Rev. Russ created a lovely ceremony—one that was profoundly moving, meaningful, and felt us all the way. From the moment he began speaking, everyone in the room was fully present. There was a perfect balance of warmth, sincerity, and gentle joy.
What stood out most was how personal the ceremony felt. Rev. Russ took the time to really know our story and shared it with such care and grace. It felt authentic, intentional, and sacred in the best way.

You should only select Rev Russ to officiate your wedding ceremony if you want the best wedding officiant.
My now husband and I have been where you are today. You are trying to select an officiant for your wedding ceremony. There are plenty to choose from on The Knot and Wedding Wire. Not to mention friends and family members who may want to do it. (Don’t go there!)
Selecting a wedding officiant was one of the last vendors we selected. Somehow, we had overlooked that our officiant was one of the most important choices we were to make.
Thankfully Rev Russ was available and our dream wedding was guaranteed to become a reality.
Do yourself a favor and ask Rev Russ for an appointment to get together…you will be glad you did.

My husband and I believe that we were drawn together by love and our meeting and falling in love was no mere coincidence. We wanted our wedding ceremony to reflect our love for each other and to celebrate the magical journey that brought us together.
We wanted our special day to be uniquely ours and to set the stage for our future life together as husband and wife. Because of this, we wanted to find the perfect wedding officiant. We searched, we interviewed, and eventually we found Rev. Russ. Our patience paid off.
Like so many things in our relationship, we feel like we were ultimately drawn to Rev. Russ. The first thing we noticed was that he was truly interested in us! Rev Russ is the best officiant we spoke to during our planning process. He was worth every single dollar and more. My husband and I were so open to how our ceremony would look, especially because we are very non-traditional, so all we asked of Russ was for a heartwarming and intimate ceremony. He helped us through the process, spoke with us as many times as we needed, and made sure to take all our needs and questions into account when crafting our ceremony. And when I tell you Russ made the perfect ceremony for us, I really mean it. I’m not one to get emotional, but I cried (and bonus points because he had a tissue on hand). He presented our personal love story in a way that really spoke to the heart of our relationship and made our guests feel that love with us. I have attended several my friend’s weddings. After our engagement, I paid careful attention to the wedding ceremonies that we attended.
You see, I had a vision of my dream ceremony, and I was underwhelmed by what I was witnessing. The ceremonies were dull, boring, and meaningless. After attending these ceremonies, I was concerned. Could my dream wedding be brought to reality?
With that in mind, we began a thorough search for our officiant. Eventually we found Rev Russ and it did not take long for us to realize that our search was over. We found our officiant…Rev Russ Sorensen.
Boy, did Rev Russ deliver. Our ceremony was absolutely wonderful. It was my dream come true. Our ceremony was beautiful, meaningful, inspirational, and emotional. It was fun and at the same time sacred.
I can attest that we had several engaged couples in attendance and after the ceremony, they either found Rev Russ after the ceremony to meet him and get a card or called us later for his contact info.
We are so grateful to Rev Russ – Our ceremony was indeed a dream come true. We were the center of attention, our love story was shared, and our friends and family gained a deep understanding our love for each other. Well done Rev Russ!

After we selected our venue, we ask our planner about an officiant. She asked us about our dream ceremony and after we shared, she pulled out a list of 20 or so officiants. She took her pen and crossed out all the names except one…Rev Russ.
When we got home, we reached out to him and set an appointment to meet.
Our meeting was great. We hired him immediately. We are glad that we did.
The whole journey with Rev Russ was great. The ceremony was awesome. Everyone loved it. Thanks so much Rev Russ. Rev Russ is a fantastic officiant and a wonderful person.

We recently received our completed wedding video. As our family gathered for Thanksgiving, we decided to debut our wedding video!
Everyone who attended, loved our wedding ceremony that was officiated by wonderful Rev. Russ.
On our wedding day there was a buzz at the ceremony and the reception. It was obvious during the ceremony and later at our reception that something awesome had occurred.
Our dream wedding had come to life, due in large part to Rev. Russ.

We saw Rev Russ at my cousin’s wedding. We immediately approached him about performing our ceremony. We met with him for a consultation and booked our date.

From the moment we got in touch with Rev Russ we knew he was the one. What immediately stood out to us was his responsiveness. I swear Rev Russ must never sleep! He and his assistant, Donna, always answered our emails, texts, and phone calls. It gave us peace of mind knowing he was always there to answer our questions. Rev Russ was also very kind and thorough when providing us information. But what we appreciated most about Rev Russ was knowing we were not only working with a professional but a truly kind person. Rev Russ’ passion for making couples’ wedding days special. I thought I could not be more impressed with Rev Russ until the day of the ceremony when he presented our Love Story. His gift for storytelling left our guests laughing, crying, and smiling as they reminisced over our dating days. FYI – Rev Russ has a wonderful sense of humor and timing. Working with Rev Russ was such a wonderful experience. He is so caring and thoughtful. He
took time to get to know us and asked us so many thoughtful questions in order to write the
perfect ceremony for us. We really enjoyed talking with him beforehand and collaborating on the
ceremony. The ceremony was perfect. He is truly a pro! It was beautiful, meaningful and joyful,
and had the aspects of traditional ceremonies we wanted. Our guests were very impressed with

If you choose Rick as your officiant, be prepared to be blown away by how amazing your wedding is going to be! We never imagined that our wedding officiant could be as personable, genuine, professional, funny, and organized as Russ is! After we had our initial phone interview with Russ, we knew he was the perfect person to marry us! We really had no clue what we wanted to do for our ceremony. He helped guide us to make our ceremony personal and made us feel at ease about everything. We felt so comfortable with him as if we knew him for years. Rev Russ is incredibly organized. He had everything planned out ahead of time so on the day of the wedding everything was perfect. Our family and friends loved him! Rev Russ is more than an officiant. We were struggling to decide if we even wanted an officiant for our wedding. This is because the ceremonies that we were attending were often tedious and impersonal. However, after reading some of Rev Russ’ reviews we decided to meet with him. We wanted to know what all the rave reviews were about. After meeting Rev Russ, we couldn’t imagine anyone else marrying us. Rev Russ gets to know each of his couples deeply. He understands intuitively what drives a relationship and can pull out common themes and core values of the couples he is marrying. Through his unique process, Rev Russ provides an intimate, fun, humorous, beautiful, and unforgettable ceremony. Rev Russ perfectly captured our relationship through story and created a wedding ceremony for us that was customized, personalized and way beyond our expectations. We were planning on spending a great deal of money on our dream wedding. Then, when it came time to choose an officiant, our first thought was to save some money. It was at this point that my cousin Anna stepped in.
She asked me if I remembered her wedding. I said, “Of course I do, it was awesome. She proceeded to ask me what I had to eat, what color the tablecloths were etc. I had no recollection. I couldn’t even remember where it was held. She then asked, “What do you remember?” I responded instantly, “your ceremony!” “It was the best I ever witnessed,” I added. “The minister was wonderful—we laughed and cried.”
“What was his name,” I asked? “Rev Russ” she said as she looked up his contact info. She then told me, “He is not the least expensive.” I realized right then and there that the ceremony was what mattered to me most. I wanted to celebrate my love for Shawn and share it with my friends and family.
Guess who performed our wedding ceremony…Rev Russ! We will never forget our beautiful wedding and our friends and family won’t either!

Rev Russ exceeded our expectations in every way. During our conferences he offered priceless suggestions and wisdom, calmed our nerves, and showed such patience and knowledge about his craft. We knew we wanted Rev Russ from the very start…. but…we decided to keep looking. OMG Some of these officiants are like pushy sales people. Enough of that.

Rev Russ was the officiant for our wedding in October. I couldn’t have been happier with his services. He created a beautiful and personal wedding ceremony that everyone was impressed with. Rev Russ was very easy to talk and extremely helpful with the planning of our ceremony process. We wanted to be less traditional but include enough key elements so that all our family members would be pleased with the ceremony. My Mom is very conservative and catholic and I wanted to make sure she felt the ceremony was respectable even though it was held outside and not in a Catholic Church. Rev Russ listened carefully to all of our interests and concerns and created a ceremony that had almost everyone in tears. It was beautiful. I would highly recommend him! -
