Perfect choice for our ceremony
Adelaida was the perfect fit for our wedding ceremony on January 11, 2020. My husband was the first to speak with Adelaida and called me right away to make sure I spoke with her and set up a time to meet. Our initial meeting in person went smoothly; she made us very comfortable in her ability to perform our ceremony. She explained in full detail how she performs the ceremony. She is open to any request you may have and also suggested a lot of different and thoughtful aspects we can add to our ceremony. Our family has different religions and beliefs therefore we needed to adjust the wording for our vows, Adelaida made the changes without hesitation. Day of our wedding, Adelaida was very punctual, spoke very clearly and projected very well and performed our ceremony both in English and Spanish. This was very important to us as some of our family members only spoke spanish. Our guests complimented us so much on Adelaida. We made the perfect choice with her. -

November 10,2019 wedding
Reverend Adié was very professional, compassionate, and made our wedding day go smoothly, exactly as I anticipated. We had a bi-lingual service that she handled like a champ. Our family in Argentina watched On skype as we were married here in New Jersey.
She first met with us at her home to make sure we were all in the same wave length. We emailed a few times back and forth and she was completely prepared the day of our ceremony.
I highly recommend Reverend Adie. -

Lovely woman and lovely ceremony
This review is long overdue. I got married last October at the Woodcliff Manor in NJ, and I highly recommend using Adie. Our ceremony was just so perfect. We wanted our ceremony to be more elemental and spiritual, and we wound up doing a handfasting ceremony. Adie curated the perfect ceremony for us that really captured our vibe and spirituality. We especially love the poignant Celtic blessing that was read. I have gone back and read our ceremony many times, and have teared up each time. Guests told me that it was the most beautiful ceremony they have ever seen. Everything was just perfect, thank you so much! -

My wedding was on January 21, 2018 and I can say she is the best I have no regrets of hiring her as my officiant she did an awesome job loved the way she order her words my ceremony and was able to provided it in english and spanish so my whole family and friends knew what she was saying... Reverend Avila is a gem who truly loves what she does. Words cannot begin to describe how happy I was with the ceremony that Reverend Avila put together for me and my husband. Adie made sure to put a personal touch on everything she did for us. She took the time to help me find non-traditional vows that were a perfect fit to me and my husband's personalities. She helped us incorporate our loved ones who had passed on into our ceremony without putting a damper on our happy mood. Adie even helped my husband keep it together when he started to flub our vows and called me his "husband" she knew exactly what to do to get him back on track because he was about to have a giggle attack!
All in all I would have to say that Reverend Avila made my ceremony everything I wanted it to be and MORE! I highly recommend Adie and will be sure to call her when we are ready to renew our vows. You will not be disappointed.

My wedding was October 14, 2016 and I had the pleasure of having Adelaida perform my ceremony. From day one she was amazing in finding about about my husband and myself to know the type of ceremony we would like and knowing about our relationship so she could write the most perfect customized vows for us. Adelaida was amazing! She personalized our wedding ceremony and made it so beautiful & touching. Our family/friends were truly touched by the beautiful ceremony that she had given us. She put together a beautiful ceremony that was so touching for us, and meant so much! Adelaida was so flexible, easy to work with, and most of all, she made it a smooth, easy and great experience. During our rehearsal, I was so nervous because I didn't know what to expect, and I wasn't able to speak because I was so emotional, and she was so comforting and reassured me that she was there to help me, and that I would be okay. During the ceremony, everything was amazing, and I truly thank her for making our wedding ceremony so amazing! I would definitely recommend her!! -

SHE WAS AMAZING. Did my wedding last year the vows she wrote were incredibly lovely. Not only did she do our vows but also had a sand ceremony met with her once and saw the importance of including my daughter in the ceremony. I'm referring her to friends!!! -

Reverend Adelaida Avila provided us with an elegant yet simple ceremony (exactly what we wanted). We were given her contact information from a family friend that had previously used her services. Walking into our first meeting with her we were unsure of how we wanted the ceremony to be conducted. Adelaida asked us all the right questions and led us through various options (sand ceremony, candle lighting, etc). She even provided us with different wording options for each ceremony type. Ultimately we decided to go with a Spanish ceremony and included the sand display. We could not be happier! Highly recommended! -

Reverend Adie was highly recommended by a friend who attended a wedding in wish she was the officiant. Reverend Avila met with us and came up with a customized bilingual ceremony for us. She also suggested the sand ceremony which gave a special meaning and touch. She was very sensitive when we asked her to acknowledge some family member that died within weeks and months of our wedding, my father and both of my husband grandparents and the Best Man. Reverend Avila provided memories that will last our lifetime. -

She was the first officiant we met with and didn't have to go any further. It was an easy decision that we had no hesitations about... My name is Jenn and she married me and my husband Nick on July 10, 2015 at the GrayCliff in Moonachie.. She is very well spoken and speaks with a nice tone and at a reasonable pace NOT RUSHING THROUGH WORDS. I enjoyed her choice of ceremony very much..... She offered GREAT advice for options and special touches to make our ceremony unique. She is very thorough and left no stone unturned when it comes to your special day..... She is beyond reasonable than all the other process we inquired and it was worth every penny.. Ade got to our venue on time and came to speak o me in the bridal suite prior to going down to the ceremony...... I got married exactly one month ago & I must say my wedding was practically perfect (thank GOD)! I got married at The Empire Club in Little Ferry and Adie was my officiant. She is seriously amazing! She was so sweet and so professional. She wrote such a beautiful sermon, which was personal and heartfelt. Finding someone trustworthy is difficult, especially when it comes to your wedding. Trust me when I say Adie is the best. She was always so prompt to answer any questions or concerns, and was an all around super reliable person. I seriously love her and recommend her to anyone getting married, especially anyone on a budget. Her price is like impossible to beat for the service. I love her! We can't thank Reverend Adelaida Avila enough for officiating our wedding! The ceremony and exchnaging of vows is the most importnat part of a wedding - it is the entire reason why the event is happening - and initially we couldnt find an officiant that we felt loved their job because of the beauty of marriage. Almost every one we came across treated it as any other business except for Reverend Adelaida Avila. She absoluetly loves what she does and it shows. She was patient with us and really crafted a ceremony that we loved! We truly appreciate all of the effort and thoughtfulness that was put into our ceremony. -

Finding reverend adelaida avila was such a blessing with short notice she responded quickly to my husband and I as we decided to get married in a months notice. She was very professional and has that special touch that made our ceremony so beautiful and memorable. I recommended her to my cousin for her wedding and her service was phenomenal as well. Overall we loved her service from beginning to end. As a bride, with so many things going on and having things to be completed from my wedding checklist, I was very happy we found her and didn't have one worry at all. She was so sweet. She came to us for the first meeting. She wrote up a ceremony that felt more like us and took our suggestions. Her pricing is very reasonable. She was very professional. We signed a contract and paid a deposit. We paid the balance the day of the wedding and handed her the license. It was a very nice bilingual ceremony and we could not have been happier with her. She was dressed very nice and formal. We had a English/Spanish ceremony. It lasted about 12 minutes, which is what we wanted. We are very happy with Adie and would recommend her to any couple. After our honeymoon, we received a letter in the mail from her and a copy of the license she filed with the court. -

We had a very small but beautiful wedding at The Water Club in NYC.. From the beginning, she was professional and extremely helpful with the layout of our ceremony. She suggested touches my now husband and I didn't even think of like the lighting of the Unity candle. She took the time out to get to know us and because of that, wrote a wonderful ceremony that my husband and I will always cherish. She answers every email and was prompt and ready the day of our wedding. We would definitely recommended her to anyone getting married. Our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful our ceremony was.

Shes also very pantual and patient. I, on the other hand was running late. Rev. Avila was patient and proceeded with the ceremony as planned. It is a day i wont remember. She is very loving, patient and has a great sense of humor. Last but not least the price of her services was perfect as well. My husband and I were on a really tight budget so we definitely appreciate it. Her services are great for such a great price. I chose a sand ceremony. It was so special. I definitely recommend her. -

Reverend Avila was wonderful. She was very responsive and helped us to make personalize our ceremony. She included an acknowledgement to our children which was very important to us. She even helped us add a hand fasting ritual to our ceremony which also made it extra special. She was very flexible and accommodated our change in ceremony venue on the day of the wedding due to inclement weather. She is extremely professional and I would recommend her to all. Reverend Avila really took the time to learn and understand who we are as a couple. We gave her a little bit of our background and she was able to relate to us and understand how happy we are together and what we enjoyed. When she wrote our ceremony, the first word out of my mouth was "perfect". From listening to us for a few short weeks (I planned a wedding in 4 weeks :) ), she hit the nail on the head with us. Reverend Avila was great. She did an excellent job on the ceremony which she performed in English and Spanish. Having a bilingual ceremony was important to us and she performed it wonderfully. When we were searching for a reverend for our wedding we need someone to really display the love that we share for one another. We thought about writing our own vows however, after reading her proposal for our ceremony we were completely stunned with her choice of words as it nailed our thoughts perfectly. She also offered other activities such as a sand ceremony and rose ceremony among other things. Those two in particular work great for us. She was very organized and timely. We could not have asked for a better ceremony. -

First off we want to start by saying Adelaida is amazing, not only as an officiant but as a person. We found Adelaida on Event Wire while looking for a non-religous officiant for our 8.23.14 wedding. Within a few hours of submitting our needs request online, Adelaida responded with a warm and thoughtful email that instantly put us at ease.
After reviewing the comments that Adelaida included in her email, we contacted her back and corresponded several times via email about what we were exactly looking for. During each correspondence, you could tell that we were top of mind for Adelaida and there were no "cut and paste" responses. This level of attention is exactly what we were looking for.
Once we got most of the details done via email, we spoke to Adelaida on the phone to review everything. Just as we had suspected, Adelaida was just as warm and thoughtful on the phone as she was via email. We wanted our ceremony to be short and sweet, which Adelaida was happy to accommodate. The best part about the whole process was that Adelaida took control of what was going to be said when we told her that we weren't going to write our own vows.
The day of the wedding Adelaida arrived right on time and was a doll. She was very well organized and was ready to complete all of the paperwork prior to the wedding, which was great because it allowed us to enjoy more time for pictures and cocktail hour. The ceremony itself was beautiful and we received a large number of compliments on how thoughtful and sweet it was (which was all Adelaida's writing).
To cap everything off, Adelaida's price point was incredibly reasonable and we really felt as though she delivered well beyond what we initially thought. If you're looking for a sweet, caring and attentive officiant to help make your day special, Adelaida is the right person for the job! -
