  We bought my engagement ring at Rochester Lapidary and I am very happy with it. The setting is very unique and just what I was looking for (I had searched and searched at other places with no luck) They have many different styles to choose from, not just the styles that are currently popular. I was also able to customize it with a non diamond stone which was perfect. I also took a very old string of pearls there to get restrung and they did a great job! Very friendly and knowledgable staff.

  The Rochester Lapidary is awesome! We got all of our rings from here and so glad we did. The guys and gals at the store really listened to what we were looking for, what our budget was, and what was going to be beautiful, yet durable for both of us as we tend to be hard on jewelry.
  
  My engagement ring and the wedding band were customized with non-diamond, somewhat rare precious stones. The lapidary did a phenomenal job with the design, stone matching, and fitting of these rings. It was great! My husband's band was a simpler design in the same metal as mine with an engraving. It looks great also and is perfect for his needs and wants.

  All of ours rings were purchased here. The engagement ring was custom made for my wife. We go back every month to get them cleaned at no charge. Our rings look as perfect as the day we bought them.

  Working with Don and his staff was a great experience. My wife (she was my fiancee-to-be at the time) walked in and were able to get great service from the staff there. The first lady we worked with guided us through the fitting process and did not pressure us in any way to go beyond the expectations my wife and I had set for what kind of rings we were looking for. We had wanted to get a single stone diamond engagement ring, with white gold, and a matching white gold wrap band with two smaller diamonds to be welded on to form the whole wedding band. Additionally, we wanted a matching white gold band for me, with nice rounded edges for a good comfort fit. They were able to furnish all of these desires that we had, and for a pretty decent price, much within my expectations for jewelry. Additionally, since we purchased our rings there, we can bring them in for free cleaning, so that is an added benefit. My wife and I are both very satisfied with this vendor and love our rings.

We had a definite idea of what we wanted, and they suggested other options, which is fine, but when not met with resistance to their ideas, they ran with it and completely blew over what we actually wanted. Took my engagement ring in the back to assess the current setting's weight (we wanted it reset) and didn't return with it until well after we had been told the value of the setting and had been pushed to buy a number of wedding bands that we had no interest in, and were nothing like what we originally requested to see. I was beginning to worry that we would be leaving without my diamond, they had it so long. We had some old gold to trade in as well, they offered less than half of what Bernie's Lapidary did, and Bernie's was up front, not pushy, and never took my precious ring out of my sight.
