I utilized Riverwood Designs for my wedding florals and day-of coordination. Joseph was incredible – he was attentive, knowledgeable and I feel like he really understood my vibe and vision. The florals were beyond my expectations – truly works of art. It’s like he pulled a picture from my brain and made it a reality. I was completely blown away! His coordination skills are unmatched – he ran my rehearsal and event day flawlessly. Knowing Joseph was running the day allowed me to fully relax and enjoy every moment. I could not recommend Riverwood Designs enough! Thank you for creating the wedding of my dreams! -

We were very pleased with the florals provided by James at Riverwood Designs for our wedding reception at the Science Museum of Virginia. James was great to work with, and he showed patience as we made several revisions to the proposal to finalize our vision and color palette. He was responsive throughout the process and updated the proposal each time to align with our evolving ideas.
We also appreciated that James came to the Science Museum with us beforehand to help us visualize different options in the space. On the day of the wedding, he worked well with our planner and other vendors, ensuring everything was set up smoothly in the reception area. The arrangements looked beautiful in the venue, bringing the vision to life just as we had hoped. We would highly recommend Riverwood to anyone having a wedding in Richmond! -

Could not have asked for a better floral team!!! Working with Joseph & Robert was such a breeze. Prior to speaking to Riverwood designs I spoke with several popular florists and was not sure of what to do. As soon as I got on my first phone call with Joesph and Robert, I immediately knew they were going to be my florists! They were both so kind, caring, and calming. I had no idea where to start when selecting my florals and Joseph led me in the right direction with every single decision! He was honest and upfront from the start which made my life so much easier! He was always available to chat and so easy going! From the little details to the very large arrangements (climbing a ladder to decorate a 12 ft tall fireplace mantle), everything was SO perfect. Looking back at my wedding photos I always find myself looking at the flowers and hundreds of candles they incorporated with the designs. The flowers were perfect and just as I envisioned! You will not go wrong with selecting this team for your big day!!!!! If I could do it all over again, I would choose them every single time! Thank you so much Joesph and Robert for creating my dream wedding florals! -

Amazing Florists & Coordinators
We hired Riverwood to do both our flowers and day of coordination and it was one of the best decisions we made. Joseph was so responsive and patient (I was terrible at getting back to his emails!). For the flowers, they did an amazing job suggesting a beautiful combination of flowers and colors based on a palette that I quite literally just plucked off of Pinterest without giving much thought to it. The arrangements turned out INCREDIBLE. And when I forgot to snag my bouquet on the way out of the wedding he saved it for me and got it to me the following weekend.
As planners, they were truly flawless. My mother-in-law was amazed by his ability to somehow be in all the right places at the right times to resolve something or check in with my husband and I. He listened to our ideas for the day and put together a perfect timeline. Clearly communicated the timeline and all other details to our other vendors and just overall made it happen. Cannot recommend them enough, especially if you are getting married at Lewis Ginter where they have great rapport with the team there. Thank you Joseph!! -

Beautiful floral arrangements!
I highly recommend Joseph and the team at Riverwood Designs! They truly went above and beyond to make our day special. They were careful to work within our price range and created stunning floral arrangements very similar to the inspiration photos we sent them. We got so many compliments on our flowers! -

I found Joseph was the only florist who could accommodate my vision & the wedding planning services he offered were the ultimate icing on the cake! We couldn't have had our perfect wedding without Riverwood Designs. He truly made my dreams a reality & the whole day was smooth sailing. From giving me options on flowers that would look super similar to the ones I wanted that weren't in season with our wedding date to making the faux wisteria wonderland come alive in our venue. I couldn't recommend them enough if you're looking for someone to help you plan your wedding/set you up with the best flowers. -

I have always had a flower garden, and was raised to love and adore flowers. This said, I had a strong and vivid idea of what I wanted for my wedding day, which included lots of beautiful displays. When we had our initial consultation with Joseph and Rob, I knew instantly we had struck gold. Not only were they sincere and inquisitive over what our vision was, they were also so enthusiastic over possibilities. They took our vision and ran. The day of, my breath was taken away by the magically magnificent masterpieces they created. I have never, ever, seen displays like them. My favourite flower, peonies, are out of season, and the glee in their faces when they were able to source them for my bouquet- priceless!! I can honestly say Riverwood Designs are the best you will find (and also the nicest people you will ever have the pleasure of working with!).

Gorgeous flowers; kindest people ever to work with; flexible during a pandemic -- Joseph and Rob are the best! We simply told them what we were thinking about in terms of colors and simplicity, and they came up with a design.
Best of all, they also are certified wedding planners. So we hired them to also be our day-of coordinators. This means they also took care of planning the rehearsal and all of the myriad of details that go along with decorating and cleaning up afterward. This let me walk out with the last guest with no worries.
Hire these guys. You will love what they do! -

They know how to bring your vision to life!
Joe and Rob do an AMAZING job. I am terrible at planning/decorating; I knew I had a very simple yet elegant picture for my wedding, we discussed a few details - and they nailed it!! Not only are they great at their job, but they are also so easy to work with and quick to respond if there are every any changes/etc. I would highly recommend having them decorate your wedding, you will not be disappointed! Joseph and Rob - what can I say?! They are a true dream team, and some of the nicest people I worked with for my wedding day. Just a joy. They talked me through my vision in such an understanding and helpful way, and were patient with me when I made changes after our long Covid postponement. All of my guests were blown away by our beautiful florals and table centerpieces. Joseph and Rob made things so easy by renting some decor to us as well. Just absolutely an incredible team - I highly recommend booking them!!! The best in the biz. -

Joseph and Rob have not only been a pleasure to work with but they have been life savers to a Covid bride and groom. They are so beyond flexible and willing to work with any which way the wind may take them even when I reached out a month before the wedding with a complete change of designs. They were amazing from the beginning when they were the ONLY floral designers I had found that truly respected my budget and helped me create my dream wedding look. They went above and beyond to create design ideas for me each and every time our wedding plans changed (which is way more than any bride would want! Thanks Covid!). They are so responsive and kind I wouldn’t have wanted to work with anyone else! The day of the wedding when I arrived on location for the ceremony I was in utter shock. They had transformed our seemingly plain and quaint venue into something out of a fairy tail! We received nothing but compliments from all our guests and vendors on the beautiful designs they created. They really came in and made everything they promised happened. I will forever be grateful for all y’all did to help create an amazing day for us both! Thank you!!!! Stop reading and book now!! You WILL NOT regret it!! I attached some cell phone pictures while we await our professional pictures. With how good these designs look on an iPhone, I can’t wait to see the real deal! -

Stunning!
WOW! I was blown away by the florals and designs that Joseph and Rob selected and put together. My jaw literally dropped when I first saw the flowers. They really took my vision and went above and beyond with it! They completed our venue and really elevated the feel of the wedding. Our guests couldn't stop talking about them! Everything they designed and created was so thoughtful and detailed. They even hand wrote notes to each person in the wedding party with instructions on how to hold/pin the flowers. Joseph and Rob are a great team with extreme professionalism and they really have your best interest at heart by making sure your big day is perfect! I highly highly recommend this fantastic duo! -

The best of the best
We originally met with Joseph and Rob for wedding florals and found out that they also did wedding coordination. That day, I knew they were the perfect fit for me! They knew my vision for the wedding better than I did! They were so organized and on top of everything. I left basically my whole in their hands and did not stress about anything even after having to postpone twice!! Everything turned out perfectly, from the wedding that went so smooth to the flowers and decor that looked amazing. The best decision I ever made was going with Riverwood Designs. I would recommend them over and over again! -

Lovely people, dedicated to their customers! BEST decision I made!
I can’t say enough good things about Riverwood Designs! They are the reason my wedding vision became a reality. Flowers were weirdly important to me and from my first video call with Joseph & Rob, I knew I could completely trust them to understand my vision and work hard to give me everything I wanted within my budget. I found that some other floral designers skimped a little too much when I mentioned my budget, making me feel somewhat bad, or weren’t willing to be flexible in their designs in order to meet my budget. Joseph & Rob were more than willing to work with me and were excited to hear my thoughts throughout the entire process! They grew big ferns over the summer for me in time for my fall wedding so that I could have ferns in the ceremony at a fraction of the cost. They were also very generous about waiving rental fees, as long as I returned the vessels for the centerpieces. They both have a great eye for design and color and I loved hearing their creative thoughts and working with them – they ended up giving me more than what I imagined my budget could get and the designs were BEAUTIFUL! On the day-of, I was simply floored at how beautiful mine and my bridesmaids bouquets were and the fresh flower hair combs we had were also stunning, the colors were so pretty. And I was ecstatic when I saw the rest of the floral designs for the first time. Our ceremony arch and centerpieces were lush, fresh, and gorgeous. I had SO many guests coming up to me to tell me how beautiful our flowers were and my bridesmaids loved their bouquets so much – I was so glad they were able to take them home with them! Joseph & Rob are also just amazing people. I was so excited to meet them the day of our wedding! They are both extremely kind, thoughtful, professional, and they are dedicated to customer service. Again, can’t say enough good things – choosing Riverwood Designs was the best decision I made for my wedding! I would definitely recommend them for floral design and I would trust them with wedding management & planning as well (newer services)! -

Riverwood designs = the wedding dream team!
I don't even know where to begin with writing a review about Rob and Joseph at Riverwood Designs. They are truly the reason that my husband and I were able to have our dream wedding!
First let me start out by saying that my mom, husband, and I had a million ideas for what we wanted, and as the wedding planning process continued we became so overwhelmed with how we were going to execute any of these ideas, that we almost gave up on our dream of having a wedding at my parents home. We should not have worried though, because after our first meeting with Rob and Joseph we left feeling completely relieved and so excited for the wedding again.
At our first meeting, we started talking about ideas of what we might like and showed some inspiration pictures and we left the meeting with a plan of how we were going to make this amazing wedding vision a reality. Now that its over I can say that it was even more extraordinary (and FUN) than we could have ever imagined.
All the little details that go into making a wedding happen are impossible to know unless you are a wedding industry expert, and that is where Rob and Joseph come in. They helped us with planning and designing the most beautiful wedding, coordinating the entire set up with vendors, and on the day of they were there to make sure that the schedule was perfectly executed so everything was on time and went seamlessly. They were able to help us plan a wedding day that didn't feel rushed, but allowed us to fit in every detail that was important to us. We had so much time to be with each other and spend time celebrating with our friends and family and never had to worry about little details such as if the food was on time or delivering final payments to vendors. It was such as relief that after months of planning our only job for the wedding day was to sit back and enjoy everything. I wasn't stressed at all because I knew Joseph and Rob were taking care of everything!
Riverwood designs also designed and executed the most spectacular florals for our wedding that we could have imagined. They took my ideas and inspiration pictures and transformed them into one of a kind bouquets, boutonnieres and arrangements more beautiful than I have ever seen. They were able to help us design everything, and then were able to fulfill the vision perfectly with their stunning arrangements.
They truly are the complete and total wedding package. Working with Riverwood Designs was the most important part of our entire wedding experience, and 100% the reason that we had the most perfect wedding day! I recommend them to anyone planning a wedding or event. You need people on your team whose only wish is to help you have the most incredible and memorable wedding possible - and that is Rob and Joseph at Riverwood Designs! -

Creative, flexible, professional
A big thank you to Joseph and Rob! From the first time we met them we knew we made the right choice in hiring Riverwood Designs for our wedding. Flowers It was easy to see both Joseph and Rob love what they do and know the business. During our meeting they were able to get to know us and our vision Later providing us with a palate of colors and flower ideas to complement our dresses and style all while still staying within our budget. They provided us with suggestions and ideas that made our bouquets beautiful and long lasting. Our flowers were delivered on time, in glass vases beautifully labeled with handwritten instructions on how to hold them. The boutonnieres were presented elegantly on a silver platter. On our wedding day there was a mix up with the number of tables that were set up and there was one extra table that was not accounted for. Without a blink and on a dime, Joseph and Rob quickly was able to create an additional center piece. I am not sure how they pulled it off, but they did! Thank you, Joseph and Rob, for you creativity, professionalism and vision. You made our wedding day perfect. -

When I started planning for my wedding, I had no vision whatsoever and couldn’t seem to narrow down what I wanted. I met with Rob and Joe and they brought my visions to life. They got me so excited about planning. Their designs are absolutely breathtaking and they were so so helpful. I wouldn’t look anywhere else for floral designs, I highly highly recommend these guys! The most beautiful floral arrangements we could ever imagine for our wedding day.
Coming from a family that owns a garden center, I had a particular style and quality I was expecting for my wedding day. I searched for many different vendors, but wasn’t in awe of many of the vendors in the surrounding areas. I found Riverwood Designs online and loved all of their arrangements in the pictures posted. After meeting Joseph and Rob, I knew instantly that I wanted to hire them for our wedding. Their price and quality cannot be beat. All of our arrangements were full of fresh flowers and greenery. They exceeded all of my expectations and I highly reccomend them to anyone! -

The flowers for my daughter's wedding 10/13/18 were spectacular - stunning and exactly what my daughter wanted for her lake/barn event. Katie Sent on 08/20/2018My mother and I met with Rob and Joseph at our local coffee shop over a glass of wine. I showed them my Pinterest page of wedding pictures, table decorations, and flowers that I LOVED. I told Rob and Joseph the details (that I knew thus far) about my vision for the wedding – how my bridesmaids were all wearing different shades of red, the venue, my desire for navy blue tablecloths with gold centerpieces, what my fiancé was like, etc. I knew the mood I wanted our wedding to exude but didn’t know quite how to execute it. Immediately Rob and Joseph were right in the thick of it with me. We were brainstorming, collaborating, throwing out THE BEST ideas!! I really couldn’t believe it. I was thinking, “where have these guys been my entire wedding planning process?” (I really wish I would have hired them earlier!) Fast forward to my wedding day – I am sitting in the chair getting hair and makeup done, and my bridesmaids comes rushing in telling me how beautiful the flowers the guys are setting up outside are. I could not wait to get out of my chair. When I finally got to see the flowers, they were just a dream come true. I really could not believe how beautiful the flowers were! Honestly, I would look at them and my heart would sparkle! The variety of roses and shades of reds were so deep and gorgeous; they tied the varying red colors of my bridesmaid’s dresses together and really made the entire wedding just beautiful. Rob and Joseph made my dream a reality, and then made it even better. Truly magical.
I highly recommend Riverwood Designs for floral bouquets, floral boutonnieres, flower crowns, floral corsages, floral chair decoration, floral arrangements, flower sign decoration, flower placement on wedding cakes (basically anything floral), table decorations, event planning and event coordinating! -

They were extremely responsive during the planning process, always flexible and willing to work with our evolving needs, and gave us an amazing finished product on the day of. Joseph made the trip to Saluda to meet with us a couple days before the wedding to go over the bridal bouquet, which we really appreciated. They were very professional about setting up on time and cleaning up after, and they made some crucial adaptations on the fly to make sure we had everything we needed on the day of. Price is reasonable, and they will work with your budget needs. Can't say enough good things about them; I definitely recommend using if you're getting married in the area!

From the first meeting until the grand exit at our wedding, Riverwood Designs made us feel supported, celebrated and delighted.
