Lauren was great to work with! I had emailed her probably 10 different inspiration photos for my bridal bouquet and she was able to make the perfect bouquet for my wedding! The bridesmaid bouquets were equally as beautiful. The corsages were so lovely and all of the mother's adored them. The boutonnieres made the groom and groomsmen look even better. I couldn't have asked for a better florist! -

User2206758 Sent on 07/01/2015We've used River City Florist for many years, They always do a great job, the arrangements and service are always first class. On the day of the wedding they set up at the church, set up at the venue for the reception, moved the flowers that were at the church to the reception after the wedding ceremony and set the flowers from the church at the reception!!! They really did a fabulous job and for that we are thankful!. -

Lynsey Sent on 07/01/2008River city florists were great to work with. Specifically, I worked with Lindsay. She was great. She really put my ideas into reality and gave her opinions only when she felt it was needed. I was able to call about 4 days prior to our wedding to add some flowers to our order. It was no problem with them. It's really great to have that flexibility.
My only complaint was that they forgot the 4 pink roses that we were to give to our moms during the ceremony. Luckily, we had 4 white roses for a memory table so we just used those. They are refunding the money since they forgot
River city wants to make sure you are happy. If you have time the day before the wedding, they ask that you come to approve your flowers. I recommend it so that it's one less thing you have to worry about going smoothly on the day of because you will already know they are great. -
User904123 Sent on 08/19/2012Mark at River City spent a lot of time helping us pick out flowers, and making sure we had everything exactly as we wanted. We asked him to put a special lace handkerchief and necklace into the bride's bouquet and they did a beautiful job. The bride was so happy with the result. They also supplied vases for the head table so the flowers could be used as centerpieces. We had many nice comments about how lovely the flowers were. We can highly recommend them. -

User1494098 Sent on 01/03/2014I used River City Florist for my wedding based on its long-standing excellent reputation in the mid-Missouri area. Unfortunately, a lot of that reputation was built around the talent and reliability of Mark, a floral designer who is no longer there. I worked with a different designer, Marlo, and though she was well-intentioned she created one of the most stressful parts of planning my wedding. At our initial meeting we talked about the kinds of flowers I wanted in my bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, groomsmen's boutonnieres, etc., and she appeared to be on the same page and take notes. The next time we met it was like we'd never discussed any of it. And later, when I was asking her for recommendations on types of flowers we could add, I asked if she knew of any red flowers other than roses and she said she couldn't think of any. (I'd assume working in the floral industry she truly does know more and just wasn't banging on all cylinders that day, but this is just another example of the difficult time I had working with her to nail down details.) Then, a week before the wedding, she called to tell me that none of the daisies that had been shipped in - the main flower I wanted used throughout the wedding - were good enough and I might not be able to have the type of flower that I structured my wedding decorations around at all. Again, this was obviously influenced by the shipments available, but as a professional florist I would have assumed she'd have a backup plan. At the last minute she was able to find a similar type of daisy that worked well enough, but I could have done without the stress in the week leading up to my wedding.
