Rouge Fine Catering

I booked Rouge for my wedding and it could not have been a better choice!! We shopped around with about 5 other caterers and my husband is VERY specific when it comes to food. He wanted to make sure that the food at our wedding was excellent, it was one of his top priorities. We liked some of the other caterers but had heard really great things about Rouge. We were a bit wary that they didn't do tastings but everything we kept hearing about them was fantastic so we decided to go with them and we were not disappointed. Our day of contact, Julia was so helpful, responsive, and organized. She jumped right in and was always available to answer any questions we had whether it was food, cost, or decor related. The team at Rouge worked with us to customize our menu to meet our needs and to add special touches to make the food reflect the cultural elements of my husbands background (Colombian) that were important for us to incorporate into our day. Most importantly, on wedding day everything tasted AMAZING!! We had steak and chicken and both were cooked perfectly. All the sides were wonderful. We had an assorted dessert table that all our guests raved about! Every detail was considered and thoughtfully handled by Rouge. The staff was friendly, organized, and most importantly calm and professional. I would absolutely recommend Rouge to any bride and groom!!!!

11.5.22 Wedding

We got married at Accelerator Space November 5,2022 and Rouge did an exceptional job catering our wedding. From cocktail hour to dinner service, everything couldn’t have been more perfect. Guests raved about all the food, especially dinner!
Abby was our event manager and she went above and beyond to make sure all of our set up and the fine details were done. Rouge staff was very professional and pleasant.
If you are looking for great food, great service than I would look no further than to hire Rouge Fine Catering for your wedding!!

Incredible Food and Service!

I can’t recommend Rouge highly enough! They are truly the best in the industry, and their confidence is well-deserved. From the very beginning, they made the planning process seamless and enjoyable, providing an outstanding tasting that left us excited for our big day.
When I met our day-of coordinator, Anne, I felt incredibly grateful. She was organized, meticulous, and exuded professionalism, making everything run smoothly.
Now, let’s talk about the FOOD! It was some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m still amazed at how they pulled off such exceptional quality in a buffet setting. You absolutely must try the braised short rib—it was a showstopper! I’m already trying to figure out how to enjoy it again.
All of the staff were incredibly sweet and attentive, contributing to a wonderful evening that we will never forget. If you’re looking for top-notch catering for your wedding, look no further than Rouge!

Rouge was great to work with throughout the wedding planning process and provided delicious food on our wedding day! Guests are still talking about the brie tart appetizer. :) We also worked directly with Sarah. She was very responsive and accommodating. I am so glad we chose Rouge as a vendor for our special day!

5/1/2021 Wedding at Glen Ellen

We were very fortunate to have Rouge Fine Catering be our caterer for our wedding this past weekend. Leading up to our date, we had countless interactions with Celeste and Marija regarding our wedding, from adjusting out total guest count, to hosting our reception on the lawn or altering our menu from our original contract, they accommadated all of our requests. The "Fine Catering" is true to the name, everything was high class, from the first tasting, communication, food preparation/presentation. Our guests were estatic with quality of the food that Rouge provided. Thank you again for making our wedding memorable!!

3 months after our wedding and people are still talking about how incredible the food from Rouge was. The one big thing my wife and I wanted was great food and Rouge didn't disappoint. The best example of how amazing Rouge was is the vegetarian meal. Generally, this will be buttered noodles, but Rouge put together a vegetable Napolon that stole the show. The fact that they don't just accept the norm and put such time in effort into an incredible product sets them apart. I couldn't recommend them any higher.

We cannot say enough great things about Rouge Catering! A full month after our wedding, we still have people telling us how amazing the food was, how delicious the appetizers were, and could we give newly engaged friends the number of our caterer. When we were first planning, we made good food our top priority as we both love food a lot! We actually went to several different tastings of places that were suggested by our wedding venue. We used Rouge to cater our wedding and we were very happy with the entire catering experience!

1. One aspect that was very important to us was that we had one point of contact from initial phone call through the wedding day. Our initial sales contact (Jordan Bardel) became our sales manager, event manager throughout the planning process, and then was onsite the entire wedding day. We felt a very high comfort level because Jordan was with us throughout the whole process and we didn't have to keep re-explaining to new folks at every step.

2. When we visited Rouge for the initial tasting, Jordan took us on a facility tour and I was very impressed by their organization, logistics, and food prep/cooking stations. I know how hard it is to maintain quality when scaling up to a feed a large group.

3. Throughout the sales and planning process, Jordan was very responsive to our emails and phone calls. She was also very accommodating working with the kitchen with our initial and follow-up tastings. After all that, we were happy with our customized menu.

4. So now about the food. I mentioned above our concern with maintaining quality when cooking for a larger group. Rouge really delivered with the presentation and taste of all our appetizers, 2 meat entrees, and sides. We had many compliments on how good all the food tasted. Well done! (And even now, I look back on the photos because I miss the food...sigh)

5. I also wanted to compliment Rouge for the professionalism of all their staff. The entire on site team performed so well. From the setting up the table/linens/chairs, the bartenders, hor d'oeuvres and dinner servers, through desserts, the staff was effective, efficient, smiling, and friendly. We definitely felt well taken of.

All around perfect

Rouge was an integral part of making our wedding such a big success. We worked with Nadja, who was awesome. She helped us make sure everything went smoothly with the guests and helped make sure everything was perfect for my husband and I as well. Amazing Catering!

Rouge provided exceptional service and delicious food for our wedding on 5/11/19. Working with Jacqueline made the whole catering process of wedding planning so easy. She was always prompt with replying to any questions I had, and worked with me to have our dream wedding while staying within our budget. All of the food at our wedding was incredible, and we had so many family and friends telling us how impressed they were with Rouge's service and how delicious everything was. Amazing!!! We worked with Sarah and she was fantastic. She answered my 73839 questions and was always kind, reassuring and flexible. The food was fantastic! Everyone kept saying how good it was and how beautifully presented. Sarah and her team set up so many little extra things like a favors table and folded and set up all my escort cars. Everything about working with Rouge was a positive experience! Never having planned a formal event like a wedding reception before we needed a lot of support and guidance. The staff at Rouge were with us every step of the way! They offered us a varied selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts and stayed within our budget. Kaitlyn Canarr, manager, listened to the vision of our day and delivered an event that far exceeded our expectations. The staff who served our guests were professional and friendly and looked like they were having a good time (I even noticed one of the bartenders dancing a little behind the bar as the party got under way. It put a smile on my face). During the dinner and for days after, friends and family raved about the delicious, beautiful food. We cannot say enough about how Rouge came through for us! If you choose this talented group, you will not be disappointed!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rouge Catering and Heather who helped make sure every detail from the food to the set up was perfect. I was planning my wedding from out of state which made for meetings and details to be hashed out mainly over email and a few visits. Heather, from the start, was nothing but accommodating, prompt and beyond helpful. After attending several tasting with other caterers it was clear that Rouge rose far above the rest, not just in their amazing food but how they made me feel at ease. They assured me that I would have nothing to worry about, they would take care of everything, and they did. Heather not only made sure my food was perfect but the service was fabulous. Since my wedding was at the Baltimore Museum of Industry they only had 3 hours to transform the space from a museum to wedding venue. She took care of everything including setting up my centerpieces and tables for gifts, guestbooks and decorating them with things I had given her. I walked into the venue and was blown away. She took care of everything including packing my husband and I leftover cupcakes to take back to the hotel since we were so busy we did not get a chance to eat any cake. I would recommend Rouge to anyone, Their food is fabulous and they are wonderful to work with, hiring them you will not have to worry, your event will be wonderful and every detail will be perfect.

Rouge is truly a step above the rest (and we tried out a few!) in terms of presentation, style, quality, tastiness, and ease of working with them! We have a lot of foodie friends and did not want to have one of those weddings where the food is so-so, and Rouge truly delivered beyond our expectations. Key to their value prop is the freshness of the food - everything is cooked on-site instead of just warmed over. It also looks beautiful and there are lots of creative and international options! Our friends are still talking about the great meal they had. In addition, we appreciated their philosophy to managing the business and employees - they are the only catering company we found that paid their staff above market so that they wouldn't be reliant on tips. Celeste resolved any issues and misunderstandings with promptness, Lauren was a very responsive coordinator, and the staff all took excellent care of us.

Our company does an annual Christmas Party for 100+ people. This year we had to change caterers because the private Chef we used in past decided not to do catering anymore. We received several proposals and did tastings with catering companies in the area and Rouge was very competitive with pricing and the food we sampled was beautifully displayed when brought out to us and the taste was excellent. Overall their presentation and food won us over! The night of the party was no different, staff was very pleasant and professional, despite many members being of a younger age, and the food was delicious. Our party guest gave many compliments on the food and service. We will definitely be using them next year!

Catering - simply the best and outstanding wedding

This is absolutely the best catering company I have ever experienced. When we started our wedding planning I researched 12 companies and interviewed five of them. Rouge spent an hour on the phone with me during my first conversation and made me feel I was their most important customer that day. Within three hours I had a proposal in hand that reflected everything we discussed. No other company did this or gave me this amount of time. They also cook on site in a mobile kitchen a key differentiator for us and the day of the event July 13, 2019 the food was exceptional. I made numerous requests and changes throughout the 16 months process and Amanda Trojnar our catering Manager was superior, responsive, helpful, caring and just awesome. Everything we wanted - we got. We had an awesome bar, incredible appetizers ( scallops, sliders, chicken and waffles and 6 more). We had an ice cream sundae bar to die for! Our guests were amazed. The service the staff and Amanda the day of the event were just top notch. Our chef was superior from our tasting to the day of the event! The filet mignon and crab cakes beats a Morton’s- it was that good! Many people said best they ever had! I can’t say enough good things about Amanda and her team throughout the process but our wedding day - flawless! I think Rouge is the best in the business and the team we had at our wedding - well they deserve a raise they are sooooo good! Thank you for making our wedding perfect! You could not hire a better catering company or find a better team to work your event!

I cannot say enough good things about Anna and Rouge Catering. They were absolutely amazing with EVERYTHING. From emailing back and forth, being extremely flexible with our tasting time so my Fiance could attend (his work schedule is crazy) to the day of the wedding. Anna wasn't afraid to ask if she needed anything from us, but had pretty much everything under control the entire time. And my absolute favorite part: All you ever hear is people telling you "I don't think I ate anything at my wedding. We were so busy" ... I was not going to let that happen. I like to eat. When the DJ invited our table up to the buffet line, my new husband and I went to get up and Anna was right behind us with two plates of food already ready. It was amazing! They set up all the cupcakes that my sister made because she was super busy as well and all I heard was how good the food was. THANK YOU SO MUCH! You guys made the night over the top. I have two other sisters - we WILL be back!!

First off, Rouge is amazing!! Where do I start??

If we have any events that need to be catered in the future, my husband and I will absolutely go with Rouge, no question. We initially did a tasting with a different local catering company who made us pay $20 a head for a buffet-style tasting. We were lucky enough to find Rouge and had a completely opposite experience with them right from the start! They held our tasting at Rouge's headquarters where you are treated to a private (free) tasting of your entire menu, served just how it would look on your event day.

Now, on to the food. The meal was outstanding! I can't say enough good things about the quality and presentation of the meal. Our guests were making sure to pull us aside during the wedding to tell us how delicious dinner was. :) Our vegetarians were also extremely pleased with their meals. Everything was wonderfully seasoned, nothing was swimming in sauce, the beef fillets were cooked to a perfect medium-rare (which to be honest, is an amazing feat to accomplish in an of itself, not to mention for 100 guests). Our MD Rockfish was out of this world, as were all of the appetizers.

Not only was the food exceptional, but working with Rouge for practically a year prior to our big day was also wonderful. Kaitlyn was our direct contact and she couldn't have been more helpful. She was speedy on responding to emails and phone calls and was an absolute delight to work with. The staff that worked on our wedding day were polite and helped our guests with anything they needed. Bar service was speedy and it seemed everyone had plenty to drink ;)

I can't say enough good things about Rouge, their staff, and the amazing food they create! Can't wait to have an excuse to use them again!!

Our guests raved about the food!

We are so happy we chose Rouge Fine Catering to cater our wedding reception! They were very responsive to communication and were able to create the perfect wedding menu for us. They incorporated my French (baked brie tartlets) and Ukrainian (potato pyrohy) backgrounds and my husband's Chinese (edamame potstickers) background perfectly into the passed hors d'oeuvres, and the buffet dinner was extremely well-executed and delicious. I was a little worried about a line at the buffet taking too long, but the experienced Rouge staff kept things moving and there was never an issue. As mentioned in the review header, everyone raved about the food! Our guests were talking about it for days after our wedding.

The service and attention to detail were also incredible. We ordered a sheet cake from Wegmans for our dessert, and Rouge picked it up for us on the day of our wedding (they also do their own in-house desserts, which I am sure are amazing). We coordinated linen rental through Rouge, which was seamless and straightforward. The staff even set aside two of every passed hors d'oeuvres in the bridal suite so we were both able to taste everything. We were so impressed with everything Rouge had to offer. We didn't even consider other caterers - after we tried Rouge, we were sold!

Rouge catered our wedding this past Saturday, and we could not be happier with that decision! Their food is top-notch, but so is their service. As the bride, I felt tended to consistently throughout my reception. Everything was so delicious and I made it a point to try a little bit of everything. I got so stuffed! (Yes, I ate a lot at my own wedding). All our guests kept saying how phenomenal the food was, but the presentation was also stunning. Jordan was there to help every step of the way and seldom responded to an email 48 hours later- she typically responded within a day. Also, get to know their staff. They are super friendly and it is so nice to build a relationship with them. Rouge is nothing short of professional.

EXCELLENT! The service I received from Rouge was OUTSTANDING. Everyone I met on their staff was helpful, considerate and polite, most especially Regina Sieck one of the catering managers. The food was delicious and even better than I could have imagined. When I went for my tasting they showed me the spotless kitchens and equipment and it made me feel 200% confident that my wedding was in good hands. The staff really worked with your budget as well and made a customized menu for you. I couldn't have been happier with Rouge. They were PHENOMENAL. I would give them 10 starts if this site would let me. I promise you won't be let down.

Great food and service

We had a great experience with Rouge for our wedding - not only was the food amazing, but the level of service, peace of mind and expertise was top notch as well. Initially meeting with Kaitlyn, all of the food we sampled was amazing and we knew we would be going with Rouge right on the spot. Once the planning process started, Julia was great in helping us stay organized, keep everything flowing and providing us with a huge peace of mind throughout the planning process and ceremony (and even helped keep us fed when we were busy during the wedding). We received numerous compliments on the service and food - thank you to the team at Rouge!

I can't possibly rave about Rouge Fine Catering enough. They were absolutely WONDERFUL to work with before, during, and after the wedding. My friends and family loved the food, and other vendors talked about how friendly and professional the bartenders and staff were. Heather is the possibly the best thing that happened to me during my wedding planning experience. She really understood what kind of wedding vision I had, and she provided fantastic ideas towards achieving that vision. I didn't originally think that Rouge would work for our budget, but they really worked with us. It turned out better than I could have ever hoped. I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Rouge. Our Event Coordinator, Jordan Bardel, was extremely responsive, organized, and professional. She made herself very available in the days, weeks and months prior to our event. She was also "right there" during the event to take care of any questions or concerns we may have had. Everything went off on a timely basis and the food was FANTASTIC! Many of our guests said guests said that it was that it was some of the best "wedding food" they have ever had. We highly recommend working with Rouge Catering!

Rouge did a fantastic job catering my wedding in September! The team at Rouge was wonderful to work with and enthusiastically helped us make several customizations to our menu. Along with many appetizers during cocktail hour, Rouge catered family style side dishes to go with the entrees our guests preselected. For our fish entrée, they worked with a recipe we provided to them and did a fantastic job recreating one of our favorite seafood entrees. They also offered “his” and “hers” cocktails that my husband and I picked out which were a huge hit! All of our guests are still talking about how delicious and perfectly cooked all of the food was. The Rouge catering team was also very thoughtful throughout the wedding day – the staff realized my groom and I were super busy during cocktail hour and made a plate of appetizers for us to enjoy at the sit-down dinner. They even packed up a “picnic” with samples of all of the food we had catered that night to enjoy in our honeymoon suite. We would highly recommend working with Rouge for any event!

ROUGE was amazing from start to finish! We looked at about 5-6 caterers for our 3/29/14 wedding at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, Rouge was our last "tasting" and we definitely saved the best for last! It was the easiest decision we made. Not only was the food AMAZING at the tasting AND the wedding, but we could not have asked for more wonderul people to work with, MJ and Celeste were an absolute pleasure. I'll be the first to admit, we had all kinds of requests with an oyster bar, special beer, cookie tables, etc. and they did it all, and they did it perfectly! Our guests are still talking about the awesome food, the amazing presentation and set up of our tables, the service. Everything was wonderfult, I really can't thank Rouge enough for making our day perfect! If you are looking for a wedding caterer with great service, amazing staff, the BEST food (so many guests told us we that we had the most delicious wedding food of all time), responsive team members, Rouge is it! I'll miss getting to talk to them each week, but will forever be thankful for they work they did on our big day.

Simply DELISIOUS! We are still getting compliments on how amazing our wedding food was. We had a 300 person sit down dinner reception, and they did not miss a beat. We worked with Emily, and she was so patient, kind, and professional. For our tasting they brought us to their facility, and gave us a tour, and showed us what goes on behind the scene. That sealed the deal for my father, he could see they used as much fresh ingredients as possible, and the tasting was AMAZING. Emily made our entire process painless and smooth, she was extremely sweet and knowledgeable. Her staff was professional and also a pleasure to work with. If we ever have another event they are our go to caterer. We cannot thank them enough for everything.

Jacqueline and her team went above and beyond all of my expectations. The food was phenomenal, the staff so lovely and attentive, and the set-up was gorgeous. After the ceremony as I was taking pictures outside, one of the ladies brought me a plate of the appetizers!! It was raining the morning of my ceremony, and they managed to move the ceremony outside and completely flip the inside room to be ready for the dinner - I mean, that was a feat that truly shows the professionalism and extra effort this team will give you. Jacqueline and Celeste were always extremely responsive and open to making changes. I would absolutely recommend them for any event, they were amazing.

Weeks after my wedding I am still receiving compliments on the food catered for our special day! Booking Rouge was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Their staff is extremely personable, accessible, and on top of every detail. The food was AMAZING and everything ran like clockwork. My husband and I chose Rouge to cater our wedding in May of 2015. We are very happy with our choice! Emily, our event coordinator, was detail oriented, professional, and responsive. She was available to answer questions and helped build a delicious and diverse menu. Rouge cooks the food fresh on site. We especially enjoyed the crab cake appetizer, vegetable napoleon and short ribs. Our guests raved about the food; happy belly, happy guests!

Rouge was flexible, and able to work within our budget to create a full service menu.
We had a wonderful experience at the tasting, both sets of parents were able to attend. Each attendee was able to sample an individual serving (with wine!). At the end of our tasting, the head chef came out and greeted us.

Emily helped coordinate the timeline for the day of the event. She met us a month prior to the wedding for a final walk through at our venue. This was extremely helpful to run through last minute layout and service details. At the walk through, we were able to choose our linens, which were included within our contract with Rouge.

Emily helped with transporting items to our venue. I cannot say enough wonderful things!
When we got to our sweetheart table, Rouge had special plates made up for us including all three station entrees and hors d’oeuvres (which we missed during cocktail hour bc we were taking photos). At the end of the night they made us both meals to go.

Our family baked cookies for our event, and Emily did an amazing job replenishing the dessert (they were a hot commodity!)

Both Emily and the head chef came to our wedding. We felt in good hands.
I highly recommend using Rouge for any event. Thank you, Rouge Catering!

Your need to go with Rouge Catering!

Amanda and her team managed our 200 person, at home wedding this past weekend and were wonderful from start to finish! The food was absolutely amazing- we're traditional Marylander's and had lots of seafood options for cocktail hour (raw oysters, ahi tuna, cocktail shrimp, crab tarts, scallops and coconut shrimp) everything was great! Followed by filet or rockfish for dinner- all of our guests raved about the food. They also devoured the milk and cookie bar- many guests told me they went back for 2nds and 3rds. The bartenders and servers had exceptional customer service (and on a 95 degree day)- my husband and I are retired bartenders and have high expectations in this department, they exceeded them by far! Do yourself a favor and call Rouge for your next big event, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I were recently married this past weekend at a historic mansion in MD. Niki from Rouge provided attentive, superb service throughout the preparation phases, food testing, and when I asked for a gluten free menu for allergy reasons, she kindly and promptly created one that was wonderful! We've heard rave reviews from our guests--the salmon was excellent, and the wine amazing. Thanks so much for making our wedding evening memorable!

We are so so happy we went with Rouge for catering our wedding! We reached out to a few caterers but the initial proposal that Heather R. put together was by and far the best looking menu and easiest to understand proposal, since it was clear what exactly was included in the per person price. We got plenty of compliments on our cocktail hour, buffet dinner, and especially on our FRESH mini donuts, made on site!! On the day of, the service and presentation was phenomenal! All the servers and bartenders were super professional and great at their job. I would definitely recommend Rouge to anyone looking for event catering!

Rouge did a FANTASTIC job with our October 2015 wedding. We were married at Elk Manor Winery, and it was such comfort knowing that Rouge has worked many events at Elk Manor. Everything went off with out a hitch. Sarah was great to work with answering all of my many many questions through out the process. Their food is incredible! We went with the buffet option and served short ribs and mahi mahi. I am not much of a red meat eater, but I could eat their short ribs every night. Seriously the best short ribs I have ever had. The appetizers were some of the best appetizers I have ever had a wedding, and I am so happy this was at our wedding! I would HIGHLY recommend Rouge as a catering service for any wedding. You will not be disappointed!

Rouge was presented to us as a somewhat "new-on-the-scene" option and we rolled the dice with that singular recommendation. Were we ever glad we trusted our instincts! Rouge delivered what our guests described as "hands down THE BEST 'wedding food' they'd ever had." And it was! The 3-course plated dinner was beyond elegant and filled with infinitely inventive flavor combinations. Gabrielle was such a pleasure to work with and the evening was truly stellar from start to finish. Using Rouge Fine Catering was the best decision we made in a fortunate series of great decisions.

I seriously can't stress enough how amazing their service was for my wedding. I was 2 months away, and catering was the hardest (and for wedding planning the most important part) check on my checklist. They were the only place (out of very many) that QUICKLY responded to me and my inquires (I'm talking like 12 hours later). They catered (pun intended) to everything I needed. My budget was serious tight and they had an amazing menu to offer WITHOUT hidden costs, just a bottom line total, and when you have a wedding on your hands worried about all the hidden fine lines like the other vendors I hired had, was a huge weight off my shoulders. So, then the big day- they were on time, helped with a cake and cupcakes that I had delivered from anther vendor. But most importantly!!: I rented a lot of vintage props and when I arrived, I found they dropped off a lot of things in one big pile and took off. My stress level hit the roof and I start running around in full hair/make up/dress, trying tset everything up in 90 degree heat. People were coming in an hour. And Rouge and they're employees stepped forward and started helping me, without me asking because why would I ask them? It's not their job! But they ALL pitched in, lugging large trunks, wine barrels, wagon wheel, etc. all around my venue for me. Telling me to stop and relax, that have it handled. So without them, my wedding wouldn't have happened!! But enough about the best service I could have possibly imagined and onto the delicious food! Everything was perfect. Every single person complimented the food, the drinks, everything. They were amazing, delicious food, above and beyond service. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH!!

Working with Rouge was a highlight of our wedding planning. My husband is vegetarian and was pretty worried about having a caterer that gave little thought to vegetarian options. Celeste and Emily were professional and very accommodating, especially with the fact that we did more than one tasting. They were transparent about pricing/services/ideas and really helped us create a menu that incorporated what we wanted (no red meat entrees, fresh, non-fussy food for a hot summer eve, lots of vegetables with a mediterranean flare). The chef even spoke with us about creating a vegetarian dish - that truly surprised me.
About the food:
I wanted a peach bellini and they made it happen. Last minute they created a lemonade stand since I was worried about the heat (that broke the day of our wedding).
If you're doing a cocktail hour definitely ask about their mosaic antipasti - grilled veggies, freshly made cheeses, marinated veggies, unique dips, etc. The passed hors d'oeuvres were tweaked just for what we wanted - a vegan pizzette, beef chimichurri, watermelon skewer, tuna tartar. The entrees were really solid - citrus airline chicken and an asian inspired salmon. I actually ate at my own wedding! And ate a lot! The sides were baby veg. melange and a potato pave that everyone raved about. The real impressive piece was the vegetarian entree. We worked with staff and my husband to create a sweet potato gnocchi dish that was so delicious that many people told me it was the best vegetarian wedding entree they'd ever had. No exaggeration. The staff was attentive the whole time and even prepared extra food for me and my husband to take into our hotel room.
For a once in a lifetime event, the quality of service and food at Rouge was really beyond what I expected. I was so happy to feed our wedding party this delicious food. Since we didn't have a wedding planner Rouge also real stepped up on the actual wedding day to help with a variety of logistics. Thank you!

My husband and I got married this past Saturday, and we used Rouge as our caterers. I have nothing but great things to say about Rouge. I'll start with the food. It was delicious. We have been to many, many weddings, and I often find that appetizers are the delicious, but the main course is okay as it's often hard to cook for such a large crowd. Well, as expected, the appetizers were amazing, but so was the main course. We got so many compliments from the guests, we were afraid that the food was going to be the most memorable part of the night! Even my mother-in-law said that the crab cakes were the best she'd ever eaten. Rouge was able to accommodate every guest, from vegan to kosher, for those with every food allergy under the sun, there was something for everyone. And that something, whatever it was, was tasty. We also don't like cake, so we had creme brulee and truffles for dessert. They were a hit!

Not only was the food delicious, the service was phenomenal. The bartenders were kind, quick, and generous. We expected to buy the alcohol ourselves and have the bartenders serve it, but when we received a quote for the booze, we were astonished. Our group has many heavy drinkers, and we couldn't believe how reasonable the quote was. We were a little concerned that they would run out given the price, but this was not an issue. The bar didn't run out of anything.

I would also like to give a special shoutout to Gabrielle, our event manager. We originally worked with Heather, but found out a month before the wedding that Heather was leaving Rouge and we would be working with Gabrielle. We were slightly worried about the last minute change, but it was seamless. Gabrielle was extremely flexible and met us for a second walk through to make sure that we felt comfortable. We really appreciated her attention to detail and easy-going nature. We couldn't have asked for a better manager!

Overall, Rouge was AMAZING!

Rouge was absolutely amazing to work with. I worked with Heather throughout the process and she was super flexible to our needs. When I initially talked to her I had no idea what I wanted the menu to look like so she came up with a sample and then we edited from there (and I probably requested 5+ edits before the initial meeting!). I had a unique situation as I had to have a combination of Indian and American food. Rouge was able to deliver both and the food was AMAZING! And I have to mention the initial meeting when I was still deciding on which caterer to go with. They had a selection of appetizers and entree items from the menu we had decided on - some caterers just give you a sample of food that is not necessarily on your menu. Being able to taste the actual food and actually see how it wold be displayed is really nice. We also were able to give comments on the taste of some of the dishes - for example we asked for the crab balls to come with a combo of cocktail and tartar rather than just tartar (something I don't think I would have noticed had I not had that at the meeting). And I was still able to make changes to the menu when I decided on something different. They are super professional all the way through. Their staff was great at the actual event. They brought me my meal rather than me going through the buffet line and when I told them I wanted a doggie bag as I was full they just packed it all up and had it brought to me at the end of the night. Lastly, the cost was really comparable to other caterers.

Rouge did the most incredible job catering our wedding during mid September at Great Oak Manor in Chestertown. At our original tasting, we decided on chicken parm and beef short rib as main dishes, mini tacos, mini sliders, chicken and waffle and crab cakes as apps. My husband and I both have odd allergies and their staff worked around them with no issues. Our food tasted EXACTLY like the sit down tasting at their location and the presentation of the food day-of was incredible. To our surprise, we even had staff that followed us (bride + groom) around with the apps, water, and drinks the entire wedding night post-ceremony. It was stellar to have that extra service! Lauren did our coordination and worked with our other vendors to ensure we had all the right equipment, linens and set-up on our wedding weekend. All of our guests were RAVING about the food days following our wedding and loved that the staff was enthusiastic and energetic. Best investment we made for our special day. I highly recommend Rouge and two thumbs up to Lauren on knocking it out of the park!!

There is so much for me to say about Rouge Catering.
First off, the nightmare of every bride is for someone important to the running of their wedding to suddenly become unavailable. Unfortunately, that happened to my fiance and I two days before our wedding. Our event manager got in a work-related car accident and had to be pulled off our job. But amazingly, she actually called us herself to reassure us that everything would be okay. Obviously we were very upset, but you couldn't tell the day of that a new person took over our wedding two days before. Kaitlyn did a great job filling in at the last minute! My fiance and I noticed a few minor details were off, but we were the only people who knew. The professionalism of the team was amazing!
Now on to our amazing event manger who helped us all along the way - Kelly Merrill. The only word I can use to describe her is FANTASTIC! She helped us every step of the way from making the decision to go with them, to menu planning, to the timing of the evening. She really got us as a couple and did everything she could to make our day feel special, all while working within the budget we gave her. When she called to tell us she could not work our job, I was absolutely devastated because I was looking forward to having her there to see everything come to fruition and she had my utmost trust.
Last, but not least, the food. It was INCREDIBLE! I am not exaggerating that people have been telling us that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. People are still telling us that months later! Food was very important to us and our friends and family expected delicious food and Rouge delivered! From cocktail hour, our plated dinner, and dessert everything was fresh, tasty and hot. We also choose Rouge because I and my father have fairly serious food allergies and we needed to accommodate Vegan, Vegetarian, Kosher, and Gluten-free guests. Rouge was able to to come up with options for all! You can't go wrong if you choose Rouge!

Rouge is the best!

Rouge was one of my favorite vendors for our wedding day! They were the one vendor that caused me almost no stress! We planned a Baltimore wedding from Texas and Rouge was very accommodating with us! They were able to get us a tasting while we were in town for the holidays and I am so glad we did a tasting because the food was amazing! After the tasting they gave us a coordinator, Marija, and she was AMAZING! Her and I were in constant contact pretty much every day, multiple times a day until the wedding. When I was not able to attend the venue final walk through due to us being in Texas, Marija and our wedding planner attended on our behalf and facetimed us when they got there which was very helpful! Marija helped with all the last minute details, almost as much as our wedding planner. She helped with our tables and seating chart to helping us select linens, tables, napkins and more and they turned out exactly how I wanted them. The staff the day of was very accommodating and I had many guests say how nice the staff was! They were very timely when passing out drinks, hors d’oeuvres and the meals. I was worried about having one bar for 120 guests but there was a very little line the whole night! My husband and I were worried we wouldn’t have time with pictures to eat the delicious hors d’oeuvre and we were able to grab a few here and there because the staff made sure they came around to us, which was very nice! Not only did they make sure we got some, when we sat down at our sweetheart table, they had a whole tray of 2 of each of the hors d’oeuvres for us! One of the main things I wanted since we were having a Maryland wedding was a menu that was tailored to encompass the delicious food that you find in Maryland. The menu we had to chose from was great, we had hors d’oeuvres that were from seafood to old bay cheese sauce for the pretzel bites and it added to the wedding! Our main menu options were the classic crab cakes and the Maryland sweet and spiced chicken and guests could not get over how great the food was! To top it off, a majority of their menu items are gluten free which was very easy to navigate for any guests that had food allergies! At the end of the night, they even packed up some left over food and cake for my husband and I to enjoy after which was great because we didn’t have time to eat additional cake besides when we cut the cake so the fact that we were able to enjoy a slice of each layer of our cake after the wedding was amazing! I cannot say enough good things about Rouge and everything they did for us on our wedding day! Catering is such a big part of your wedding budget and Rouge was very affordable and the quality of the food and service was top notch!

We used Rouge this last weekend for our wedding and I can't say enough great things about them. Everything about working with Rouge was phenomenal. Both Heather and Celeste ensured a perfect wedding day went off without any concerns or worries. ROUGE was so important to the success of our wedding reception! Working with Kelly was easy and fun to come up with our individualized menu and, right from the beginning, she understood the relaxed "vibe" and understated elegance we were going for. The food was divine and everything on our menu was delicious! We received so many compliments on the food and it seemed that everyone had a different favorite. We know our guests were happy and satisfied which was our main goal! The service was terrific and we especially loved having our own personal server, Meg, who was assigned to take care of us all night! What a truly delightful and magnificent experience!

Rouge was such a great decision for catering! They were so great to work with! We worked with them to put together amazing hors d'oeuvres/dinner and desert shooters. They made the best options possible and stuck to our price range. While at my wedding, the head chef came out to take a picture with me. This made me feel very honored that he came to check how everything was. It felt very personable! The coordinator Jordan that we worked with, was very responsive and made me feel assured. Everything went smoothly and my guests raved about the food!!
I strongly recommend this catering company!

Wedding Weekend Highlight

Rouge catering made our entire weekend wonderful! They catered both our rehearsal dinner and wedding and we received so many comments on the excellent food- even many saying it was better than many restaurants they had eaten at! We could not have asked for better food or a better group to work with :)

Amanda was easy to work with from start to finish.

Amanda was so helpful and everyone was so professional. Food was delicious and presentation beautiful. All Covid protocol was intact. They even went out of their way to cook something gluten free for 1 of our guest. Perfect choice!!

I have over my career and life worked with dozens of caterers, but I have never had an experience that came close to this. They were superb in every way. From the first inquiry through the cleanup, they were a delight to work with. The quality or the food was outstanding. My daughter is a picky eater and they not only accommodated all her needs with the dinner and appetizers but made them fabulous. The service before and during the whole evening was excellent. This was true of the event managers as well as all the staff. They all earned a huge tip, but Rouge has a no tip policy which is a nice bonus. If I had a second daughter I would go back in a heart beat. You can not do better.

AMAZING!!! From start to finish, Rouge did an excellent job catering our wedding. From the beginning when we went for a tasting, we were so surprised they offered us a full meal and every bite was delicious. At the end of our tasting, their head chef came out and greeted us. It was wonderful. On the day of our wedding, so many guests commented on how delicious the food was. The cheeseburger waffle fry and crabcake appetizers are amazing!!! The staff was so friendly and fun (the bartender was dancing behind the bar while he greeted guests - love it!). Heather R. was so professional, answered every question we had, and even helped to coordinate the timeline and everything on the day of. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rouge. Their prices are fair and inclusive, the cook the food fresh onsite, and their professionalism throughout the entirety of the planning process and wedding day was excellent. HIGHLY recommend using Rouge for any event. Thank you, Rouge Catering!

The second thing I did immediately after booking our wedding venue was look for a caterer! The food was a very important part of the wedding for my husband and I- from cocktails to dinner to drinks to late night snacks and special dessert ideas (in addition to wedding cake)! Everyone at Rouge, especially Celeste and Jordan and Chef Jonathan were MORE than a pleasure to work with, and extremely accommodating with all of my ideas. From start to finish, they were extremely responsive and professional. At the event and leading up, Jordan was an absolute delight to work with! Everyone raved about the food, and I could not be happier with our choice :)

Rouge is absolutely fantastic! From setting up a tasting, to planning, to delivery they are professionals that go above and beyond. Plus they work with a bakery to have the cake included so it's an easy and stress-free process. The food is fantastic. We had family style service and Rouge was great at bringing extras out for tables because everyone loved the food so much! We worked with Kaitlyn and she is amazing- very responsive, flexible and extremly organized. Highly recommend Rouge for their great service and amazing food!

Many thanks to Rouge for catering my wedding. Even with massive power outages (including the wedding venue) Rouge still managed to pull off a delicious dinner. The food and service was phenomenal. All of the guests were commenting on how good the appetizers and dinner were. My husband and I were so busy talking to people we barely got to eat and Anna and the other wonderful staff were nice enough to save us a couple pieces of cake and two large containers of food to take home. The food was even great two days later when we finally got to eat it!

Amazing food and service!!

We worked with Rouge for our wedding and we are very pleased with the service and the food they delivered! The food was very tasty and the variety of options was great. We had a food tasting and a tour of their facilities which assured us of the quality of their service. The day of the event manager (Lindsey) was fantastic! She was very attentive, detail oriented and made sure everything ran smoothly. The staff/servers were also very professional and friendly. We highly recommend hiring Rouge for your event!

Fantastic Caterer from Start to Finish

I truly cannot say enough good things about Rouge! From start to finish, they were easy to work with, accommodating, communicative, and had every detail covered. Major shootouts to Celeste and Amanda for their hospitality, patience, and execution.

The pre-contract process: This was the first caterer I called and actually had someone answer the phone at the same time. Celeste answered all of my questions, helped me to build a starting menu and invited us in for a tasting. I don't want to take away the surprise for anyone's tasting, but let's just say you get shown the whole operation, and you're treated like family.

The coordination and day-of execution: Amanda was our main point of contact after contract signing. She was organized, even keeled, and extremely helpful in every way. She made sure every detail was accounted for and gave recommendations when asked. Our floor plan, table setups, and color scheme were very well done. She made sure our guests were taken care of as well.

The food: I have yet to attend a wedding where the food was as good as ours (maybe I'm a little biased, but come on - a taco bar at a wedding is pretty epic). People raved about the passed apps and taco bar, and some thought we wouldn't serve a plated meal because the apps were so plentiful. The dual plate salmon and bistro steak was a hit. The dessert display was amazing as well - cupcakes, cannolis, and tres leches cake were all outstanding! I wish we'd have captured more food pics, but our photographer's attention was on the people 🙂.

The fact that Rouge cooks on site and could prepare all of this food for almost 200 guests was absolutely incredible! If you want a quality caterer that executes delicious and beautifully presented food, go with Rouge - thank you to Rouge for playing such a big part in our big day!

I'd like to start by saying many of my guests are still raving about how phenomenal the food was at our wedding! I would not call my husband and I "foodies" but we definitely enjoy food and can also be slightly picky eaters. Our wedding was a day wedding so I knew the food setup might be a little different. Rouge worked with us from the very beginning to make sure we had exactly what we were envisioning for the big day! Even during the first tasting, the food was nothing short of amazing. I made an odd request for a nacho cheese fountain and they were able to pull it off an epic fountain! We also hired Rouge to provide our bar services in addition to the catering. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend working with Rouge for delicious food and awesome service!

Thank you Rouge!

We were referred by our Wedding Coordinator (The Otherside Creatives) to Rouge Fine Catering for our May 29, 2020 wedding. We had a great experience with Amanda working with our budget and guest number to find a price and designing our delicious menu! Sadly, we had to move our date, venue and guest count due to COVID. Celeste and Jacqui worked with us through all the phases to still have our wedding during these crazy times. Jacqui helped me design several different menus from an upscale menu for 25 guests/micro wedding and then to 40 guests, all for us to come back to our original menu for a wedding of 75 guests, in my Mom's backyard and immediately arrived for a walk through. Our wedding day came and I cannot say enough about the servers, bartenders, and chef. The service and food were outstanding and have heard several times “That was the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding”. Something that will stick with me through my experience with this wonderful company was throughout our amazing evening, each staff member made it a point to congratulate and compliment us on a fun and pretty wedding. They thanked us for having them at our wedding when we were so grateful for them! We will continue to rave about our experience to couples and I hope to enjoy their work at many events in the future!

We loved working with Rouge. From the beginning they were accommodating to our requests, such as creating an Ethiopian style hors d'oeuvre to reflect my husband's favorite food. My husband is also allergic to peanuts, and since Rouge is completely nut-free, we knew we wouldn't have any issues. We coordinated both our cake and rentals through Rouge which was very easy. The food was delicious, customized, and the best value we found. They set up a kitchen at our venue so we knew everything was fresh. The staff during the event itself was very courteous and responsive. Would definitely recommend!

I love Rouge!
I met Heather R. at the Havre de Grace Wedding Walk in 2014 and was immediately take away with the quality and mission statement of Rouge. At first I was a little taken back with the price and decided to look into other caterers. If you want quality food at your wedding, there is no other option. Other caterers might be less expensive when you only look at the per person price for food, however they didn't include so many necessary things... like ice! I actually had one vendor tell me that we would have to pay extra to have ice for drinks. Many offered to build us a custom menu as well, for aditional cost. Rouge did none of that. Heather was so patient with my many questions and really helped to build an amazing menu I knew my guests would love.

As the time approached my wedding, which was just on April 18, 2015, Heather helped calm my nerves and answer so many questions about logistics. I can not express what a relief it was to respond "Heather/Rouge is handling that" to the many questions I kept being asked. She really acted like a wedding coordinator. My reception was flawless and gorgeous and I know that was 100% thanks to Heather and the staff at Rouge. Every single guest mentioned how amazing the food was.

I would hands down use Rouge for any event in the future that needed catering. I only wish I had more food at my wedding!

Rouge Fine Catering far exceeded our expectations! Prior to signing with our wedding planner Elle Ellinghaus, we tried reaching out to caterers for our wedding. We were a bit discouraged because most caterers were treating us poorly because we were planning on 30 guests. Once we signed with our wedding planner she got to work. She reached out to some of the caterers she knew would offer the quality service we deserved. Heather from Rouge Fine Catering was amazing. Heather provided us the simple choices we wanted, that we could understand and that we actually liked! She was so patient with us through the process. We trusted everything to our wedding planner, she made it so simple for us to just list what we wanted and we didn't have to hold a series of meetings and tastings to get it done. Heather understood that we didn't see the need to be involved in every little detail and she worked seamlessly with our wedding planner. The day of the wedding was our first time meeting Heather, she was so kind. She checked on us every so often while we waited for the wedding to get started to see if we needed anything or if we were hungry. She kept me hydrated! You could tell she genuinely was passionate about her job and actually enjoyed it. The staff was professional and the level of service provided by each of them was most likely the best service we have ever received during a meal. One of the servers even helped a guest who got her heel stuck in a vent! The bartender was amazing; all of our guests were served quickly and pleasantly. Our meal was absolutely delicious; we dined on crab cakes and filet that was cooked perfectly. We finished off the night with delicious mini pies and s'mores. Our guests were full and satisfied. They are still talking about the phenomenal food and service.

We are honored to have had Rouge Fine Catering provide such exceptional service and delicious food!

the BEST caterer

Rouge was absolutely fantastic. They were easy to work with, very responsive, reliable, and DELICIOUS. Everyone raved about the food at my wedding. They also made my Husband and I feel so special, always asking us if we needed food or drinks. Amazing wedding food!!

Rouge has an amazing selection of food - I would say the hardest part of using them is selecting from their enormous menu because everything is great! The food was amazing and Rouge was great to work with from the initial set up to the tasting to the final walk through. I highly recommend them for caterers, I got a ton of compliments on our meal!

I can not even describe the amount of awesome feedback I have had from all of my wedding guests regarding the food and service Rouge provided. Most said it was hands down the best food they have ever had a wedding and a lot of guests even said it was probably the best crab cake they have ever had. In my opinion the food was absolutely amazing and the service was flawless. They didn't miss a beat with my "day of timeline" and made sure all my guests felt comfortable and welcomed from the moment they arrived. You will not work with a better event coordinator at Rouge than Katie Canarr! She was assigned to my wedding a little late in the planning process but it was like she had been a part of it the entire time. She paid attention to all of my requests and details, no matter how small, and made sure my day looked exactly how I envisioned it would. She is so patient and attentive and a joy to work with. I was totally confident that she had the entire event under control and it turned out absolutely perfect!

Wedding Day

Rouge is awesome! They were so easy to work with and went above and beyond what we asked and expected of them. So many guests said how great the food was, especially the short rib and mashed potatoes served in a whiskey glass!

We just had our event with Rouge this weekend and these guys are just phenomenal. From the very first tasting i felt they were a pleasure to work with, they're easy going and friendly and SO flexible, exactly the kind of people we wanted to handle our wedding. Somehow they came in exactly at our budget range and still managed to provide a menu that was both exactly what we wanted, and something that we got rave reviews about the whole night.

We very much appreciated their honestly and up front manner and the fact that we didn't feel nickel-and-dimed with every plate and fork and glass. They were always available for last minute calls, to give advice on not just the food, but cakes, decoration ideas, a hair stylist, and to hold our hands through the VERY intense process of planning a wedding.

Trusting Wendy and Martha with our wedding i personally feel was one of the best decisions we made.

Rouge was absolutely incredible! They were the first and only caterers we looked at for our wedding at the Baltimore Zoo! The Zoo requests you use one of their approved caterers, and Rouge was on the list. After talking to a few caterers over the phone and getting some quotes and sample menus, Rouge was the only one that fit our budget and truly listened to what we wanted. They included special touches and let us customize as we liked. They were flexible and considerate of our needs, and responsive to our requests and questions. We were able to book them 2 years in advance, and gratuity was included, which is super helpful when you're trying to figure out your budget and what extra costs you'll incur.

For cocktail hour, our menu included shrimp with a garlic aioli, mini crabcakes, duck confit in a crepe with a plum sauce, and fried mac & cheese, as well as crab dip, and fruit & cheese stations. There were seasonal salads served with gouda cheese. Our buffet was Maryland rockfish, beef tips in a burgundy sauce, mushroom risotto, and grilled vegetables (our guests raved about the entire fish that was being sliced before them, and our local friends said they had never seen a rockfish that large!). Our dessert bar was cheesecake cake pops (with either rainbow sprinkles, coconut shavings, or oreo crumbs), grilled fruit with ginger syrup, and their homemade s'mores on a stick. There was something for everyone, and many of our guests told us they had never had such great food at a wedding before! We also went for the full open-bar package with a specialty cocktail of orange-infused rum in sweet tea.

I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Top Tier Food, Service, and Professionalism

We initially chose Rouge because they were one of the required caterers for our venue. But they were outstanding, start to finish. Easy to work with, accommodating in so many ways, and the food was SO GOOD. One of the guests at our wedding mentioned this was the best passed apps (service + quality) he’d ever experienced. Even amidst a staffing change a month before our wedding, the events team at Rouge was so professional and knew how to execute everything we wanted perfectly. The service team was friendly, polite, and speedy on the day-of. Highly recommend.

Friggin amazing

The staff at Rouge, specifically Amanda and Abby, were super responsive and amazing. They were super helpful with our wedding planning process and let us make adjustments to our menu along the way.

The food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of our guests were super happy with it and we got so many compliments on the menu. My husband is gluten free and Amanda was sure to provide us with a menu that accommodated his food restrictions.

A Wonderful Wedding Experience

We had a wonderful wedding experience with Rouge Fine Catering. Everything was so well presented and any questions we had were always promptly answered. Working with Julia was a dream. She was extremely helpful, very organized, and personable throughout the entire process. We had a tasting and several meetings to solidify our plan for the day. Our food and passed appetizers were very good. We received several compliments on all of the food and the bar. Staff worked very hard on the day and were very attentive. When I started planning my wedding, the one thing I knew I wanted was Rouge. I went to a friend's wedding the year before who used them, and the food was delicious! They had me at the mac and cheese bar. And once I started working with Rouge, and Emily in particular, I knew I made the right choice. She was so knowledgeable and helped us pick a wonderful menu while giving us an awesome price. Our friends and family are still talking about how delicious our food was! My brother got engaged a few months later, and they immediately set up a meeting to book Rouge for their upcoming wedding. Also, Rouge is definitely more than a caterer as they helped with setting up, breaking down, answering questions, making suggestions, helping with decorating, etc. I really just can't say enough wonderful things about working with them.

Rouge was absolutely stellar. I have zero regrets hiring them as our caterer. The food was fabulous (and beautifully presented). Several guests commented on the awesome appetizers during our cocktail hour, and the roasted chicken. We worked with Jordan and she was great--friendly, professional, experienced. I would recommend Rouge to anyone. They are a well-oiled, large machine, but they I never felt like I was working with a large corporation. They maintain a small-town, friendly feel. And they make fabulous food.

First Clasd Caterer

Rouge catered my daughter’s wedding and everything was perfect; from the floor plan, table settings, drinks, and especially the staff. The food was out of this world! I’m still getting compliments about the meal. We had a plated dinner service that would equal a 5-star restaurant. We highly recommend Rouge to anyone looking for a first class caterer.

My husband and I were so very, very lucky to have Rouge Fine Catering host our wedding celebration in April 2016. From the moment we reached out to the Rouge team, the experience was extremely professional, reliable, collaborative and fun. The first tasting sealed the deal and all subsequent tastings with other caterers didn't compare to Rouge. The food was absolutely outstanding, but what impressed me even more was how much we felt like they wanted to work with us to make us happy. I knew we were going to be in great hands with Rouge and they did not disappoint.

Leading up to the wedding we were in constant communication with our catering manager, Katie Canarr. Saying that Katie is fantastic,dedicated to executing flawless events, a true partner, and a thoughtful leader may just be the understatement of the year. Katie exercised a tremendous amount of patience with our multiple menu flips and flops. She helped me work out our very tricky seating plan, our linen selections, the event's signature drink, last minute rental needs (hello space heaters in April!). Did I mention she dreamed up the world's best donut bar?? Also, I never had to track Katie down. She was always one step ahead of me guiding me through the process. Katie is an absolute rock star and our special day would not have been the same without her.

On our wedding day, everything was absolutely flawless.The Rouge staff was top notch and we even had guests comment on the level of professionalism that their team displayed.

Did I mention the food??? IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. It's been almost six months since our wedding and I still have family and friends talking about how delicious the food at our wedding was (seriously, when does that actually happen??). And they are not just saying it....they are gushing talking about specific items that they ate.

I would recommend Rouge to anyone. Thank your Rouge team for making the most important day of our life so easy, memorable and tasty!!

We will always recommend and hire Rouge fine catering anytime. Their food especially the coconut shrimps left our guest gushing. Their team members especially Amanda T. was extremely professional and did all she could to take care of us and our guest. Most importantly, I will recommend Rouge because of their flexibility allowing us to use a client provided bar for our guest. This was a deal breaker for us.

While planning our wedding, my husband and I wanted 3 things: Good food, good drink, and a great DJ. We didn’t want the “chicken cordon Bleu”, chandeliers, and ornate but wanted simplicity, rustic elegance, and delicious BBQ. Price was a concern since we paid for our own wedding. We contacted Rouge and set up a tasting with Katelyn. We were a bit hesitant as Rouge does some pretty big events but as soon we arrived, we felt like we were valued customers to Rouge even with a smaller wedding size. They offered numerous side dishes that we could pair with the main courses and a dessert platter that was very tasty and provided a lot of variety. Don’t be fooled by the backyard image that the word BBQ evokes – this was some of, if not the best pulled pork and grilled chicken we’ve ever tasted! The green beans were cooked perfectly and the beef was juicy and flavorful. Sold!

Katelyn was quick to respond to emails and was very flexible even when we were still turning in circles trying to make final decisions. She initiated contact with our venue to ensure that everything would go smoothly. On the wedding day, the staff were extremely professional, warm, and seemed genuinely happy to be at our reception. Upon arrival, the main server greeted me (and sadly I didn’t get her name but she was great!) and simply said ‘let us know if you need anything at all at anytime tonight’. It was a simple greeting, but allayed any nerves we felt. She even personally delivered our “bride” and “groom” cozies with an ice-cold beer in them during the photos after the ceremony. What perfect timing! The food was hot, ready on time, presented beautifully, and most importantly TASTED ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We had numerous guests approach us and comment on how delicious everything was. The crab fondue was a huge hit with all the guests! We highly, highly recommend Rouge for catering. We will absolutely use them again for our next event! They delivered *the* best food at a wonderful price!

Wedding reception

Words can not describe how pleased we were with Rouge thus past weekend. Our phones have not stopped ringing with compliments on the food and service . Chef Jeremy’s quality of food and beautiful displays are second to
None. Thank you to the entire staff. Nadja was amazing. So attentive to everything and everyone. The bride and groom and parents were taken care of all night. Every detail was seen too... the vision came to life! She was courteous and thorough throughout the entire year. Thank you to the entire serving staff. The bar was on point... never a line . Rouge is extremely professional while maintaining the small business feel that every bride wants. The number of compliments on our wedding food was incredible (not surprising based on our tastings!!). Rouge went above and beyond our expectations in helping plan our menu, coming up with multiple options within our budget, and sticking with us while we made change after change. From our first tasting through the end of our event, Rouge took the lead and handled everything we needed. Nicki was our coordinator on the day of the event, and she was amazing. When she met us at the venue to plan in the weeks before the wedding, she stepped up HUGE and managed more about the day than we could have imagined from a caterer. The staff was amazing, professional, and made us feel like we didn't have a care in the world during our day. Rouge provides the most amazing experience; they are not just another wedding caterer. They provide top restaurant quality food and it wowed our guests from start to finish. We said multiple times that Rouge was the best decision we made and we would choose them again and again. The food was a really important piece of our wedding--both my husband and I (and are families) really believe in "Eat, Drink, & Be Merry", so we spent a lot of time researching and talking to various caterers in our area. Rouge was the first tasting we had and the bar was set so high -- everything from the service, to the food, to the impeccably-kept kitchens and storage facilities -- everything about Rouge screamed professional. Initially, we had a bit of sticker shock when looking for catering--none of us had any experience with an event this size (~150 people), so we were a bit surprised with the quoted cost. However, after having tastings at two other facilities, we just could not get over the quality and professionalism that Rouge offered for the quoted price. It was a no brainer.

Anna was awesome, from start to finish, fielding my random emails and basically making everything happen exactly as we wanted! She was an awesome liaison between me and the venue; and the venue owner kept saying how excited he was to be working with Rouge because they are so good at what they do. On the day of the wedding, guests were fed amazing food and really enjoyed themselves. I cannot say enough great things about Anna and everyone at Rouge who helped contribute to a really wonderful day. Highly recommend!!

We had a wedding reception of over 200 guests. Thanks to the blizzard in January 2016, we also had to cancel our original reception date (2 days before) and reschedule for later in the year. Rouge was able to help us meet these planning challenges and we are extremely happy with the outcome.

In terms of the food: Rouge makes available an incredible number of options for passed appetizers, main meals, and desserts. You are best off if you have a pretty defined vision of what you're looking for. We had fewer defined ideas about food and struggled with the options, but Rouge's professionals were able to help guide us through the process. We were especially pleased with the appetizers - and Rouge experts were very helpful in fine tuning our entree selections after we left our tasting feeling like we had a dual plated selection where the two preparations were too strong in flavor and needed to be better paired. When we had to reschedule our reception from the winter to the summer, Rouge was fabulous about working with us to substitute some winter menu items (e.g., a hot chocolate bar) for some great summer seasonal items (e.g., working off menu to work with us to provide a bubble tea bar instead!). (The bubble tea bar was a HUGE hit.)

In terms of service: the Rouge team are professional and cooperative and energetic. One of the best things Rouge offers is a coordinator who will take you through planning and the day of - who will not only direct Rouge's operations and logistics but can also serve as point for coordinating with your many other vendors on the day of the event. Because of our date change, we had to work with two different coordinators, but they worked closely with each other and with us to make the transition very smooth.

The liquor package that Rouge offers is a very good deal. We wanted to do more customization of beer and wine. We did upgrade the beer options, but gave up on our ideal wines. But overall v happy w Rouge.

All Around Fantastic

Rouge was amazing to work with for our wedding. From our first inquiry through to days even after our wedding day we felt like part of the family. It was always easy to get in touch with someone and they made sure our day went off without a problem! Eli was an awesome day of event manager. And the food was AMAZING! All our guests raved about everything. We were able to attend part of our cocktail hour, so we had some hors d’oeuvres with our guests and we had our own plate waiting for us when we got to our dinner table. Our entrée was phenomenal, and this bride had a clean plate! We were able to customize the bar and we had two specialty cocktails. Rouge had our cake baked by Sugar Bakers and cupcakes from Flavor Cupcakery and everything was delicious. We highly recommend Rouge Fine Catering!

I hate to clutter up Wedding Wire with yet another 5-star review (there seem to be far too many on here, generally speaking) - but Rouge was really excellent. We worked primarily with Celeste and Heather.

One of my top priorities for our wedding was to have food that was ACTUALLY good (I've truly never had good food at a wedding before), and to offer adequate carnivore AND vegetarian/vegan options. They were very flexible and created our menu from suggestions of what we like to eat, not just picking out things from a long list of typical wedding foods, and they identified local sources for the meat, which was very important to us (and they tend to do anyway). They were very flexible about the alcohol too and were able to offer a lot of options for our money. They also provided signage about all the food so people knew where the meats came from and whether or not there was a vegetarian/vegan option available. We had lots of picky little requests that they accommodated for us (and followed through on).

They were extremely responsive throughout the whole process. Our guests all said the food was so good, and even the vegans were satiated (which never happens at weddings!). The staff were really great too, and everything went very smoothly. Celeste even graciously coached us through the cake cutting ceremony (the groom and I had no idea what we were doing!).

We had a really hard time deciding which caterer to use, and I think either of our top two choices would have been great, but we definitely have no regrets about choosing Rouge. I just wish I had had more time to EAT during our wedding! (But, Celeste made sure to get us plates of everything throughout the evening so we could at least attempt to eat, and they sent us home with plenty of leftovers).

It's been almost three months since our wedding and I am STILL hearing from people how much they loved our food. Rouge was such a great company to work with and Regina first, and then Emily, made the process completely stress-free. I also enjoyed that we were able to meet and talk with Chef Jonathan and he wasn't just hidden away in the kitchen. Although we went through maybe an extra tasting or so than most couples, we never heard complaints and Emily definitely helped us craft the perfect menu to blend our tastes and backgrounds. From the mini lobster salad rolls and cheesesteaks to the "Korean" beef sundae, everything was delicious. Emily and her staff were SO great on the day of the wedding. Rouge really does everything well down to the smallest details. The bacon wrapped scallops were served on rosemary skewers, which I had never seen and thought it added such a nice touch! We have never felt more like royalty! Our plates were served for us (with exactly what we each wanted without having to ask, lobster for me, cheesesteak for my husband) and felt like every time I turned around someone was handing me a drink or checking up to see if we needed anything. Rouge also provided our cupcakes for us for dessert and they were delicious--definitely no need for an outside cake vendor when working with them! We definitely could go on and on about how delicious the food was at a very reasonable price, but really it came down to the great service we received from Emily throughout the entire process, and her and her team on the day of that makes us highly recommend Rouge to anyone for their special events.

Incredible caterer

Rouge was an OUTSTANDING catering company.

Of course, their food is just incredible - we knew immediately after our tasting that Rouge was going to be our choice. At our wedding some of the most popular items were the scallops and the mini mac n cheese skillets.

The thing that really set Rouge apart was the way they treated us so special from day one. Celeste, Lindsay, and Kaitlin always made themselves available whenever we wanted to meet, and they listened to each request, and took great care of our vision for the wedding. It was a wonderful stress off my plate to have such a reliable and kind vendor taking care of such a critical part of our reception.

We used Rouge for not only food, but the open bar, table and chair rentals, dishware, and linens. They were even able to help us with an outdoor patio heater! On top of all that- they turned around our venue, the B&O railroad in less than 2 hours, and they made that room look absolutely stunning.

When we arrived at the reception after the ceremony, I was to delighted to have Kaitlin and Celeste ready to meet me and my husband right at the entrance, with a tray full of appetizers for us to enjoy before greeting our guests. They also packed us two complimentary to-go meals, since they knew we wouldn't get around to eating very much during the reception.

I cannot express how thankful I am for Rouge elevating our wedding night into a delicious, loving, and stress-free celebration. I HIGHLY recommend you pick them as your caterer if you're in the Baltimore area.
