitely say this is one of the most professional, relaxing, and cozy places we have ever stayed!

The team at RT Lodge created a wedding weekend that was better than perfect. Several professional meeting/event planners were in attendance (including the bride), and we all heaped effusive praise on the venue, the surroundings, the food, the staff and the attention to detail. Alex, Jennifer, Ellis, Jenny, Max, Gary and the whole team put together a flawless weekend for our families. For the level of service we, and all our guests, enjoyed, RT Lodge is an incredible value. When you go to RT Lodge you feel like you are so far away from it all, yet it is very close to all that Maryville has to offer. The grounds are so relaxing, the wooded ceremony site is perfection and the permanent tent looks like it is out of a storybook. I would highly recommend RT Lodge for your wedding!

My husband and I honestly drove away from our wedding saying how great everyone at RT Lodge was the entire weekend. Everyone on staff was amazing and provided such great service for us and for our guests most of whom stayed on the property. My Mom and I worked with Ellis throughout most of the planning and she was amazing particularly in helping us coordinate vendors from afar and accomidate little touches that we wanted (croquet on the lawn!). We held our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception at the Lodge and it was a wonderful experience for us and for our guests to be able to be together throughout the weekend. The food is incredible. Incredible. (It bears repeating). The rooms are great and there is a nice area specfically for the bridal party to get ready in as well. As for pictures, there is a plethora of areas on the grounds to choose from and the place is gorgeous year round.

Overall - service, food, planning, convenience, and location are all excellent. We could not be happier with our choice to have our wedding at RT Lodge.

I planned an outdoor wedding in Maryville, in May - the rainiest time of the year. My backup plan for rain was that it wasn't going to rain...clearly unrealistic. It poured! The staff at RT Lodge was unbelievably accommodating and made my wedding perfect. They did everything they could in order for us and our guests to be comfortable despite the weather. I worked mainly with Ellis as the wedding coordinator and she was incredibly friendly, helpful, and sweet. I was quite the picky bride and she answered all of my questions/requests VERY quickly and professionally. It didn't matter what the job title was at RT Lodge, EVERY single staff member was there to help however they could. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is even better. HIGHLY recommended!

RT Lodge is the absolute best place I could have ever imagined getting married. The location is the perfect setting for an intimate and personal wedding. The on site lodging makes for a great way to spend time with your guests throughout the entire weekend. Out of town guests were able to see how beautiful East Tennessee is. Also, I can't begin to talk about how wonderful the food is. The food for both my bridesmaids' luncheon and reception were some of the best food I've ever eaten. No wedding food has ever compared to it. Alex, the event coordinator, made the entire wedding planning process so easy. She took all of my tastes and preferences into consideration and helped coordinate everything so I didn't even have to do much! Exactly what I was looking for! She made our wedding such a personal reflection of mine and my husband's personalities and styles. Offering individual assistance and multiple consultations, the RT Lodge removed all the stress from wedding planning. My husband and I honestly did not have to worry about anything. Using the Lodge as a weekend retreat for our wedding, we really felt welcomed by the knowledgeable and accommodating staff. The fire pits and beautiful foliage set a rustic tone, while the spacious tent, gorgeous centerpieces (made at the Lodge), and delicious food created the classic atmosphere we desired. I highly recommend RT Lodge to any couples who are looking for an intimate, relaxed destination.

We used the RT Lodge as a gathering place for family and friends at our son's wedding. The rehearsal dinner was delicious. The setting was lovely with many places for guests of different ages to gather. The staff was wonderfully accommodating and any request was met with a smile and "we can do that."

As the mother of the groom, I cannot think of anything that could have made our weekend more special than staying at the RT Lodge. Our guests and the bridal party bemoaned the fact that they could not come back without another special event to celebrate.

We would happily do it again with RT Lodge's gracious help.

My groom and I wanted to find a location where we could have guests stay and not have to be driving all over town for the festivities. This location was the absolutely perfect place for our vision. The lodge is quaint and relaxing. Lots of space for guests to lounge and socialize between the gathering rooms in the lodge, to the porches and the fire pit. Alex and Ellis were so helpful in the planning and quick in communicating. On the day of, they were amazing, making sure every detail was in place and that the day ran smoothly. The entire staff at the lodge was accommodating throughout our stay and extremely friendly. A lot of our guests were not from the area and they have all said how fabulous Southern Hospitality is...thanks to the lodge. Finally, we must not forget the food. It was so delicious and unique. The chef is extremely talented and created a memorable menu for us and our guests. This is not your run of the mill banquet type location. This venue is exceptional in all ways and we are now trying to figure out how to host another event there. Thank you RT Lodge for making our wedding day so amazing!

She did not bat an eye when we asked her to arrange for a horse for the groom to ride on, and two days later we had a horse. the wedding day which till two days ago was supposed to have isolated thunderstorms, the night before predicted steady rain and the day of the wedding and so they arranged a tent for 200 people the day of the wedding. The food is delicious, cooked by a an amazing chef. the guests had a ball, the setting is very beautiful with nature walks, fire pits and koi ponds, the hotel seems cut-off from the rest of the world. the cleaning staff picked up the bride's room and put everything away neatly. great shuttle pick up from the airport and back. I recommend this a wedding and lodging location without no reservations.

RT Lodge is truly a unique setting with a professional team that makes planning and hosting a wedding a breeze. From the management team, to the serving staff, to the grounds keepers, and the housekeeping staff, RT Lodge is a cut above all other locations for a wedding event.

The whole atmosphere feels as if you have walked into a Ralph Lauren ad - classy, charming, and comfy, all at the same time.

Rt Lodge was the most perfect place to have a wedding and reception. The food was outstanding, the service was incredible and all the guests felt as if they had stepped into a very special place for the festivities. RT Lodge struck the perfect balence between making everyone feel cared for and right at home. I would highly recommend RT Lodge to anyone looking for a wedding location. It was ideal and I can't imagine having my wedding any place other than RT Lodge. It was truly perfect and that had everything to do with the awesome staff at RT Lodge.

Honestly, our wedding celebration at RT Lodge could not have been more perfect!!!
We deeply appreciated the attention and care that Gary, Emily, Alex, and every wonderful staff member showed to our wishes and those of our guests. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the service was impeccable. It was a treat to share the whole weekend with our loved ones from near and far who stayed at RT Lodge with us (and nobody else!). We enjoyed a family reunion as well as a wedding. RT Lodge's rustic elegance provided the perfect setting -- equally natural and magical. We enjoyed the emphasis on eco-friendly ways and "farm to table" food from morning through evening! We will cherish the memories and the many details that make those memories vividly real ... the fire pit with s'mores, blackberry mojitos, chilled melon soup served in baby mason jars, the trolley ride for our guests, gorgeous wildflowers, and the list goes on and on!

Normally when someone puts 5 Stars across the board it raises the question of how much thought was put into the response. In this case, I can not tell you how much thought has gone into reviewing our 4 day experience and how many letters of “thanks” we have received. So many have told me it was the most wonderful wedding experiance they have ever attended. In all honesty, hind-sight being 20/20, we wouldn’t have changed one thing. Emily was the most professional individual I have ever worked with and the entire staff was exceptional. I can’t say “Thank You” enough.

My (now)husband and I wanted to create a full weekend experience for our guests. We had guests coming from numerous locations on the east coast (predominantly Connecticut, New York, and Florida) as well as California. We'd been to too many weddings where we'd flown out for the wedding, ran from one location to another, and never really had a chance to catch up with all of the family members and friends we wanted to see! RT Lodge provided a lovely, relaxing place for our families and friends to connect (and reconnect). As I walked across the lodge grounds on Friday night, I saw many of our guests enjoying the rocking chairs and tables around the main house, and there wasn't an empty seat by the fire pit. All of the guests that I spoke with about the accommodations were in awe of how much our weekend was a relaxing vacation and party and not *just* a wedding!

The RT Lodge team was phenomenal. We were planning our wedding from California and had to do much of our planning via email and through a proxy (my mother, who lived in the area). Even as those minor hiccups occurred (and they will always occur), Alex would reassure us with a simple, "Don't worry about it, it'll be fine." Beyond fine, it was really just perfect. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire weekend.

One small note, we had a lot of vegetarians at our reception. If you have guests with special dietary needs, be sure to give the RT Lodge team a list of names and the table numbers for those guests so that staff can easily identify those guests and get their meals to them. We were asked at the beginning of the reception for a list of vegetarians and vegans, and we struggled to remember everyone on the spot!

The amount we spent includes a the ceremony site rental, exclusive use of the lodge, 3 rooms in addition to the ones provided for the bride and groom, a sit down dinner under the tent with 2 entrees, a cocktail hour, and beer/wine.

We couldn't be more happy that we choose RT Lodge for our Wedding Weekend!! Our family and friends traveled 6-7 hours and some even flew in for us, and it was priceless to see the smiles on their faces and hear all the great things they said about the RT Lodge. Ellis was a pleasure to work with, she answered the million emails I sent her and was so helpful and easy to get along with! I feel in love with the resort the first time I saw it...I knew this was the place where I could be proud to have all my 120 guest come stay and celebrate our big weekend! Everything went so smoothly with no bumps in the road, it was the wedding of my dreams!! The area is so beautiful, and it was so much fun to take our pictures through out the property. The convince RT Lodge offered for us who are not from the area was priceless, once we checked in on Thursday we didn't have to leave...we did our dress rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding pics, make up & hair in the beautiful bridal suite, and the reception all on site. Our guest were saying it was the best wedding they had ever been too, the convince of everything being right there was so helpful. Overall we had the time of our life and it will be a special memory we will have forever, and I thank RT Lodge for that!

The RT Lodge was the perfect venue for our wedding. We are so lucky to have such a place in our own backyard! As Maryville College grads, it was important to us to have our wedding on campus. The Lodge is then perfectly located in the campus woods to complete our wedding weekend! All of our family and friends had to travel (1-3 hours up to 7 hours away) for the wedding and the Lodge provided the perfect weekend reunion location. Alex was great to work with and wanted to meet all of our needs. The staff is open to trying anything and has seen everything -- I needed their expertise and didn't have to think twice about table set up, bar, food, anything. I will never forget coming back from Brackins after the rehearsal dinner to find our families having a GREAT time around the fire pit. No other location will facilitate this feeling of togetherness!

Our daughters Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding and Wedding Reception took place at RT Lodge the weekend of June 7th 2019. The Lodge and the surrounding property are stunning, resembling a magic garden. Plenty of quaint gathering spaces for family and friends and within 20 min of Knoxville or The Smokey Mts... I loved the rocking chairs by the huge fire-pit and the lovely covered back porch... The Lodge Staff were super accommodating with superior customer service skills. The Wedding planners were in- tune with EVERY wedding detail and way exceeded our expectations. They definitely were "the glue". Thanks so much Ali...... Huge kiddos to Chef Trevor for knocking it out of the ballpark. The food was truly delicious..
RT Lodge and its Staff provided and created an absolutely beautiful and genuinely memorable Wedding Weekend for ALL.. Our Hearts are Thankful...

Our wedding was perfect. The RT Lodge provided amazing food and wonderful service. Our contact was very responsive and willing to work with whatever I wanted. I had heard comments during the wedding that it was the best wedding food ever had and that it was the most beautiful wedding they ever attended.

The RT Lodge was wonderful. They provided us with everthing we needed and more and made a special effort to make sure everything was perfect. The staff helped manage all of my other vendors and printed our place cards and menus. The food and service was exceptional. I'm so glad we decided to have our wedding at the RT. Lodge.

From beginning to end, RT Lodge emphasized that they were there to make the day special in whatever way we wanted. They took our ideas and made them come to life, adding special touches to the decorations, menu and venue to even surprise us the day of the reception. Everyone made our guests feel as special as the bridge and groom, making the entire evening memorable for everyone. Every request we made to service staff and management throughout the evening was met with a smile and an enthusiasm to make us happy. It worked! One guest commented that they kept waiting for the "fairies" to make an appearance at the magical evening.

Alex was phenomenal to work with for our party at RT Lodge--she had thought through every last detail and was so incredibly acommodating! Our family and friends had the most wonderful time--thanks Alex and RT!
