I cannot over emphasize how thankful I am to have hired Nico to officiate our wedding ceremony. Other than our wedding planner and the venue itself, I honestly think Nico was the best investment we made in our wedding day.
We had to ask Nico to travel quite a hefty and inconvenient distance for us. Sure, when you add up travel fees and regular booking costs, we certainly could have saved some money by hiring an officiant closer to our venue. However, by spending the extra money to hire Nico, we got much more than just the best wedding officiant ever. We also got a vow consultant, a social media documentarian, an extra videographer, a very fun extra reception guest for what ended up being a micro-wedding, and most importantly, a friend :)
What Nico does is create a fully bespoke ceremony script that will function as the beginning to the experience that will be your wedding day. He treats the ceremony as an integral part of the whole day, rather than a formality that everyone except the couple will inevitably forget. My husband and I live in Las Vegas, where there are hundreds of people offering impersonator services to artificially create a unique and memorable wedding ceremony. Rather than throw on an Elvis costume and rehash the same script for hundreds of couples each year, Nico spends a lot of time listening to you as a couple and as individuals. He uses his talents as a screenwriter to tell your story in a comedic, dramatic, cinematic, and wholly memorable fashion. He finds ways of making your story relatable, funny, and PG even when it may not be.
Our guests were all so impressed by Nico’s writing and delivery of our ceremony. Even people we’ve known since the beginning of our relationship said they felt like they learned something new about us. Like I said, even though we only hired Nico for the ceremony, he was kind enough to stick around and be an additional guest at our reception. After dealing with multiple last minute drop outs in addition to the usual turnout you get with a remote and rural destination wedding, we really appreciated the upbeat energy Nico brought to our entire wedding day.
So, if you are like us and you want your ceremony to be a fun opening act to the best party you’ll ever throw, I’m not lying when I say, HIRE MR. ROMCOM WEDDINGS! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! There is truly no one else like him, and his services are one of a kind.

Just hire Nico already!
Wow. Wow. And another WOW! Nico was a fantastic officiant at my wedding. So kind and professional. Once my partner and I met Nico via Zoom, we knew his humor and charisma were just what we wanted at our ceremony. And Nico certainly delivered with his background in screenwriting/filmmaking. From a video interview and couple questionnaires, he was able to craft a wonderful retelling of my love story with my partner. He then tied it all together with a movie quote from one my favorite films When Harry Met Sally. I don't think I could've told it any better!
Before the ceremony, I was a bit nervous. But Nico put my partner and I at ease by going over a quick gameplan with us. And everything ran smoothly. The crowd was full of joy and laughs. During the reception, multiple guests came up to us and raved about Nico and said it was one of the best ceremonies they have ever attended.

If you are looking for an officiant who brings heart, humor, presence, professionalism, and pure storytelling magic, Nico is the one. We had a very specific vision for our ceremony, for it to be the most important part of our wedding day, to be community centered rooted in equality and partnership. Nico delivered that and so much more. He took his time to know us with a few zoom calls and over 100 emails. The ceremony made us feel relaxed, in love, and fully present the entire time. It genuinely felt like he reinforced everything my husband and I believe about our relationship and the way we show up for each other.
We’re huge fans of storytelling, so we wanted an officiant who could tell our love story with all the twists and turns; basically, something worthy of a TLC episode. Nico knocked it out of the ballpark!!! He even made a surprise entrance that had everyone excited for the ceremony. We wanted someone who could fly by the seat of his pants, and he did exactly that. At one point I interrupted him mid ceremony with an additional comment, and he didn’t miss a beat! He kept the flow going perfectly. Although he typically delivers a 30 minute ceremony, we asked for something longer with a modified unity ceremony, modified traditional vows, and a modified ring warming ritual. He took his time, honored every request, and somehow still made it feel shorter than 30 minutes. Multiple people asked, “Wait… that was really 45 minutes? It felt like 15!”
Friends even asked if he was our cousin because he fit in so naturally with everyone. He even picked up inside jokes from our families and wove them into the ceremony. We included a unity ceremony that only the bride’s parents and siblings knew, and afterward my parents could not stop raving at how it was the most perfect execution they could have ever wished for. The father of the groom said Nico captured our love with both the bride and groom in equal parts; exactly what we asked for when we told him we wanted a ceremony centered on equality and partnership. He didn’t just meet that request; he exceeded it by showing how we practice that in our love story. My brother even asked Nico if he would officiate his wedding in 15 years when he’s around 29 or 30. And honestly, the ceremony became the highlight for so many guests. A few couples left absolutely love infested and joked about wanting to get married within a year with a similar ceremony. Our guests were literally obsessed.
He also went above and beyond with logistics. Even though we had already looked into the marriage license process, Nico personally called the county clerk’s office to make sure every “T” was crossed and every “I” was dotted so we’d be fully prepared. That level of care meant everything.
His communication was always respectful and professional, even when discussing financial details. Especially when we were negotiating travel and lodging, he stayed patient, flexible, and kind. He never made us feel uncomfortable or difficult. He worked with us every step of the way.
We recommend Nico wholeheartedly. He’s professional, reasonable, creative, and always prepared with contingency plans. He’s open to fun ideas (he didn’t even blink at our dramatic entrance request), and he brings genuinely good suggestions of his own. Nico didn’t just understand the assignment… he redefined it. We are so grateful that we found Nico to be our officiant! Our ceremony was completely personalized, hilarious, and heartfelt in a way that we didn’t even know was possible when we first started envisioning our wedding day.
We interviewed a lot of potential officiants but immediately felt at home with Nico. We booked him right away with the package that gave us multiple Zoom calls with him as a couple and also as individuals. Those calls were some of our favorite memories of the entire wedding planning process. He spent hours getting to know us, asking us a combination of lighthearted and deeper questions about us as individuals and about the entire course of our relationship, from many years ago to present day. It felt like talking to a good friend and reminiscing about our lives. He asked us what we wanted the vibe/tone of the ceremony to be, if there were any boundaries/dynamics to worry about, and all the other details needed to put us at ease. It was clear to us that Nico cared immensely about his craft but also about us as people.
The ceremony itself blew us away. He turned the whole thing into a rom com-style love story that was completely unique to us, based on all his notes from the many hours we had spent together in the months leading up to our wedding day. We (and our guests) laughed, cried, and everything in between. Many of our guests and vendors said it was the best and the most unique ceremony they had ever attended. We can’t recommend him enough.

We are so grateful to have found Nico. From our Zoom call to the moment he officiated our ceremony, it felt like we’d known him for years. Hands down, the BEST ceremony ever!
Hands down, the BEST ceremony ever! We cannot say enough amazing things about RomCom Weddings! I had multiple guests tell me our ceremony was the best they’ve ever been to, it had the perfect balance of romance and comedy that truly felt like us. It was heartfelt, funny, and meaningful all at once. Even though Nico was already booked for our wedding day, he went above and beyond to accommodate us by having his fill-in, Dan, step in. Nico is a one-of-a-kind officiant. The way Nico brought our love story to life is unreal! We opted for package A, we wanted to really invest in our ceremony and it was the best decision ever. If you want a truly one of a kind, ultra-personalized wedding that's both fun and romantic, Nico is your officiant. Even if you don't want that for some reason, he is your guy. My now wife and I had no idea where to even begin planning a wedding. We just knew we wanted it to be a little different and very special. Then we found RomCom Weddings. And you can't fake this--Nico is the real deal. All the other vendors we had at our wedding came up to us to say, "this guy's GOOD."

Absolutely wonderful ceremony
Nico was such an amazing part of my daughter’s wedding day. The officiant begins setting the tone, and Nico’s warm, committed and humorous nature enhanced the ceremony. So many guests made it a point to say how refreshing the ceremony was. Nico truly got to know my daughter and son-in-law through personal individual meetings as well as couple meetings which made the ceremony so personal and touching. As the mom, he was so perfectly easy and pleasant to connect with. A truly nice person who does a truly wonderful job. Thank you Nico!

We totally recommend him as an officiant if you are looking for someone responsible and professional, someone who is like a friend to stand next to you on your wedding day when you might be nervous! He is very warm and reliable.
Nico made our wedding ceremony so memorable and meaningful. He is such a great story teller, lots of people said they loved the story and never experienced this kind of wedding before.
We had a zoom call and questionnaire where he asked us some thoughtful questions about everything we had been through. On the wedding day he told our story in a fun and beautiful way. The ceremony was emotional and full of smiles and laughter thanks to him.

Nico joked in the ceremony that it seemed silly for us to have hired him when I didn't even think our story was romantic and my husband has a strong aversion to any sort of romance. But I know that whether it's SciFi, a murder mystery, or a romcom; what my husband and I do share a love for is an epic tale. And that is what Nico gave us. Storytelling is part of the human condition. We use stories to help us create a sense of self, to understand our own experiences, and to create a connection with one another. While we are all able to narrate our own lives to some degree and answer harrowing questions at parties like "how did you two meet?" creating a compelling story for others is a true art. There are a million plots out there that are essentially the same: boy meets girl, boy and girl have contempt for one another, boy and girl realize there is a fine line between love and hate, boy and girl get together and live happily ever after. What sets the classics such as When Harry Met Sally or Pride and Prejudice apart, is how the writer creates the connection between the characters and their audience, and how their story is then told. Nico's ability to fill our story with humor, tenderness, and love connected us to each of our guests and turned our 13 year relationship into a classic tale I want to enjoy again and again. I never questioned choosing Nico to be our officiant and I'm so grateful for all the work he put in to make our day as special as it was.RomCom Weddings's reply:

I was absolutely blown away by how amazing our ceremony was – and it’s all thanks to Nico! Nico truly crafted an experience, meeting a few times before the wedding to get to know us better and hear our stories of how we met each other in order to write the perfect “meet cute” love story for our ceremony. He also helped us with our vows – and on our big day, we realized with delight that he had written a series of small themes and touchpoints in his speech and each of our vows that wove it all together beautifully.
Nico helped us realize in our first meeting – the ceremony IS the wedding. That really clicked for us, so after we heard that we went from thinking of it as a “formality before the party” to “the experience that brings us all together.” He helped us include a mindfulness moment and even a moment where we gave our guests 30 seconds to take selfies with us in an otherwise unplugged ceremony. So much fun!
Thanks to Nico’s expertise, we were able to create a truly magical experience that became the highlight of the whole wedding! People were talking about the ceremony all night and I had not one but SEVERAL guests tell me that it was the best ceremony they’ve ever been to. Thank you so much, Nico!!
PS: Nico is fun and easy to work with, so the prep sessions turned out to be a fantastic ramp up that helped my hubby and me remember all the wonderful details of how we met and fell in love. The whole experience was truly magical!RomCom Weddings's reply:

Hello everyone!
Nico went above and beyond my wife and I's expectations! He married us August 19th and travelled all the way to Long Beach to do so. His personal and heartfelt ceremony perfectly encapsulated not only our story, but told it in a way that brought all our guests together through laughter and tears of joy. Everyone of my guests asked if Nico and I knew each other before hand or where we met? I believe this was the case because the ceremony was so personal, detailed and legitimately thoughtful. Something we loved about Nico was how receptive he was to what we were looking for in an officiant. We wanted a non-denominational ceremony that was heartfelt, but lighthearted as well. I've been to so many weddings in which the ceremony itself almost felt like a dry chore to get through.... this was NOT the case with Nico. Everyone had a wonderful time and I am so glad that my wife and I chose him to tell our story on our behalf. His eloquence and humor perfectly captured the tone we wanted for our wedding. Nico made it very easy to apply for a marriage license, clarifying each step and ensuring we knew what documentation we needed and where we needed it. Nico truly saved the day! Our family member had something come up to where he could no longer officiate our wedding a month before our wedding. Our amazing wedding planner immediately recommended Nico. After the initial meeting with Nico, my husband and I knew he was the one. We instantly clicked and he completely understood the assignment, an Alice in wonderland, steampunk wedding, with every syfy, fantasy and 90s films included. He took the time and paid such attention to detail, that we truly felt like family.
Now to the wedding. Our ceremony was literally the BEST part of our wedding, we laughed, we cried, and we swooned all together. All of our guests were completely blown away and told us it was the best ceremony they have ever seen. We wanted it to be anything but normal, and he did that and so much more!
I would 1000000000019201109282/10 would recommend. Stop using family and friends and hire an actual professional. It truly made what a wedding is actually for soooooo more enjoyable and memorable!

On the best day of our lives, Nico's ceremony was a highlight
How to find the words to describe what Nico brought to our wedding? It was truly magical, heartfelt, intimate, and romantic. From the beginning, Nico was a joy to work with as we met with him together and separately to discuss our relationship, our wedding, and the kind of ceremony we were envisioning. Nico is an excellent listener and communicator; he made sure to keep our priorities at the forefront while making insightful suggestions and helping us in areas where we weren't sure what we wanted to do. Our conversations with him didn't feel like vendor meetings, but rather easy discussions with a friend about the biggest moments of our lives. Once he had written the ceremony, he asked if we wanted to see it ahead of time or hear it for the first time on the day of. We chose the latter, and we're so glad we did. The ceremony was absolutely amazing, beyond what we could have hoped for. It sounds like a cliche, but he had our guests laughing uproariously one moment and in tears of joy the next. There was literally not a dry eye in the room. I've never been to a wedding where everyone -- guests, couples, other vendors -- were so taken by the ceremony. For us, the experience of looking into each other's eyes, laughing and crying as Nico perfectly encapsulated our relationship and our hopes for the future was an experience we will truly never forget. There is no doubt in our mind that Nico will soon be the most in-demand officiant in Los Angeles, so do yourself a favor and book him while you can!RomCom Weddings's reply:

Nico was the officiant at a wedding I photographed recently. The couple are dear friends of mine, and it was amazing to hear him weave together their love story in such a thoughtful way with so many laughs and a few happy tears. The ceremony was heartful, touching, and filled with love and humor - a perfect reflection of the couple he was marrying.
Not only was his ceremony fantastic, but he was also very approachable and kind. It's probably why the couple trusted him and didn't read his ceremony beforehand. This was truly the best gift they could give themselves as they got to re-experience their love story through his words all over again and be genuinely surprised with laughter, making for great photos.

Nico was an amazing officiant for the wedding of my son Scott to his now bride Alison! He took the time to learn about each of them separately and together and wove what he learned into a beautiful, sincere, and very heart-warming and entertaining ceremony! I believe I reached out and received a response from Nico same day on January 1st!
We were looking to plan a last minute wedding (Jan 27th) and Nico was responsive, willing and able. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and individually. Our ceremony and personalized vows he created for us were flawless! We asked for rom-com and that’s exactly what we got. We laughed and cried during our ceremony and our guests did too!
If I had to do this again (I hope not lol), I would choose Nico again!

Nico is the best
We were looking for an officiant who was willing to put in the time and effort to make our day even more special. Nico exceeded our expectations! We wanted someone who could convey the joy in our relationship and really get our sense of humor and Nico took the time to sit with each of us individually to get to know us as people, as a couple, and to learn our story. He surprised us with the incredible detail that he was able to glean from our relationship!
