Great Venue

This place was amazing !! Such a pretty setup, and had the best places to take pictures. The staff was very attentive, super nice, and professional. The food was delicious, and my guests really enjoyed themselves.

Couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue

We chose Riverwalk Golf Club in early 2020 for a late 2020 wedding. Due to COVID, we had to postpone our wedding until the following year. We had read nightmares about venues unsettling to work with couples on postponements, but the staff at Riverwalk were more than understanding. They had no issues with postponing the wedding a year and even offered a refund. Over the course of nearly a used and a half, we went through several different staff members at Riverwalk and ended up working with Ryan. He was phenomenal to work with. Extremely kind, reassuring, made suggestions when we were unsure and very responsive through phone and email.

On our wedding day the staff at Riverwalk came through. They were warm, friendly and took care of us as well as the guests. They made sure to package up appetizers for the bride and groom as we took photographs around the golf course. They also ensured they plated food for us before releasing tables to the buffet. The staff were fun and professional.

Overall, we are so happy with our choice of Riverwalk. Their wedding packages make it so easy to plan your event. Highly recommend them for your wedding!

Riverwalk is a GREAT place to have your wedding. We really wanted something that could host both the ceremony and reception since we had a lot of of out of town guests and wanted it as convenient as possible and Riverwalk was perfect for that! Riverwalk is a beautiful golf club, with a stunning bridge and beautiful patio for event space, and we had so many guests tell us how great the venue was! We wanted to have a mostly outdoor wedding and this venue is absolutely perfect for that - the patio is huge and beautiful and almost every door can opened to give the appearance of one cohesive indoor/outdoor space. They have weddings down to a science, and literally every little request i made was executed - they even got my husbands favorite beer on tap! Jessica and Ryan were so on top of things the day of and set everything up beautifully and made sure everything was perfect! They take care of everything, from the tables and wait/bar staff, to the food and wedding coordination, which is so great and convenient and sometimes hard to find! Truly just a wonderful venue!

Riverwalk is absolutely incredible in every way! The staff. The food. The price. The location. The VIEWS! Wow, our wedding was beyond perfect and we are so happy we chose to get married there! Working with Madison was enjoyable, she's very knowledgeable and was attentive to all of our questions and needs. Madison made our wedding planning easy and so much fun! Alexis was the perfect day of coordinator! She kept us on schedule, hydrated and happy. Our bridal party was also impressed with Alexis. The plated dinner was fantastic, the signature drinks were delicious and the inside/outside dance floor was the perfect touch to get everyone dancing all night! Our guests said they had no idea such a beautiful venue was located there, they were blown away. Riverwalk is definitely the hidden gem venue of San Diego. Thank you Riverwalk!

Hands down, BEST VENUE &BEST STAFF! Love and appreciate both Madison and Alexis tremendously, both were a delight to work with and did above and beyond work to make sure our wedding was spectacular!!

We can't say enough about how much Madison and Alexis made our wedding day perfect. First off, riverwalk golf club itself is a great venue and the views on the bridge we spectacular. We had a small event, ~65 guests, but we had more than enough room for all the events. Our ceremony was on the patio with a view of the bridge and everything else was organized nicely to make it all flow. The staff quickly moved the ceremony equipment and replaced everything with the dance floor and party equipment we needed. The bar and banquet hall area we spacious and set up in a way that made everything go as planned and not cause any issues for us and our guests.
Madison was our point for all the planning and I don't think we could have done it without her. She was so accommodating and helpful and made the planning experience pleasant and easy.
Alexis was our day-of coordinator and she was amazing! From start to finish she we everywhere we needed her to be and some places we didn't even know we needed her to be! She made sure everything was timed properly and flowed smoothly. She was perfect at every turn and our thanks cannot be expressed enough.
So to all the riverwalk staff and specifically Madison and Alexis, thank you for making our day perfect!

I honestly can't say enough good things about Riverwalk! Madison has become a friend to me! The entire staff is so kind and friendly! Our wedding day was by far one of the best days of my life and Riverwalk pulled all of the weight! Many of my vendors gave me issues but Riverwalk was not one of them! They worked with me and even let me vent on the other drama! Seriously put this place on the top of your list! And Alexis for the day of was AMAZING! I will be planning more events here!!

Also the food was AMAZING!!! They changed the menu around for me to exactly what I wanted!!!

Madison was absolutely a pleasure to work with. Our wedding day was beautiful and everything went off without a hitch! Everyone commented about how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. If I could do my wedding all over again I would definitely stick with my decision to have it at the Riverwalk Golf Club and have Madison as my wedding coordinator! Thank you for everything! :)

Riverwalk was the perfect place to have my daughter's wedding reception. The staff is friendly, attentive and care about making sure they can give you the best service possible. Only one more wedding to go and if that daughter wants a similar type event Riverwalk will be the first place, and likely the last place, we consider.

Our wedding was perfect. From the beautiful setting to the amazing staff, our day was everything we could have dreamed. Isabel was great to work with and the night of our event, Alexis was there every step of the way to be sure everything worked out perfectly. She even gave us a ride to our hotel at the end of the night so that we wouldn't have to wait for a taxi!

Seriously, it was a night that we'll never forget. Thanks to Riverwalk and ALL of our other vendors, our dream wedding came true. :)

Typically wedding food is just okay, but our food was DELICIOUS. We had numerous people compliment us on our dinner so you know it was good!

This venue was a Rehearsal Wedding Dinner.held in the evening. It was beautiful. The colors were very pretty, the servers were responsive as they could be. I had added people a few days before the venue date and Riverwalk was able to accommodate them. In addition, I had added people on the venue date and still Riverwalk was able to accommodate them. The patio was arranged and the fuel heaters added such a nice touch to the ambiance. There were firecrackers at a distance and those that went to the patio had a nice display. This is a very nice place to hold your private dinner with plenty of space and a peaceful surrounding. Being on a budget, we brought in our dessert and it was served. This venue was more nearly $500 less than the Crowne Plaza in Mission Valley because Riverwalk was able to accommodate me with the buffet menu. I had 50 in my wedding dinner rehearsal party and we had a lot of fun!.

We are so glad we booked our wedding C&R at the Riverwalk! Catering/Event/F&B coordinators Anne and Lauren were the most helpful, flexible, and professional people we have ever worked with. They helped us customize and execute our wedding to be EXACTLY what we had envisioned. The staff was super friendly, and helpful! OUR GUESTS WERE IMPRESSED! The venue was clean, beautiful, and fit our theme perfectly! Thank you Riverwalk for making our night one we will never forget!

The whole entire team at Riverwalk Golf Club did an awesome job making our wedding day perfect! Anne was always so polite and helpful whenever I needed her. Lauren was extremely important because she insured that I didn't have to worry about anything the day of the wedding. I showed up and everything was perfect as she promised! Alexis was such a great help keeping everything in a timely fashion and even helped me drag my big dress around! All I can say is thank you Riverwalk team!!! You guys made my day one that I will never forget!!!

Anne and Lauren were amazing to work with and the Riverwalk offers some of the best prices around for quite a bit in return for a wedding reception. I can't say enough good things about this place. I can't say enough about the Riverwalk, our wedding was beyond amazing and everything was just perfect! Anne was very wonderful and pleasant to work with throughout the whole process and was very accommodating with all of our requests. Lauren, who was our day-of coordinator and was also there for our tasting, did the most amazing job on our wedding day making sure everything went smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful, we had our ceremony on the outdoor patio and the views are just gorgeous. We also had our cocktail hour as well as our reception there. One of my favorite features of the Riverwalk is that one entire wall is made of windows that completely open up to the outside patio so your reception can be both indoor and outdoor if you choose. We had a plated dinner and the food was fantastic, it was dual-plated chicken and salmon and the Riverwalk has some of the best pricing in San Diego. We used all of their preferred vendors (which is not required) with the exception of our photographer (whom we had already booked) and they were all amazing, affordable, and did a phenomenal job. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with great service and food that won't cost you an arm and a leg, I highly recommend the Riverwalk!!

Riverwalk was a great venue for our 120 guest wedding. Anne, who helped put it all together, was wonderful! She was kind, helpful, and VERY flexible. The view of the golf course and bridge was enjoyed by all, we received great reviews on the food from everyone. Lauren and the staff were very responsive and honest, we had 3 different items returned to us that could have easily disappeared.
Be sure to rent heaters for an evening wedding, there is a cool strong breeze that comes through the patio. The draping along the picture wall is also a must. We received about the same items as we could have gotten at Steele Canyon for about $2000 less, and were able to stay later into the night, not to mention the central location was a plus. The wedding and reception was a complete hit with no problems, a little windy (LOL) but it started ontime and it was wonderful. Much gratitude to you and your team. Great price, great staff, overall a great place for my wedding and reception. For the price I paid I was expecting average food but it was superb. I got so many compliments from my guests(we had the Italian food). The setting was perfect for pictures also. I am so glad I chose Riverwalk and I would recommend it to anyone.

Our daughter's wedding was beautiful! It was a beautiful day to always be remembered. I have recommended it to a friend and they booked it the same day they looked at it! The Riverwalk was personal, professional and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The staff was so wonderful and welcoming. They didn't mind phone calls from gitttery Bride to be or her Mama. Dinner was to rave over! Everyone is still telling us how great the food was, so not the usual wedding dinner. Everything went beautifully because of the amazing staff at The Riverwalk in Mission Valley. I highly recommend it to you!

I loved working with Anne and her team. They were all so professional and nice. My family and other wedding guests even commented on how nice everyone was. I'm so thankful we found this venue and had our wedding here. The venue is so beautiful and although it's in the middle of Mission Valley you feel as if you're somewhere more secluded.

My sister/ matron of honor found this venue online and once she sent me the link, I knew it was the place. It has a beautiful open view and even with such a large place; it felt so intimate I be tucked away among all the trees and landscape. Anne was amazing to work with. She replies almost always within the 20 min that I emailed her and was super flexible with payments. Lauren was sweet and seemed to be proud of what they do and made are things were perfect. I never felt like another transaction and they were hands on during the entire process.

Beautiful Location, Helpful Staff.

Sarah was great through the whole process, answering all of questions along the way before our Wedding reception. She really helped coordinate the setup for the Reception and most of the early events working with our DJ to ensure things kept on pace behind the scenes. The rest of the staff were quick on there feet ensuring all the guests tables were waited on throughout the night. The location itself is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out looking. Also, the ability to go on the golf course itself and take the Wedding party /Bride and Groom pictures there really made for some amazing photographs.

My event was really a retirement party, not an option on this website. The staff at Riverwalk during my event was terrific. They were totally "on the ball" taking care of everything without being disruptive to the event. Plates were cleared in a timely manner and the flow of the evening was wonderful. The quality of the food was also terrific. Everyone commented on how good everything tasted and was nicely presented. The venue itself is beautiful and perfect for the San Diego climate. Having the ability to take over the entire club house, own bar and use the outside/inside to the fullest extent was wonderful. With 165 guests, the flow of people was great and never felt crowded at all, even with the dance floor. I would definitely recommend Riverwalk for your special event!

I would definitely recommend Riverwalk for a wedding venue! The price was so reasonable and we got to share our special day on a saturday--no extra price! Everyone was so professional and flexible. I felt like everyone really listened to what we envisioned. The pictures are amazing with the bridge as a backdrop. Riverwalk made the day much more than what we could have hoped for.

Riverwalk did such a great job managing various aspects of our wedding. They made sure our day was Special and memorable!! The staff were very professional and hands-on from beginning to end. Beautiful views, and great food but bartender over served

This place is a gem. My only complaints are that the bar is very heavy-handed and will leave your guests very drunk very early in the night.
Otherwise, it is a beautiful venue and the views are gorgeous.
All of our guests are still raving about the food and how good it was.
I recommend that you keep an eye on your table numbers if you have them because ours got screwed up and some important guests ended up in the back corner. Overall, everything was beautiful.

We really liked it here and almost decided to have a wedding here. The only reason we did not was they do not have accommodations.

I chose Riverwalk because it had a beautiful bridge, view of the river, and affordable meals for the reception. There were many additional, unnecessary fees however. I mainly worked with their catering manager, Cristin, who was always responsive, helpful, and never annoyed at my countless questions. The day of, I worked with Fred, who was also nice, but my day of coordinator mainly worked with him. They were flexible with the menu, bar, appetizers, entrees, did free cake cutting, included the silver cake cutting utensils. The food was delicious. �The best wedding chicken I�ve ever had� said one guest. Our menu included spinach salad, chicken romano (parmesan encrusted), and wedding cake (from an outside vendor). I rented a dance floor, and screen for the slideshow. There are floor to ceiling sliding glass windows/doors so that the clubhouse opened up to the patio. It was a beautiful summer evening, and all the guests loved it. My only complaint is that the servers weren�t as unobtrusive as I would have liked; for example, they might cut in front of the dance floor during a toast. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

The Riverwalk team did a great job! Esp Alexis the venue coordinator I believe that's what she does... she was so awesome! And was also there at rehearsal to help us out on what to do! She even chased our two year old while we did photos on the course! They did an amazing job! Everything I asked for they were able to do!!! Beverage station for ceremony, two hours of cocktail, signs for the signature drinks... Just a great job overall!!! Happy with them!

River walk is the hidden gem of San Diego Wedding Venues!! I am so happy that i came across Riverwalk Golf Club on wedding wire while planning our wedding! I had a tight budget but a large guest list. Riverwalk was the only venue in San Diego I could find that was able to work with my budget and guest list without compromising the quality of their services and everything that I wanted. We were able to have 150 guests, an hour of open beer and wine during cocktail hour with a 1,000$ tab towards the bar, a full Italian buffet, wedding coordinator and day of coordinator, and so many services for less than 10,000$! Every other venue in San Diego wanted to charge at least 5 grand more for all of those services. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the service was flawless. My coordinator was great and thought of things I never would have for our wedding day and fixed all the little bumps that happened in that day without anyone noticing! I wouldn't change a thing about our wedding day and venue!

The room was not actually separate from the bar area and there were lots of very loud, intoxicated patrons in the bar during our lunchtime event that made it hard to hear the speakers. The microphone system was a bit fuzzy as well. And some tables were actually outside, not in the room with everyone else. The service was very attentive though and they quickly addressed anything we asked them. The food was also tasty.

We booked this venue about a year ago & it was perfect because it was within our budget & a really pretty location. We had first spoken with Anne & she was great. What I didn't like was about 6 months later, instead of someone letting me know that Anne no longer worked there, I had to find out on my own. So then I dealt with Isabel. She was great too... I pretty much planned everything with her down to the tasting/floor plan. Literally after our tasting, I started to not get any replies from my emails... Again, I had to find out on my own... 3 WEEKS to my wedding day that Isabel no longer worked there. I started to get frustrated because I had to explain everything AGAIN to this new person Sheri. The very next week, as I'm trying to pay off and finalize everything, AGAIN nobody bothered to contact me to let me know that the new person had an emergency. I'm sure you can see how frustrating this is... one week before the wedding & THIRD time I had to explain what I had wanted to the new person. Then to top it off, they tell me that it's going to be someone else who is going to be there the day of the wedding. So what was the point of the middle man!?? At this point I was really frustrated.....

ALEXIS (the food & beverage captain) WAS AMAZING. The first time I met her was during the wedding rehearsal. She definitely put me at ease & all my worries! Alexis was there every step of the way. If any of the managers are looking at this, ALEXIS should be the one to be dealing with the clients from beginning to end. She knows her stuff & she was there making sure every detail was perfect! Before the wedding I had a bitter feeling towards Riverwalk Golf Club but ALEXIS turned it all around! I was so thankful for her.
