Ken is a super fun and personable human being! He made sure to sit with us and plan all the details for the ceremony. When it came to rehearsal, he ran it perfectly! Then came the day of the wedding, he made sure to get the marriage license and such without stressing anyone out! He then held the absolute perfect ceremony. He made it fun, heartfelt, emotional, and most importantly personal. He ensured the crowd could hear him while also giving us personal moments. I have never been to a wedding with an officiant who is so lively and vibrant, which is exactly what we wanted for our ceremony. Ken truly made it a memorable day.
You can tell her is a professional with what he does. He knew exactly what to do at every right moment. Even moving out of the way for the first kiss!!
I would 100% recommend Ken Lane to anyone looking for an officiant!

Fun, faith-filled ceremony
Reverend Ken was an incredible officiant! He was professional and responsive. We met for over an hour well before the wedding, so he could get to know us, and he was very focused on understanding our love story and how we got to where we were.
The wedding was hands down the best ceremony I've ever attended. He involved the audience, made it personal, light, and fun, but it reflected our Christian faith. He encouraged us to have a unity ceremony, but not your average one. He suggested a wine box, and it was perfect. Reverend Ken is passionate about his work, and it shows!

Ken makes a commitment to celebrate you and do it in style for you, how you want it. He won't let your ceremony be boring. Ken has a great voice and can truly enthrall the audience. He's flexible and offers different styles if you're looking for religious traditional or more contemporary services. We had looked at a few different officiants but Ken's website and promotional teaser really got us interested in hiring him for our day. We did not regret having him as he is very easy to work with and really personable.

My then fiancé, now husband, and I were looking for someone that could not only cater to our needs, but also keep our guests engaged during our ceremony to make it one to remember. I have been to weddings where the ceremony is a bit of a snooze only because the officiant is reading straight from a book with no personality. Ken's style is very involved and full of excitement. Ken's your man.
We needed an officiant fast. After hiring our original officiant shortly after our engagement, we eventually parted ways. Just a month and a half before our wedding, our planner was able to snag Ken Lane — and we're glad she did.
How would we describe Ken? Boisterous, to start, but then what can you expect when your officiant doubles as a professional voice actor?
Ken made things simple for us. He met us for dinner one night, asked all the important questions, and formulated his plan. He was respectful of our wishes, as well as our wishes to include other members of the family. Rehearsal with Ken was quick and painless. And the ceremony — sorry Ken, the CELEBRATION — was beautiful. He made it fun, he made it intimate, and he made it everything we could have hoped for...especially considering he had next to no time to do it.
Ken's great. He helped lay the foundation for what we believe will be a strong, lasting marriage.

When we were looking for an officiant, we were looking for someone who was as fun and outgoing as we are to bring everyone together on our special day. Ken came highly recommended on several sites and so we decided to meet with him. He's extremely personable and easy to talk to. We went to a wedding work shop that he holds for everyone who uses him as an officiant - and he gave some real life, good advice on how to strengthen our bond and to have a successful marriage. The day of the wedding he was flexible (since it was a covid wedding and there were lots of unknowns), and brought an incredible energy to our ceremony. We received so many complements about our officiant and we are very glad we chose him.

My husband and I needed someone to perform a handfasting, and I am so glad we chose Ken! Our wedding was on Oct. 31, 2020. Not only did Rev. Lane step up last minute to fill the spot of someone who had backed out, but he made our day memorable!
Several guests asked where we found him & asked for his contact info. The gods must have been on board, as well, because on the big day, my husband had a bowtie crisis, and Rev. Lane came to his rescue by lending him a tie that he had with him...and it matched my dress PERFECTLY!

When we first found Ken online, we were blown away by his professionalism and his personality. We enjoyed talking with Ken and he asked so many good and creative questions to get to know us. Ken crushed it at our rehearsal practice. The ceremony day, he was just phenomenal!!!! We got so many compliments from our guests, that he is the best out there. My maid of honors mom even said she wanted him as her daughters officiant. People told us we must have known him for a long time, but we told people no we didn’t, he is just that good. It really was like he got us and the ceremony felt so perfect, sentimental but with some laughter too. It was perfect!!!! Ken put so much thought into our ceremony. Ken was an amazing officiant. My husband and I are not religious and he did a great job of having a ceremony filled with substance, without the religious aspect. We met with Ken about 2 months before our wedding to go over important details, options for the ceremony, and more. He also offers a marriage workshop, but we weren’t able to attend before the wedding due to my now husband being deployed. We spoke with Ken on the phone about a week before the wedding. His wife came to the rehearsal and knew everything we needed to know. At first, we were skeptical that Ken wasn’t there for the rehearsal, but his wife reassured us that they work together as a team and she knows how he does his ceremonies. Day of wedding came and Ken couldn’t have done better! I’m still hearing comments from family and friends days after the wedding. First he met with my husband, answered any questions he had. Then he came in to my room with the girls and made us laugh and got us excited with his humor and confidence! He calmed any nerves I may have had. For the ceremony, he got everyone involved, made everyone laugh, made my husband and I feel like the only people in the room. His words over us were so intimate and special. We are so thankful we had him as part of our special day!

Rev Ken MADE our wedding ceremony incredibly special, unforgettable, and full of all the things that mattered most to us.
When we first met with Ken, we told him that we were not overly religious and wanted our ceremony to be very romantic and about our story of love and how important family was to us. Ken delivered all that and more!
Our guests said that they couldn't remember a wedding where they actually remembered anything about the ceremony and weren't bored by the usual stuff... until ours! Ken was energetic, involved and made our parents a huge part of the ceremony, engaged our guests, and set the tone for our entire wedding- lots of love and lots of happiness!
Our guests said, they were so energized by his words about us and couldn't wait to get to cocktail hour to celebrate and get the reception started!

If I had to sum up Ken in one word, that word would be FANTASTIC. We met Ken at a Starbucks to go over what my wife and I wanted in our ceremony and Ken completely delivered that and more. It's truly difficult to capture the amount of special that he brought to our wedding experience in a review. Let me put it this way: if you're planning your wedding, and you pass on this guy, you're not off to a great start.

Everyone in attendance raved about our wedding, and how they believed Pastor Lane was and old friend of ours because of the way he carried on doing the wedding, and he made everyone there a part of the ceremony. Ken Lane is absolutely the most AMAZING Officiant!! He made our wedding a CELEBRATION, not just a run of the mill ceremony! Ken took what was going to be a great day and made it an ELITE day with how smooth and perfect the entire weddding celebration went from start to finish! My wife is from the Philippines and we included a veil, cord, and coin tradition and Ken made it seem like he had done it a thousand times. If you have anything unique such as this you want incorporated into your wedding day, Ken is the man to make it happen above and beyond the standard! He is extremely professional and at the same time, with our input, he kept it light, fun, and entertaining for us and the guests while at the same time preserving this as “our moment”!!! The overall experience was just simply PHENOMENAL!!! We would recommend Rev Ken Lane to anyone looking to make their special day that much more memorable!

Ken says it all, "It's not a ceremony but a celebration". He had my husband and I and all of our guests so engaged throughout the whole ceremony. He was so flexible in meeting our needs. When the ceremony finished almost every person I spoke to asked me where we found such a guy. He made us feel so comfortable, made the whole process so much fun, and truly made our Beach ceremony a special one. He fulfilled all of our requests above and beyond. Ken was great. He brought in the audience and made everyone feel like they were included in the ceremony. My wife and I did the wine box unity ceremony and he explained the whole process perfectly. Extremely impressed by his professionalism. If you are having a wedding in the Hampton roads area you have to hire Ken, you won't be disappointed.

Rev. Ken was an amazing addition to our wedding day. All of our guests loved his words of wisdom and his use of guest participation for call-out blessings. Prior to the wedding day, Rev. Ken was available via email and phone. My husband and I enjoyed the Marriage Toolkit Workshop. It was a great evening to get to know ourselves as a couple and our soon to be officiant. We still use the tips and discussion points today. He was flexible, detail-oriented, and professional. Rev. Ken understood that we wanted a non-denominational but spiritual ceremony and he executed our wishes perfectly. We were so fortunate to have Reverend Ken Lane as our officiant for the big day! Ken Lane was amazing! From the first time I spoke to him, I knew I wanted him to officiate our ceremony. He worked around our schedules for meetings. He called and emailed us back within hours. He made time to be at our rehearsal dinner and helped us run everything! He even gave us the idea for our wine box tradition!
When it came to the ceremony, he never told us how it should be; he asked us how we wanted it. And he gave us exactly what we wanted. His words made us laugh and cry at the same time. He not only made our families a part of the ceremony, but he brought in the entire crowd. Everyone felt special. We had so many compliments. Everyone wanted to know his name and info so they could book him for their ceremonies also. If you want your wedding ceremony to be the most amazing, memorable, heart felt day of your life, then you need to talk to Ken Lane!!

Did a great job of meeting us prior to the wedding months in advance to go over our thoughts, our wishes and what we envisioned. He built our ideas into a great wedding. Then the day of our wedding it started to pour, what he did then was incredible. His ceremony for my wife and I was beautiful and got everyone in the wedding engaged and on their feet. I have never been in a wedding where I felt so much love from the guests and that was because of the great ceremony that he did.

All the other positive reviews are absolutely true. We met Rev. Ken for one day for about 40 minutes and I had people come up to us at the wedding and ask how long he had known us because he sounded like he had known us for years. I would recommend him to anyone. He is absolutely amazing!

Our daughter and fiance wanted a simple faith based ceremony for their wedding. Both of them live in North Carolina but were getting married in her home town of Virginia Beach. They found and contracted Rev. Lane as their officiant. Not having met Ken prior to the rehearsal, I ( bride's mum), was pleasantly surprised. He provided a ceremony that was not only faith based, but included humor, humility and accountability as well.

Booking Ken Lane was one of the best decisions we made throughout this wedding process.. I talked with a few people before meeting with Ken and when we met with him, we knew he was absolutely perfect for us. Ken took the time to get to know us and incorporated that into our ceremony, people complimented everything about our wedding but the thing we heard the most was how incredible the service was! We asked Ken for a light and easy ceremony, not very religious and he delivered far and above.. everyone in the crowd laughed, cried and felt the love. Well, needless to say on our original wedding date we got over a foot of snow, our venue closed due to the weather and we HAD to get married 1 day early with 4 hours notice. Reverend Lane was amazing. We weren't sure what to expect and when we sat down with him a couple weeks before the wedding we knew he was going to make our day special. He gave us the idea for the wine box and other ideas we hadn't considered. Although he had another wedding scheduled that day, he accommodated us sliding our time due to Hurricane Mathew ruining our wedding venue plan. Although we didn't get married at the beautiful venue, we had the most amazing day and Reverend Lane's approach to the ceremony and vows was completely memorable. I am recommending him to a friend who is getting married in the spring and would recommend him to anybody else!

We had a wonderful experience with Ken Lane from the day we met him. He is a very upbeat, funny, but down to earth guy who makes you feel comfortable the day you meet him. He caters to your needs in making the ceremony exactly the way you want it, and is very responsive to emails/phone calls when you have questions. He traveled extra far to do our wedding (he was fairly more expensive than most officiants due to the travel costs), but we were so appreciative he traveled so far for our big day and he did such an amazing job. He involves your guests, makes them laugh, but also gives everyone some important things to think about. A perfect blend of making the ceremony a little fun, but also keeping it special. Definitely recommend him to everyone!

Ken was absolutely AMAZING!!! He is so personable and easy to talk to. His Marriage Tool Kit class is so wonderful!! We learned so much about marriage, expectations, and each other throughout that evening. Then the way the ceremony. Oh the ceremony!!! <3 Ken prepared a ceremony that we could have only dreamed of and delivered it PERFECTLY. He involved our guests, which they LOVED, and made us feel very at ease and comfortable at the alter. Thank you Ken for being so amazing! We wish continued blessings for your success. You absolutely deserve it!

I don't even know where to start with how absolutely amazing Rev. Ken Lane is! Wow! From our initial meeting we knew we had picked the right guy! He's this wonderful mix of down-to-earth and a huge ball of energy. He took the time to get to know us and made sure our ceremony would reflect our personalities and beliefs. During the last few weeks of wedding planning, things got a little hectic and I just wanted it to all be over and done with, but his enthusiasm is contagious! He revitalized this stressed bride and I was excited again!
We wanted a fun, lighthearted ceremony, and he certainly delivered. I love that he included all of our parents and our guests in the ceremony. He used just the right amount of the mushy love stuff with just the right amount of humor. It was perfect! We've received so many compliments from our guests about Rev. Ken Lane! I'd even say we had more compliments about him than we did the food...and the food was pretty amazing! Seriously though, I can't say enough good things about this guy! He was just absolutely wonderful and he set the perfect tone for the rest of our evening.

Ken made our early morning elopment special and a day we will never forget!! Not only did he agree to marry us at 730 am on a Saturday morning but for never having met before that day he felt like someone we'd known all along ! Ken was personable , entertaining and kind and made our ceremony perfect for just the two of us!

Ken Lane is awesome at what he does. He made our day amazing and also gave us a laugh. We wanted to add a unity candle in at the last minute and he made it work! He really made our day amazing and memorable!!!

My husband and I have grown up as best friends and neighbors and dated for 9 years before finally getting married, and with about 250 guests at our wedding, we obviously we cared A LOT about who married us. We are so glad to have found Rev. Ken Lane. He helped guide us through the process, we attended his helpful workshop, and he made our ceremony exciting and meaningful to us and our guests. I will definitely recommend him to friends planning their weddings in the future.

Rev. lane was absolutely perfect. Everyone kept mentioning about great he was and he amazing our ceremony was. If it weremt for him our ceremony wouldn't have been as winderful as I was. Best part is our liscebse was ready as soon as we got back from our honeymoon (he took care of everything).

I don't think our wedding could have been the same or handled to the same quality as what we received with Ken. He was professional, funny, on time, and was able to handle the new in-laws and my family with ease. I would highly recommend setting up an appointment to meet with him and see what you think for yourselves. You won't be disappointed.

Reverend Ken Lane was extremely flexible and easy to work with. I wanted my ceremony under thirty minutes- he manged to hit every point (had my family involved in the ceremony, our vows, exchanging of the rings) in twenty minutes! The ceremony was fun and had everyone smiling, instead of wishing the ceremony was over. He called me the day before our rehearsal to discuss the rehearsal to make sure he had everything he needed. After the rehearsal he took me to the side so we can discuss my vision of the wedding. He was very patient and understanding with everything that i wanted. If you want a fun wedding with your family members and love one involved i highly recommend Rev. Ken Lane. Hands down one of the best decisions i made for my wedding and wouldn't have changed s thing!

We looked through multiple officiants, and we couldn't seem to find the "right" one. We had a short meeting with Ken, and we knew he was our guy. He was very down to earth and open to many different ceremony types. He even gave us a idea for a unity ceremony that work around our venues rules(they didn't allow flames). We couldn't have asked for a better officiant, he has my highest recommendation.

Reverend Ken Lane is an incredible officiant and person in general. We had such a wonderful experience working with him prior to and day of the wedding. Ken made the ceremony fun, yet serious and intimate all at once. He had us laughing and crying tears of joy along with our guests. There was never a dull moment! The ceremony was everything we wanted and more! We had so many guests come up and tell us that it was the best ceremony they had been a part of because of Ken. We are so happy to have chosen him to marry us! My fiancé and I are blessed to have met Ken and have him a part of our big day. He is absolutely wonderful! We highly recommend him to all!

We could not have asked for a better ceremony. The number 1 comment we received from all attendees was the quality of the ceremony. We could not have been happier! The pre-marital counseling session he offers is also top notch! Don't miss it! Packed full of very useful, down-to-earth, and challenging advice we will carry throughout our marriage. Ken was so wonderful and easy to work with. The guests commented on how personable he was and how fun he made our wedding. His marriage toolkit workshop was awesome and we would highly recommend attending that. We met Ken at a bridal show and are SO glad we did! We met with him prior to the ceremony, as well as attended a couples counseling session prior to our wedding which was very informative and beneficial for us now and for the future. All of our guests were commenting how personal and unique our ceremony was, not just the cookie cutter ceremonies often seen. We highly recommend his services!

Rev. Ken Lane made our ceremony, we wanted to write our own vows. well i did, but the hubs had a hard time, so last minute we told the reverend we had to use his vows. which he accommodated flawlessly. he made everyone feel comfortable and definitely got our party started!

Ken was so much more than someone who just showed up on the wedding day to perform a ceremony and collect a check. He brings personality, life and LOVE to your wedding day through his one of a kind celebrations.
My husband and I have known Ken for a while now, and he is truly one of the kindest, most caring people I know! He genuinely wants everyone to succeed in their marriage, and does anything he can to help prep his couples, including offering an amazing marriage toolkit workshop that takes place before the big day.

Rev. Lane was phenomenal. His service was truly one of a kind and we got so many compliments and comments from our guests that our ceremony was the best they had ever been to. Rev. Lane was engaging, fun, spirited and very involved with us and our guests during the ceremony. His ceremony setup is very inclusive of family and it allows the audience to participate in the moment too. My fiancé and I had a Sherwood Forest themed wedding and Rev. Ken incorporated quotes from the Robin Hood tales to weav our theme into the nuptials. He came up with this on his own and we loved it. You simply cannot go wrong with Rev Ken. He will truly make your ceremony sparkle.

Rev. Ken is absolutely fantastic!!! He simply doesn't believe in a cookie-cutter ceremony and takes the time to get to know you as a couple to make your day unique and special. We planned our entire wedding long distance and worried that our ceremony wouldn't be as special since the officiant wouldn't know us. Ken made a point to speak with us several times before the wedding and asked lots of questions about us, our story, our families, etc. We even had the chance to meet in person when we made a quick trip to do some site scouting before the big day and Ken was gracious enough to make room in his schedule to sit and talk with us. He was so caring and always responsive to calls and emails - keeping this detail-oriented bride very happy and comfortable. The ceremony itself was everything we'd wanted and even a few happy surprises that just made it all the more perfect. We highly recommend working with Ken!

"The best ceremony I've ever been too" that is the response I recieved from every person that I spoke with about our wedding. Ken did an amazing job, very energetic, and completely accommodated every wish that we had! I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Ken officiated our wedding last weekend and I have been getting compliments since that it was the best ceremony our guests have ever been to. He's completely personable, warm, inviting, and has a great sense of humor. He made our ceremony truly special and I would absolutely recommend him to everyone in the Hampton Roads area!

My husband and I were so glad to have Ken officiate our wedding; he was the PERFECT fit! He met with us when we first got engaged and immediately we both knew that he was the guy for the job. He listened to what we wanted and threw in suggestions that were a great fit to what we were looking for. Everyone raved about him after the wedding and how they loved the flow of the ceremony.
