Teresa has been absolutely wonderful to work with thus far! The ranch is a little spendy, but the price is totally worth it. The food is wonderful and they do a lot of the set up/tear down for you. Complete sanity saver!

I got married at the Rockin' TJ Ranch and could not have asked for a better experience! Teresa's (owner) professionalism and skill shines in her organization and knowledge. She is great at communication, helpful in contacting vendors, and generous in her dealings. I was a very stressed out bride, thinking I had to handle everything on my own. BUT, as it turns out Teresa and her staff are there for you every minute in the planning season and on the day of! On my wedding day I was speechless at the stunning way Teresa pulled everything together to create a beautiful wedding beyond my wildest dreams. Truly cannot recommend this place highly enough!!

Teresa and her team truly worked hard to make our wedding day special. The venue is beautiful and the food was great. Teresa was very hands-on and we truly appreciated all the work she put into making our wedding reception exactly what we wanted. My husband and I are so glad we decided to have our wedding at the Rockin' TJ Ranch! Everything from the initial planning to the taste testing of the menu, to the special day- Teresa and her staff were very accommodating. Their flexibility and willingness to make it special and unique were outstanding. Our out of state families found the ranch to be gorgeous and the staff very hospitable. Dancing outside on the patio under the twinkle lights and a Montana sunset was a highlight. We highly recommend this venue to all!

The Rockin TJ Ranch is a fantastically beautiful venue and Teresa is amazing!! She works tirelessly to ensure that everything at the Ranch is impeccable. In our case, it rained right up until about 20 minutes before the outdoor ceremony was to begin, but, no worries, Teresa and her very friendly and professional staff took care of everything!! It was amazing and the day was perfect!! We also chose to use their catering service and the food was beyond delicious. The green bean and bacon shooters served as an appetizer and the late night snacks were a particularly delightful touch!! Throughout the night family and guests continued to congratulate and compliment on how wonderfully everything turned out. We would highly recommend this venue for whatever your event may be. Thank you Teresa and staff for all your hard work, and a very awesome day - truly impressive!!

It has been almost 1.5 years since my wedding day. I contracted with the venue to take care of everything from the venue set up, decorations, bar tending, food, and take down. There are bound to be hiccups along the way in any coordinated event but Teresa did a great job making sure all of these were addressed as much as possible prior to the event. I initially didn’t hire a wedding planner but changed my mind and I am so glad I did. The day of the wedding was a day I had been planning and dreaming about for more than one year and the last thing any bride should worry about on the big day are details she has been running over and over for the past year. For example: are the water bottles are set out for the ceremony or will the cake will arrive on time? Both of these aforementioned events happened without incident, but my point is this is not what I wanted to think about during our big day. The event was glorious and the scenery was better than I had imagined. Teresa did a wonderful job creating a day that my HUSBAND (this never gets old) and I will remember fondly. Thank you Teresa and staff for all the hard work on one of the most special days of our lives. Having grown up in Bozeman and being familiar with the variety of venues in the area I would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting the quintessential Montana wedding.

We had an event at Rockin TJ for the second time in 3 years. Teresa and her staff do a fantastic job of making an event their top priority. From the decoration and venue design to the excellent food (their flat iron steaks are the best!), I would recommend them for any special occasion.

I just got married here this past week and I couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate my special day. The Rockin' TJ Ranch is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are very well kept with trees and flowers all over and a creek that flows through the property. The owner, Teresa and staff were very friendly and so good at their jobs that planning was easy and on my wedding day I didn't have to worry about anything, they had everything under control. I used their catering service and the food was delicious. I also used several other services through Teresa that I would recommend including our DJ, Mach 1 Music who was awesome. I cannot thank the owner and staff enough for the amazing experience, their kindness and for making my wedding better than I could ever have imagined. No matter what event you're planning I would recommend you choose this amazing venue.

Teresa was very helpful to us for our event, giving us ideas to make it better and well received. She stayed within the budget we had and was willing to provide an exceptional experience for us, even with the limits we imposed. The catering was outstanding, and the venue was beautiful. Teresa and her staff decorated and set up all of the extras.

Working with Teresa at TJ Ranch was such a joy. The venue itself is gorgeous, with the Rocky Mountains in the backdrop, big barn for the recep, and lovely cabin for bridesmaids/groomsmen to stay. Above and beyond the venue, the attentiveness and service by Teresa was flawless. She took care of everything (including helping with transportation for a day trip to YNP after our ceremony), and we couldn't have been happier. She was always there to lend a helping hand, and does a FAB job keeping the venue looking in pristine condition. All of my wedding preparations were made from Singapore, so prompt responses were very important to me. She never disappointed me. I would strongly recommend TJ ranch and Teresa for any event that you're planning-big or small, you'll be in great hands!

My new wife and I got married here in May and could not be more pleased with how great this venue is. We had our rehearsal dinner at Rockin' TJ Ranch the night before and then the reception here the following day. Everything went 100 times more smoothly than we could have ever possibly imagined. Looking back on it, we realize we had nothing to stress over at all and those pre-wedding jitters were something that didn't need to happen. They had everything so dialed in from the food, to timing of the dinner, to keeping everyone organized, you name it they handled it. It really took the stress out of everything for my wife and I and we would recommend this venue to anyone. Plus the obvious bonus here is pure beauty and scenery that this venue entails. We had some truly amazing photo opportunities at this ranch.

My wedding at the Rockin' TJ Ranch was absolutely perfect! It is a gorgeous venue with stunning views. The staff are wonderful and accommodating.

This venue is perfect for anyone but If you are a destination bride I HIGHLY recommend it. I planned the whole thing from California and never once met with any of the vendors before the wedding. They offer a package where the owner, Teresa, will help you arrange vendors and that turned out to be worth every single penny. You are not required to use their preferred vendors, but they are a well-oiled machine and know how to throw an amazing event so I don't see why you wouldn't. Their florist is SO talented and surpassed anything I found on pinterest. I told her I wanted orange lilies in my bouquet and gave her creative freedom beyond that, and they were absolutely gorgeous. Their DJ works weddings there almost every weekend so I didn't have to deal with questions about where to set up or anything like that. The cake was SO good. I wanted a simple, traditional tiered wedding cake and that is what I got. I had carrot cake and it was the best I've ever had.
If you're a destination bride, I recommend buying the "essential additions" package and using all of their people, including hair and makeup. The bridal salon was amazing- so much room to get ready and get dressed. I loved that!

The beautiful venue alone would be worth it, but add the stunning mountain vistas and the expert staff and you get a stress-free, spectacular wedding.

From the minute I stepped onto this beautiful property, I could not only envision my wedding here, but I knew this was the place. The pristine, manicured venue is set right outside of Bozeman and provides a gorgeous view of the Bridger Mountains. My husband and I got married outside with the mountains as our backdrop and it made for the most incredible pictures. We ate dinner inside the beautiful lodge and it was transformed into an elegant, romantic dinner space. Our guests had so much fun roaming around the property while they enjoyed their cocktails and appetizers, and once the dancing started, the outdoor patio was packed all night long.
Teresa and her staff bent over backwards to help make this day everything my husband and I could have dreamed of. I was calm, cool, and collected the week of my wedding because I knew that her kind and hardworking employees were going to get everything perfect. And they did. The venue was immaculate, the lights and decor were intimate, and the food was to die for. Because it was the 4th of July, we ended our night with a spectacular firework show back outside where we got married and it truly made it a magical night! I highly recommend this venue if you want an unforgettable Montana wedding :)

This venue is absolutely beautiful! Teresa was great to work with and helped with all of the details, eliminating much of the pre-wedding stress. It was great to have her dealing with vendors and having everything set and perfect. The food was delicious and she was so open with the menu, including everything we wanted. The staff was very helpful and professional throughout our planning process and were open to helping with everything the few days and weeks before the wedding. The DJ was wonderful, he really knows how to put on a good party. We opted for the photo-booth, which ended up giving us some of the greatest photos from the night. The property is beautifully maintained and looks wonderful in our photos. The field was set up just as we asked. The salon and "getting ready area" on site was great and the hair dresser helped all of us look beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better place for one of the most special days in our lives!

The Rockin TJ Ranch helped me plan and execute a wonderful party for our guests. My husband and I love to garden, can, and cook with fresh and healthy ingredients, and Teresa and her chef had wonderful ideas to showcase this theme. She accommodated my special requests to please vegans as well as carnivores and all of our guests were thrilled with the feast. She made a beautiful appetizer bar with a lovely array of vegetables, dips, fruits, olives, cheeses, and crackers. I wanted a hot beverage bar for a winter wedding and she provided delicious hot cocoa and coffee, whipped cream and sprinkles. We chose apple pie instead of cake and the pie was perfectly delicious. We even got to take the leftover pie home and had it for breakfast the next morning. She brought out late night snacks after the dance, too. We had mini pizzas, and little smores on clothespins she torched on the spot. Delicious!

The suggestions she made for vendors were high quality, but she was also willing to let me use some of my own vendors or do it myself where it mattered to me. We used the on site salon to get ready and it was really fun and cozy to be together so close to the venue. Our day was very personal and Teresa did a beautiful job elevating my ideas into a truly impressive and memorable party! My husband, family, friends and I were all able to relax and enjoy the day as Teresa's staff took care of every detail.

My wedding at the Rockin' TJ Ranch was wonderful. Theresa and her staff offer different package options that allow us as the client to choose how much we want to take care of on our own, and how much we want the staff of the TJ Ranch to take care of for us. I did not want to have a lot of responsibility on the week of the wedding. I didn't want my friends and family to be stressing over the event either, and Theresa and her staff took care of everything I needed them to, perfectly. I could focus on enjoying my special time with friends and family and not worry about any of the details. The event went so smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I’d like to preface this review, that the wedding turned out perfect and the final result was incredible.


When we visited Rockin TJ, we fell in love with the place. The grounds are beautiful and very well taken care of. The views of the Bridgers are exquisite and we knew that this would be the best place for our wedding.


During the planning process, it was all pretty straight forward, however, at times the response times were a little lengthier than we would have preferred.


Another piece that was appealing for us was leveraging all their existing relationships with vendors to help streamline the process. The vendors (DJ, Hair, Make Up) were supposed to reach out to us, however, after waiting on them, we had to try and get in communication with them. This was a little frustrating on the vendors part as they were instructed to reach out to us. We did find a great photographer in Merissa Lambert.


Again, these are little hiccups, but I think is worth noting so proper expectations are set.


The day of the wedding was perfect, and Payton their wedding coordinator was great! They made sure that the day was exactly what we wanted. The food served at the reception tasted great and all guests were giving compliments. The bartender was awesome and made sure everyone had full drinks.


We were super lucky to have great weather, so dancing outside was so much fun, the location and backdrop are gorgeous. Overall, the end result was perfect and I would recommend Rockin TJ to any of my friends and family. Minus the small things that took place during the planning part, it was a perfect experience.

We had our wedding at the Rockin' TJ Ranch last July and we were very happy with the service we received. The lawn/grounds were well maintained and created a peaceful/romantic setting for the service. The reception building was a little dark but with a large wall of windows and the giant doors left open, this problem was minimized. We received many compliments from our guests and we would definitely recommend the Rockin' TJ Ranch to other couples looking for a scenic venue in the Bozeman area.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous! And what's even better, the vendor has most services available and close businesses they have worked with and know how they function - so no surprises when the day comes. This is a great benefit not to have to search several different vendors (florist, cake décor, DJ etc) because these are all available with whatever package option you choose. Of course you are able to get details and mold into what you want at your ceremony and reception! The salon area is a wonderful place to get ready right on site and not have travel time and details to worry about - and you can even rent the beautiful lodge to stay over night. Wonderful place to get married!!

Rockin TJ Ranch is such a truly GORGEOUS place and a place that is very difficult to put into words…it’s a place you MUST experience in person and see how magical it is for yourself. My husband and I got married there July 2015. It has beautiful scenery of the mountains and WONDERFUL landscaping. Everything was so rustic chic. There were many places a couple could have a backdrop for the ceremony in the meadow. We danced on the patio with the new bar area and it was more than I could have ever imagined. The girls got ready in the bridal suite and it had all of the amenities. Salon chairs, microwave, a small refrigerator, two rooms to get ready in and a bathroom. AND it has a backyard. The guys got ready in the newly updated groomsmen room. There are very large areas for parking. Volleyball nets, baseball bats, fire pit, horseshoe pits, anything your guests could ever want! And believe me, kids and adults enjoyed them, alike! We used most of our own decorations and services. Although the Ranch suggested specific vendors that they would contact to provide services (they would forward them my contact information) very few actually got a hold of me. We did use the house DJ and Kyle from Mach 1 was fantastic and very easy to work with. My grandparent-in-laws rented the house on site for a week and they enjoyed themselves very much. I would recommend calling the Ranch, as getting a hold of them via e-mail seemed to be difficult at times. I initially wanted to do most of my communication through e-mail (was planning out of state) just so I could have all discussions in writing. I could only get most communication through phone calls, though. These issues aside, I’ll have nothing but fond memories of Rockin’ TJ Ranch for the rest of my life!

I would like to take this opportunity to explain my 3 star review giving all aspects of our experience.
The Good: The facility, grounds, and décor are absolutely stunning and extremely well maintained. We live on the east coast and our experience prior to the wedding was a video call in the winter. We knew the facility was nice but we were pleasantly surprised when we saw it in person just days before the wedding, it was well beyond our expectations.
Staff members were superb and extremely personable: Melanie, the DJ, and our concierge. We can’t say enough about Melanie and everything she did for us. We booked the DJ through Rocking TJ Ranch and would highly recommend all brides to do the same. He attended the rehearsal on Friday, gave additional great tips for everyone, and all around very professional. The concierge decorated our tables perfectly, she set up one table to make sure it was the vision that we were expecting as a sample and a true calming influence.
The food was quite tasty, especially the appetizers.
The Not-So-Good: The planning aspects of making this all happen was a very challenging experience. Our daughter (the bride) has Celiac Disease, so we ensured prior to signing the contract that all the food could be gluten free. We re-iterated this aspect any number of times during conversations and received an e-mail restating this requirement. When the bride arrived at the food tasting, it was not gluten free, so she pretty much could not taste anything. We made an appointment to discuss the menu but when we called, our POC was at the grocery store not in the office. The bride sent 3 e-mails over a 3 month period with no response, when she finally got a response, the bride was told that she needed to learn a little patience. During the menu planning we were told that we were expecting free food and this is not a restaurant, using McDonalds to try to prove a point. We understand that there are a lot of personalities in brides and families, but to talk to a bride and her mother in this manner is rude and truly unprofessional.
We are from the east coast and a buffet(stations) in our area generally offer 3 meats or 2 meats and a vegetarian option. We were pretty much told that anything on the buffet had to be priced/presented as full meals for each option making the cost unrealistic. Conversations on the phone were exasperating and e-mail was even worse. We eventually got to a menu but not without a crying bride. As stated above, the food tasted superb and the chef did a wonderful job. That being said, the amount of food given to each person in comparison to the price was not consistent with our expectations. As an example, the rib and corn pile had been explained as lip smacking baby back ribs. The plate I personally received at the reception was 1 St Lois style rib, 1 baby potato, 2 pearl onions and a piece of corn that had 2 rows of kernels. This appeared to be fairly consistent across all our guests and was disappointing based on the cost. The mini salmon sliders were not much better. A slider in our area is rather small to begin with and we should have known better when the menu said mini salmon sliders. I do have to say the chicken tacos and toppings were excellent with enough for each person. The food is served on nice disposable thick paper plates but the salad was served in a small brown french fry container you get at a local fair.
I am truly on the fence about recommending Rockin TJ Ranch. The day of the wedding was spectacular but the planning leading up to the special day was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with rude and unprofessional behavior.

My husband and I decided to have a destination wedding in Bozeman, MT and chose Rockin’ TJ Ranch as our venue. The venue itself is very nice and we loved that a creek went through the property. Throughout the year of planning we had a difficult time getting ahold of the venue. We found that emailing is the best way to communicate with them and they would respond within a week for the most part. Teresa, the owner, had set up our one month final consultation to go over the final head count and all of the other little details. The day of our appointment she never called us. We tried calling her but she did not answer. The next day she rescheduled the meeting and called us 45 minutes after our scheduled time. When we received our final invoice there was a charge for 85 guests for food when we were only having 60 guests. I had told Teresa multiple times we were only having 60 guests but she kept insisting anything we over paid she would pay us back. I did not see the need to over pay so I talked to the bookkeeper and she had the invoice changed to 60 guests. Two days before our wedding, I reconfirmed with Teresa that she would still be able to pick up our cutting cake and cupcakes from the bakery the next day and she responded she would. The night before our wedding, I received a call from the owner of the bakery and said our cutting cake and cupcakes were never picked up. He was closing in twenty minutes and was closed on our wedding day. He stated he could not get a hold of our venue. Thankfully the owner of the bakery was able to drive our cutting cake and cupcakes to the venue and a groundskeeper let him in. On our wedding day, the day of concierge told me the shuttle arrived but we did not order a shuttle. Teresa charged us a day of cancelation fee for the shuttle even though I stated from the beginning that we did not want a shuttle. I have attached screenshots with dates stating we did not want a shuttle. In one email from Teresa, dated 7/17, she even put “Cancel Classic shuttle” because she ordered it even when we told her not to. In the letter I received in the mail it stated “did not cancel until 4 days prior to event”, our wedding was 8/14. I have been trying to get a hold of Teresa but she has yet to respond. I have only been able to get ahold of the bookkeeper who said she told Teresa about it and she would be in contact with me. It has been 3 months of waiting for a response to figure out the shuttle issue. On our wedding day, Teresa was also very set on us having a head table even though we expressed that we wanted a sweetheart table. After asking multiple times she finally took the head table down. We would never recommend this venue to another couple.

The venue was beautiful but the staff was terrible. They were rude not just to us but to our family and attendants as well, and very hard to communicate with. When we did finally get a response it was vague and unrelated to the initial question. You have to go with their catering and the catering gave us the wrong food and all the food was poorly cooked as well. The owner was difficult to work with and very hard to get a hold of through the entire process.

I advise you to run do not walk away from this venue. The beauty is not worth the price you will pay in frustration and stress. I want to make sure that no other couple has to suffer through the shady and disgusting back handed business practices and the poor service my husband and I had to endure. First, the owner gave us different prices every time we spoke to her and she often did not remember what was agreed upon before. She was not happy about our personalized water bottles but agreed to have a tub of ice out at our ceremony site. Even after being reminded repeatedly the day of about the ice tub neither that nor any water was placed out for my guests on a hot July afternoon. Second, she ‘forgot’ to order our linens so the day of there was a lot of scrambling. Third, she sent her book keeper, whom I had never met, to acquire my final payment while I was having my hair done. The “final payment” was not what we had agreed on and lucky for us, I had a copy of our old breakdown. Originally, we estimated 150 guests. Our final count came out to 110. She tried to charge me $300 more with 40 less guests and 5 less tables. There were also charges on the bill we had never agreed to. After I stood up for myself, there was noticeably no one to help us line up for the ceremony or get us ready for the reception introductions. When it was time to cut the cake, there was nothing to cut the cake with. Finally, the bartenders were unhelpful to my guests. I heard that allegedly 3 cases of booze from a wedding the night before ended up in one of the bartender’s cars so my husband and I had our supplies packed up early. That night we placed 2 bottles of opened vodka in the freezer and when we went to use them the next night, they were frozen solid. The stress and disappointments caused intentionally or by incompetence at this venue is appalling. There are many other beautiful venues around this area with owners who aren’t only in it for the money and who are easy to work with.

Beautiful place, I will give it that! Rude, Rude, Rude!!! I would highly recommend getting a lawyer to read the fine print in her contract. If there are any changes to the contract prior to event, she will try to add more and more to the bill. Watch your cc statement through out the process. Who seriously pays for catering and does not get to take the remaining food home? After guests ate dinner, they started cleaning up the facility like they were shutting down. How disconcerting to the guests who travel near and far for the "special event." Cleanup should not be done during special events (i.e., wedding reception), it should be done the following day. I have never been to a reception where drinks were taken from the hands of those on the dance floor, yes I am being serious! Who does that? When you book the venue, you will have to put this venue on your homeowner’s insurance policy (no lie). So if someone was to fall and get hurt on the premises, it would go against your homeowner policy, not there's! Also you will pay for a babysitting fee, don't do it...Babysitter made comment that they were trying to "corral the kids" so the parents could have fun. Great that they wanted to let the parents have fun. Who throws crayons in closet to try to corral kids? Today's day and age, that is called abuse!!! Finally, read the fine print!

The forecast said rain. It did. The venue had no tent available to cover the wedding party, but it did have umbrellas. You could not sit down...nothing to dry the seats with. The employees were sweeping and mopping even before the party was over. Rude treatment of the people who booked the wedding. Heard the price per plate dinner was in three figures. Rental for the day was 5 figures!

I was a guest, but outraged for my friends who booked the place, which is why I am writing.
