Best violinist ever!

I called a week before my big day because I had someone cancel on me. Robyn was able to help me out, and she sounded phenomenal! She made my day so special, I wish I had hired her to begin with! I highly recommend!!

I cannot express how grateful I am for booking Robyn James Ensembles for our wedding. Not only was her communication amazing throughout the process, their music added the most romantic touch to our wedding day. We requested that she hilariously learn a song from the movie wedding singer and it turned out so beautiful. Thank you to Robyn and her crew being a stress-free vendor on our big day.

The Perfect Detail

Working with Robyn was a wonderful experience all around. She has a wonderful personality and we had a wonderful rapport! Planning a destination wedding had it's challenges, but this process was not one of them. Robyn was organized and professional and her Ensemble for our outdoor wedding and then our indoor cocktail hour was the perfect detail!! This truly was a dream wedding and would not have been the same without Robyn! The arrangements of our custom songs were the added touch that made our day perfect! The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance sounded AMAZING! I am so grateful to have found the Robyn James Ensemble!

Fall Wedding in Tennessee

Robyn did a beautiful job at wedding and was beyond gracious at accommodating my unusual requests. A few of my guests even recorded a few of their songs from their phone because they were so beautifully done. I am beyond happy we chose her for our special day.

Robyn James Ensemble was magical!

My daughter wanted strings for her wedding. In not knowing where to turn for hiring an ensemble, we asked our musical friends and got connected to Robyn James. Robyn worked with us to figure out the best options for us and when looking at the music my daughter wanted, even had a way to add a song not in their listed offerings.
They were very professional. They came and set up and added musical magic to the ceremony. It would not have been the same without them!
I have 2 more daughters and a son. I have a feeling we'll be hiring Robyn James Ensemble again!

Very professional yet flexible enough to make the day wonderful!

Robin and her group drove out of the way and also played requested music for our daughter’s wedding. The temperature was hot but they played beautifully! We received many compliments on the music. But more importantly, the bride and groom loved it!

Robyn and her team are absolutely amazing to work with! The music was beautiful and everyone loved it. She has a huge repertoire to choose from or will even learn new songs for your ceremony. We wanted an obscure song played for the processional and we were shocked when she already had the music for it.

We hired Robyn James (the Strings Trio) to play at our company Christmas party. Guests kept complimenting our music choice! This was perfect background music for socializing, drinking, and eating! Never overpowering, always pleasant sounding! Creating a cozy, fun, yet relaxing atmosphere. they even threw in some Christmas music! The three were very nice & easy to work with!

I had very unique song requests for my ceremony (alternative rock) that I'm sure are rarely played at weddings by a string quartet. I was not sure if I would be able to find a string quartet that could play the songs I wanted but Robyn and her quartet definitely delivered! She learned 6 songs for me (Schism, Where is my Mind, 3 Libras, Today, Starlight, and Everlong) and the songs sound excellent when she performed them. All my guests were very impressed. Definitely recommend!

Robyn and her ensemble were AMAZING! Robyn custom created a few Beatles songs that we requested in addition to the ones she already had in her repertoire. She also incorporated the Game of Thrones entrance song to which my husband was ecstatic for his procession. The trio was a lovely elegant touch with our personal twist with the music selection. Robyn James Trio was so easy to work with. We used them for our ceremony music as well as cocktail hour and they did a fantastic job. I didn't know the exactly when in a ceremony you would need songs etc. but Robyn's questionnaire and quick email responses made it easy for me to select exactly what songs I wanted to be played during each part of the ceremony. Additionally- for a small extra fee they arrange and learn new songs so it was very fun to be able to surprise my groom with the imperial march from star wars being played by the string trio during cocktail hour. Additionally they have covers a some other popular songs in their repertoire so being a HUGE Fan of the movie Love Actually- one of my favorite parts of our wedding was exiting to their cover of "all you need is love". I had many a guest come up to me over the course of the evening to express how fun it was to hear covers of certain popular or movie songs among the great composers during the cocktail hour. All in All -They were easy to work with, professional, and required minimal effort in planning- yet everything went perfectly smooth.

We researched several different string trios to use for our wedding, and we are so glad we booked Robyn James Ensembles! Robyn was a delight to work with - she was on top of things, quick to respond, and provided recommendations for what music we should use. We hired Robyn and a cellist for our ceremony and cocktail hour music. She was super friendly but still very professional from the time I booked her up until the day of the wedding. She was so easy to work with and was not afraid of some of the unique musical choices we made for the ceremony. Robyn even did a couple of string arrangements of modern songs for us that were fantastic. Additionally, her prices were more reasonable than other string ensembles that I priced. I would absolutely recommend Robyn to anyone!

We could not have been more pleased with the Robyn James Trio! Leading up to our wedding Robyn met with us, helped us plan the music, arranged the pieces we wanted, and then stayed in touch during the months before the big day. She was very professional and really fun to work with. Her arrangements and trio were wonderful, and she made everything very easy by being courteous and flexible. The Robyn James Trio played an amazing set of music before, during and after my wedding ceremony. The group arrived early and played late. Some of our guests made personal song requests at the end of their set and they stayed late to accommodate the requests. The trio was personable, professional, and they played beautiful music together. I would recommend The Robyn James Trio to anyone who wants add some classic and traditional or fun and folksy strings to their event. Robyn made everything very easy--from booking and paying, to song selections. She has sample video/audio online to choose from. Our wedding guests loved them!

We used Robyn James trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Robyn was easy to work with, utilizing online formats for communication as well as verbal interactions. We are located out of Knoxville so communication was completed over the phone which was more convenient for us. The ceremony sounded great, we did not get to hear the cocktail hour music due to taking pictures; however, many guests complimented on the music. I would definitely recommend using Robyn's services!

Robyn was very helpful in planning for our wedding music. She provided ideas and feedback. I didn't have to worry about the trio, I felt confident that it was taken care of. Our ceremony music exceeded my expectations and I couldn't have asked for more. The trio also coordinated and played with other musicians and it worked out beautifully. They were also the most affordable option I found in the area!

Robyn provided us with a large selection of beautiful music in all styles, including the most current music to please younger guests, but with the elegance and timeless warmth of strings. We "wowed" everyone with the Star Wars music, because it was so unexpected, but so right for the occasion. It reflected who we are and made our wedding so memorable.

The musicians were wonderful! Robyn was so easy to work with and clearly wanted to make sure that we got what we wanted. My husband and I wanted one of our favorite songs as our processional and even though it was a rock song and wasn't perfectly suited to strings they were able to arrange it and play it so beautifully! It was absolutely perfect and it made our day so special!

Robyn was perfect for my wedding! She was very easy to work with and so helpfully in picking out music that I was really lost in trying to figure out. The music that she makes is so beautiful and I had several people ask me about the music and was so impressed that I had live music that went perfectly. The Robyn James Trio was absolutely amazing!!!! I was most excited as I approached our outside wedding venue on a horse carriage and heard Canon resonate through the forest!!! The Robyn James Trio provided excellent service for my wedding! Robyn has a wonderful and easy to use website that facilitates communication about music selections and offers helpful reminders about payment due dates. My wedding was outdoors and as I walked in to the venue I could hear the trio's prelude music, it was a special moment. Robyn James Trio was FANTASTIC! They were ready and willing to play the Brides non-traditional requests even though their normal repertoire is classical music. They even composed their own version of the song list! All in all the service was phenomenal and highly recommended.

One of the wedding memories that means the most to my husband and me is that we had beautiful music. Robyn agreed to play a special piece for us that the trio had to learn (or at least do some research to be ready to play) and it was our recessional as we said goodbye and left our friends and family. In addition to the other lovely classic pieces we chose for the rest of the event, it was stellar and crisp and beautiful. The trio was flexible in staying later than planned as my father in law wouldn't have us leave without our special music. We greatly appreciated that and it was our pleasure to have the trio join us at our wedding and make our memories special. Plan for longer than you think because you'll be glad that you did and remember they need breaks. I loved being able to see them playing while so much was going on that day. Being the bride, I had plenty to do and our guests to visit, but I remember clearly the music and the joy we all felt hearing it.

This trio was absolutely amazing and had really good prices. They have a great selection of music and played it wonderfully, even for our outdoor 80+degree wedding. They can also adapt pieces for your wedding and make special arrangements.

We had the Robyn James Trio play for our wedding ceremony and also for cocktail hour before dinner. Robyn made the music planning part very easy. We had one consultation with her where she asked what kinds of music we wanted for the various parts of the ceremony and from there she was able to direct us towards music selections that suited us. We continued to communicate with her through email to finalize our music choices.

Out of the many memories we have from our wedding day, having the Robyn James Trio play was definitely one of the highlights we will always remember. On top of the many standard wedding songs and other classical music in their repertoire, they have a large variety of more modern music selections. We were very happy that we had the group play for our cocktail hour so that we could hear these other songs. It really helped to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere after the ceremony was over. We know our guests enjoyed them as well because nearly everyone asked how we were able to find them.

Overall, Robyn was extremely easy to work with and always responded to emails in a quick manner. Their prices were very reasonable, especially since they had to travel nearly 3 hours to our venue. The music was outstanding and we highly recommend this trio to anyone looking for music for their ceremony!

Robyn (and her trio) did an amazing job with the music for our wedding. She was super responsive as we worked through all of the details, and everything went off without a hitch. My only regret is that I didn't get to hear more of her playing -- but such is the case when you're the bride! I would highly recommend her for any event where a small classical group is required.

We booked this group based on reviews and we couldn't have been happier with them. They played beautifully under very warm conditions. Very professional, arrived early and was very accommodating. Robyn arranged a song requested by the bride. And at the groom's request, played their arrangement of the Stars Wars Throne Room theme as the couples exit music to cheers from the guest! We would recommend them!
