He was phenomenal from start to finish. He was there super early to make sure everything was set up correctly. Nothing went wrong, everything was timed perfectly and I cannot believe how well it went. He kept the music going based on the crowd and had so many fun little things he added to the evening. We hired Roy for our December 2025 wedding, and let me tell you...he was AMAZING. He was so kind, intelligent, and talented! Leading up to the wedding, he was very transparent about his pricing and answered all our questions promptly. He listened to and executed our song preferences perfectly!!! Working with Roy was an exceptional experience from start to finish. DJ Roy was awesome! We hosted a German Polterabend for our son and his fiancee, and Roy did an amazing job of researching the traditions of the event and found the appropriate music. We were so lucky to have Roy from RoyMCProductions as our DJ for our wedding—he was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Communication was smooth and easy from the beginning. We started with emails and then had a Zoom call to go over his packages. Once we booked him, he provided a detailed form that helped guide us through all the songs we’d need, and even included suggestions to help with song selection. About a month before the big day, we had another meeting where he carefully reviewed our choices and asked thoughtful questions to ensure he completely understood our vision.
Roy went above and beyond on the day of the wedding. He helped us create a mock timeline in advance, which gave us a great sense of how everything would flow, and even suggested doing "table songs" for dismissing tables during dinner—something we ended up loving. He nailed the ceremony music timing and made sure all our special requests, including the Aggie War Hymn, were played. Most importantly, he kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. As a bonus, he recorded video clips of the whole wedding from his iPhone and made a short edited video for his social media page! We’d highly recommend Scottish Roy to anyone looking for a fun, reliable, and professional DJ who truly understands how to elevate a celebration.

Don’t think, just hire Roy!
Roy and EC entertainment came at the recommendation of my wedding coordinator. I was impressed by the prices and the add-ons to the DJ services (I got the photo camper).
Leading up to the Wedding, Roy made the planning process thorough but easy with his website and forms. The forms we filled out allowed us to choose a song for any and every situation throughout the wedding, add a playlist of songs we wanted played, add our guest’s song requests, and even describe how we wanted the entire wedding to flow. It was so helpful! And Roy nailed it- we got compliments on how good our music was! The dance floor was the place to be.
Roy was extremely professional, kind, and of course, entertaining! He knows what he’s doing. He rolled with the punches on wedding day and kept everything moving with a positive attitude. He was definitely one of our favorite vendors! I really recommend you hire Roy. You absolutely will not regret it.

The BEST DJ for our wedding
We found DJ Roy through our venue and we couldn't have been happier having him as our DJ. He was very informative during our initial meeting as my husband and I didn't know too much about the process nor do either of us dance. Roy was extremely professional, responsive, friendly and kind throughout our time working with him. He helped us through every step of planning our big day and worked with our on-site planner to ensure every minute of our wedding went smoothly from pre-ceremony to last dance. He also went above and beyond by taking on MC duties to make sure our attendees knew where to go and when, hosted dance floor games, helped our family prepare audio for speeches, facilitated the bouquet toss, and assisted our photographer in getting a group shot of all our wedding guests. My husband says Roy is a "human Swiss army knife" and "a man of many talents"!

So accommodating and wonderful experience
I had a very short amount of time planning my wedding (well in the wedding world) lol I did not have a wedding coordinator and DJ Roy sent over a pre timeline and was very easy to communicate with. Fast responses and very informational! Oh and the accent is top notch! Had a wonderful time at the wedding.

Best wedding dj in houston hands down!
I can't say enough amazing things about DJ Scottish Roy at our wedding! As an event planner myself, it was important to find a DJ who not only could play the best music, but who was also a great Emcee who could keep the reception flowing from start to finish. Roy delivered above and beyond what he promised. We had the best wedding and I never had to worry about a thing because Roy was on top of it. We got to meet with him twice before the wedding, which was nice as it helped us develop a great relationship before the big day. Roy is kind, organized, hilarious and AMAZING at his job! You can truly tell he loves what he does, and we've received endless compliments from our guests about how awesome our DJ was! I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone looking! He's wonderful and we can't thank him enough for being a part of our wedding!!

Amazing, Communication on Point
Roy was fantastic! He was readily available whenever we had questions regardless if it was 6 months out or 2 weeks out for the wedding. He would provide song samples and options whenever we needed something specific done like combining two songs. He reads the room so well which really helped when we weren’t sure what songs may flow better than others. And he was always on point with communication during the wedding. We absolutely loved him and highly recommend his services. He takes care of his wedding couple and their party. Thank you Roy!

The best of the best!
Hiring Roy was one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding day! He was always open to meet or Zoom to go over any questions or discuss things we were thinking about for our big day! He was so helpful and also gave us some great ideas to help our day flow well! Our guests all raved about him to us and told us how much they loved him! Everyone enjoyed the music and he continued to make announcements throughout the night so our guests always knew what was coming up and where to be! He played all of our must have songs and even accommodated one our guests surprise karaoke performance dedicated to us (it was approved by us from him beforehand as well which we appreciated)! He checked in with us throughout the night and helped keep our night on schedule! He was super flexible whenever we needed to wait on certain things and would make last minute announcements I wanted as well!! Hire Roy if you want to work with an amazing vendor who is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and you want your guests to rave about your DJ after your wedding! He is the best!

DJ Roy was amazing!
Mr. Roy was above and beyond to what we wanted in a dj. He was super attentive and listened to any suggestion my wife and I had. Also very good at grouping music together and super fun and friendly. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a lively, fun dj for their event.

Best DJ Ever
DJ Roy did an absolutely wonderful job at our wedding! The document he provides in planning sets you up with everything you need to be prepared. He was always timely when answer emails & questions in the planning process as well. He has the perfect energy for DJing a wedding, and of course has a great Scottish accent. He followed our schedule exactly, and was extremely flexible when things needed to be adjusted a bit. We also chose to rent the photo booth and video quest book through him. I recommend both! His wife does a great job running the photo booth and they make you a cute little photo book with the images (as well as sending you digital copies). I loved watching the guestbook-video. It’s so sweet to see the people you care about giving you their well wishes and we’ll have that video forever. I recommend DJ Scottish Roy 10/10! He’s the DJ you want!

Reliable. Professional. Wonderful DJ.
DJ Roy was--by far--the most professional and competent vendor we worked with for our wedding. From our two pre-event Zoom calls and multiple emails exchanged, we trusted he would do what he said. He did exactly that, listened to what we wanted, and adjusted his plans to meet our wedding-day requests. On the day of the wedding, DJ Roy kept the party going, read the crowd, and never missed a beat. He even made time to privately check in with us, during cocktail hour, as soon as the ceremony concluded.
Roy did what he promised, and continually over-delivered. During our reception, he suggested two "ideas" for things to do: a group hug from the bridal party (as soon as we entered as Mr. & Mrs.), and a picture with every table in only one song. These two unplanned suggestions turned out to be some of the most memorable--for my wife and I, as well as EVERYONE we talked to. After all was said and done, DJ Roy surprised us with an Instagram video he created that recapped our wedding; we will forever cherish this video and his thoughtfulness.
Suffice to say, we cannot give DJ Roy a higher recommendation. He was consistent, a man of integrity, and over-delivered.

By far best dj ever! Goes above and beyond!
If you're looking for a DJ look no further! Scottish Roy is the absolute BEST!! We saw him do our friends wedding and when it was our turn to get married we knew we wanted him to do ours as well! He had our friends and family dancing ALL night, so much so that the floor was shaking! Our videographer told us that she had videoed other weddings and never had a dance floor as energetic and active as ours! Not only was Scottish Roy able to keep our guests dancing the whole night, but he was also amazing throughout the entire wedding process. My husband and I wanted to do a ceremony run-through early that day before the wedding and he came early to set-up and make sure everything was in place to do the run-through. He was never upset by requests and was patient with how long our ceremony run-through took. It actually felt as though he had been our friend for many years and was simply there to celebrate our big day with us! We felt so loved by our DJ! He even went above and beyond and created a highlight video of our wedding which was a sweet surprise! He is by far the entire DJ package and then some! He is patient, flexible, responsive, energetic, understanding and excited in all the right ways! So happy we got him to do our wedding! I promise your friends will be talking about your DJ after your wedding and I can guarantee it will all be GREAT things if you book it with Scottish Roy!!

Amazing DJ
DJ Scottish Roy was fun, had a great sound system, kept our wedding running on time, worked great with the photographers, and kept everyone entertained. His spirited personality kept the environment light hearted throughout the whole night. He even put together a little video overview of our wedding, free of charge. If you are looking for a DJ, just stop here he is amazing!

He’s the BEST!
The best. Seriously. He was the emcee and the DJ. He was such a good emcee that my friends actually thought he worked at the venue!
The music was great, too. People of all ages were dancing and having a good time.
He had all these unique ideas for ways to make the wedding fun and get people laughing. Hire him!

Keeps the Party Going
DJ services were included with our venue package and we were provided with a couple of DJs to choose from. We knew immediately that we wanted to work with the helpful Scottish man that was so kind on our first venue tour. He noticed us looking a bit lost, guided us to where we needed to be, and cracked a joke that actually made us laugh. We scheduled a video call with Roy about a year before our wedding and he was completely helpful! He provides a spreadsheet for you to assign songs to specific events, detail the timeline, and create a playlist. We took things a bit too far by providing at least 75 songs for our playlist (just to give him an idea of what we like.) We didn't expect him to play all of those songs, or stick to that playlist, BUT HE DID! A lot of DJs will read the crowd and play music that pleases the crowd (and hosts sometimes find themselves listening to music they don't enjoy.) DJ Scottish Roy plays your preferred songs. He does some extra things like a couples dance to find the longest married couple and asks them for advice for the newlyweds, he takes a big picture of the reception group, and he creates a video short to share on social media. He even tracked me down during the event to inquire if he could play a requested song since it was of a genre we requested not be played. DJ Scottish Roy is an amazing vendor to work with and I will be sure to book him if he's still working when we're ready for our 10-year vow renewals! :)

Amazing work!
DJ Roy made our night so amazing. He brought just the right amount of energy that we wanted. He did such a good job keeping everything transitioning smoothly. A Class Act!

Amazing, Talented, Fun
We are so happy to have had DJ Roy as our DJ for our wedding. He was absolutely wonderful and made sure that everything ran smoothly! He came early to set up all the sound equipment for the ceremony and reception, which had perfect sound with no issues. He kept everyone at the wedding dancing throughout the whole night! The photo booth was a huge hit. It was a great party and I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for an amazingly talented DJ!

Amazing! Personable! Tailored experience!
Roy was phenomenal! There was not a worry in the world from the start of the wedding ceremony to the last dance. Roy made our wedding so meaningful. He had this shoe game that helped pass dinner along and allowed the crowd to get to know us even better and laugh a lot. We added on the photo booth, and our guests LOVED it! He sent us the digital copies of the photo booth, as well as a photo album where our guests could sign a message to us! He even shot a video of our big day on his phone, and sent it to us a few days later! He definitely went above and beyond to make sure our day was as special as could be. Would DEFINITELY recommend!!

100% Fantastic DJ Service
If you are looking to bring the best vibes to your big day, then Roy is your man. From beginning to end, it felt like a dream. We wanted our celebration to be a big party with lots of dancing, and Roy got it started with an excellent selection of songs - a good blend of our suggestions and his intuition. The glue that holds the party together!
I was on the fence about hiring a DJ, I had flashbacks to middle school dances and didn't want that vibe for my wedding. My mom convinced me that it would be nice to not have to put the responsibility of running music and making announcements on a family member.
Roy was definitely one of the best decisions we made, he really helped keep the event running smoothly and adjusting the schedule as we needed. He filled the gaps when my corridinator dropped the ball. He kept the even running smoothly and has the perfect personality for this job. He provided several ideas for activities throughout the event that I had not heard of before hand. He even made a cute video of the events of the evening. He appeased my concerns of the middle school dance vibe and definitely delivered on that, his set up was very clean and wedding appropriate. One of my bridesmaids even hired him for her wedding 😁.

Roy was perfect from beginning to end! He made sure that all questions and concerns we had were taken care of. He listened to our ideas, and gave us some suggestions to enhance our big day. Fast forward to our reception, and he brought the energy to get everyone participating in the dancing and other events we had during our reception. There is no other DJ I would have had in charge of our big day. I recommend Scottish Roy for any event, and he will make it an event to remember!

DJ Roy was awesome!!!! Like above and beyond what we thought he would do. He gets to know you and your partner and really listens to what you want. Best reception ever thanks to Roy!
Booking DJ Roy for our wedding reception at the Heights Villa was the best decision we made throughout all of wedding planning. Roy helped us plan our timeline for the reception in the weeks leading up to our wedding… and then helped us toss it out the window and still throw the best party ever when wedding party arrived to the reception a half hour late! We didn’t have a wedding planner and didn’t need one with Roy, whose MC skills were top notch. From adjusting to the delayed timeline, to keeping the crowd engaged while waiting, to knowing just the right recommended songs to slide in at the request of our attendees to make for a magical evening, Roy does it all. When the time came for the last song, people were still dancing and having so much fun that we ended up adding an extra hour to our reception at the last minute, and Roy took it completely in stride. He might have been even happier than we were to keep the party going! He was great at reading the crowd and knew just what to play to keep the energy going. The only time the dance floor was empty was when my husband and I were having our first dance together. If you are planning a wedding look no further than DJ Roy for your entertainment needs!

Unbelievable DJ
Roy is the most incredible DJ you'll find. He is an genuinely good person and a master of his craft. At our wedding he he went above and beyond to make the night special - every guest I've talked to since has raved about him unprompted. Excellent DJ
Roy was recommended to us thru the vendor and we loved having him as our DJ after our initial talk we were both excited to hear all the neat stuff he does during the wedding. On the day of he was so down to earth and easy to talk to, very accommodating to us and made the party so much fun!! Glad we had him as our DJ.

Look no further - book with dj roy!
We hired DJ Roy from the first moment we met him because we KNEW he was 'the one'! When we mentioned our LOTR theme, he asked about wearing his own kilt! Heck yeah! He has SUCH a warm and approachable personality, great energy, a beautiful accent, and he LOVES to get the crowd going! The process was easy from the day we booked up until the day of the wedding! We communicated via email and text. We met with Roy in person to go over music questions and selections, then he passed over an excel spreadsheet to specify music tastes for ceremony, intro songs, etc. The day of the wedding, Roy was punctual and VERY engaging with the crowd and wedding party. He showed up a few hours early to get set-up and meet with our wedding group. During announcements, he put on a good show and had the party laughing and having a great time! He even went the extra mile and we saw him taking photos, mingling with guests, and having fun! After the wedding, I had people asking me who the DJ was because he was that fantastic! If I have any future events needing a DJ, I know I'll be able to count on Roy to give us an unforgettable party!

Amazing!
Dj Roy was amazing we love how he becomes one with the crowd. He let my wife and I know what was next at the reception he found all the people without our help who was going to make a speech or say a prayer at dinner I could not have asked for a better DJ we want to thank you for making our day special.

Cannot go wrong with Roy
You and your new spouse cannot go wrong with Roy. He’s professional, but oh so much fun. Not only did he keep the dance floor going all night, but he’s also a multitasker - taking pictures and videos all night long. Out of all of vendors, he was the easiest decision we made from the start and we’re extremely happy with how the night went. Thank you Roy!

DJ Scottish Roy was phenomenal, he went above and beyond with everything. From the ceremony, MC, reception, and the amazing photo booth I could not have been happier. He also made sure the music kept everyone up and going to have the best time. He definitely makes it special and makes sure everything is going the way you want it. Absolutely Amazing DJ
I am so happy that I was able to have DJ Roy as my DJ for my wedding on 2/26/2021! He was absolutely wonderful and made sure that everything ran smoothly! He came early to set up all the sound equipment for the ceremony and reception, which had perfect sound with no mic issues. I cannot stress enough how seamless and smooth everything ran! DJ Roy also played all the songs that I wanted and was sure to not play any songs on my do not play list. He kept everyone at the wedding dancing throughout the whole night! It was an absolute party and I would recommend him to anyone that is looking for an amazingly talented DJ!

We knew before we knew
As soon as we met with DJ Scottish Roy we knew he would be the right guy for our special day. He seemed as excited as we were, attentive to the details we wanted to implement, and he had great ideas and energy from consultation to the last song on our wedding day. Everyone had a blast and he actually felt like he was apart of the party not just the dj behind a booth! Easy choice!

Amazing DJ and made my wedding day
DJ Roy was incredible!!! He was so funny and kept the flow of my wedding the whole time. I did not have a wedding planner so his wife stepped right up and showed us what to do and when to do it. He made everything for me from my timeline down to setting up my cake table and Mr and Mrs table because I was so busy! He was worth every penny and so professional. I would hands down use him all over again every single time! If you chose him you won’t regret it I promise you!!!

Fantastic DJ
DJ Scottish Roy is the most amazing DJ I have ever met. From the transparent pricing, song preparations to the day of the wedding he was professional, responsive and so kind. At the wedding we noticed him taking pictures/videos and a couple days later we received the most lovely highlight real. We didn’t have our phones at the wedding so we really enjoyed getting a glimpse at what happened because honestly it was all a blur and photographer photos and videos take a little while to get back. So thank you Roy for being a lovely DJ on our special day!

Roy was fantastic. We just gave him a few genres and a couple songs we wanted to hear and he put together a great playlist of songs. Was energetic all day and really helped take our reception to another level. Hoping to never get married again... but if I do Roy will be my DJ!

Perfect DJ for our wedding!
DJ Scottish Roy was simply amazing and we could not of asked for a better DJ to work with for our wedding day. Roy was amazing leading up to our wedding. He met with us several months in advance to go over timelines and even helped us make a custom Texas GOBO (which was a huge deal to the groom) Roy also provided me with a step by step guideline to help me choose the perfect song for every special moment through the wedding. Thought the wedding Roy did a great job of playing music everyone enjoyed. Everyone complimented on the selection he was playing and even really enjoyed the shoe game he played. My wedding took place just after COVID and DJ Roy helped us reschedule our date with him without issue and really worked with us to make sure that didn’t damper our day. We really wanted a DJ that was personable and we found that in DJ Scottish Roy. I could not recommend him enough.

The perfect night!
Planning a wedding during a pandemic was more stressful than most could even imagine. We were originally booked with a different DJ but when we had to change our date our original DJ was not available so he recommended DJ Scottish Roy to us. We are so glad he did!
From the start, Roy was so accommodating and easy to talk to. He walked us through how the day would go and gave us advice on ways to keep the guests entertained. He sent over some song forms for us to fill out and even though I must have changed the itinerary a hundred times, he was always so kind and understanding.
The day of the wedding, he was even better! He was very well organized and came to me directly to ask if I was ready for certain moments before he proceeded but still made sure we stayed on schedule to make sure we had enough time for all of the “special moments”.
Besides being organized and a great coordinator, he played all of the songs that I had put on the form and even took some requests from our guests. We also had a blast playing the shoe game. We couldn’t be happier with his performance!
After the wedding, I was a little sad it was all over. Before the wedding, we had decided we didn’t need/want a videographer because we never thought we would actually watch the footage. After the wedding, we regretted not hiring one because to us our day was PERFECT and we just wanted to keep replaying it. To our surprise, Roy texted me shortly after asking permission to post a video of clips from our wedding to his social media. I was soooo excited and loved the little video he made so much that we must have watched it a million times. It was the greatest and sweetest surprise we could have ever asked for.
