I really didn’t know what I was doing when choosing my flowers for my wedding! I knew what I liked, but Cathy knows what works and when it works. I needed that guidance! I had to change my 4/30/21 wedding to 8/15/21, and Cathy was so flexible and responsive. This also meant changing the types of flowers we could use due to the August heat. Everything came out so beautifully and we are so blessed to have had Cathy as our floral designer. Everything was perfect; all details were paid attention to, including my annoying pollen allergies. We highly recommend Royal Weddings by Cathy Johnson! -

The best day of my life!!
Im so happy that my mom and I met Cathy at the Hotel DuPont during a wedding expo shortly after I got engaged! My mom and I fell in love with her and all her flowers that day! I’ll never forget reaching out to Cathy and setting up our 1st consultation! When my mom and I arrived, she had a bouquet of flowers for me and a beautiful mother of the bride gift for my mom! That truly melted our hearts! So sweet and thoughtful and a great way to start off the consultation!! I had told Cathy that my main decor was going to be flowers...lots of flowers! I gave her my vision and she went above and beyond and made my vision come to life! My bouquet along with my whole bridal parties flowers, all the flowers and centerpieces were absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted! Cathy and her team are absolutely amazing and out did themselves! The BEST part is when my dad and I were about to walk down the isle I looked over and Cathy and her team were standing to the side watching the whole ceremony after being there for hours setting up!! I was so happy and got the biggest smile! I will recommend Cathy over and over again and will use her for future events that I plan!! Hands down, without a doubt, the best florist around! -

This vendor took a Washington DC disaster and turned it into a bride's wedding ceremony dream. She transformed my aunts backyard using beautiful flowers with bold but romantic colors, floating candles and rose petals and to add flare she created a drink bar with beautiful Parasol's at the bottom. Now mind you this vendor doesn't live in DC but she was willing to do such a beautiful job at such short notice. I highly recommend this vendor I have seen her other work which is absolutely beautiful but I must say she outdid herself this time. Everyone that came I was so amazed at how beautiful it was. -

Dream Wedding
I met Cathy through my photographer. I was trying to plan an affordable but beautiful backyard wedding after my original wedding date fell through due to COVID19. I was nervous to commit to another wedding but she created a plan that was safe and executed it flawlessly. It was such a pleasure to work with her. She is honest, professional, flexible and patient. Most importantly she is talented. When my husband's coworkers saw the wedding pictures they asked him if I'm a celebrity based on the quality of her work. The arch, the bouquet and the table decor were all stunning! She isn't afraid of color so the flowers and decor were breathtakingly bold and modern. I am forever indebted to Royal Weddings by Cathy Johnson! -

I was so very excited to use Cathy because I saw her at a wedding expo and really loved that she was willing to do my Christmas wedding. It all started off amazing , we looked at the venue and we were excited to work together . I didn’t have to wait to get my pricing estimate. The number she responded with was pretty high. I let her know that I thought that number was higher than I wanted to spend and my fiancé wouldn’t agree with paying that price just for my ceremony. I told her that my sister didn’t pay that much and that we would need to come up with another number or I might have to find someone else . I even told her it sucks because I really loved her. I was respectful and just explaining myself and communicating my thoughts. She then sent me a long paragraph with 8 different pictures pretty much saying that what she does and the quality of work she does is worth the amount she was charging. Which I understood that but me personally wouldn’t spend that much. I was 100% okay with her answer until she said “ I am not sure what flowers your sister received for her wedding but if it was lower it was not at the level, type , or quality you requested for your wedding “ mind you , she continued sending me pictures of her flowers and saying things like “ were your sisters flowers this quality “ it came off so rude and disrespectful. She even told me to send her pictures of my sisters flowers . For what reason i don’t know , it seemed she wanted to pick apart my sisters flowers to show me why hers were more expensive . The only reason I gave her 2 stars is because when I decided to not use her anymore she offered to do my flowers which she never did but she ended up giving my deposit back .
