Excellent hair and makeup services
Jen did a fantastic job on our hair and bridal makeup. She was very helpful both at the trial session and on the day of the event and took the changes we suggested after the trial into account. The bride was very happy with how she looked! -

Pig Pen Posies
Sharon at Pig Pen Posies was great to work with. The bouquets were beautiful and exactly what I asked for. The cake flowers were perfect. She even did our centerpieces last minute! I can't say enough good things about her! -

FANTASTIC hair and makeup
Jen from Rock Paper Scissors did an amazing job with both my hair and makeup for my July wedding. The makeup looked flawless and she was very flexible with the application until we achieved the perfect look. I highly recommend!!! -

Jen was beyond awesome to work with. I got married in Gettysburg and all my bridesmaids had civil war style gowns. Jen knew exactly what I wanted for their hair!!! I can't recommend her enough. Looking back I wish I had invited her to the wedding because by the end of the morn she felt more like a friend than our hair dresser. -

John is increíble. On my wedding day he gave me the best shave ever and a perfect cut for the day. Before and since I have enjoyed weekly shaves and hair cuts almost every other week. John is the very best! His old school skill is second-to-none! Our whole family are regular customers of John and Jen and enjoy patronizing such a fantastic business! -

My experience with RPS was exceptional! My hair and make up remained perfect throughout the evening and everyone in my bridal party looked stunning! RPS provided a professional and fun wedding prep experience! I would highly recommend! -

Jen did a fantastic job on my, my mom's, and my matron of honor's hair and makeup for my wedding day. We felt gorgeous and were really impressed with the airbrush makeup. It really does last all day, even through tears (happy ones, of course!). -

Jen and her team have been absolutely amazing from day 1!! Not only did everyone’s hair and make up turn out amazing and just how they wanted it but they even went above and beyond and did my mother in laws make up last minute for her when her appt elsewhere fell through. I would and do recommend them to everyone I know! -

Jen Synder from Rock, Paper, Scissors Salon was amazing. I hired her to do hair for the bride and three bridesmaids, and last minute she agreed to do hair for two flower girls. She always responded quickly to my messages and answered my many questions. Also, at the trial she took the time to do several different hairstyles and took pictures so I could decide exactly what I wanted. The day of the wedding, she referenced those pictures and also asked questions to make sure everything was perfect. My hair stayed in place all day, and I did not have any problems with it. Also, she did the hair for my bridesmaids and gave great suggestions taking into account their hair type, length, etc. I definitely recommend hiring her. (One thing to keep in mind, there are two Jens who work at this salon, and I worked with Jen Synder.) -

I never wear makeup, so finding a makeup artist for my wedding felt a little intimidating. After meeting Jen, all my anxiety went away! She was so nice, fun, and easy to work with!! I loved the way my makeup looked after the trial, so Jen took pictures and was able to replicate it for my wedding day. The makeup looked flawless and beautiful! My bridesmaids also really loved their makeup. We were all excited to have the airbrush makeup done, which felt so light and airy on our faces. On top of that, Jen's prices are the best around! I was really impressed with the value and service we received. I highly recommend Jen to other brides looking for someone to do their makeup! -

Jen works magic! I was so pleased with how great my hair looked and how flawless my makeup was! I felt like she made me look like my best self and that was what I was hoping for all along. Additionally (and possibly more importantly) my hair and make up held up beautifully during the day. The forecast was rainy and dreary and she used products that would keep my very curly/unruly hair from getting frizzy.
Not only is she fabulous at what she does but she is a delight to be around. She came to my parents' house in the morning and it was so nice having her be around for the morning and afternoon - she added so much humor and kindness to the festivities! Thank you, Jen! You are incredible!
I would absolutely recommend Jen to any bride! -

My entire wedding party (8 of us total) used Jen and another employee (I can't remember her name). They did an excellent job at a far away location and at an early morning start time. Not only did were their hair styles beautiful and unique to each of us, but their professionalism and engaging personalities made the 'getting ready' part of the day fun and with zero problems. I would definitely recommend Hair Comes the Bride @ Rock Paper Scissors to other brides/wedding parties. -

Jen is outstanding! I brought in a picture during the trial and she made it look better than I had ever imagined. She immediately makes you feel comfortable and by the end of the session you are laughing and sharing stories. During the wedding she arrived early and set up her station in one of the B&B rooms. She worked quickly and gave each bridesmaid and M.O.B. her full attention. We all received comments all night on our hair. Everything stayed in place and we were all able to dance the night away!

Hair Comes the Bride were absolutely fantastic for my day-of hair and make-up services for my wedding. I got married at Harvest View Barn and they didn't charge extra to come on-site to the farmhouse. We were instantly friends - chatting away with each other and all my bridesmaids. I live out of town from where I got married, so I couldn't do a trial, which Joy and the rest of the team at Hair Comes the Bride were fine with - I emailed pictures of myself and styles I wanted on my wedding day, and the outcome was nothing short of perfect and exactly what I wanted. I think that takes talent having never seen me before in-person. I would highly recommend Hair Comes the Bride for your wedding day - personable, fun and phenomenal at what they do. I was referred to Jen by a friend; I was searching for a hair/make-up vendor for the wedding during a deployment where I didn't always have an open and direct line of communication. Jen was wonderful and accomodating through first correspondence up to the morning of the wedding where she single-handedly completed 4 updos and 3 airbrush make-up applications that turned out wonderfully. Definitely recommend her services not only for wedding events, but her salon is quite lovely and she does very quality work. -

Jen is such a joy to work with! She was extremely flexible with when and where to meet for both the trial and wedding day. Her fees are very reasonable compared with other services I looked at and the quality work you get is superior! She listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly the look I was going for. We had to start very early in the morning to get all the girls ready for an 11:30 ceremony. Jen was there on time with so much energy and a smile on her face and we all got to the venue on time looking FABULOUS! Because of her relationships with others in her field, she was able to bring a second stylist at no extra charge to make sure everyone got done on time. Cannot say enough good things about Jen! -

I have been going to see Jen for a variety of hair needs for over 10 years. She is a true professional and really loves what she does! This love is translated into her hair cuts, styles, colors and up-dos and her imagination is endless. While sitting in her chair be prepared to be educated in every aspect of what she is using on your hair to make it it's best!
For my wedding, she met me weeks in advance for a trial run where she heard out all my ideas and we ran through multiple options and when she left I felt very confident in the choice that we made. On my wedding day, I had many ladies (11) that needed their hair done. She told me not to worry about it and on the morning of my wedding Jen and a follow hair stylist that she recommended were at my house bright and early(645!!) with styling equipment in toe. My friends and family were able to have their hair done in their PJs while eating breakfast without having to worry about a trip to the beauty salon. Everyone had finished hair that they were happy with in plenty of time for photos and the price just couldn't have been beaten!
You can not go wrong with choosing Jen! -

Jen was absolutely amazing! I have never liked my hair when I have gotten it professionally done. I love loose curls and my hair down. However, my hair has different ideas! So getting the perfect hairstyle was a must. I expressed this to Jen and she was right on it. She relieved my stress by having my hair trial 6 months before my wedding so if I didn't like it, we would have had plenty of time to get it right. She was able to capture exactly what I wanted for my special day! She did such a phenomenal job that I referred her to my best friend and she is using her for her wedding! -

Jen has been cutting and styling my hair for over 12 years. She is very professional and has never done a hairstyle I didn't like. She takes your suggestions into consideration. Jen was recommended to me by a friend and I couldn't have been happier. She met with me before my wedding day to figure out how she would be doing my hair. I had no worries when I sat down on wedding day. I knew exactly what my hair would look like when she was finished and knew it would be perfect. I had a morning wedding so I needed her to come very early. She was ready to start before the required time and in a great mood, which helped calm my nerves. Hair comes the bride was fantastic and I highly suggest this business for all future brides. She was incredibly creative and flexible. She comes to wherever the bride asks which allows for ultimate comfort the day of the wedding. My entire bridal party was extremely happy with their hair, and the make-up as she also does airbrush make-up which lasted throughout the entire day and night!! This is a must pick! -

Jen did an absolutely amazing job providing hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids on my big day. She arrived at our hotel early and had all seven of us ready to roll with time to spare for pictures. Jen helped each of us come up with a style that would work for our hair type (some of us brought pictures, some of us had no idea what we wanted) and made sure that no one left until they were completely pleased with their 'do. Afterward, Jen airbrushed our makeup on. The makeup looked flawless and covered perfectly, but felt very light. I was pleasantly surprised to look in the mirror at the end of the night to see my hair AND makeup looking as good as new (despite tons of tears and dancing!).
Besides her talent in the hair and makeup department, Jen is so personable and easy to work with. She added to the fun and excitement of the day and was an unforgettable part of the "getting ready" experience. Everyone who sat down with Jen felt instantly comfortable. Jen's extremely reasonable prices were the icing on the cake! -

Jen is WONDERFUL!! She came to my house and did a run through of my wedding hair and make-up at my convenience. She showed up bright and early on wedding day to get myself and all my ladies ready to go for my wedding. She made the day run smoothly, had all 7, yes 7, girls, plus myself, ready to go in no time. She brought an assistant to make sure everyone's hair and make-up were done on time.
She even had our 3 year old flower girl in on the fun, and got her to sit really still while we curled her hair a bit.
The make-up was the coolest park. She airbrushed the make-up. The make-up felt incredibly light, I still looked like me, and it stayed on all night!
My hair stayed put, was comfortable, and was exactly how we had practice for the prior run-through.
Jen was easy to work with, I felt comfortable telling her if I didn't like something or wanted my make-up a little lighter/darker. She wanted to make sure my hair and make-up were exactly the way I wanted it.
And they were absolutely PERFECT. Would definitely recommend Hair Comes the Bride in the future to anyone, with no reservations.
Not to mention, her prices were definitely the best around town. -
