Amazing DJ!!

We used RJ the DJ and company for our wedding this past September! We had Nick as our DJ and we were in great hands. We were a little nervous because we had a Greek/Italian wedding with very specific cultural songs that had to be played for dances. However, Nick did a FANTASTIC job at playing all the Greek music that we wanted. The dance floor was genuinely packed the ENTIRE night with all ages. He did a great job and gauging how people were responding to certain music to make sure there were always people dancing. He also was very attentive to my husband and I and would check up on us throughout the evening. We would definitely recommend using RJ the DJ and company if you’re looking for a super fun and considerate DJ for your wedding day!!

Awesome Experience with RJ and Danny

We worked with RJ for our wedding on 5/10/25. RJ was organized and experienced throughout the process, making it extremely easy to work with him. We had Danny as our DJ for the wedding. He was super friendly and accommodating. We had a blast!

We worked with RJ for our wedding on Sept 20 and received so many compliments from our guests. Guests complimented on everything from the dinner music that was played to the party music. Our guests were on their feet all night. Put your full trust into this team to perfectly adapt to your guests tastes throughout the night for a wonderful experience. Phenomenal DJ

Communication with RJ was top notch! He was prompt with his responses and definitely understands the importance of your event.
Nick was nothing shy of AMAZING! He captured who we are perfectly.
Nick made sure we were ok with everything he did, he checked in with us throughout the day and kept everything running so smoothly.
He definitely went above and beyond. He was kind, polite, flexible and dealt with some crazy guests! Our crew knows how to party!

Can't Recommend Enough

My husband and I just recently got married at The Garden at the Hops Company in Derby, CT! RJ is one of the preferred vendors at this venue and it was absolutely clear why! From booking to the actual wedding day, RJ made this a smooth and stress-free process. He was super responsive to all emails and answered any questions we might have. On the day of the wedding we worked with Nick- he was INCREDIBLE! Nick was amazing at reading the room and our dance floor was PACKED the entire night!!! He did this hilarious and epic transition from the intro of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You" to Soulja Boy's "Crank That" & literally people are still talking about it weeks later!! Nick did such an incredible job of engaging with the crowd and keeping the party going. He is a natural and someone you can tell genuinely loves their job! The energy was electric! Highly recommend adding on the dance floor lighting too- it was a vibe. Thanks RJ & Nick for helping make this the most incredible night of our lives!

Amazing to work with!

From the very first phone call to the final song of the reception, RJ was friendly, energetic, and a pleasure to work with. Any song request we had, in any version, he had it available and started or ended the song exactly how we asked. The entire experience of working with him was seamless, and he had our guests on the dance floor all night! Highly recommend!

Fantastic DJ!

RJ was a pleasure to work with, and kept our wedding so fun! RJ seamlessly played the requested music for the ceremony. He was able to personalize our wedding even more by playing music that my husband and I enjoy during dinner. He did an excellent job of "reading the room" and continuously playing songs that either got more people out, or kept people on the dance floor. Many of our friends have said how much fun they had at our wedding, especially thanks to our DJ!

Went above and beyond for our wedding

We had lots of elements to our wedding day. Including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, which included some extra non-typical elements which RJ took in stride. He even brought along a second DJ due to the complexity without charging us. There were a lot of hiccups with trying to get my mom and aunt set up (non-professional musicians performing during my ceremoy), and RJ got all of it straightened out and sounding amazing, and I never knew about any of the hiccups that arose! We had a very fun reception throughout, with so many of our friends and family on the dance floor. There was break dancing, moon walking to Michael Jackson, and of course the electric slide. What a great guy and a great DJ! Just hire him!

Yes, yes, yes to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding, book with RJ the DJ and ask for Nick! We LOVED him. Nick was patient, attentive, and incredibly talented! RJ and Nick were absolutely AMAZING!! RJ responds to all emails very quickly. RJ did our introductions and he was spot on with names. Nick was amazing from the time I met him in the parking lot before the wedding all the way to the end. He did a great job with the ceremony music.. RJ and Nick kept the dance floor packed all night long and guests from the wedding are still talking about what an awesome job they did and how much fun they had. RJ was on the dance floor with us and he even did a duet with one of the guests.. thank you RJ and Nick for helping to make our night magical and memorable!
We also booked a Photo Booth with RJ and it was a huge success!

Amazing to work with!

We hired RJ for our wedding as a recommendation through our venue. RJ had another wedding that day so we had Nick and he was amazing! We met him the morning of the ceremony and he was so accommodating and made our wedding so special. The music was great and it was geared towards the type of music that my husband and I like to listen to which made it even better! I 100% recommend RJ the DJ & Company for your event! They cater the music to your needs, but will follow the vibe and switch things up to fit the mood. They will do whatever you ask. We accepted requests and our guests loved it. 10/10 recommend.

2022 Wedding!

A Night to Remember!

I got married at the Birchwoods at Oak Lane, and our package included RJ's base package. We knew that entertainment and fun were going to be a top priority for us and upgraded our base package to include a second DJ, sparklers for the first dance, and low-hanging fog. RJ put in the time to troubleshoot the sparklers ahead of time and they were a hit and made for great photos. He had a great personality to keep our guests on their feet. Once the dancing started, the dance floor remained lit. I give RJ a lot of credit for navigating the pronunciation of a lot of Asian names too!

We also hired a mega party robot for the dancing portion and they ended up coming SUPER late. RJ managed the crowd and kept the hype up despite the long wait. The robot performers did not reach out to RJ ahead of time as I requested, so there were some technical difficulties upon their arrival, which RJ was able to troubleshoot.

Although nothing can be perfect, there were some small hiccups.
For the first dance, my husband and I wanted to have the wooden doors open so it would be a surprise for the guests. We were waiting outside the doors when the music started and did not have anyone to usher us in. By the time we made our way to the floor, we had to cut out some moves to get us back on the music. Additionally, the low-hanging fog is temperature sensitive, so the doors had to remain closed, but no one closed the wooden doors behind us, so the amount of low-hanging fog itself was a bit underwhelming. Fortunately, the dance choreography and sparklers made up for that!

RJ was very detailed in everything he did and because of that our wedding was on point and he listened to every detailed I needed and executed it !! I would use him in the future , because we want this to be annually to keep the fire burning!! RJ big up yourself, you are the man for any event !!!

Awesome DJ at a great price

RJ and his associate Nick were so game for anything. We had a lot of last minute changes to our wedding and they were incredibly professional and rolled with the changes. The sound quality was spot on and Nick, our DJ, took good care to make sure we had a chance to do all the traditions that we didn’t even think of (when we lost our venue days before the wedding our whole plan got tossed out the window and we were winging it, but Nick kept it together for us) and would ask us what we wanted and was very communicative. It was even a 92 degree day and we were outdoors and they still did great!

I highly recommend this company.

RJ was such a great DJ to work with. Super professional and reassuring leading up to the wedding, and amazing during our wedding. He did a great job reading the crowd and adapting on the fly. Our photographer was so excited when we saw we were using RJ. Apparently she had worked with him at a previous wedding and was raving about how helpful he was. RJ brings great energy for a great day

RJ was so much fun! An absolute hit with my family and friends of all sizes, shapes and colors. The pre-wedding data sheet and meeting were super helpful. I am a millennial and he understood the vibe I wanted, which was 90s/2000s/2010s r&b and hip hop. And he had plenty of songs to match. Guests are still raving about how great he was. Professional, Fun DJ - highly recommend!

We were fortunate that RJ had one last opening during the 2021 Wedding Season and it happened to be our wedding day. RJ was recommended through our venue and from our first conversation with him we knew he was the perfect fit. RJ is professional, relaxed, and knows how to entertain. Booked the deluxe package with two performers for our wedding. RJ and Nick blew our expectations out of the water. They have a tremendous rapport and an awesome working relationship. We have had an overwhelming amount of our guests gushing about how great they were. They were able to read the room and let the night unfold. It was obvious they are true professionals who are very good at their jobs. As the groom, one of the only jobs I was given was to hire the DJ- so you can imagine my anxiety leading up to the night. RJ quickly settled me down and they CRUSHED from the minute he got the microphone in his hand and Nick was absolutely on fire with the song selections. It was awesome to watch. To put it simple, these guys were perfect in their execution of our plan. Can’t recommend them enough. Thank you RJ and Nick!

The Best DJ!

RJ was a fantastic DJ at our wedding. My husband and I only provided him 3 songs (Don't Stop Believing, Wanna-Be, and Mr. Brightside) and he was able to understand our music style just from that. He kept everyone on the dance floor all night and our guest have been raving about how much fun they had. RJ was very responsive and organized throughout the planning process. Great DJ for our June 2021 wedding

We had a wonderful time with RJ the DJ for our wedding this past June. RJ was a great MC and did a great job of getting our guests engaged and ready to dance, and even through in a surprise game with our guests to help break the ice and get the party started. The music was excellent, the sound set up was great for both our ceremony and reception, and the photo booth was a big hit! RJ even helped us prepare a special song mash up for our first dance and it went great! Would definitely recommend!

Such a pleasure to work with!

RJ was so wonderful to work with! He was so communicative and helpful, and his upbeat, positive attitude ensured that everyone had a great time. He was great with taking requests, he pronounced everyone's names right on the entrances (you don't even know how many times my sister Gabrielle has been introduced as "Gabriel", but not with RJ!), and he took requests which was fantastic. His easygoing attitude made everything flow so smoothly, and he was great at rolling with the punches - even when my husband had to discreetly cut our first dance short because it was 92 degrees outside and he thought I was going to pass out LOL. No one even noticed! My family also coordinated a surprise behind my back for my uncle to sing our father daughter dance, and RJ coordinated with my family and my wedding planner to pull it off effortlessly. Our guests couldn't stop talking about what a great time they had, and a big part of that definitely has to do with RJ's services!

Best dance party DJ!

We hired RJ because of his awesome reviews and good price. He knew that we were worried about our guests having fun due to COVID. He kept everyone hyped up for 2 full hours of dancing. He was super flexible and helped us move our dance floor inside due to the cold, then back outside due to some family member’s COVID concerns. We got so many compliments on how fun our wedding was and it was all him!

Rj was the best DJ I could have possibly asked for. He was very accommodating as we got married during a pandemic and a lot of changes were made. Everything went perfectly as planned and better. RJ was amazing! We had a fairly small wedding, about 45 people, but RJ had everyone on the dance floor the entire night! My husband and I had a specific vision in mind when it came to our reception - we wanted everyone dancing the entire time with little to no interruptions. We had specific songs that we wanted played (Italian, Spanish, 90's hip hop, Dicso etc.) and we wanted minimal talk from the DJ. RJ worked with us to execute our vision and we are so happy with his work. He met with us beforehand to plan out the evening. During the reception he was so accommodating and responsive to us and he kept our guests and us dancing the whole night. We had so many compliments from our guests about what a fun wedding it was. RJ was the DJ for our wedding this year, he was truly amazing! He was one of the easiest vendors to work with and extremely professional. Hiring a DJ is such an important decision for your wedding day. We met with four other companies in our search and RJ was the only one who could guarenteee he would be the DJ at our wedding unlike other companies who would see who was available to work the event. We really liked his personality and energy which was really important to the vibe and energy we wanted at our wedding. RJ the DJ provided the music for our wedding day in June 2016. I was hesitant to have a DJ ay my wedding because my music preferences are not the normal pop/hip-hop and rap. My husband suggested RJ the DJ. RJ and I had a few conversations and immediately he related to my concerns and provided many suggestions. RJ was great! We hired him kind of last minute (2 months before the wedding!) which didn't give him much time but he still did a great job! We were very happy with him. We had a few hiccups but I didn't have to worry at all. He solved the problems and did everything he could to make the day go as smooth as possible. I mean everything. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were outside. Right before we walked out it started raining. You can't put speakers and electrical equipment out in the rain! I thought, "oh no! now we won't have any music and it's going to be really quiet and boring!" But....not to worry. RJ went so far as to drive his van up and park it on the lawn so he could point the speakers out of door and play music from the van! Awesome! Thank you so much! There was also a problem with the music I sent him for the ceremony but he didn't bother me and played something so similar that my fiancee (now husband :) ) didn't even notice! I noticed but the selection he chose was just as good as the one I tried to send him. He played a great game that got the whole room in stitches! It was a lot of fun and I don't think the dance floor was ever empty! Everyone from my wedding keeps telling me we made a great choice for the DJ. They really liked RJ and they all had a blast! RJ the DJ was excellent. He had 3 important services under his contract and delivered with all of them and still maintained fair pricing across the board.

RJ was a wonderfully accommodating DJ and He kept the whole room swinging and dancing. Debbie was great as a photographer as well.

RJ and his crew provided music, lighting and ran a photo booth at my wedding. I had a six hour reception and everyone (from younger to older guests) stayed late and danced the night away. People are still talking about my wedding and the blast they had!;) RJ the DJ and Co.are most definitely a major part of that!

Fantastic! Cannot say enough about RJ the DJ and Company. Had them DJ a lake house wedding for my sister. Professional, punctual, attentive. They listen to what you want your event to be like and make sure that is what happens. Great personality that really gets the guests involved and keeps the good times rolling.
I wouldn't hesitate to book RJ the DJ and Company again for my next event.

RJ the DJ is a youthful and vibrant entertainer that really gets involved with the crowd. He takes the time to instruct and teach others the new dance steps and keeps the dancers moving. He also did a wonderful job of announcing and serving as a master of ceremonies. I would strongly recommend this fine young man to serve as a host or DJ.

My husband and I used Rj the Dj and company for our wedding and absolutely loved them. Our guests had such a great time and were really entertained. RJ did a wonderful job for our wedding. We booked him very close to our event and I'm so happy we did. We let him know what style of music we liked/disliked and he nailed it. He was receptive to changes we made in the week leading up to the wedding and even some stuff on the day of. VERY flexible. He even ran to the aid of one of our older guests who fell, so all around, great guy!

Additionally, we added a photo booth which was a total hit with our guests. I would highly recommend him.

Rj the Dj and his assistants made our wedding super special. All the guests we have talked to have said how entertaining, professional, interactive and awesome they and the music were! Rj comes with lots of experience and brings high energy to the dance floor! Guests from age 5-80's enjoyed the selection of music played. The photo booth was one of the high lights of our wedding! All of our guests enjoyed it emensley and brought a new level of fun the the reception! We give Rj 10 stars and highly recommend him for your event!

My Husband and I used RJ the DJ and Company for our wedding. He was amazing. He met with us a few times in a casual setting and was very professional. He walked us through step by step and explained everything in exact detail.
I gave him a list of all the songs we wanted played and he went above and beyond to accommodate our wishes.
Our guests were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG. He even persuaded my husband and the best man to join him in a 5 min choreographed dance that was absolutely hilarious and a definite crowd favorite.

RJ was the DJ for my wedding last year. He made the entire process extremely simple. He helped provide useful suggestions for music. He was very flexible with his schedule and was able to provide options for us to have music outside for our ceremony and music inside for our reception. He provided us with up-lighting that made the room look absolutely amazing. He was incredibly friendly and the service he provided was outstanding. He made my wedding so much fun and every time people walk about my wedding they talk about how awesome our DJ was. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!

RJ did our wedding this past Sunday in Newport at Castle Hill Inn. To say he did an amazing job would be an understatement. He met with us and laid out all our options. Then we told him what we wanted and he handled the rest. The music was top notch. Played something for everyone. His photo booth, flat screen TVs and props enhanced the entire atmosphere and added a ton of fun for the guest. And lastly his organization and timing running everything from the entrance to toasts to dances and cakes cutting was on point. Hands down best wedding DJ I've experienced.

Rj was such an amazing person to work with! He was the very first vendor we booked and we could not have been more pleased. He totally understood what we wanted out of the day and made planning the music selection a breeze. He is such a professional that we tried to leave the music up to him.
