Best DJ for Non-Traditional & DIY Couples!
We found Bill/Rhythm Express DJ when looking for LGBT-friendly vendors for our October 2023 wedding and are so glad we did!
We specifically were looking for a DJ that understood our crowd (queer younger millennials and our family in their late 50s-early 70s) and that also didn't feel the need to upsell us on uplighting, photo booths, or MC-ing more appropriate for a club atmosphere - which I know Bill also does for other weddings, but that wasn't us!
Music is really important to us and we anticipated a dance-y crowd with the younger generations, but we pretty much exclusively listen to indie rock and Americana music with early 00s throwback hits. A lot of other weddings we've attended have been exclusively Top 40s that maybe only one of our cousins would recognize. Bill was incredibly graceful with the four playlists (guest requests, our ideas of cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing) we sent him and did an awesome job matching our vibe and curating our favorite songs. He also didn't blink at the incredibly long Do Not Play list and added the Cha Cha slide after a friend convinced me during dancing it would actually be fun to add back in after a rowdy Cotton Eye Joe (the only line dance we originally approved).
So many people complimented us on the music choices and an older uncle asked if our friends could come to all the family parties since they all knew the words and dances so well! It was truly representative of our tastes and our crowd was having a blast.
Bill was also very patient and kind day-of. He helped us stay on the timeline, while still being flexible when things came up. He also had a full audio set-up for our outdoor ceremony (which allowed everyone to hear the officiant and our vows, even when it was super windy!!). I really attribute the audio setup to some amount of tears and compliments we received on the ceremony itself.
He also helped us monitor our audio recorder that we used for DIY videography, and the sound came out great!
If you want a DJ that is incredibly organized (all his pre-wedding spreadsheets to gauge our tastes and what moments needed music were so helpful!); someone to manage your wedding timeline; someone who will provide microphones and speakers and an extensive audio set up for your ceremony and dancing (including for videography); someone who can read the room and honor your musical vision be that more traditional or not; and a DJ that is a calming presence yet still a hype man during your wedding day, we would definitely recommend Bill!! -

Friendly, Professional DJ
Bill was very responsive and pleasant to work with from the beginning! We met and discussed the flow of the wedding and he really helped us to nail down timing. He was very professional and kind the day of the event. He had an audio-out option for his set-up, so it was easy to record ceremony/speech audio. The audio quality was good for the ceremony which was outside and speeches that were inside our venue. He kept the night moving along, got people dancing and was very communicative on the day. I would highly recommend Bill aka Rhythm Express DJ! -

Best. DJ. Ever!!
Bill was a dream DJ! I couldn’t recommend someone more. He listened to everything we wanted and worked with us to help create our dream wedding. He was flexible throughout the entire process and the day of. He played the best music and really took the time to understand us and our guests. I need to plan another gathering, just to have Bill as our DJ! -

Must use DJ!
We first found Bill and Rhythm Express on The Knot and after reading previous couples reviews we decided to set up a zoom call with him. He was incredibly kind and working with exactly what we wanted and customized a package to meet our desired music, time frame, and budget. Bill was also incredibly honest with us about any extras we might want and which ones we really shouldn’t pay for due to our location (we cannot say the same for other DJ services we talked with).
Bill was the first to talk with us regarding a timeline and was very flexible when timing got short so we had to cut out certain things last minute.
Bill was such a king caring human and is definitely one of the bright points of our big day!! -

Puts you at ease!
Bill was awesome to work with! I interviewed four different DJ’s and his positive attitude and experience instantly put me at ease. He was an excellent MC who kept the wedding on track. We were an older crew (average age range 35-65) and he knew exactly the right mix of genres to keep all the age groups dancing. We had a couple of video meetings with him where he was able to understand our musical tastes and make suggestions for songs. He also set up outdoor speakers and mics for the ceremony and the ceremony music was crystal clear. Highly recommend Bill! -

Bill is the best!
Our friends used Bill at their wedding and raved about how great he was leading up to their big day and we got to see how great he was at theirs. We knew we made a great choice! Bill was one of our most responsive vendors. He is patient, organized, and was flexible day-of to keep our timeline moving smoothly. On top of that, his pricing is incredibly reasonable. Best DJ Ever
Bill from Rhythm Express DJ Service was amazing! From the start of our planning process to the extra 2 encore songs he played at our reception, he was nothing but perfect! Bill was professional and helpful anytime we had questions or concerns. We specifically told him, dancing was a huge priority at our wedding and he did a fantastic job of creating a flow with the music and getting people on the dance floor! Rhythm Express was our favorite vendor in the entire wedding planning process, absolutely lovely to work with. As a same-sex couple, it was super helpful to have a LGBTQ-friendly vendor who completely understood our vision. Bill went above and beyond, mapping out the entire event's itinerary and helping us with additional equipment to ensure the best sound setup for our ceremony and idiosyncratic venue (Kinney Bungalow in Narragansett, RI). We had made our own playlists for the wedding and Bill was extremely flexible adapting them to create the perfect mood for each step of the day. He graciously handled obscure family members and weirdo +1s as they bombarded him with song requests that did not match our taste. We can't recommend him highly enough! -

We LOVED working with Bill!
Bill was our favorite wedding vendor (by far!) to work with. Throughout our wedding planning and postponement he was patient, responsive and kind. He would answer emails the same day and this took SO much stress off of us. Our dance floor was beyond anything we could have imagined. He listened to exactly what we wanted and kept our guests dancing all night long. Throughout the night he gave us time checks and was completely ON IT. Guests were so happy with his song choices and are still talking about his music! -

Beyond my expectations!
We hired Rhythm Express for our wedding on July 17th and could not be happier. Bill was our favorite vendor - his attention to detail and fun attitude made this stressful day so much easier knowing he was on top of everything. Our dance floor was packed and the gold uplighting was gorgeous and tasteful while making the room the perfect party scene! Highly recommended and am referring them to EVERYONE!!! -

Thank you Bill!
We are so happy we chose Bill as our DJ for our wedding. Bill was always flexible to meet with us on zoom in preparation for the big day. Bill even set up a call a few days before to confirm the schedule of the day and make sure he had everyone’s names pronounced correctly.
Although we had a pretty extensive no play list, Bill was great about sticking to it, and when our guests wanted to hear some slower different type music, he made sure to come find us to make sure it was ok with us! We had so much fun. Bill also provided uplighting which gave the room a great look at night. Would definitely recommend Bill/ Rhythm Express to anyone looking for a DJ for their event. Amazing!!!
We were so happy we went with Bill to be our DJ. He exceeded all our expectations! Not only was his price extremely reasonable, but the quality of service he provided was outstanding. Leading up to the wedding, he was very professional and helped us stay organized with picking out songs for the first dance, etc. The day of the wedding he was so friendly and helped make everything go so smoothly! We had a few last minute changes and Bill was flexible and accommodating. Not one thing went wrong! We picked out a few songs for cocktail hour and dancing, and Bill did a great job creating playlists based on those songs we liked. We got so many compliments on the music! The best!
Bill was the best! He was so easy to work with and was able to help us figure out exactly what we wanted. On the day of our wedding he was on time and prepared to a T. Bill was amazing from the moment we met him. His outgoing, bubbly personality let me know this was definitely the DJ we needed for our wedding day! Wedding DJ 9/8/18
Bill is all around an amazing person to work with. He planned every moment of our reception perfectly down to the very minute when different events would happen. Meeting with him before our wedding really verified that we had choose someone who felt and treated us like family. On the day of our wedding he really made it a point to make sure we were taken care of and happy throughout the whole reception. He is warm, caring, genuine and a really fun person to have running your day! Our guests still continue to rave about him. I will never hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs a phenomenal DJ! -

Bill was the best!! He was truly one of the most important parts that helped us stay on schedule for our reception! During the planning process, he helped us formulate a schedule for the evening and gave us many helpful tips on what things we could do for the night. He was also very accommodating for our musical requests. We had certain Indian songs that we wanted to play throughout the evening and Bill had no issues getting the songs. It really put a special personalized touch for our guests and family! Bill's personality really fits well as a wedding DJ and MC. He is fun and entertaining! Many of our guests gave us compliments about Bill. As the reception started, Bill always kept us informed about the schedule and helped us make the night go very smooth. His equipment was great and the music was awesome! We would highly recommend Bill to DJ and MC for your wedding! -

Bill was an excellent DJ for our wedding! He went above and beyond - helping to coordinate our reception timeline and sharing that with our other vendors. He also coached the bridal party on what to expect when walking into the reception and made sure they were all in the right order. He created an exceptional environment and got people up and dancing! He kept the party going! He also communicated with us when receiving requests for songs that were a outside of what we had talked about. We very highly recommend him! -

I would highly recommended Rhythm Express for a wedding or for any party!! The DJ, Bill Bibeau, did a awesome job at our wedding July 6, 2018. He worked with my husband & I for months prior to the wedding, helping us select great music. He was extremely attentive and professional, answering his phone promptly for any last minute changes, always providing us with an updated intinerary. He kept the wedding going in a timely manner, provided great uplighting and sound system, everything was just perfect! Great guy and great to work with! He made my special day even more spectacular! The music, his voice, his professionalism, I just can’t brag about him enough! Can I give six stars? -

Bill was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ! He was easily accessible, helpful and had great suggestions while also keeping in mind our wants and needs. He executed our reception seamlessly and exceeded our already high expectations. He was detail oriented and organized and put me at ease throughout the planning process. Bill did a fabulous job at our wedding a few weeks ago! My husband and I first met Bill at a wedding a year prior to ours, and had such a great time dancing the night away we knew he'd be perfect for our wedding. Several weeks before the wedding we filled out a detailed questionnaire about how the evening would progress and what types of music he should/shouldn't play during dinner and dancing. He did a great job with everything, and brought a super fun energy to the night. We both highly recommend him for your wedding! -

Bill from Rhythm Express was our DJ for our recent wedding at Bittersweet Farm and we were so happy to work with him! He was extremely friendly to partner with, super responsive to any questions, and really wanted to understand our likes and dislikes to create the perfect soundtrack to our day. I liked that he took the time to understand the little things, including how the wedding party pronounces their names, so he got it right. My guests were dancing the whole night and we had a wonderful time!
I also got uplightling via Rhythm Express and was so happy with how it came out. We found the perfect balance between fun and enhancing, but not overwhelming with color. Such a perfect touch to the venue!
I would definitely recommend Bill and Rhythm Express for your event! -

Bill was one of our absolute favorite wedding vendors to work with (by far). Not only is he AMAZING at what he does (great energy and had song selections that kept our guests dancing all night long) but he's also incredibly organized and responsive. He made the planning process so simple (we had one phone call to walk through the itinerary and choose songs for different events throughout the night, and for any changes we wanted to make subsequent to that call, he confirmed them almost immediately). On the day of our wedding, we had so many people mention how much they loved the DJ and the music he played. He even showed us all how to do the Electric Slide! I highly recommend him! He's wonderful! -

Bill was awesome from the start! He helped us make a timeline of how the night would go which really helped coordinate with all of the other vendors. The night of the wedding he kept us on time and made sure we were doing everything we wanted to even though we had a bit of a time crunch due to photos. Everyone was out on the dance floor and he really listened to what style of music my husband and I like and incorporated perfectly. Couldn't have asked for a better DJ! -

We had Bill DJ our 12/13/14 wedding. I am still hearing from guests who say they had a fantastic time. We had quite a mix of people and Bill had no problem delivering different styles of music. He was brilliant while making suggestions (we asked him to do our ceremony music too) and I am so happy we chose him. He was able to do a lot of things via phone or email when we needed to. I think the overall quality of service we received on our wedding day was more than worth the price we paid, which was not much at all compared to a lot of other people we talked to before booking Bill. I would happily recommend him to anyone. -

We got so many compliments from our guests that Bill was the best DJ that they had ever seen at a wedding. My wife and I most certainly agree! Overall, if I could, I would give him 10 stars. He's the perfect DJ! I can't recommend Bill enough or give him high enough praise but I'll try. Here goes...
From the very start we knew that Bill was the right fit for us. We had called a few other DJ services but didn't feel as connected with them as we did with Bill.
As we started talking about the music to play it became clear that 1) he understood our tastes perfectly, and 2) his knowledge of music/artists from past and present is amazing. He made it so easy to pick the music because he could pick similar artists...almost like a human version of the internet music sight that rhymes with Fandora.
He worked with us on the reception events (first dance, dinner, toasts, etc.) and didn't bat an eye when we changed pretty much everything at least once. He is easy going and able to just go with the flow.
The day of the wedding he came early to the venue so that he could make sure he was set up and ready to go. He made sure to stay out of the way of everything else that was going on and just focused on his tasks.
During the cocktail hour and the reception, the music selection was absolutely perfect. He made sure to keep the music appropriate for what was going on and kept everybody interested.
Throughout the reception he was able to keep people on the dance floor using a perfect combination of fast and slow songs. We left a lot of the selections to him and I don't think I could've picked a more fitting soundtrack for our reception. Even my Mom and Dad danced a few times which is a small miracle.
He also worked well with the other vendors that we had (wait staff, photographers, etc.) which made our lives so much easier.
Selecting Bill as our DJ was the best decision we could've made and he made the biggest day of our lives absolutely perfect! -

Bill, of Rhythm Express Disc Jockey Service, provided us the best entertainment for our wedding. From the very start he was very accommodating. We met with him for about an hour a few months before the wedding to go over the kinds of music he would be playing. He had really great suggestion but for the most part, he also stuck with the play list we gave him. All our guests were pretty much on the dance floor all night.
We couldn't have picked a better DJ for our wedding. My husband and I highly recommend his DJ services! -

Rhythm Express was not only amazingly friendly but they helped my husband and I out through some decisions on the music and order of things at our wedding. We felt so comfortable with them we asked they just play the crowd and this was the best decision we made with the music. Not only did they have our grandparents and elderly family up dancing they had the nieces and nephews as well. I can not praise them enough on their attention to detail, professional dress, and uplighting that matched the gowns perfectly. -

Bill at Rhythm Express DJ was the absolute best!!!! Not only did he play all the songs we asked and also did not play the ones we did not want played, he also made everything very entertaining. I still have people saying how much fun he was. He was extremely understanding and attentive just what the Bride needs. On an extremely personal note there was a situation at the wedding that got out of hand, Bill was my rock during the process, he helped me get everything and everyone back on the right track and gave me the courage to reenter the wedding despite the negative situation. When it comes to the wedding the Bride and Groom spend money to make sure everything is right and then on the day of you just have to sit back and hope and trust that the people you hired will come through for you. That is exactly what Bill did for my wedding I cant thank him enough. If your looking for a trustworthy DJ who will make your Wedding fun and Memorable Rhythm Express DJ is the right choice and Bill is the best DJ around. -

Bill Bibeau was our DJ and he was just so awesome. He was down to earth, fun and funny (our meeting with him planning were just a blast) and really easy going. He helped us think through divorced family dynamics and introductions, as well as how to introduce our mixed gendered wedding party sides, etc. We had a couple of last minute changes/decisions and he was responding to emails as late as the Friday evening before our wedding (and made himself available Sat via cell phone). He was incredibly reasonably priced--only really making us pay for what he was doing and didn't try to oversell additional services (he let us know about them, but when we weren't interested, didn't push us--other people we met with were insistent on all sorts of extras that we didn't want or need). On the day of, after having not having our first kiss during the ceremony because of a miscommunication in the planning, he incorporated a first kiss announcement into his introduction with about 5 minutes of a heads up and did it so seamlessly you would never know it wasn't planned that way! The dance floor was also packed ALL night. The only bummer was that a bunch of people had requests and we ran out of time so people were bummed out about that--but he played everything we (the bride and groom) wanted and kept up with most requests. So when we explained to friends that he got to most requests, friends were way more understanding. But it's a great sign when everyone is so into the music that they want to request songs and keep the party going so it's more of a great reflection on him than a complaint. We just needed a couple more hours of a reception :) Thanks to Bill for being awesome and creating a great atmosphere where our friends and family had a great time!

We were very happy with Rhythm Express. Finding a DJ was very challenging as (1) we were located half the country away in Georgia, but also (2) we are a gay couple. Finding a DJ who understood our vision as well as some of the differences of a gay wedding - Bill from Rhythm Express completely met those expectations and helped us to have an awesome wedding. Our guests danced the entire night and things went off without a hitch. Bill was professional, courteous, extremely organized and took our ideas/crazy thoughts and turned them into an incredible playlist that not only represented our tastes but also kept our guests dancing the entire night. -

We booked Rhythm Express for our April '12 wedding, and I'll be honest, Bill was the only guy I wanted to work with. We had looked at bands, and people had given us names for other DJs, but we'd seen Bill at a friend's wedding, and knew we wanted him to DJ our wedding. He asked great questions, put together a fantastic playlist and kept everything moving on the day of the wedding. I don't think people realize the importance of having an on the ball, experienced DJ. Bill didn't just play music, he set the tone for the day and kept us on time. He checked in with us about special songs or spotlight dances, made sure we were happy, and even came over to make sure I was OK with a song a guest requested (I wasn't, and I was glad he asked). He danced, he had fun, and really made our day special. He's professional, friendly, funny, and knows what he's doing. A definite A+ in my book! -

Bill was the DJ at our wedding in October. After signing the contract in March we had our planning meeting in July. At the meeting we discussed the types of music we like and named some specific songs, but he asked us to provide him with more. We ended up having to send him a list of about 100 songs to play at the reception, basically doing his job for him. At the wedding, he half used the list we provided, and for the rest of the songs he played genres we specifically said we didn't like. I requested a certain last dance song, and he didn't play it even though I told him months in advance. At the reception my mom actually told him he was playing the wrong last dance song, and he snapped at her and said he was playing the song I picked next (even though he had already announced that it was the last song). When he played the song I wanted he only played half of it, probably because he downloaded it AFTER my mom spoke with him. I also requested he cut out the beginning of my Father Daughter dance song, and he said he would, and then didn't. It was a live version and we danced to about a minute of clapping on the track since he didn't cut it out. In hindsight I wish I had paid an extra $500 and gotten a really good DJ. -
