We cannot say enough wonderful things about our wedding officiant, Mr. Nick McDonald. From start to finish, he was absolutely amazing and played a huge role in making our wedding day in November 2025 run smoothly and perfectly.
Nick arrived early on the day of the ceremony and took the time to do a full rehearsal, making sure everyone felt confident and prepared. His energy was so positive, calm, and encouraging — exactly what you want on such an important day. He was incredibly polite, professional, and genuinely excited for us, which made the experience even more special.
Before the wedding, he also scheduled a pre-rehearsal Zoom call with us to walk us through the entire ceremony step by step. This helped ease our nerves so much and made us feel completely at peace going into our big day.
One thing that truly stood out was his voice during the ceremony — it was clear, confident, and very professional. It honestly felt like the beginning of a movie, the kind where a voice actor starts beautifully telling a story. It set the perfect tone and made the ceremony feel even more meaningful and memorable.
Nick truly went above and beyond, and we are so thankful for his dedication and care. If you’re looking for an officiant who is organized, kind, enthusiastic, and truly invested in making your day perfect, Mr. Nick McDonald is the one. We highly recommend him! -

Nick was amazing. I was an organized bride...but he was just as organized with his piece of things! I appreciated the communication flow, and how we were really able to edit our script to be exactly what we wanted. If we didn't like the way something was worded he gave us multiple alternatives...aka less brain power required which was so nice as a busy bride. He was professional, courteous, and kind to both of our families and let our day go as smooth as humanly possible. He also knows to SLIDE when the big kiss moment comes! Choose Nick. Well worth your money. -

We hired Rev. Nick for our post-wedding celebration/vow renewal in Sept 2022 (we got married in June 2020.) When we first emailed him, we were clear that we had a lot going on: we were already married and didn't want to put on a "show" wedding, more of a vow renewal; our families are different faiths, with my dad being a minister and having some strong opinions on officiants; we had a baby now who we wanted to incorporate; and we wanted it to both carry weight, and be lighthearted. He didn't miss a beat. He put us at ease right away, and helped us craft the perfect ceremony for where we are in our lives, and where we want to go. My dad still raves about him (very high praise, I promise you!) I'm so grateful we found Rev. Nick as he ended up playing a huge part in the shaping of our day. -

We are so happy we had Reverend Nick as our officiant for our wedding at the Biltmore Estate Conservatory. He was so easy to work with and helped us through the process. He answered all the questions we had so our ceremony was exactly the way we wanted it. He was also very nice and friendly which eased my nerves and made me feel comfortable during the wedding ceremony. Everyone enjoyed meeting him and we couldn’t have been happier having him! -

We booked Nick for our wedding in Hiddenite, NC this past month and we were so impressed. Nick was great at communicating and answering our many questions. Our ceremony was everything that we wanted it to be and Nick was very accommodating to any changes that we wanted. Helpful and Easy to Work With!
Nick was the best officiant we could have asked for! We are a Houston based couple who got married in Asheville, NC. Nick helped us with the planning over Zoom and was easily available via e-mail for additional changed that we wanted to make, He was flexible on our wedding day and wrote a beautiful sermon for our wedding. We would recommend Nick to anyone to officiate their wedding! -

Rev. Nick was so kind throughout the whole process. We booked him later in the planning process, and he was always so quick to respond to my questions in order to put together our perfect, personalized ceremony. We met Nick at the rehearsal for the first time and it felt like we had known him forever! Easy to talk to, very helpful, and super friendly. This was amazing to ease my nerves the day of the wedding, too.

We couldn’t have have dreamt of an officiant more perfect for our wedding than Reverend Nick. My husband and I have differing religious/spiritual beliefs, but share a deep love for nature, family, friends, and our pets. Reverend Nick so carefully and patiently worked with us to create a ceremony and vows that were meaningful to each of us and to our families. In mid-November 2020, we were blessed with a beautiful, sunny, warm(ish), yet windy day. Reverend Nick married us on a grassy hilltop in Banner Elk, NC surrounded by breathtaking mountain views — a last-minute change from our our originally planned indoor location — which he took in stride! And speaking of taking things in stride... our very energetic 80# Chesapeake Bay Retriever ‘puppy’ was part of the wedding party. Reverend Nick handled him and all his bounding & blunders like a pro. Reverend Nick is warm, patient, flexible, humorous, and reliable. We highly recommend him if you’re seeking the same! -

Rev Nick was awesome! He literally hiked up a mountain for us and gave us a beautiful ceremony. The communication before hand was also very good, and allowed us to tailor the experience to be just what we wanted. He was also very familiar with the location we got married (Max Patch) and gave us some great guidance/ suggestions. Thanks for a great job! -

highly recommend - great experience
Rev. Nick was very professional and worked closely with us on the script, reading and scripture for the ceremony. We wanted a Christian ceremony but not too sermon like. It We utilized Google doc to edit back and forth. This worked out great with our busy schedules. He also helped us incorporate a family blessing for our 18-25 y/o kids, which was a special touch Nick was very personable and professional. I was a little nervous not meeting in person before the ceremony, but he exceeded our expectations. It was a great experience and we highly recommend Nick. -
