The Most Intimate and Personal Ceremony

We were looking for an officiant who could create a ceremony that wasn't "cookie-cutter” for our intimate wedding, and Reverend Marc delivered exactly that. He took the time to get to know our story, and the result was so deeply personal. He brought a warmth and sincerity to the ceremony that made the whole room feel connected. A cut above the rest!

Reverend Marc did an absolutely incredible job at our wedding. He had us write love letters to one another and then used the contents of our letters to create a merged story of our relationship. Beautifully done - we highly recommend!

Personalized Ceremony !

Marc was an absolute delight to have as a Reverend. He researched us and collected love letters written to each other in order to write a personalized ceremony just for us. Marc was an ease to arrange and work with from the start, he felt very familiar and seems he can connect and relate to anyone. He created a warm and loving atmosphere, grounded in truth and reality, with all the hopes of wonder and love. The Perfect Officiant

Rev Marc did an amazing job as the officiant at our wedding. The ceremony perfectly captured our relationship. We didn't want to share our vows publicly, so he had us write a letter to each other to personalize our ceremony. All of our guests asked if Rev Marc knew us before wedding planning, since it felt so authentic. We highly recommend!

Thoughtful Personalized Ceremony

I would highly recommend Rev Marc. He officiated our small intimate wedding in Hunter, NY in June 2024. Prior to our big day, he took the time to get to know me/my husband and our wishes for the ceremony. He was very responsive and professional in the planning process. He put together a fully personalized ceremony that was beautiful and better than we could have imagined. A year later our families are still talking about how amazing of a job he did and how his officiating really added to the day. We are very thankful in his role in our wedding day and will cherish the vows he helped craft.

Marc was absolutely amazing. My husband and I loved working with Marc from the start. He was so professional yet very nice and friendly to work with. He jumped on a video call with us to hear about our details and vision for the big day. He captured so much detail in our ceremony and made it so personal to us and our families. You MUST book with Reverend Marc! Wow!! Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful and so personal to us! Reverend Marc perfectly captured our love in our ceremony without ever having met us in person before, solely using our initial phone conversation and love letters to create the most perfect and unique ceremony. Our guests could not stop raving about him and multiple guests asked for his info for their wedding and vow renewals! A Very Personalized Experience!

If you don't want to write your own vows but still want vows that are unique and all your own, you should work with Rev Marc. He has you write "love letters" and share them with him so that everything is personalized. It was a wonderful experience. He also got the wedding license filed very timely. All in all a 10 out of 10, we would work with Rev Marc all over again if we could!

Excellent officiant!

Marc officiated my wedding in August 2024. He did a great job conveying my husband and I’s story at the ceremony and it was beautifully said. He provided us with a packet of the speech for us to keep which I thought was an awesome touch. Lastly, he moved to the side for the big kiss to remove himself from being pictured. I thought that was very courteous and professional. I highly recommend!

Our wedding 9/14/24

Reverend Marc Sabin officiated our wedding at Red Maple Vineyard recently and he was amazing. He created a special ceremony by combining letters that my husband and I wrote to each other. He had the whole audience crying tears of happiness. It was everything that we wished for and more. We had countless guests come up to us afterwards telling us how good of a job he did. It was truly magical. He also jumped on two phone calls with us prior to the wedding to go over the ceremony quick to calm our nerves which was very sweet and professional of him.

A perfect and thoughtful ceremony

Reverend Marc is the perfect officiant for crafting a magical, and personal wedding ceremony. He was absolutely accommodating for all of our requests, and makes the preparation process simple but the result very special. He has a very gentle humor in his words as well, perfect for an event with our loved ones. Marc and his daughter, Sophie were so kind and accommodating to our guests and wedding party. Everything on his end was flawless, and we really liked his recommendation to perform “tying the knot” hand fasting ceremony. Marc made memories!

We hired Marc after a wonderful introduction call where he walked us through his process and answered my questions. From there, we sent Marc some stories and letters to help customize the ceremony. Skip forward to the most wonderful, heartfelt, and overall spot on ceremony that our guests continued to compliment throughout the night. Marc really listened to our preferences (non religious, traditional, story telling) and used verbiage that resonated with us as a couple. We also asked Marc to write our vows and no one believed Marc, someone who had never even met us, could have created such personal and relatable vows that truly captured our unique perspectives and intentions for our marriage. Hire Marc and trust in his process and professionalism. you wont be disappointed!

What a wonderful ceremony!

Rev Marc was wonderful! After speaking with him only once over the phone and a handful of emails, he was able to capture our relationship and love for each other better than those who know us. It was like he was there every step of the way! His ceremony had everyone, including us, laughing and crying. It was truly beautiful. As someone who always dreamed of being married in a church but was not able to due to timing, Rev Marc made sure to incorporate as much of the traditional catholic ceremony as possible. He made our day truly magical!

Rev Marc Sabin is Fantastic - Erin & Ben

My now Wife and I got married at The Rockleigh on July 23rd and Rev Marc Sabin was our officiant. Our wedding was non-denominational, which was no problem for Rev Marc. He was superb when marrying us. We each wrote our own version of our love story and sent them to Rev Marc about a month before the wedding. On the wedding day we were amazed by how many of the details he touched on and the story he was able to tell with the details we provided.

Hire Marc Sabin for your ceremony!

Working with Marc for our wedding was an extremely easy and seamless experience. We booked him about a year and a half out and he was very friendly and informative. Leading up to the wedding, he had us write letters to each other which he used to create our vows and a truly personal and unique ceremony. He was also very quick to respond to all questions via email at any time. On our wedding day, A storm hit right before the ceremony. Marc remained positive and reminded me that the ceremony was going to be beautiful and he knew It would all work out. The storm cleared 20 mins before our ceremony and when Marc got to the top of the hill, he texted us a picture of a rainbow and It was a wonderful way to start our marriage. We loved the way Marc walked through the ceremony, It was just a very uplifting and personal approach. It was about 25-30 mins which was perfect for us.

Exceeded expectations

Marc was an outstanding officiant. He has such a gentle, soothing, and pleasant delivery, that he put my wife, myself, and all of our guests at ease, even during hurricane-like winds. Rev Marc recently married my husband and I in Poughkeepsie NY—and we highly recommend him as an officiant! My other half and I are introverted and shy, and Rev Marc came up with a delightful and succinct ceremony which is exactly what we wanted. It was sweet, genuine, and had many moments of observational humor which my husband and I appreciated as it eased our anxiety and “stage fright”. Highly Recommend!

As a Wedding Coordinator I witness many ceremonies and I have to say Reverend Marc Sabin performed one of the best ceremonies I have witnessed! The couple I was working with hired him at the last minute, as their original plan did not work out, so Reverend Marc Sabin did not have much time to get to know the couple, however you would have never known it. He truly listened to what they had told him and created a beautiful ceremony, you would have thought he knew them for years! It was so heartfelt! Reverent Marc was awesome!

He didn't just get up there and do our ceremony, we both felt what he said came from his heart to ours, something we hoped for but didn't really expect. He was willing to work with us on a rain date even though it would have made his day very hectic if it happened. I recommend Reverent Marc very highly!

Wonderful!!! 100% Recommend booking with Rev. Marc!!

Prior to booking Rev Marc, I had of course read the many glowing reviews other couples had written and wow they were not wrong. I don’t know how he does it but Marc was able to perfectly capture the sentiment of mine and my husband’s relationship. He kept us and our guests laughing (and crying) the entire time. We were told after that our vows were the best our friends and family had ever heard. Our ceremony was so personal that our guests assumed Marc was family, and he certainly felt like it. Rev Marc was quick to respond to emails and was an overall pleasure to have as a special and important part of our wedding. I cannot recommend Rev Marc enough.

We sought out Reverend Marc after attending a friends wedding where he officiated; more than 7 years ago. His personalized ceremony for my friend stuck with me all that time and we knew that we wanted the same for our wedding ceremony. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is challenging, and although we never met Reverend Marc prior to our wedding, you wouldn’t be able to tell that with how he added so many personal touches to our ceremony. We have gotten so many compliments on how wonderful he was, how it was one of the best ceremonies people have ever been to and we are just so pleased that everyone enjoyed it as much as we did. It’s comforting to be able to put your faith in someone to give you exactly what you hope for on your big day. We were also able to incorporate some readings into our ceremony which was a nice touch. We highly recommend Reverend Marc.

Really captured our love story

Rev Marc was so cool and helpful. He really captured our love story for the audience. I was looking for a non religious ceremony yet traditional. He helped us navigate writing our own vows which was a huge plus!

Fantastic! Would 100% recommend!!

Reverend Marc was recommended to us by the director of the Chapel Restoration in Cold Spring. Planning a wedding in a pandemic was certainly not easy; however, rev. Marc was so accommodating and wonderful from the beginning. We explained our vision and he brought it to life. He personalized the ceremony by having my husband and I write a love letter to each other. This helped him get to know us on a deeper level. People at our ceremony thought we had known him for years! A dream come true!

Planning a wedding is stressful enough. When my husband and I decided we wanted to get married at our venue, we ended up booking someone who was a former priest, since our religion (Catholic) is very important to our families. When COVID hit, my husband and I went forward with the wedding and had a microwedding instead. The officiant we originally hired flaked out on us a week before, and we were left with no one to marry us. Our venue highly recommended Reverend Marc Sabin and we immediately contacted him. He was very responsive, flexible, and very calm, which is what I needed. I can't thank him enough for how beautiful the ceremony was. He had us write love letters to each other, but instead of sending them each other, we sent it to him. During those letters, he got to know us personally, and delivered the most beautiful ceremony and vows I have ever witnessed. All of our family was taken back beyond belief on how personable the ceremony was, something we would have never received in a church. Even our most religious family members could not stop talking on how amazing he did. I highly highly highly recommend him if you want a beautiful, personable ceremony. I felt like he really knew us and our story for years. He's such a good person!

Incredible, personalized officiant!

Marc was incredible. I have been to so many weddings, and lots of them feel impersonal and canned. Marc took the time to have my husband and me write love letters to each other, send them to him, and then he crafted a beautiful, poignant, funny service that our guests still remember and mention to this day, over three and a half years later. We highly recommend Marc if you want to have a personalized, special service that will be on another level!

Beautiful Ceremony

Rev Marc Sabin was absolutely amazing for our wedding! We are an interfaith couple ( Catholic and Jewish) and Marc tailored a ceremony perfectly to our relationship. We wanted a neutral ceremony and he shared our love story from the love notes we wrote to each other and incorporated the traditions to our beliefs and we couldn't be happier. It was so heartfelt the ceremony and my husband and I could not stop smiling (maybe a little tears from me too) throughout the whole ceremony. Wonderful ceremony that will forever be treasured.

Reverend Marc provided my husband and I with a beautiful wedding ceremony that we will always treasure. Our ceremony reflected our journey (both of us losing our previous spouses) in meeting one another, and how are love came to be. We were able to write our own vows and speak from our hearts. Reverend Marc provided us with guidance in planning our ceremony, but ultimately we made the choices in how we wanted our ceremony to reflect our love for one another. There was not a dry eye in the chapel, as Reverend Marc unfolded our journey. He also provided us with a book of our ceremony, complete with the reading, our vows, and the story Reverend Marc told of us coming together as husband and wife. Our ceremony was everything and more that I could have wished for.

Amazing for our wedding

Tyler and I left finding an officiant to marry us as one of the last things on our to-do list..as we got nearer to our wedding date, our wedding coordinator recommended Rev Marc (she even said that he performed her daughter's wedding ceremony). After reading some more reviews and facetiming with Rev Marc, we both got such a good feeling from him that we knew he was right for our ceremony. He had us write beautiful love letters and crafted our vows and ceremony using them, which made it so perfectly personal. Our guests at the wedding could not stop raving at what a wonderful job Rev Marc did, from the beautifully spoken words to the poignant remembrance that he included for my late father. Professional, polished and truly personal

My husband and I are practicing Christians and attends church most Sundays. That said, We chose Reverend Sabin over the vows in the book of common prayer because of his dedication to making each set of vows completely tailored to the bride and groom.

My husband and I shared information about our lives together with Marc that he used to create a truly personal service that was incredibly moving. My 19-year-old son who was present plans on using him some day himself!

Amazing Wedding Officiant!

Marc made our wedding ceremony truly magical! He met with us to get to know us, took many notes, and also was easily accessible throughout the wedding planning process. Marc had my husband and I write love letters to each other which he then used to craft beautiful, very touching vows. At the ceremony itself, Marc made our ceremony feel personal and as if my husband and I were the only two people there (when there were actually 100+). After the ceremony, Marc presented us with a book that had the entire ceremony written inside. Our October Fall 2018 Wedding at Boscobel Gardens, NY

Marilyn and I had our beautiful October 2018 fall wedding at Boscobel Gardens, NY. Prior to the wedding we had everything worked out as far as location, photographer, reception, etc... except for one very important thing, we didn’t have anyone to marry us yet! Luckily we found Reverend Marc Sabin!! We first met him a few months prior to our wedding and discussed what we wanted and told him our story on how we met, our lives, families and friends. We felt very comfortable with Reverend Marc after that day and knew he was the one. He created a very beautiful personal wedding vowels for us and the wedding ceremony couldn’t had been more perfect! We found Rev Marc on Wedding Wire after searching for a long time and the reason we chose him in the end, was that of the way he speaks. He has this way of speaking that really engages you and makes you want to listen to what he has to say and we thought that that was a key quality for what we needed for our ceremony on our big day.

Rev Marc made a beautiful and moving speech based on a number of things we provided him: love letters, stories of us we each wrote, and poetry that we wanted to be read at our ceremony and we absolutely loved the way he unfolded our story, and how he highlighted the most romantic, funny and the memorable events of our lives together.

From the first meeting we had with Rev Marc until our big day, he never had us worry about anything. He was always there, he was very responsive to emails and at times he reached out to us asking for more materials that he thought would make the speech even more beautiful. On the day of our wedding, just before the ceremony, he came to see us privately and hugged us and told us how much he looked forward to marrying us, and we knew that everything was going to be great from that point on.

I just want to say that Rev Marc is truly unique when performing his ceremony. My husband and I never actually met Marc before our wedding. In fact we only had a brief phone call and a few emails between us. When it came time for the ceremony I actually had no worries about what it would be like. I had a good feeling that Marc was going to perform a beautiful ceremony. And that he did! It was perfect, he made us feel like he’s known us for years and knew our relationship. The way he worded our words and turned them into stories and vows was something we get to cherish forever. We are so happy we found Marc and he was the one to perform our ceremony. I don't even know where to start. Reverend Marc Sabin is such a special person. We found him online and immediately knew we wanted to speak with him after looking at his website. Working with Rev Marc before the wedding was shockingly easy and he was a calming presence throughout the entire process. His helpful instructions were clear and straight forward. He even helped Tom, my husband, format his vows.

On the day of our wedding, Rev Marc was again a calming, strong presence. When he came into the bridal suite and hugged me, I knew I was ready for the ceremony. Rev Marc created the most beautiful ceremony for us. Our guests were so moved by his words, as we were of course as well. Everyone laughed and cried. Almost every single guest asked us about Rev Marc. He has a striking spiritual presence and was dressed impeccably. And as I said, his words were so moving, our guests were very engaged in the ceremony and told us how beautiful it was.

Rev Marc, we couldn't have gotten married without you (literally). Thank you so much for our beautiful ceremony. You will be in our hearts, minds, and spirits, forever.

Marc was an absolute pleasure to work with to make our wedding ceremony special and truly tailored to my husband and I! He is warm and personable, and his methodology to putting together a ceremony is lovely, as he pulled personal stories and thoughts from love letters we wrote to each other. We were also able to customize it from beginning to end and the result was exactly what we were looking for; the right balance of serious and humorous, as well as the right amount of religion based on our preferences (mostly secular with a hint of faith for our more traditional parents, who very much appreciated it!). We're so thankful that we found Marc to officiate our wedding ceremony! It was important to us to have someone who could make our ceremony feel personal. I'm not very religious, but my husband's family is Catholic, and Marc was a perfect combination of expressing faith and also reflecting more non-religious views. After reading prior positive reviews and chatting with him on the phone, we knew he'd be great. We really enjoyed the process of writing love letters, and found many of those details beautifully woven into his ceremony so it was as he knew us. He made our ceremony lighthearted, with plenty of laughs from ourselves and our guests, but equally serious and thoughtful in content and tone. Rev Marc helped make our special day memorable for our family and friends. He made our ceremony unique by incorporating our love letters into our vows. Initially, writing love letters to each other presented as a bit of a challenge (especially if you are not a good writer) but became much more natural and fluid than anticipated. I feel tremendously fortunate to have found Marc. When we first contacted him we had in mind a simple ceremony in the woods without any attendees. With time, we decided to invite several individuals and even conduct the ceremony indoors. Marc was accommodating and allowed us to plan the ceremony that we wanted. And when we changed venue to a place farther away Marc was thoughtful and easy regarding agreeing on a new fee.

As preparation to the wedding he had us write love letters to each other and crafted those into our vows, adding his own personal touch, which we loved. We then edited the vows until we were completely happy with them. I liked that he wanted to get to know us and understand our love for each other, including what it means to us and why we decided to get married at this point in time--all so that he could officiate in a manner that would honor and bless our union.

He upheld a dignified and sanctified atmosphere during the ceremony but was also light and joyous--a combination we loved. And when our five-year-old son was feeling left out and wanted to come forward and say something as the ceremony was coming to an end, Marc invited him closer and helped him feel like he was part of what was happening.

I would not have changed anything that Marc brought into the ceremony and am deeply grateful that we found him. I would recommend him highly to anyone seeking an officiant both joyful and grounded, and to anyone who wishes to add a beautiful spiritual element to their wedding.

Rev Marc is such a genuine and kind-hearted person, and my husband & I are so incredibly lucky and grateful that he was a part of the most important day of our lives! Reverend Marc was amazing! We planned our wedding super last minute and he was willing to accommodate us in every possible way. We had a location picked out and he actually showed us a far better, private, location which was so magical on our wedding day. He had us write love letters to each other that only he would see via email, and then customized beautiful vows for us that made our spontaneous wedding feel more personal and intimate than we could have ever imagined. Rev Marc officiated our wedding last weekend. I couldn't have imagined it to be more perfect. It was a genuine reflection of the two of us and it was so personal. Rev Marc had us write love letters to each other that we gave to Rev a few weeks before our wedding. It might have been my favorite part! It made us stop all the hustle and bustle that takes place right before the wedding, and sit down and remember why all of this was so important. During the ceremony I felt that Rev made a true connection with my husband and I. With the loss of my mother 6 years ago, it was undoubtedly a bittersweet day. Rev spoke from MY heart in all of the ways she was part of our day and lives still. It was personal, genuine, and heartfelt. Everyone raved about our ceremony and how truly special it was. Rev. Marc performed our wedding ceremony a couple months ago and we still receive compliments from our guests on how touching our personalized vows (that Marc put together for us) were. Neither my husband nor I are the romantic type so to have Rev. Marc use letters we wrote to each to other to develop beautiful customized vows was much appreciated.

He is very open to any type of ceremony - it was important to us to build Catholicism into our ceremony for our families since we were not being married in a church. Marc was willing to work with us to create a ceremony not just for us a couple but for our families.

He's also very available for any questions and concerns leading up to your special day. We were a little nervous about standing in front of everyone and so he met with us one last time to ease our fears.

I would highly recommend Marc and if we ever have a vow renewal we will not hesitate to contact him again!

Rev Marc is a great officiant I cannot recommend him enough. Reverend Marc was amazing. My husband and I wanted our wedding, and especially our ceremony, to be small and personal, and we really wanted every detail to mean something to us. The entire process with Reverend Marc was so simple and the ceremony was so perfectly personalized. It was one of my favorite parts of our wedding, and we received so many compliments and so many inquiries as to where we found Rev Marc. Rev Marc's concept behind writing the ceremony really told our story as a couple and was exactly what we wanted - very touching, yet light and fun, which is very much my husband and I. Reverend Marc truly made our wedding ceremony special. He has a way about him that is so peaceful yet very humorous. Reverend Marc was absolutely a pleasure to work with! We decided not to get married in a Church and thought we might miss the personal touch of meeting with someone who got to know us and give us guidance on more than just our ceremony. This was not the case at all. We had a nice long meeting with us where he obviously took a vested interest in us and our relationship .. Then we sent him love letters written to eachother and a story of our love. We chose not to write our own vows- but with these love letters reverend Marc wrote the most beautiful vows using our own words... Much better than I would have been able to do! The power of what he had written brought both of us to tears. About a week later he sent us a copy of the Ceremony to keep. Rev. Marc was amazing. I could not have asked for anything better. He made our ceremony so personal, there wasn't a dry eye in the place... Including my own!!! My family is very religious, but my husband and I are not. Rev. Marc was able to create the perfect balance. Thank you Rev. Marc for making our day so unforgettable.

For our wedding, we knew we'd have the hardest time finding an officiant. With his family catholic and myself not baptized but with strong family ties to the catholic and Christian churches we thought it may be difficult. We met Rev Marc Sabin and knew right away that he was the correct choice for us. He made us feel comfortable and at ease right off the bat. He continued his trait of being easy going through the entire process and quickly answered any questions I had. Only compliments from our families on how wonderful and beautiful our ceremony was. We couldn't of been happier.

Reverend Marc Sabin made our ceremony one to always remember. He listened to how we met, the details of our relationship and what was important to us, and incorporated all of this into our ceremony. He made our ceremony unique and special.

Rev Marc was amazing! He took our thoughts and ideas and turned them into a beautiful and extremely personalized ceremony. Everyone at the ceremony came up to us and expressed how wonderful Rev Marc was and wanted to know where we found him! He also gave us our own copy of the ceremony as a keepsake. He was easy to communicate with throughout the planning process and came up with thoughtful ideas and suggestions. My new husband and I could not have been happier with his services and we highly recommend him!

Rev. Marc Sabin provided a beautiful and intimate ceremony for us! We couldn't have been happier, he worked with us to write our own vows, and he really took the time to personalize the readings.

We had the most memorable glorious wedding day performed by Rev.Marc Sabin. He wrote a beautiful service for us and I cried more than once by little unexpected things he said. We were given the service printed out after as well. Which was really nice to have and reread every moment. We had the most romantic wedding ever. Highly recommend Rev. Sabin!

Marc was awesome!! From the beginning to the actual ceremony, he was kind, listened, personal, and respectful. We actually originally hired a different officiant with whom we had a tough time dealing with & decided to look elsewhere. When we met Marc, we knew he was the one! From our first chats on the phone, to in-person planning, and the ceremony, he was terrific. He asked us to write love letters to one another (without showing them to each other) and then Marc would craft the ceremony readings & vows from those letters. We shared with Marc about our interest in including our daughter in the ceremony, and boy did he do great with including her! The first time we heard his readings/vows was in the ceremony on the big day. It was one the most amazing moments in our life.. and not just because of the marriage :-) The readings were personal and unique. Marc crafted his words very well, he is an artist!! Trust him, choose him; we highly recommend him!

If you are looking for a personalized and unique wedding ceremony, I highly recommend Reverend Marc. My husband and I are spiritual individuals and our families have strong religious ties. Reverend Marc helped us share with our family and friends how we embrace our non-traditional circumstances while expressing our understanding of marriage as a sacred union and lifelong commitment.

We had one face-to-face meeting with Rev Marc and communicated a few times via email. He told us to call him if we needed to discuss any concerns. He asked all the right questions and used our comments and feelings to create a beautiful heartfelt ceremony that had my husband and I, as well as our guests, both laughing and crying. We are still receiving compliments.
