River creek club was amazing start to finish. The event team is so flexible to help you make your day come true with so many add-on options. The catering is the best wedding food I’ve ever had, and the bar was more than accommodating for our signature cocktail. They have great preferred venues and really took out alot of wedding planning stress! Would have my wedding here again and again ❤️

River Creek is the BEST venue! We worked with Melissa Cherpes as our coordinator and could not be happier with how the day went. During planning, Melissa was super easy to work with, provided us with great advice, and helpful tools to keep all our wedding details organized. Since we were coming from out of state she was very flexible with when she could meet with us. She has very happy, calm disposition which is great for any wedding stress or nerves! On our wedding day she was very attentive to our needs and went above and beyond reserving some hors d'oeurves for us (since we missed some of our cocktail hour for photos). The venue is stunning!! There are multiple great photo opportunities for not only the newly weds but the guests as well. Our guests loved the veranda in the evening because they could use that space to converse while the music was playing inside. The MOST compliments we received about our wedding was the incredible food service (both quality and speed). I have not been to a wedding with faster food service. They served 130 delicious plated meals and our DJ was shocked at how quickly everyone had their food, was done eating, and was ready to start dancing. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone! I wasn't sure if I wanted a country club wedding, but between the food, the incredible views along the Potomac, and the attentive staff, I would not do it any differently! Thank you River Creek!!!

Melissa and Patricia were absolutely fantastic. From my very first conversation with Patricia I knew I had to have my wedding at River creek. Patricia was so accommodating on making specific adjustments and was so professional and responsive the entire process. Shortly after finalizing everything is when I was in contact with Melissa. Melissa is honestly so incredibly sweet, professional, and 100000% a rockstar. The entire planning process was so smooth I honestly cannot say enough amazing things about Melissa. My mom and friends continue to text each other in our group chat going on and on about how perfect the day was and how amazing Melissa was. The entire staff at River creek including Oscar and the gentleman who sits at the front desk are soooo incredibly kind and just makes you feel so welcome the second you walk through the doors. I absolutely had the best wedding and I owe in large part to Patricia and Melissa and everyone at River creek. Thank you all so much for such an amazing day I will never forget.

Have your wedding at River Creek!! We had the best experience we could hope for. The venue is stunning (our guests loved the view), the food is delicious, and the staff is super kind and professional. We started working with RCC in fall of 2020, and even though several staff members changed in the interim, our interactions with all of them were wonderful. Alisha was our day-of coordinator and she was the best. Our day went so smoothly, and we got several compliments from guests saying it was one of the most organized events they’ve been to. We’ll always be thankful for our experience at River Creek, and can’t recommend the venue highly enough.

We couldn’t have been happier with River Creek! The views of the Potomac was just beautiful and with a Spring wedding, it was spectacular! My husband wanted the Potomac view and I am so happy with how the weather and pictures will turn out!

Everyone at the venue was amazing and we did get a few switches with our coordinators but everyone said it was like a fairytale! I have no complaints besides the day going by so quickly but superb service and everyone made it beautiful for us!!

We had a very wonderful experience. Yeh venue is beautiful, and Amanda made it super easy for all the arrangements, including decor.

Melene and the broader River Creek team were fantastic! Everything was perfect - food, logistics, beautiful venue, not much else to say! You guys made it work and we really appreciate it. To this day our guests still rave about how much fun they had at RCC.

River Creek Club made our wedding day so beautiful! The venue is amazing and Melene is on top of everything! From the minute we chose RCC, every single question I had, they were on top of it. Every request we had, they made it happen. RCC was more than flexible during COVID and did everything they could to make sure that our wedding was safe and that everyone felt comfortable. Not to mention the food and drinks were AMAZING!

Only tip - do not use Edibles Incredible for cake from the preferred vendors list, the cake really put a damper on the night and the company has caused endless stress, which no bride needs!

Growing up in River Creek and seeing so many beautiful weddings, I honestly never thought I would get married here. After touring about a dozen different venues, we knew River Creek was the perfect place because of its amazing staff, gorgeous views, and elegant style. We met Rachael at their wedding open house and from day one she worked with us to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams. She responded to emails quickly, answered all our numerous questions, and helped to customize their wedding packages to suit our desires (e.g. multiple floor plans, larger dance floor, vegan/vegetarian meals). During the final walkthrough, we met Melene who would be there on our wedding day. The transition from Rachael to Melene was seamless and they both made sure to double check every timeline event, design plan, and decoration placement. We made a few last minute changes with which Melene was very accommodating. On our wedding day, Melene checked in with us frequently and the staff did a wonderful job setting up, serving everyone, and clearing down. We honestly felt pampered and could not have asked for a better team to have with us both on our wedding day and throughout the entire planning process.

I visited 12 venues that had water views before choosing River Creek Club. One of my colleagues who got married here a few years before recommended it and I'm so glad she did. Melene and Rachel were a dream to work with. They were patient, kind and professional when answering my questions from Day 1 to I Do Day. They were incredible in keeping the day rolling and making all my dreams come true throughout the evening.
The food was excellent! I kept getting compliments all night about how tender the beef was and coming from this crowd that is quite the statement. My dad was a meat cutter for 35 years so the steaks definitely had to impress, and they did! The bartenders were friendly and made our two signature cocktails perfectly time and time again. I even like how some of the staff got in on the fun by taking a few surprise photos in the DJ Chris Styles Events photobooth! I highly recommend this venue for your wedding or event. Great value!

We live in River Creek and knew the venue was beautiful. We didn't expect everything else to be just as perfect as the venue.
The staff was simply amazing. Melene and Rachael’s preparation work, patience with a stress-y bride, and small details made a huge impression. The tireless service staff set up a beautiful room, preparing delicious food, ran a swift bar, serving with a smile, while swooping plates and glasses away in a blink. We received many compliments on the delicious food (crab cakes and filet) - noting some of the best ever served at a wedding. Also being able to move from a ceremony room directly into a lovely reception room with a long, cover patio overseeing the Potomac River - well, it was just perfect and beautiful (and kept the guests dry when the rain started in the evening).

We are truly grateful to have had such detailed professionals executing our wedding. We are certain that without the professional, personal service the staff offered, things would not have been as seamless. We are so happy to call River Creek our home. We are even more pleased that our friends and family were able see just how lucky we are to be part of RCC and were able to share in the celebration of one of the happiest days of our life. The special people that make up the RCC staff, are what makes RCC so special.

Our wedding planners listed River Creek Club on a venue visit after telling them the types of places we were looking for. It was the very last place we went on a cold November day, but I was immediately warmed up just by walking in the front door at RCC. We were greeted by Rachael who took us on a tour of the club house. As we walked though I started seeing my wedding come to life on the beautiful terrace looking over the Potomac and the large room with fireplaces on either end. Rachael was immensely flexible on everything we asked for. We were never met with a “No we can’t do that”.
As my wedding day got closer we met Melene (who rocks just as much as Rachael!). She helped us navigate surprise cousins having to bring their children and some last minutes changes due to a hurricane.
Overall the events team at RCC is hands down the best! If you have the chance to have your wedding here...DO IT!

My wedding and reception were both at River Creek Club and it was phenomenal!! The staff, food and location was excellent from start to finish. Our wedding was a Kentucky Derby Sunday brunch theme with cocktail hour, and unlimited mimosa bar!!! The staff from Rachael Rutherford, Amanda Gervais & Melene Tolson, each one of these ladies made my experience with this organization unforgettable. They allowed us to bring our decorations a week before and visit as many times as we needed leading up to the wedding day to ensure our day was great. So accomodating and responsive from the initial inquiry, every email and phone call within 24 hours. Because of these ladies, our wedding day and experience on that day was THE BEST!!!! I have nothing but GREAT and AWESOME things to say. Every wish was granted, these ladies were professional, provided above and beyond service. Every staff member I encountered was courtesy and provided the same level of service as these ladies. WE LOVED everything about our day!!! Our guests gushed at how lovely the facility and grounds were, how much they enjoyed the food. You get to experience taking pictures in a golf cart on the grounds after your ceremony. If your looking for an all in one venue, this is it. The customer service was IMPECCABLE compared to others I've experienced!!! The value was worth the cost and the service we received!! We couldn't have chosen a better venue on our special day!!!!!

We couldn't be happier that we chose River Creek as our venue. Not only was the view fantastic but we loved that we were the only couple getting married that day and had the place to ourselves (such a different feel than a wedding factory venue). Rachael was a FANTASTIC venue coordinator who made sure our wedding went off without a hitch. Not only did she make sure that everything was set up properly, when we finished walking up the aisle she had 2 glasses of champagne waiting for us. You're also able to drop things off the day before and pick things up the day after which is a huge lifesaver given how busy the wedding weekend is. We highly recommend River Creek - it was such a great decision.

We had the most amazing experience at the River Creek Club. If you are looking for beauty, elegance and a well-run happy place, look no further! We had a fall wedding on the patio followed by a dinner reception with stations of amazing food. The staff there made it so easy for us. The best value, too, as we did not have our wedding on a Saturday.

River Creek is a Club that sits on a golf course in a gated community with a scenic view of the Potomac River. It was the perfect setting for my daughters wedding. The staff is exceptional. They were the easiest to work with from the beginning to the special day! The club rents to the public and will do anything for you. They set up for the reception, they cleaned up and coordinated with all of the vendors. If you are looking for a place to have an event, I highly recommend River Creek and their staff! You will not be disappointed!

Rachael and Amanda at River Creek were incredibly accommodating, abd we had the most beautiful wedding at River Creek! They were so kind and professional, and our guests loved the venue and service. I would highly highly recommend River Creek for your event!

Rachel was AWESOME! She helped us the whole time from start to finish and we absolutely loved working with her! The only issue was that because we had such beautiful weather, people were sitting in the outside area under the veranda and were all pretty loud during the ceremony. Other than that, Rachel really helped us out with everything and we could not have done it without her. A huge plus was that the food was AMAZING! We received so many compliments on how good the food was. Thanks River Creek!

Do NOT hesitate to book your event at River Creek Club. Everything about them is wonderful. The food is literally the best wedding food that ANY of my guests have ever had, they served 160 people lightning fast, and best of all, the food was hot! Rachel (private events coordinator) is the most chill, personable, yet professional person I've had the pleasure of working with. She and everyone at RCC bent over backwards to make sure our day went smoothly. The veranda is a beautiful location for a ceremony, and the main ballroom easily accommodated our wedding of 160 with no problem at all. Highly recommended!

I am so happy that we chose River Creek for our Rehearsal Dinner. Rachel and Aley couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They made having a rehearsal dinner a breeze! The venue was beautiful with sweeping views of the Potomac River while the Potomac Room was the perfect size for our dinner for 50- not too big, not too small. Unlike other venues, River Creek didn't nickle and dime me to death. Want a projector? No problem, it's included. Need more room for the buffet? No problem, we'll set it up in the adjoining room. Need to set up early? No problem, come as soon as the previous event is over. Other venues would have charged extra, extra, extra for all of these incidentals. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful while the food was delicious. All at a great price! Thank you River Creek for making our Rehearsal Dinner a great success!

Right after we got engaged, my now wife and I looked at nearly 50 venues online and in person. We initially took River Creek off of our list because the upfront cost was more expensive than other venues. But, then we quickly learned that all the “less expensive” venues nickel-and-dime things like chair rentals, centerpieces, etc. River Creek does it all! Aley, Rachel, Kenny and the whole event team took such good care of us. Anything we needed, they handled.

Just before the wedding on 4-16-16, I forgot to drop off ribbon meant to be tied around our centerpieces. Rachel called asking if we still wanted it; I said no – but then she surprised us by going out and buying a perfectly matching ribbon and extra, small decorations for the centerpiece. And, when the bakery delivering the cake messed up – causing our top cake tier to tumble to the floor – Kenny and Rachel saved the day! The two-tier cake was so beautiful, it was impossible to tell that the whole thing collapsed minutes earlier.

The venue and service was so stellar that a few guests compared River Creek to a wedding at the Ritz! Thank you all so much for making our special day so stress-free, easy and memorable.

I cannot say enough great things about River Creek Club. We had our ceremony and reception for 178 people in March. It is such a beautiful location, once you enter the neighborhood, it's already magical. The staff at River Creek Club exceeded our expectations. Aley and Rachel were so helpful throughout the entire process. I emailed them often to ask questions and they were extremely accommodating. We didn't get ready at RCC but once we got there for pictures, the bridal suite was ready for us with water and straws, it was just such a nice touch. Any time I needed something throughout the night, I just asked any staff member and it was done in a matter of seconds. They also do their own pipe and drape in house so it was so nice to not have to worry about finding someone for that. It was just such a beautiful location, the price was right, and the staff was wonderful to work with. I wouldn't have picked any other location!!! Not to mention the food was delicious and plated beautifully!!! I cannot speak highly enough about everything, I didn't have to worry about a thing when I was getting ready at the hotel during the day and once I showed up to the venue, I was in awe of how beautiful it was. Thank you for a magical night RCC!!!!

We were planning our daughter's Virginia wedding from Florida and we were so fortunate to work with Kelsey Baron who was always available to answer any questions we had and to help us with some ideas for the reception. She was totally professional and her expertise was invaluable. Everything was taken care of from the set up to the take down. The wait staff did a great job. The view was beautiful!

Kelsey and her team at River Creek Club were wonderful. We were able to stop in multiple times to check in and see what was happening on site and how we could make our wedding as gorgeous as possible. Multiple e-mails were sent and responded to quickly, both from myself and my mother. The day of couldn't have been more perfect - although, there was a bit of a communication breakdown and the night person (who was not Kelsey) should have had a bit more finger on the pulse of the timeline. Beyond that, gorgeous day at a gorgeous venue with delicious food. Everybody noted that this was truly, no lie, one of the best they'd gone to. And our friends are not the type to hand out compliments willingly, so I'd say it was a win!

I was just married this October at River creek and it was perfect! Kelsey was absolutely fantastic to work with! I would send Her multiples emails with many questions and she always replied quickly and was very kind! She always accommodated my needs and never said no to me! Truly a pleasure working with Her. The venue is beautiful, and the staff is great. Sergio helped us during the rehearsal dinner and wedding and I could only say good things about him as well. Our only inconvience was the rain. But Kelsey quickly went to our plan b and brought our outside ceremony inside and it was still perfect. I still have guest telling me dinner was delicious and the bar service was great. My husband and I would recommend River Creek 100%!

I cannot say enough about the flawless service we received from River Creek for my daughter's wedding reception!! On a day that can be the most stressful and most memorable, Kelsey and the staff make the day as easy as possible. The venue is absolutely breathtaking! I received compliments all night about how wonderful the wedding reception was and how it was the best my guests had ever been to! The best food, the best service and the most beautiful venue one can have on their wedding day! I have also used River Creek for corporate events and they never disappoint. An exceptional value for any type of event you need to host! I constantly recommend River Creek to my friends and associates and look forward to using them again.

All of the staff at River Creek Club were extremely helpful, professional and flexible as we planned the wedding. We couldnt have asked for better service. And we were able to use the facility the morning of the wedding, even though the wedding wasnt til 5:00 pm. The food was amazing and there was great attention given to every detail that had been discussed. While not inexpensive, we felt that the quality of food and the many additional services that RCC provided free of charge gave us great value for what we spent. And the result was a beautiful day we will remember for the rest of our lives.

River Creek Club was the perfect venue for our wedding! The views are absolutely beautiful. Our guests loved being near the water, while still being at an elegant country club. Kelsey and the entire RCC staff are responsive, easy to work with, always willing to help, and extremely professional!

Aley Montel did all she could to make Rachel's wedding perfect. She was wonderful! We are so grateful to her, the chef and all those at River Creek who helped make our daughter's wedding such a joyful time. Aley was a great help in all the things we needed to know and do to be ready for the big day. We even did our own flowers at the venue and she was wonderful with coordinating all that entailed. Also, she was so kind and calm! She would be right there with a cold drink of water for me each time I started feeling some stress. We are so grateful that our wedding was at beautiful River Creek!

We got married during the day, and there was a flash flood warning the whole day. We had the ceremony outside on the veranda, and then had our reception inside. The veranda is very covered, so everyone stayed dry!
Our ceremony started at 11:00, so Aley and Kelsey let my bridesmaids and I come at 6:00am to start getting ready. They would have even let us come earlier if we needed to!
Everything turned out more perfect than I could have ever imagined! Throughout the day, Kelsey, Aley, Kenny, and their team were managing every single thing and making sure our day was perfect. I am somewhat of a perfectionist and get stressed easily, but on my wedding day, I had absolutely no stress! They all went above and beyond, not just on the wedding day, but all the planning time leading up to it!
We had a 2-year engagement, so we visited A LOT of venues. We knew we had to have our wedding at River Creek. It was beautiful, inside and outside, the staff was always welcoming, my husband would be able to get a free round of golf plus invite a couple of friends, and they would help us stay within our tight budget. They did everything they could to accommodate us, but still give us the wedding that had everything that we wanted and more!
During my times of stress while planning my wedding, I would be able to meet with Aley or Kelsey, and they would talk me through every detail that was bouncing around in my head. They were always so calm, and never hesitated to make a request or idea work. All my stress would just go away each time I would talk to them. They were very flexible. They worked so closely with me, always considering my schedule, and made planning MUCH easier!
We could not have asked for a better wedding venue and have such wonderful event planners supporting and guiding us every step of the way. I would very highly recommend River Creek Club to anyone who is getting married!

I had both my wedding ceremony and reception at River Creek and it was absolutely beautiful. The venue is stunning, with a veranda that overlooks the Potomac River, and an amazing value. And the food was some of the best i've had! There are a multitude of menu options to choose from as well. Kelsey was our wedding coordinator and she was so extremely helpful, accommodating and professional. Every question I had she answered promptly, and made wedding planning so easy. My wedding day went so smoothly, and was able to enjoy every minute of it. I highly recommend River Creek. The venue, catering, service, scenery, is absolutely perfect.

My husband and I had the best possible experience holding our wedding reception at River Creek! Everyone that we dealt with were extremely professional, friendly, and willing to work with us to make our day everything that we wanted it to be! Kelsey, Kenny, and the entire staff (including the server whom we met when we did our dinner tasting) were so warm and welcoming and many of our guests commented on this as well. The venue is stunning and the food was delicious. There is not a thing that we would change about our wedding day and River Creek was such a huge part of that. Thank you River Creek staff!!

We were thrilled with this vendor. They were very responsive all the way up through the day of the wedding, and they were extremely helpful during the wedding. They were happy to run interference, and as the bride, that was great. They were very attentive to me and my husband the entire night, and wanted to make sure the event was perfect. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a wedding. The views were spectacular, and they really made the event a special night.

River Creek was the perfect place for a rehearsal dinner. It has a beautiful view from the outdoor patio. The ballroom lets in a lot of beautiful natural light. The food was wonderful, as well as the service. They were also very easy to work with and reasonably priced.

I highly recommend working with River Creek Club for either the rehearsal or for the actual wedding ceremony/reception. My contact was super responsive and provided a lot of very useful information in response to all of my questions. I also found them to be more affordable than hosting the rehearsal dinner at a restaurant. Plus, we had so much space between the room and the adjacent veranda that we used, that all of our guests were impressed. The food was excellent and the service was perfect - always around at the right moments. The set up was exactly as I had wanted (and I had requested an unusual u shape set up). The event manager checked in on us as well. Overall an excellent experience, and I can see how a wedding held here would go so smoothly and be beautiful - it really is a gorgeous venue.

River Creek Club was the first and only venue that we looked at for our wedding. From the moment that we sat down with Amy, we felt so comfortable and knew that our wedding was in good hands. The event team is so incredibly flexible and are willing to go the extra mile to make your day special. The setting is gorgeous--the room is neutral colored so it goes with almost all colors, the grounds are immaculate, and it has a gorgeous backdrop with the golf course and Potomac River in the background. Amy replied to all of my emails quickly (sometimes even on her day off). Kenny was our coordinator for the night and he was amazing. He made sure our night went smooth, problem solved, worked with my vendors, and helped us with anything that we could have possibly needed. Our guests could not stop raving about the venue, food, and the top notch service that was provided by the staff. Speaking of the food---delicious! Certainly not your typical "wedding" food. From start to finish, the entire staff was incredible. If we had to do it all over again, we would choose River Creek Club every single time. Check it out! You will not be disappointed.

I had been to River Creek for two prior business functions and was impressed by the venue and quality of the food. This past week, we held our daughter's reception for 165 family and guests. I can't say enough how wonderful and perfectly the event went off. Our coordinator Amy, was the best event host we could of asked for. For the entire year of planning, we were able to visit and review plans with Amy and other club staff whenever we requested. The room, decor, setup, both in and outside the dinning room were perfect. The band we brought in had plenty of room the balcony was a fantastic overflow area and cigar bar with extraordinary views of the grounds and Potomac River.

The staff couldn't have been more professional or courteous to our guests. The food was outstanding and we're still receiving rave reviews about it.

To say I'd recommend the venue is an understatement.

River Creek did a fabulous job for our daughter and son-in-law. The ceremony and reception was there over the memorial day weekend. It was a beautiful day which enhanced the environment and setting. River Creek catered the event as well. The staff was consistently professional, pleasant, creative and responsive. The chef worked with us to create an alternative menu; it was "different" and delicious! We are still getting rave reviews from our guests. The event ran smoothly; everyone's needs were met and the bride and groom were thrilled! Thanks to everyone at River Creek we have an endless supply of wonderful memories!

My wife and I were married at RCC this past May and could not have been happier with the way everything turned out. RCC is an amazing venue inside and out. We worked with Amy Monteleon throughout the whole process and she was great! Every detail was noted and our wedding/reception went smoothly...not to mention a lot of fun. We asked if they would be able to do a slightly different menu for our wedding - Southern BBQ style - which they did, and our guests raved about how great the food was. The chef and staff were very excited and accommodating to do something that they don't usually do. We used the balcony for the ceremony and then our guests used it throughout the night to take in the beautiful scenery. A big thank you to everyone who helped make our day so special!

The second I walked into River Creek Club I knew that it was the place I wanted to get married at. The view is amazing from the veranda. After the ceremony we had the option of taking a golf cart with the wedding party and take pictures by the water. Angela was wonderful to work with and really set my mind at ease. She was not able to stay the entire wedding day due to her child being sick but she made sure everything was in place before she left, then left me in very capable hands. We opted for the stations instead of having a plated meal. We got tons of compliments on how good the food was. My only regret is not being able to take advantage of the beautiful picture opportunites because it snowed.

From the moment we set foot on the Club ground & veranda overlooking the Potomac River we knew this was the place to hold our event.
We can't say enough here about what this place & people mean to us & how they contributed to the success of our wedding. How many venue actually make a couple want to get married again??!! We will try to summarize our feelings below & please look at our album to get a sample of what we mean!

1) Aley - our sales contact made accommodation & fought for us on pricing which we are eternally grateful. The club realize what the market would bear & matched all comers. It help meet our budgetary needs.
2) Angela - our Venue Fairy God Mother Coordinator extraordinaire, who took care of us & kept us calm leading up to the event & during the day of.
3) The venue - gloriously overlooking the Potomac River & where the veranda served as a backdrop for our ceremony. Sheltering from any inclement weather (we had sunshine!)
4) Food - outstanding - can you say 2 huge crab cakes per guest! & the options didn't end there. We could have literally had anything cooked up. Our high maintenance guests thought it was world class cuisine.
5) Captain & wait staff - outstanding. They moved & served with cool efficiency & a bounce in their steps.

From the moment we contracted with River Creek, the people went overboard to answer any of our questions esp. Angela. She always returned our phone calls & emails about any topic.
We had 2 tastings - 1 @ the open house & one for the menu selection. If my husband's Mother ok'd it, it must have been great for the rest of us! Yummmy!
Fast forward to the day of, the crappy chiavari chair vendor (see my other review) delivered the chairs 30 mins before the ceremony on the veranda. It forced the staff to unpack the NEW chairs in record time & only pushed the event by 1 hour. Anybody else & we would have had to cancel!

The staff & Angela created a beautiful atmosphere for the ceremony with help from the Potomac River as a backdrop. Our guests remarked that the setting was classy & the most beautiful they had seen. ( You can see what I mean in my profile picture album).

When it came time for photos, Angela golf carted us down to the river for our private couples post ceremony picture session. She fed & hydrated us as we were modeling! This was the TLC we always felt with Angela & River Creek!

When the reception arrive it was pure first class service & cuisine. The tables were gloriously set & the staff was at their service best - no delays. In a word - PERFECT.
We also found out that RC actually extended our time limited open bar because we didn't get started on time - through no fault of their's! What class!

At the end of the night after all the toasts & crab cakes & cake, we had to say goodbye to RC the venue & their wonderful staff.

They were a 100% partner in the success of our wedding. Angela & staff made us feel welcomed & loved & our 170 guests impressed. River Creek are professional but not stuffy with a great sense of humor. They are extremely easy to deal with & nothing can't be accommodated by RC. We asked for the world & we feel they met everything we asked for! Dare I say southern hospitality in the DC Metro area?! Who would have thunk that existed in the DMV!

We can't recommend them enough to any people looking for a picture perfect venue to hold an event here. River Creek held our hands as we walked down the wedding planning aisle & help guided us through planning all the details. Thank you RC!

ps- speaking of getting our backs, the crappy chair vendor that we are in dispute with for their failure to honor their delivery commitment actually tried to accuse of us of stealing their chairs.
The food & beverage manager actually came in on his own time to defend us from the hostile chair pickup person at the end of the night & took personal count of the chairs being returned. We are forever grateful to River Creek & their wonderful staff!

We absolutely loved this venue. We went to a lot of places before choosing River Creek Club and were not disappointed. We dealt with Amy at the Venue and she was very communicative and helpful. The service was excellent. Everyone's meals came out timely and were warm. My only advice to the venue would be to communicate better about the cake. Some of our guests did not get cake because the top tier was not cut. I know that is traditional to save but we would have prefered to be asked, as we would have served it. This is a great venue to have children as you can have the secluded in another room so that all the guests can be close to their children and still enjoy some adult time. The venue worked with us on our budget. We served wine and beer on the top level and guest could get hard liquour downstairs at the cash bar. Great time, professional, lovely!

The entire staff at River Creek was a joy to work with. From their event planners to the day of supervisors. We had a very enjoyable time meeting with their event planners and they helped us out with every detail of our wedding. We brought in some non-traditional elements and some religious elements - they accommodated everything. They even ran out the day of the wedding to buy something we forgot - talk about great service!

The wait staff was very friendly and the event managers made sure everything went smoothly. Our guests loved the food and commented several times about how great it was.

We would definitely recommend River Creek to anyone looking for a venue to host their ceremony and reception.

Although our event planning staff changed over the course of the year, Aley stepped in and facilitated the perfect wedding reception at River creek. We were so pleased with the way the whole evening turned out. All our guests commented on how fantastic the food was and the service could not have been better. With Aley's flawless leadership, she and the staff fulfilled our every request and made our reception truly spectacular. Plus, you will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful venue in Northern Virginia. The view of the Potomac is impossible to beat!

When we first signed with River Creek, Liz LaPorte was the event captain. She was promoted and Aley took over who was GREAT!

There was nothing she couldnt fix. Our table cloths were leased and they arrived on site the day before the wedding. Aley looked them over and noticed they were the wrong size so she assisted us with having the order corrected and keeping me calm.

The staff was so friendly and everything went smooth. We were even rescued by a fleet of golf carts and wait staff when we were running behind schedule for pictures :).

The staff at River Creek Country Club was outstanding. The food was fantastic, and the highly attentive waitstaff made my reception seamless, the event captain even called my cake vendor when he realized she was late, even offering to purchase a cake from a local store in case she couldn't deliver by the event time. The event planning staff was a breeze to work with, highly responsive via email and willing to do anything to help make my wedding day special. My guests complimented the food, breathtaking views of the Potomac River, and friendliness of the staff. They were outstanding!

River Creek far exceeded our expectations. The set up was perfect and staff was attentive throughout the evening. The food and cake were delicious and looked beautiful. We did have a bit of a rocky start with the management there, but the new management is very responsive, professional and accomadating.

Work significantly with the chef, who is most accommodating - but expectations need to set appropriately.
Similarly, wait staff do need lots of guidance of serving guests.

The rest was more than fine. They are most willing to help and be flexible - do take advantage of that.

River Creek Club is a beautiful venue inside and out, with an amazing view of the Potomac River! We had such great compliments of our venue choice from our guests and we couldn't have asked for a better place to have our wedding on 8/20/16. Our wedding coordinator & banquet captain was very responsive and accommodating to all of our needs and provide such great customer service. All the staff were very friendly and on point at our wedding. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is looking for a wedding venue and/or any other events!

My husband and I are so glad that we chose River Creek for our ceremony and reception. We worked with Amy and Aley on the planning phase. They both had great ideas and easily accommodated our requests. Kenny was our POC on the day of our wedding. He was kind enough to take us to various photo spots around the club and was able to address all last minute needs. The food at River Creek is really top notch. We received so many compliments on the wonderful food and bar. Thank you, Aley, Amy and Kenny for helping to make our wedding day a stress-free success!

I cannot express how perfect River Creek was as a venue. My husband and I got married right after Christmas and the atmosphere was spectacular. Beautiful, ornate Christmas trees were set up inside the venue, lights hung around the outside of the building, and many little decorations were placed all around. All of the additional decorations we had brought in were beautifully set up by the staff at River Creek. Food was amazing, the view was beautiful, and the staff were spectacular. I was fortunate enough to have Angela as my coordinator and she went above and beyond to make you feel at ease. I was having issues with the bustle of my dress and sure enough Angela came to the rescue! Also--the price could not be beat! They worked with my budget to make sure I had the best bang for my buck! Highly recommended!

Angela Alexander was so amazing to work with. She made my wedding planning process a completely relaxing and easy process. She was willing to help with anything i needed and on the day of my wedding, she did everything she could to make sure the day went smoothly.

River Creek Club is GORGEOUS! When Scott and I went there looking for wedding venues I told him I did not need to go look anywhere else because I knew that was where I wanted to marry him. The Veranda is perfect for a ceremony over looking the Potomac, the golf course is was picturesque for wedding photos, the food was EPIC we still have people raving about it (HIGHLY recommend the Foccaccia Panzanella Salad its delightful), and the ballroom is STUNNING! This place was everything and more that we could have dreamed of for our special day.
The staff at River Creek is also AMAZING, the wait staff was super friendly and super helpful at the rehearsal dinner and the day of the wedding and the bartenders were phenomenal and very generous to all of us. We worked with Rachael when we were securing the venue and initial planning she is very responsive I never waited more than a day for her to respond to emails, she was always flexible about meeting with her, she was accommodating with different requests that we had, she never told me no we can't do that. She was an all around wonderful person to work with always made everything easy and low stress.
The on site wedding coordinator Melene, is seriously the sweetest person I have ever met in my entire life! She genuinely cares about making sure that every single detail is perfect for your special day. When working with her she was always flexible with appointments, very responsive to emails, never got frustrated when I was constantly changing things, she just rolled with it and say whatever you want we can do it just let me know how you want it, she set up EVERYTHING for us the day of the wedding all we had to do was show up and everything was PERFECT, she constantly came to check in on me throughout the day (which was so sweet of her), we were late to the rehearsal dinner and she was super nice about it didn't make a fuss or cause any extra added stress (in fact was very helpful in destressing the situation), she took charge over the rehearsal and made sure everyone knew where they needed to be and what they needed to be doing, and on the day of everything went so smoothly thanks to her.
If we were to have any more events in the future River Creek Club is 100% the place we would go to. I highly. highly recommend them!

We had the most amazing experience at the River Creek Club. Not only was the view fantastic but we loved that we were the only couple getting married that day and had the place to ourselves. Rachel and Amanda (private events coordinator) are the most incredible, personable, yet professional person I've had the pleasure of working with. .
They were the easiest to work with from the beginning to the special day. We could not have asked for a better wedding venue and have such wonderful event Coordinator supporting and guiding us every step of the way. Every detail was noted and our wedding/reception went smoothly...not to mention a lot of fun. The staff at River Creek Club exceeded our expectations. You're also able to drop things off the day before and pick things up the day after which is a huge lifesaver given how busy the wedding weekend is. If you are looking for a place to have an event, I highly recommend River Creek and their staff!

River Creek Club is a beautiful venue. We had our rehearsal dinner of about 40 people there. We chose to go with a buffet, an open bar, and long tables arranged in a square for seating. They set up heat lamps outside so guests could still enjoy the balcony even though it was winter. The only negative is they served different desserts than we specified in the planning process. All of their food is good so the guests were still happy, but we didn't get 100% what we asked for.

We had our ceremony and reception here in March 2010. The ceremony was indoors and everything was set up for us. The centerpieces and table linens were all included and we just added a few little details of our own. The food was amazing and the menu offered lots of choices and options. I was able to contact the event planner with questions throughout the planning process.

River Creek is in a beautiful setting, they serve delicious food and the staff is friendly and professional. We worked with Aley Montel and she was very accomidating, professional, and super friendly!

Beautiful waterfront views! They were flexable for an indoor or outdoor ceremony. They also catered to all of our guests needs and altered the menu according to what we wanted. They offer so many options for table settings and seating arrangements the possibilites are endless.

Our wedding reception went so smoothly and it is due to River Creek's amazing service. Angela was our wedding coordinator provided through the club. She was very knowledgeable and on top of things. She was there for each step. She made sure the other vendors did as they were supposed to. She also invited us to a free wedding preview where they let you taste a variety of meals and wines, as well as place settings and such. The venue was gorgeous overlooking the water. I can't say enough good things about this place. Book it!!!

River Creek is a beautiful and elegant venue for a wedding reception, or any event! The country club had a home feel to it, and people felt comfortable and at ease at our event. The terrace was a great addition to our wedding reception, and people walked in and out from the main room to the terrace that overlooked the river and golf course. We also used a small room to the side of the main room as our "kids room" and decorated it accordingly. That was a BIG hit for those parents who brought energetic little ones. :) River Creek staff was very flexible and incredibly easy to work with. The kitchen staff was out of this world!!! They prepared an AMAZING meal that our guests continue to complement on to this day. I can't explain to you how wonderful the food tasted. We went with the dinner stations, and our guests stated they had 2nd and 3rd helpings of the food. We highly recommend River Creek to any bride and groom looking for a quality place for their event, and one that offers flexibility with professionalism. Thank you River Creek! Job well done!!!

Our reception at the River Creek club was absolutely perfect. The quality and class of the clubhouse are elegant and the food was gourmet. Everyone was raving about the food.

Unlike many venues I visited, River Creek had very few rules or policies. Everything I asked for or wanted was fine with them and they didn't keep adding additional costs. I felt like a treated bride every time I met with them before the wedding. It was a great experience working with them and they didn't disappoint on the wedding day! Great service and a really nice team of people to work with!

River Creek Club was an incredible location for our wedding ceremony and reception. Patricia and Melissa are the event coordinators and we’re extremely kind, helpful, and informative throughout the entire planning process. They were also very attentive on wedding day. The passed appetizers and entrees were delicious and the event staff worked very efficiently and checked in with us at various points. Bartenders made delicious cocktails and were able to serve our guests in a timely manner! We loved the view of the Potomac River from the clubhouse and being able to have the veranda for cocktail hour. This venue type, being inclusive of food and beverage, made the planning process very smooth. We would recommend this venue to others for their wedding day!

We were happy the the River Creek Club was able to accommodate an afternoon wedding. They were amazing the day of our wedding, and made us feel completely at ease that things would go smoothly. We also had about ten kids under the age of ten, and Aley suggested a kid room with movies playing-- I made coloring books, bought crayons and some snacks, and it was a total hit! Everyone also raved about how devious the good was- and the bartender did not skimp on drinks.

River Creek is a beautiful venue and our guests raved about it afterwards. There really isn't a more beautiful space. It was remodeled not long before our wedding and looks even better than it did before.

I had my hair and makeup done and got dressed there, but would recommend that brides get ready somewhere else. There wasn't anywhere to hang my dress until Amy, our coordinator, was able to find a rack to wheel in, so there weren't any opportunities for nice "getting ready" shots. The room was set up like a meeting room with office chairs, which made it hard for everyone to have space to get ready and also prevented some nice photos. They did bring in some champagne for us though, which was really nice. The other issue was that someone (maybe someone touring the place) barged into the room while I was getting ready to change. I imagine most brides get ready at home or at a church, so it's probably not a priority.

The ceremony went off without a hitch and Amy did a great job coordinating everything, cueing the DJ and telling everyone when to start walking.

Guests loved the food and drinks, and dinner was brought out in a timely manner. Wait staff was very efficient (it might have helped that we only had 70 guests). In some ways, they were a little too efficient - I had a few complaints that guests set their drinks down for a minute and would come back to find them gone, even though they had been nearly full.

Sometimes emails or phone calls got an immediate response, which we appreciated, and other times they would take up to a week to be returned. I understood early on when the wedding was months away, but with two or three weeks to go I expected that it would be more of a priority.

Overall, I would still recommend them to anyone and it is a great place, just think twice before getting dressed there.

I really can't say enough about Angela and the folks over at River Creek. They were able to rearrange their space to fit our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and all flowed so well. Ceremonies are usually outside on their clubhouse patio overlooking the Potomac River but we were able to work with a side room to make an intimate ceremony which then changed to the dance floor.

Angela was great in saving space so that the girls could stay all day and get ready at the venue, and that the guys had a place to get ready as well. And I think above all, the FOOD is AMAZING! We had lunch there a bunch of times and dinner as well and were always overwhelmed. They cook everything on the premises and it was a huge hit with the guests. We would definitely recommend the space and Angela's welcoming and flexible attitude toward everything took such a huge burden off our shoulders. She was also there day-of to help with coordinating so that we didn't have to hire someone else.

We had our rehearsal dinner at River Creek Club, and are overall pretty happy with how everything turned out. I worked with a few different people along the way, and all were very quick at responding and answering any questions I had, which was very helpful. They also allowed a complimentary food and wine tasting which was AMAZING. We went with a BBQ buffet for our rehearsal dinner, they allowed us to tweak the menu for it to be exactly what we wanted and we really appreciated that. The buffet food was so good, I think we received more compliments on our rehearsal dinner food than we did on our wedding food :) It was not your typical buffet meal, everything was hot, fresh and SO tasty. My only complaint is that they didn't have out enough tables and chairs for all of our guests to sit, so there was some scrambling done last minute as folks were going through the buffet line. I also had to remind them to bring out a vegan meal that we had ordered, feel like they should've brought that out on their own without me reminding them. Overall, River Creek was a beautiful venue with tasty food and great people to work with.

The venue was amazing. They were very accommodating. They unfortunately had a wedding booked the day before ours, so we had to rehearse on Thursday instead of Friday. It all worked out in the end and both of the wedding planners were great! The view out on the veranda was great

Food was superior, wait staff was acceptable, ambiance was perfect.
Be aware when planning a summer event: the air conditioning system could not keep the dining/dancing area cool. Our wedding was on a very hot July day, however, this was not a surprise. I mentioned my concerns about the temperature of the dining area several times. The last time was the night before when we visited to put some decorations out and it was warm. I felt there was plenty of time to sufficiently cool off the club before our event to allow for the air conditioning loss due to guests entering and leaving. Our church where the wedding ceremony took place (which is 3x the size of the River Creek clubhouse) was extremely cool and comfortable on the same day.

River Creek Club was AMAZING! Such a beautiful venue, the food was DELICIOUS, and Aley & Angela (the private event directors) were so great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a very personalized wedding.

Aley was a great staff person to work with, although at times it was difficult to connect via email/phone. I LOVED having a dinner tasting beforehand, that was very enjoyable. The evening of the event, the staff had a little trouble sticking with our timeline, thus the dinner hour lasted a very long time, with gaps between when the next dish needed to be brought out.

Susan Sullivan the events director from River Creek was amazing. She stepped right in and got the job done well with attention to every little detail. Going back I would specify when to serve the dinner exactly as we were running behind and guests had to wait a few moments for their food, but the food, venue and service was outstanding for the money. I had countless compliments on venue choice and I highly recommend it.

The location's views are breathtaking and the food is fantastic. We received many compliments on the food -- it was truly a shame we had bad weather that day, or our guests would have been able to enjoy the views a bit more. I will say if you happen to have bad weather, there are really no indoor options for photos, so be warned of that. We also were promised the construction on the outdoor patio would be completed well before our wedding - this was in April and they're still working on this. Also, make sure if you're getting married on the patio, to speak with them about noise control as a lot of members use the patio when the weather is nice. Additionally, there was some turnover in the staff while we planned our wedding, but our planner Rachel who we eventually worked with was fantastic -- very responsive, accommodating and helpful. She truly understands the wedding and event planning industry. Overall, River Creek is a wonderful venue - we love going back there to reminisce on our special day. You really can't beat the views or the food!

Great food, the guest were raving about it. The staff was on time with almost everything (our vendors never got their meals so we had to improvise). The venue is amazing and we were able to get some great photos on theire beautiful property.

River Creek was great! It's a beautiful venue and the food is amazing. We went through a series of contacts there, but Liz, the last one we worked with was great. She was very responsive and she made sure everything happened that should!

I have mixed feelings about having my reception at River Creek. My initial visits were great. The staff seemed personable and eager to help. We made our initial deposit in July, and within a few months, it felt like that eagerness to help and service were gone. I had reached out in late August/early September regarding a special meal and my main point of contact said she'd check with the chef and would get back in touch with me. I waited a week for an update, but got none, so I reached out again. This pattern repeated until the end of September, when I called to get an update. Ultimately, I needed to know if they could accommodate this special request, as I was thinking about offering it to all guests and needed to know if I should include it on my invitations. I finally called and spoke with another member of the events team, at which point I was able to get a decision within a few hours. The chef didn't think that he could make the dish that I'd requested, which wasn't a problem, but I was still frustrated with the amount of time it took to get a response. I worked with my main POC again in early November, about 5-6 weeks before the wedding, at which time I had some last minute questions about set-up. At that time, the POC promised to send me a check list of items that I could start working on and would need to get back to her about a week before the wedding (items such as number and set-up of tables, meal selections, etc.). She did not get this list to me until about 5 days before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, I found out that River Creek did not unlock the doors to the deck, even though we'd discussed having the heaters on and available for the smokers in our party. I had to track down staff to get the doors unlocked, the lights turned on, and the heaters set up. With that being said, my husband I still had a great time and so did our guests. The place was decorated beautifully for the holidays, and the alcohol kept flowing at the open bar!
