Jarvis was our photographer for our wedding this past September and to say that he impressed would be a wild understatement. We were impressed with his work before we even reached out, and all the way to the wedding day he kept raising the bar higher. He was a calming presence before and during our wedding, and partied with us during the reception, all while capturing every moment. Everyone who attended our wedding first told us how much fun they had, then immediately brought up how much they loved our photographer!! Literally sliding onto the dance floor to capture photos that you can’t get anywhere else, we wholeheartedly recommend Rocksteady for your wedding. -

My fiancé and I had never had photos done together before we found Rocksteady Images. Based on the amazing reviews we had very high hopes that our engagement shoot would go great. Our photographer Jarvis exceeded our expectations which I didn't even think were possible. He captured our relationship perfectly on camera. Just by looking at the photos you can see and feel the love we have for each other and in that specific moment. Our families are obsessed with them and agree that our relationship was so perfectly caught on camera. We both went into the photo shoot feeling nervous and when we met up with Jarvis he made all of the nervous worried feelings disappear within the first five minutes of talking to him. He is the kindest, most down to earth, personable and coolest photographer I've ever had the pleasure of working with. My fiancé (who never cared for having photos taken) now hopes we can make it a traditional special activity we do every year for our anniversary. Jarvis will 100% be our wedding photographer for our reception next year. We don't have a set date for it yet since we are getting married in Ireland this November but if I have to I will work my reception around his schedule. He is the only one I trust with the job and if I could take him with us to Ireland I would. I can't recommend him enough. Jarvis is beyond talented and knows how to make you feel so comfortable during the whole process and plus he's like a magic sorcerer behind the camera. You know the photos will come out magical! -

We loved working with them throughout our whole engagement process and they were 10/10 at our wedding! They are the best team and they truly became friends to us! The BEST experience with the greatest people
Jarvis and Leah were suggested to us by a friend. After looking at their wedding pictures, we immediately fell in love with the candid emotion that these two capture in every photo. Rocksteady's pictures speak for themselves, but what we were truly so lucky to have was the friendship we made in this beautiful couple. Our wedding was one of the many that had to be rescheduled due to COVID 19. My husband and I made the decision to get married still on June 20, 2020 and have a big party later that year to celebrate. As we told Jarvis and Leah this, there was no hesitation and they IMMEDIATELY started planning and replanning the schedule for our photos for our special day in June. They made us truly feel excited for our day and promised to be there, quarantining and all, for our special day. Later that year, we had to reschedule our big celebration AGAIN. Throughout this whole entire process, Jarvis and Leah put us and our marriage first and never ever waivered on their commitment to being there for us in all weddings. We had the most amazing celebrations and, to this day, people still talk about how incredibly amazing our photographers were. Beautiful pictures, beautiful memories, and truly beautiful people! Anyone who works with them is lucky, and we feel so very blessed that these two followed our relationship for the past 3 years of planning. Thank you will never be enough!!! -

I am the photographer of my friend group, so my bridal party hired Jarvis for my bridal shower so that I didn't have to worry about the day being captured. I'm quite picky, but my experience with Rocksteady was 100 out of 10. Jarvis captured every detail of the day. And when we received our album, it really told the whole story and the photos were INCREDIBLE. While Jarvis obviously captured awesome posed photos, he also has a photojournalistic style and subtly captured many of the "behind the scenes" moments. Jarvis was truly awesome to work with day-of and made us feel comfortable and really helped with our posing when we felt awkward. I whole-heartedly recommend Rocksteady Images. -

Jarvis was amazing. We had a small home wedding and he was flexible and great to work with. He worked with what we wanted and captured great moments and even suggested certain pictures. Highly recommend! He even reminded me to take mental pictures of my special day. Thank you Jarvis! -

I got married during COVID19. Jarvis and Leah and we’re by my side helping me create over 3 weddings because of all the craziness due to the virus. Each time a crisis began, they were constantly there to listen to me and make the absolute best of each situation regarding my wedding.
Their creativity shines, their teamwork is flawless, their artistry is out of this world.
I had a one photo in particular where I wanted my mother to zip up my dress, but due to the virus I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to have that picture. Thanks to Leah, a fishing pole, and a two story building, that picture was possible and more memorable than I could have ever dreamed.
Most of my family and friends could not be physically there, so my family that was present was able to FaceTime/Zoom chat in my loved ones. Thanks to Jarvis and Leah they took incredible family pictures THROUGH THE PHONE of each family member. That technology allowed my family to be present and Jarvis and Leah had the perfect camera and eye to make that bittersweet memory a beautiful gift that now makes me smile.
They played funny games with me and my groom to make us feel comfortable and capture the sweetest moments.
2 weeks before the actual wedding, over FaceTime I told my photographers I was going to have a drive in wedding, id be wearing masks and gloves, if stay 6 feet apart from my loved ones, and I was going to end the night in a mud fight.
They took all of this crazy information, and turned it into a perfect wedding day. To most photographers, they would have probably called us crazy, but only Jarvis and Leah could take a crazy situation like this, and turn it into a fairytale dream wedding.
They are truly gifted people. If you choose Rocksteady, I ASSURE you, you are in the best of hands. -

The best wedding decision we made
Jarvis and Leah are truly the best of the best and I wish I could give them MORE than 5 stars. Rocksteady is above and beyond wedding photography - it is so clear and tangible how much they care for the couples they work with and you know that on your wedding day they are just as invested as you are.
More than taking absolutely stunning photography and capturing beautiful, genuine moments on our wedding day, they were a comforting presence to have - which is so important on such a stressful and emotional day! I really can’t recommend Rocksteady enough. If you are looking for beautiful wedding photos that capture not only the bride and groom but the family, wedding party, guests, scenery and details, you need to hire Rocksteady!! -

Jarvis and Leah, aka Rocksteady, were the best wedding photographers! Throughout the entire process of working with them, from doing a video chat early on to get to know each other before making any decisions, to receiving our full set of wonderful wedding photos, we were impressed with their dedication, talent, and general awesomeness. They really made an effort to get to know us, understand our particular preferences, make us comfortable, and create beautiful photographs that were personal and fitting for us. Jarvis and Leah are genuinely kind and considerate people, and they are very professional and experienced - but also fun to be around. Friends of ours had used Rocksteady for their wedding, and we had heard good things from the couple as well as the wedding party. Our own research of their website and reviews compared to other options, plus a video chat with Jarvis and Leah solidified our decision. We selected a package that included an engagement photo session, and we were very happy with that decision. Not only did we get some excellent photos, but we also appreciated having the opportunity to get to know Rocksteady and their style in advance of our wedding. Plus, we truly enjoyed the session, due in part to Jarvis and Leah’s friendliness, ability to put us at ease, and willingness to go along with our ideas. Our package also included a venue visit during which we and the Rocksteady duo scoped out our wedding venue for great photo opps a couple months before the wedding. That was very helpful and, again, a nice chance to connect with our wedding photographers before the wedding day. Jarvis and Leah were also very helpful in planning in advance an itinerary of photos / events for our wedding day. Their advice was valuable and we really appreciated that they were so organized. On the day of our wedding, it was no surprise that Jarvis and Leah were fantastic and surpassed our expectations. They were professional, organized, and prepared, as well as being a positive, comforting, and fun influence. They both looked out for us and stayed attuned to our wishes while also crushing it on the photography front all day. Jarvis and Leah make such a great team. Plus, it really made a difference that we felt a strong personal connection to them by the time it was our wedding day - being photographed for your wedding is a very personal experience, and we think it was more enjoyable and special (and less awkward!) having our photographers be people with whom we had already bonded. We received a handful of preview photos from Rocksteady shortly after our wedding, and they were all fantastic. We were thrilled when we received our full set of photos, as they were also spectacular. Rocksteady did an excellent job of capturing so many aspects of our wedding day through beautiful photos. We are grateful for Jarvis and Leah’s part in making our wedding amazing, and we would highly recommend them to any couple looking for outstanding wedding photographers. -

Choosing Rocksteady images was the best decision of our entire wedding. There are a million reasons why I would recommend Jarvis & Leah to any bride and groom but I will focus on just a few here.
TRUST: This dynamic duo are masters at their craft. They are creative geniuses. From the moment we met them I knew they had it handled. I fully trusted them to capture every moment perfectly. Not once during the process was I worried if I was going to get the photos I wanted on my wedding day.
ORGANIZATION: These 2 know how to plan! They scheduled everything out to the minute and coordinated a wedding party of 24 people like aces. They kept everything moving and were able to pivot where needed without stressing anyone out. My entire wedding party was in awe of their masterful organization skills!
CALM: Your wedding day has a lot of moving pieces and you will want Leah & Jarvis by your side keeping the zen. They are such a beautiful couple with the best communication skills I have ever seen. They hit you like a wave of tranquility the moment they walk in the door. I felt a sense of peace my entire wedding day because of them.
LOVE & CARE: Leah & Jarvis became our friends the moment we met them. They embrace you and your wedding day with such love and care. Our wedding party and all our guests also fell in love with them. They pour their heart & soul into everything about your wedding and it is infectious. One month later, and my wedding party is still saying "we miss Leah & Jarvis!"
THE PICTURES: My friends have been in a lot of weddings and everyone keeps saying they have never seen pictures this spectacular. I am truly speechless at the beautiful photos they took. You have got to go with Rocksteady Images for your wedding - trust me! -

These two. Honestly, it took me a long time to write this because of how much these two meant to us at our wedding. Leah and Jarvis were referred to us by a family member, and it was, without question, one of the best things about our wedding.
The first time we met them was over dinner and a drink at a local restaurant. Within the first half hour it felt like we were with friends. We met them several more times before the wedding, each time felt like we were getting together with long lost friends.
The morning of the wedding, I was stressed and filled with anxiety. In walks Jarvis at 9:00am and everything changed the second I saw him. He is a true professional, and a master of his craft. He brought a calm energy that really helped me relax. He knew exactly what he was doing and instantly connected with all of my groomsmen.
I had 12 guys in my wedding party. Jarvis knew all of their names almost immediately. He was like one of the guys, right off the bat. My friends were dumbfounded by how incredible he was and the awesome shots he was taking. Not many people can have 13 guys follow their every command so seamlessly. I can't stress how good Jarvis is at commanding a group and running the show.
Once we got to the venue I got to experience just how talented Leah is as well. Leah photographed my wife and her 12 bridesmaids in the morning, and when my writes her review shes going to heap an unbelievable amount of praise on her. She is amazing and has that same calm energy about her.
The 2 of them work seamlessly. They never make you feel uncomfortable. They are ALWAYS fun to be around and they make every shot an experience. They are quite literally the perfect pair.
When we look back on our wedding, I will forever be grateful to have met Leah and Jarvis, and to have had them photograph our wedding. I can't do them justice.
Hire them. Immediately. -

Professional, superb, friendly, flexible Photo Ninjas
Leah and Jarvis are superb photographers that go above and beyond any expectation you will ever have. While searching through the 100’s of the photographers in the area, my husband and I were very selective in who to choose. Not only was cost, professional experience, style and package options important to us; but we wanted a sense of comfortability and familiarity with a company that would be in charge of capturing one of the most important days of our lives. We met with several different photographers and when we met with Leah and Jarvis, we were incredibly impressed with what they offered.
They worked with our budget and wedding needs, but most importantly their ability to be relatable and personable was heartening. (My bridal party agreed as well). After our contract was set we had several more meetings with Leah and Jarvis. This included a venue trip over an hour and a half away, practice clicks session (we opted out of the engagement photos), and coming to our rehearsal dinner to meet the bridal party/family members/church personal. By the time our wedding rolled around, my husband and I started to consider them friends. The day of the wedding Jarvis’s organized schedule helped keep our 18 person party on track; even when weather did not cooperate for a portion of the day.
In summary they are a perfect pick. Leah and Jarvis’s photography techniques complement each other so you get a blend of styles in your prints. They are extremely professional, organized, and their ninja skills are superb (they do everything in their power to not be in photos yet still get amazing shots- hence ninja skills).
We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

They captured images we will treasure forever and were completely flexible and gracious when our entire shot list needed to be rearranged due to a (literal) blizzard. They were a blast to spend time with throughout the whole process. Jarvis was so responsive to every email/detail about the day and everything went off without a hitch. Highly recommend them!

We were provided with an amazing timeline to layout the moments that would be captured, time frames, and meeting points. This helped to ease the stress of everything else a bride needs to deal with on her big day. Their artistic soulful vision translates perfectly through the lens. When we first met Jarvis, aka Rocksteady Images, we knew that he was different. He put in the effort to genuinely build a relationship with us through every step of the process. Going into our engagement photoshoot, we started off timid in front of the camera. However, we left with smiles on our faces and a brand new friend, in Jarvis. On the day of our Wedding, Jarvis was a champ. He coached our family into their poses efficiently and worked well with the rest of our wedding vendors. He went the extra mile to capture the beauty, fun, and joy of our special day in his photos. A huge thank you to Jarvis for not only capturing our special moments, but for helping us to make new ones too. -

Some amazing things that made Jarvis stand out:
1. He memorized all of the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and family members names prior to wedding day. This made adjustments in pictures smooth and efficient. It also created an immediate sense of comfort and familiarity.
2. Jarvis was everywhere but never in a bad way. We were on a budget so we decided to just book Jarvis instead of him + his wife as a duo team. Despite this, Jarvis was everywhere! Getting shots from the top of the beach dunes to get an overhead shot of our ceremony and the next second was getting close ups of our first kiss. He was a part of the dance floor and everybody loved him!!
3. He was calm when I was not. I think he could tell I was getting anxious when my bridesmaids were not ready on time and he calmly looked at me and said "we are good on time, wherever we are is right where we need to be." To have this calming voice among the madness of the morning of a diy wedding meant so much to me. Jarvis was not only there to take photos, he was there to make my wedding day the best experience it could be.
Overall, I would Jarvis was amazing and I will definitely be hiring him again for our family events in the future. -
