    Extremely Helpful and Thoughtful

    We were so grateful for Reverend Sam. He had an extremely helpful guide that walked us through the ceremony process. We wanted to include a hand-fasting aspect to the ceremony and he was able to provide a script for us to include that. Reverend Sam took the time to drive out to the cabin we were staying at two nights before the wedding to ensure my husband and I, as well as the wedding party, were fully prepared for the ceremony. He also took the time to explain the name-change process to me and sent instructions on what to do. We highly recommend Reverend Sam!

    Exceeded Expectations

    Sam was an incredible officiant for us. I was a little nervous about finding an officiant online but Sam met us more than halfway by letting us have a Zoom with him before hiring him. He was wonderful and mentioned small details about the ceremony that we hadn’t even thought of. He let us plan our ceremony and gave us tons of examples of ceremonies to choose from so we could piece it together how we wanted it. Our guests loved our ceremony and said that he was an excellent reverend. 100/10 definitely recommend!!

    Truly Wonderful

    We could not be happier with Rev. Sam and his services! We found him through Wedding Wire and immediately knew after reading about the Marrying Man that we found our guy and wasted no time. Rev Sam is incredible punctual with providing important information on what is needed before, during and after the wedding and making himself available to any questions. His experience and expertise with officiating weddings was very clear as he led our rehearsal with a focus on all details and procedures with not only focusing on what we will do but why we do it. We can not recommend Rev. Sam enough as he not only guided us through our ceremony but really enhanced it. Any couple who hires Rev Sam will have an incredible ceremony and wedding

    We absolutely loved having Rev. Sam officiate our wedding! He is so responsive and lets you create your perfect ceremony! He was so sweet and helpful before the ceremony giving us tips to help everything run smoothly. I recommend him to all brides!!

    Rev. Sam was wonderful to work with!

    We loved having Rev. Sam officiate our wedding! He was super easy to work with and the best part was that he allowed us to create our own ceremony with pieces we liked from a wide range of ceremonies.     Rev. Sam is the BEST!!

    Rev. Sam was awesome!! He helped us plan the perfect ceremony by giving us a ton of templates we could mix, match and make our own. He is extremely personable and professional. He walked my husband and I through the ceremony step by step and after the ceremony, he took it from there! We had our marriage license by the time we got back from our honeymoon. Thank you Rev. Sam!!!

    Helped create our perfect ceremony!

    Rev. Sam is wonderful! He's incredibly thorough from the very beginning to make sure you get the ceremony that you want. He provides tons of options to personalize your dream ceremony. At the rehearsal, he walks through everything in detail and if you forget during the ceremony, he's there to give subtle directions. Rev. Sam is also incredibly personable and just fun to be around. We're so thankful he was there to make our ceremony perfect!

    Recommend without reservation!

    Reverend Sam is great!

    Sam was very flexible with our nontraditional ceremony, on short notice. We got in touch with him just over a month before our wedding; on top of that, we wrote our own highly untraditional ceremony, and gave him the script the week of the wedding! He quickly provided helpful feedback, and helped us to feel at ease during a busy final week of planning.

    He also did a great job with the ceremony itself. He read our ceremony naturally, clearly having practiced. He also spoke clearly and loudly so that everyone could hear.

    Sam was professional throughout. In addition to the comments above, he got on the phone with us right away to explain how things work, and helped us to determine what type of package we needed (elopement vs. wedding). He provided a few files with ceremony tips, as well as six different example ceremonies for us to consider. The whole time I felt he truly wanted the best thing for us.

    We were so pleased with Reverend Sam's services, and recommend him without reservation!

    Professional and helpful!!

    Sam the marrying is amazing!! We had a destination wedding so we didn’t get to meet him until we walked down the aisle, and the ceremony was exactly what we wanted. He is very professional and HELPFUL! I had no idea how to put a ceremony together and he helped 100% while I still got to customize it and make it our own. Sam is also great at telling you how to get your marriage license and then takes care of it for you after the wedding. Which helped us tremendously! Anyone would be lucky to have Sam marry you!

    RevSam - kind and professional

    RevSam was a lovely addition to our wedding experience. He was kind and professional. So experienced, and so accommodating.

    He's got vast experience and has seen everything under the sun - nothing surprises him. And yet he treated us like our wedding mattered. He remembered every detail, and went above and beyond our expectations.

    Sam has multiple service components to customize into a unique service. He also graciously incorporated our own elements.

    Wonderful experience with Rev. Sam

    Rev. Sam officiated my wedding in Athens, GA on January 5. It was such a beautiful ceremony. Rev. Sam was very helpful and easy to work with. We were able to do premarital counseling through him, and customize our ceremony to be meaningful to us and our families. I highly recommend Rev. Sam!

    What a fantastic man

    Truly a blessing Rev. Sam was for us - he is incredibly professional, truly personable, and overall a great human. We loved how kind he was to us through our journey - from helping to find the most perfect wedding coordinator (as he worked with her in the past) for the day of to helping us create a ceremony that was unique to us - giving ideas and guideance based off of his past experiences.     Sam was one of our favorite people to work with throughout our wedding planning process. He is prompt, compassionate, flexible, and exceedingly knowledgeable. He gave us extremely detailed instructions during rehearsal (how I should pass off my bouquet, how my husband should hold my hands, what to do in case the rings won't go on, etc.) We didn't have to remember a thing in our nervous state, because Rev. Sam gave us subtle cues throughout the ceremony. This man has performed close to 1,000 weddings, and there is nothing that he can't prepare you for. I guarantee your ceremony will be flawless if you chose Reverend Sam, the Marrying Man.

    Rev. Sam was amazing to work with!!! He was very experienced, walked you through the process very thoroughly and gave you a lot of options. With my busy schedule, we were not able to meet until the day of the wedding and it was like we had known each other the whole time. Very professional, very articulate with the ceremony and so friendly. We enjoyed getting to choose how our ceremony went and we felt confident in Sam to deliver it that way.     Choosing Rev. Sam was a one of the best decisions we made in our wedding planning process. He was flexible in making time to meet and quick to respond to emails, answering every question we could think of and asked us questions we hadn't yet thought of to make sure that our ceremony was absolutely perfect and exactly what we wanted. He was patient with us at our rehersal dinner and with just a few run throughs our whole party was confident and the ceremony went flawlessly day-of. I could not recommend him enough.

    Rev. Sam is simply the best! He was always professional and accommodating throughput the entire process. He has such a sweet and caring demeanor that makes you feel incredibly special. He helped with things that we didn't even think of and took care of so much for us. Every person in our wedding party fell in love with him. Even many of our guests complemented him and the way he conducted the ceremony. He was so personable to everyone he came in contact with and made everyone feel comfortable. We highly recommend him to anyone no matter your religious preference or style of wedding. He is TOP NOTCH!!!

    Rev Sam was absolutely masterful in officiating our ceremony. He provided support and suggestions as needed and in a prompt and courteous manner. We could not have asked for a better officiant.     Before I found Rev Sam I was going to go to the courthouse to get married bc I did not know I can get an Officiant to conduct a ceremony for me. Then Rev Sam came to the rescue. He laid everything out for me seamlessly and took control which put me at ease. Rev Sam is very Honest, Professional, and most of all Affordable. I am very very pleased by what we were able to put together in such a short amount of time. He made my day very very very special and I will never forget it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM for his services.

    Reverend Sam was absolutely wonderful. He gave us several options for ceremony wording (we ended up pulling pieces from a few different ceremonies, plus added our own personal spin) which was awesome! There is nothing negative to say at all... He was a great officiant!

    Rev. Sam helped us design just the service we wanted. We were able to include my husband's children in the service and have a wedding at home with just the four of us that was very special. My stepdaughter dropped my husband's ring during the ceremony and Rev. Sam handled it perfectly, bringing some laughter into the service which allowed to me to finish my vows.

    We wrote our ceremony to be very meaningful for us. We had been married as very young teens which lasted a very short time due to our age. We found each other again over 35 years later so this marriage is special for so many reasons for us. Rev Sam performed the ceremony and somehow made our ceremony even more special for us. We choose the perfect minister and our special day was made even more special with Rev Sam performing our ceremony. He is wonderful ! Anyone whose choses to use Rev Sam will be making a perfect decision for your wedding ceremony !!

    Wow. Where do we begin? Sam was more than we could have asked for in an officiant. He was professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, humble, punctual, and funny. From the outset of our e-meeting with Sam, we felt a comfortable connection and knew he would be a great addition to our big day.

    In our first communications, Sam clearly outlined everything we would need to do in order to be prepared for the wedding which made it so much easier to plan. For instance, he got us familiarized with the process for working through the probate court to obtain our license; he also taught us how to go about wedding counseling (even going as far to offer complimentary services for this!), among others.

    On the rehearsal day, Sam was great about connecting with us face-to-face AND made a point to meet our family and friends-- this was particularly special for us. On the wedding day, Sam officiated flawlessly and we couldn't have imagined a more perfect ceremony. We greatly appreciate Sam's services and would recommend him without reservation!

    Rev. Sam is fantastic. He is not only very knowledgeable about how to coordinate a wedding, but he is also so genuine and kind. He helped us choose the perfect vows and our ceremony could not have turned out better. He was so patient, helped us feel at ease, and he was so helpful with the legal aspect of getting married as well (how to obtain a marriage license, when you will get your certificate, etc).     Sam was an absolute great wedding officiant who is a consummate professional and treated my now wife and I great. We would definitely recommend him for other couple in the great state of Georgia. Sam spent time with us to go over everything and even gave us an analogy pep talk and tools when we were at the alter in the event we got stuck or overcome with nervousness.

    Reverend Sam Mixon was not only amazingly flexible when it came to our unique elopement at Watson Mill Bridge, but also very kind, understanding and filled with some very valuable pearls of wisdom regarding love, life and marriage.     Rev. Sam was very organized and provided useful information to plan our ceremony. He has guides for creating a ceremony, before that we didn't even know where to start! He led our rehearsal and was also very flexible and accommodating when we needed to make changes. We loved our ceremony!

    Rev. Sam did an amazing job at both our rehearsal and wedding ceremony--extremely organized, professional, and very helpful! He pointed out many little things that could potentially cause embarrassment or awkwardness that you would never think of, so we didn't have a single problem! Even though it rained for our outdoor wedding, he was flexible and was able to make it work underneath a tiny tent. Anyway, we very highly recommend Sam for anyone looking to get married. He is pleasant and easy to work with. He listens well and makes good suggestions to your ideas, and is very punctual and professional throughout the process. Thanks Sam!!!

    Reverend Sam was simply amazing! He officiated my wedding on October 9th, 2015 and he made my husband and I feel so comfortable and at ease with everything. I was nervous about everything during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding, but he cracked a few jokes and offered many kind words that gave me the reassurance I needed.     Rev. Sam is wonderful! We couldn't have been happier with his services as an officiant. Rev. Sam is very well-spoken, and performed flawlessly during our wedding ceremony at the State Botanical Gardens. It's obvious that he knows exactly what he's doing - he helped keep everyone on track during the rehearsal, and made small little comments to the groom and I during the wedding to help us along. Also, the help and materials he provided us with prior to getting married were invaluable! I particularly appreciated the "wedding ceremony templates." ;-) I would not hesitate to recommend Rev. Sam to anyone looking for a warm, engaging, and professional officiant!

    I can't imagine a kinder or more professional officiant than Reverend Sam. He gave us the resources and guidance to craft our perfect ceremony, as well as a premarital counseling workbook that we were able to submit with our marriage license paperwork for a discounted fee. On our wedding day, he had a calming influence over the proceedings (and even brought a handkerchief for my husband's pocket, just in case.) Thanks again, Reverend Sam!

    We adore Rev. Sam! Neither me nor my husband had a family minister we yearned to use at our wedding, but we still felt it was important to have a true professional at the helm. It was also important to us to have someone who is not overly conservative, as we did not want an overwhelmingly religious ceremony. Rev. Sam worked with us to create a perfect blend for all of our needs and desires. On the day of, he was a magnificent calming presence. Immediately following the ceremony, guests were commenting on how beautiful of a job he did, and we still receive those compliments months later. I cannot recommend Rev. Sam highly enough!

    Rev Sam was incredibly responsive, helpful, flexible, kind, and easy to work with. When planning a wedding there are few things better than a great vendor and Rev Sam is just that! He gave us several services to choose from but gave us full reign to edit these or even write our own service. He gave us suggestions when asked which was so helpful. We were able to do the counseling he sent us on our own time from the other side of the country which gave us a discount on our marriage license but was also a fun and helpful experience during our engagement. Planning a wedding from an opposite coast had it's ups and downs and Rev Sam was one of the things that helped make it the perfect day! Thank you Rev Sam!

    I would like to thank Rev. Sam for his fantastic service at our wedding. He arrived an hour early, well prepared, and took into consideration the fact that my fiance and I did not want to see each other before our event (for good luck). His years of experience in the industry shone through throughout the day and he went above and beyond for our wedding. My fiance and I did not hire a coordinator (small wedding), and Rev. Sam took on this responsibility for us without being asked, and led our wedding in such a way that made my fiance and I feel very calm and looked after. He was a very nice, very calming officiant and we would recommend him to any couples. His fee was excellent and we feel we received a service above and beyond what we would have paid for elsewhere at the same price.

    'I cannot express with words how pleased my new husband and I are, as well as our families, with being lucky enough to have Reverend Sam officiate our service. He provided us with information and allowed us to put together a wedding ceremony tailored to US, rather than a cookie cutter ceremony. Personally, he was there for me every step of the way--calming and reassuring, always maintaining the highest degree of professionalism while still being warm, personable and relatable.
    The words we heard over and over from our families and friends regarding Rev Sam were, "This man knows his stuff." And he does. He will always remain dear to our hearts and we'll be using him again in a year for a vow renewal, or later on for perhaps a christening. He was amazing---and I highly recommend using him for ANY service.

    Wedding officiant

    Sam delivered our ceremony perfectly. He was very good during the whole process has multiple ceremony outlines that you can look at to put together what he says during the ceremony. He also offers a couples counseling which we found very beneficial. I would highly recommend him as your wedding officiant.

    Although Rev. Sam certainly knows the wedding business, I was a tad put out about the rehearsal. After being told that he had a 9-5 job and wouldn't be able to make it to my rehearsal, I carefully and methodically planned out the rehearsal and ceremony myself so that I could effectively run our rehearsal. The day of the rehearsal, however, I was surprised to see Rev. Sam at the chapel and wanting to run the show. I had done so much work and had thought through all of the details that were important to my husband and I, only to feel like he was taking over. Not only did he take over, but we ended up owing him more money because he showed up at the rehearsal. I think that the whole thing could have been handled more professionally. With that being said, had the communication been better about this, I probably would have ended up much happier with his services.
