DJ Shaggi was wonderful to work with and helped deliver the dance party of my dreams! Music and dancing was top of my list for things I cared about for my wedding day. DJ Shaggi was very responsive and easy to work with. He worked with some very specific requests I had as far as songs and music timing. The dance floor was packed all night long and there was never a lull in the fun! He didn't steal the show or make it about himself, which I had seen happen at other weddings, he just let us have the best time ever! Can't recommend more highly! -

We booked DJ DoubleU through Rockdahouse Entertainment for our June 2025 wedding and we highly recommend their services for your special event! DJ Shaggi was very responsive via email and made the booking process easy. DJ DoubleU (aka Devyn) was friendly and helpful during the planning process, and made us feel at ease knowing the music and vibes for our wedding were in good hands. We provided some Spotify playlists and a few must-plays, and he handled the rest! On the big day, Devyn arrived ahead of time to get set up at our ceremony site and reception area. He was incredibly professional and did a great job with MC duties and announcements throughout the day. Most impressively, he seamlessly played songs in both English and Spanish, spanning all kinds of genres and decades. As a multicultural couple, we can’t overstate how important this was to us, and we are incredibly grateful to Devyn for keeping the dance floor full all night! -

DJ Tova did a PHENOMENAL job at our wedding! We worked with DJ Shaggi to set up payments/contract and figure out our needs, and he set up to see if DJ Tova would be a good fit for our wedding vibe, and she was amazing. We did an initial consultation FaceTime and immediately clicked with Tova. DJ Tova is a local club DJ in Charlottesville who also does weddings, and she’s incredibly skilled in being able to read the dancefloor and keep the party going. We gave her a Spotify playlist for dinner and dancing so she knew what vibes we wanted, and from there, she knew what additional songs to play (and also which song requests to decline/accept from guests without even asking us!). Since she had never performed at our venue, DJ Tova also came to the optional venue walkthrough a month before our wedding to verify the sound/equipment set up for our vision.
We had live strings for the ceremony/cocktail hour, but DJ Tova was there our entire wedding to provide mic/sound support during the ceremony. One of the other things we greatly appreciated from DJ Tova was that in addition to the dancefloor, we had another section of the reception where guests can sit down to play games, eat dessert, or take a rest before getting back on the dancefloor. Our guests (including one of the brides) tend to get overstimulated, so DJ Tova did a fantastic job managing the sound between the different reception areas during the wedding. DJ Shaggi was the perfect DJ for our wedding. He was incredible to work with from start to finish. We had a lot of questions throughout the process and he was responsive and flexible. We had 3 friends who sang/ played instruments for our ceremony and DJ Shaggi was able to amp all of them as well as our officiant and ceremony reader. All of the music and transitions were perfect and our guests were raving about the dancing and music! -

I am so glad that we decided to go with DJ Shaggi for our wedding. Although DJ Shaggi was new to our venue, he worked directly with our wedding coordinator and the venue to come up with a logistical plan that was perfect for our needs. He played every song we requested, and avoided everything on our do-not-play list. DJ Shaggi also did a great job of feeling out the crowd and selecting additional songs that fit our vibe. Going in, I was worried we wouldn't get enough people dancing -- but DJ Shaggi had everyone on the dance floor by the end of the night. Highly recommend selecting him for your celebration. -

We highly recommend Rock-Da-House Entertainment! We worked with DJ Double U and could not have had a better DJ and MC for our wedding. He played great dancing music and everyone had a blast on the dance floor! In the meeting before the wedding, he listened to our music preferences, and we sent him a playlist. He did a great job playing our favorite songs and filling out the playlist with a similar vibe. You can rest easy knowing everything is taken care of when you book Rock-Da-House Entertainment! -

I cannot reccomend Rockdahouse Entertainment enough. Even though we had some issues with our venue, DJ Shaggi worked on the spot to make our wedding day as seamless and enjoyable as possible! We hired DJ DoubleU through Rockdahouse Entertainment, and he was the best DJ we could have asked for. He created such a wonderful mix of music to please every generation and was very fun and interactive with guests. Played all the songs we wanted to play and was prepared for the day with everything we needed including a hookup for our brother in law to play at the ceremony. He made sure every song that was needed for ceremony, grand entrances, and dances were exactly right. You will not regret picking them for your event! -

DJ Shaggi did an INCREDIBLE job at our wedding and we couldn't be happier. From his organization and preparedness ahead of time, to his MC-ing and handling of all our AV needs for the ceremony, cocktails, and reception, to most importantly, the dance floor, Shaggi nailed it. Our dance floor was full and bumping the ENTIRE night thanks to Shaggi's management of the playlist we collaborated on, his transitions, and his flow from beginning to end. Even the most unlikely of family members and ages were dancing all night long, it was my dream come true. Multiple guests have commented on how fun our dance floor was and to me that is the highest compliment. I could literally go on forever. Don't hesitate to book Shaggi! -

We recently had the pleasure of working with these incredible vendors for our wedding in October 2023, and we can't express enough gratitude for the outstanding service we received. DJ Shaggi played a pivotal role in coordinating and organizing our special day, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and seamlessly.
Throughout the planning stages, DJ Shaggi's expertise and enthusiasm made the entire process stress-free. His ability to coordinate various aspects of the wedding, including timing and transitions, was exceptional. We felt at ease knowing that DJ Shaggi was on top of every detail, quick to respond to emails, and helped with last minute add ons and changes.
Now, let's talk about the incredible entertainment provided by DJ Flatline. If you're looking for a DJ who can elevate the energy of your event and keep the dance floor packed, look no further. DJ Flatline's skill and selection of music were beyond impressive. DJ Flatline played everything we requested and wanted, and had a playlist that catered to all ages and musical tastes. The dance floor was alive with excitement throughout the night, and everyone was genuinely happy and dancing. DJ Flatline's ability to read the crowd and create a vibrant atmosphere contributed significantly to the success of our wedding celebration.
DJ Flatline is also a quick thinker when problems come up! When I was walking down the aisle for the ceremony the song I picked wasn’t long enough and ended before I got to my groom, and DJ Flatline immediately looped it again so there was no awkward silence. We also had rain happen during the reception and DJ Flatline had to move his whole electronics setup from where it was originally to under our tent, and he went about it so smoothly and quickly and kept it stress free with the music back on in no time.
In addition to their professional skills, both DJ Shaggi and DJ Flatline demonstrated a genuine passion for their work. Their positive attitude and friendly demeanor added a personal touch to our wedding, making it an unforgettable experience for us and our guests. We highly recommend DJ Shaggi and DJ Flatline to anyone in search of top-notch wedding coordination and entertainment.

Vibrant, Phenomenal, Spectacular, Professional, Energetic, Extraordinary
If I could give this 6/5 starts I wouldn’t hesitate in an instant. When it comes to weddings, parties, or really any social gathering of people DJ Shaggi is in a league of his own. The professionalism, hard work, and impeccable attention to detail were some of the most phenomenal aspects and I am blessed to say it was at my wedding. He showed up early for set up, brought his own equipment and tables, set up his own equipment without delay and was ready even before venue was finished setting out all the table placements. Out of the number of weddings I have been to his willingness and ability to adapt to ever shifting timelines and situations, truly made my wedding the most amazing event I have been to in some time and helped it run smoother than I could have ever imagined. His skills on the turn tables blending and fading in and out music kept the dance floor packed and the night filled with energy and dancing that could have gone far beyond the set stop time. His top tier (which I think is tier 3) Package is no joke I had a two day wedding ceremony weekend and between bringing phenomenal uplighting, fantastic music without any loud feedback or static, the spot lights, secondary lighting, and a photobooth! Were truly incredible aspects that not only brought the room together but were loved and well received by my guests. The photobooth in itself was phenomenal as it texts you the photos you take right after which everyone loved to utilize the fun props he provided with them. But don’t take just my word for it the photos themselves hardly do justice. I would ABSOLUTELY without a single second thought book DJ Shaggi again for any event. He truly aided in making my wedding spectacular. -

As soon as we booked a venue, the person at the venue said - do you have a DJ?! You gotta get DJ Shaggi!! So we did :)
1 year after booking him, we just got married this past weekend and we are so glad we hired Shaggi & Rockdahouse! My husband and I love music and have so many “favorite” bands and songs. Led Zep, Boston, Van Morrison, Tom Petty, and since marriages are all about compromise my husband let me play Ginuwine 😂. We had so many songs we wanted played and I was a bit cutthroat with my music. I didn’t want any Ed Sheeran or instructional dancing where you are doing a routine on the dance floor. Some of my friends have done that at their wedding and they loved it. But it’s just not our style. Shaggi made special playlists for each part of our ceremony and reception. He listened to us, made suggestions and played everything we wanted. He also vetoed a few requests that people made during the reception and I cannot thank him enough for not playing the songs requested. 😂 He was so awesome to work with — was responsive to email, accepted venmo and overall was a breeze to work with.

Could not have asked for a better DJ! So many of my guests came up to me and commented on how great he was - and I got a lot of comments like “I never dance at weddings, but I couldn’t help it at yours!” He helped curate the best dance floor and was also incredibly helpful throughout the night with emceeing and setting up speeches. My wedding party also had a couple unusual requests (like a very specific and creative wedding party entrance) that he executed perfectly - he was up for the challenge! I also felt like he was so patient and kind about any request we had. We hired DJ Shaggi for our August 2021 wedding and he was so amazing to work with from day one. DJ Shaggi was extremely helpful in providing insight and guidance for our music lists that allowed us to personalize the music for each event on our wedding day. In addition, given both the evolving COVID restrictions at the time, and how far away we lived from Charlottesville, DJ Shaggi was very responsive to any changes we had. I may be biased since it was my wedding, but DJ Shaggi was one of the best DJs I have ever heard play and is extremely knowledgeable. He did an outstanding job as an emcee, effectively miced an outdoor wedding, coordinated with our livestream team (as a last minute ask), and kept the dance floor lit (literally and figuratively) the whole evening. DJ Shaggi, we can't thank you enough! -

Shaggi was an awesome addition to our dream wedding! He was very responsive from the get-go! He was very eager to come up with fun ideas for our wedding party, and worked with us when we wanted to do a crazy, different type of entrance. We worked together to build base playlists that he then used to sculpt a perfect set of songs that kept our guests young and old up dancing all night long. The variety was great! We had everything from old country to hip hop to classic rock all in one night that flowed together seamlessly. He was prompt to all phone calls and meetings, showed up with all necessary equipment, had a really cool set up the day of, and worked very well with our musician, coordinator, and other vendors. DJ Shaggi is the best! He was always very prompt in his responses, and had the best recommendations to help us with our planning! On the day of, he made sure that all of our requests were met, and was so easy to work with! Best of all, DJ Shaggi kept the party going. We had a variety of outside activities (lawn games, photobooth, ice cream truck) so I was worried that people wouldn’t dance. However, DJ Shaggi made great selections that kept people on the dance floor. The night was so much fun! You won’t go wrong with booking DJ Shaggi, I highly recommend him! -

It will be hard to list all the amazing ways DJ Shaggi delivered an unbelievable wedding experience in just one review. DJ Shaggi DELIVERED every step of the way starting right from the beginning. DJ Shaggi guided us in meticulously planning our entire wedding timeline and ceremony. We had multiple planning calls months in advance, he gave great playlist recommendations / options and even prepared the wedding timeline. The execution was even better. DJ Shaggi was one of the first vendors to arrive on our wedding day and was prepared for a smooth setup. The LOVE sign (highly recommend) added a lot to the presentation reception hall. He even brought extra lighting for our sweetheart table! He worked extremely well with the planner and the whole vendor team. We had last minute timeline adjustments and even needed to change one of the first dance songs! He could not have been more accommodating or professional, incorporating these changes as if no one even knew. Now let’s get to the actual reception. The energy he brought out of the room was incredible! The announcements were flawless and the timeline was absolutely on point. I’m saving the best for last in this review because his DJing was incredible! You could not have picked better music for the reception! Our whole family was dancing and rocking the night away!! He was a SMASH HIT with every single guest. We are so thankful for DJ Shaggi being part of our wedding and truly feel it was meant to be! -

DJ Shaggi was absolutely wonderful for my wedding! He was so understanding and patient with me as I was planning everything by myself and making decisions up until the last minute. He is organized, professional, and a lot of fun to work with. He is respectful of budgets and has accommodations for modest budgets as well as all of the bells and whistles for the larger budgets. My guests are still telling me that they had a blast with DJ Shaggi. My only regret is my pictures took waaay to long and I missed out on many dance opportunities. The ones I did get dance too were great. I highly recommend DJ Shaggi for weddings and any other events!!Rockdahouse Entertainment's reply:

DJ Shaggi is seriously the best DJ of all time! All of our vendors were amazing, but DJ Shaggi definitely stood out with his level of attentiveness and professionalism. And he knows how to throw an AMAZING party! We got so many compliments from our guests about the music and the flow of the reception. He put together perfect playlists for cocktail, dinner, and dancing from a pretty skimpy list of songs my husband and I sent him. And DJ Shaggi KNOWS his stuff. One of the things that was very important to me was incorporating some Latino music and he suggested great songs that I've never even heard before! DJ Shaggi was amazing at our wedding. He was one of the first vendors to arrive for the day, around noon and the ceremony started at 4:30pm. My husband and I pretty much gave DJ Shaggi free range in whatever to play and did take some requests from guests too. If you're looking for a DJ don't hesitate to book him. He's wonderful. -

DJ DoubleU did a great job with the music during the ceremony, and played a great mix of songs at the reception. I wish he'd played a few more of the songs from the playlist I sent but otherwise it was a great experience and some of the additions he threw in were huge hits with our guests. -

No issues with communication - he was very responsive from the initial outreach all the way through finalizing all of necessary details on our wedding day. Every cue of music for the ceremony, key dances, and bridal party presentation were on point and correct. He worked with our likes and tastes by filling in song recommendations that aligned with the interests we had provided already. Finally, we planned this wedding from 100+ miles/2.5 hours away, and the distance was not an issue due to Shaggi's plentiful communication. I know he's a busy man, but we couldn't tell it due to the personalized attention he gave us. You are doing a disservice if you fail to book him!
