Rev. Lauren Van Ham is a phenomenal wedding officiant. She is thorough, taking time to get to know the couple and gently nudging the couple to share the deeper story of their love. She is an superb guide and hostess. She stays calm and grounded. She has a ton of experience and I would trust her to lead any ceremony. She is able to go with the flow, ease worries, transition easily if needed. We had to bring our wedding in doors at the last minute and she handled that shift with ease, explaining to the guests how what to expect and where to go when. She is delightful to be around and brings meaning and magic to her weddings. HIGHLY recommend. -

Lauren Van Ham was exceptional! My fiancé and I were planning a remote wedding in San Francisco and needed an officiant. I did a lot of searching online and even considered having friend get ordained. Then I came across Lauren’s website and I am so grateful I did. Even though we were remote in Austin, TX, she took the time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple over virtual meetings and email. She listened to what we wanted and what was important to us for our ceremony. Lauren was very professional, down to earth and very calming. We had a lot going on in our lives at the time and she helped create a very personal ceremony that was reflective of us as a couple, our families and a blending of our cultures. Lauren had us fill out questionnaires independently about each other and our relationship, she then wove our answers into the ceremony which added a touching surprise for us both. My husband and I, as well as our guests were deeply moved by how personal and intimate our ceremony was. Everything went so smoothly and I honestly felt no stress about the ceremony. She even provided us with a copy of our ceremony and vows which we thoroughly treasure. Lauren was an integral part of our wedding and we feel so lucky to have found her! -

Wedding of our Dreams!
Lauren made sure we had time to plan every detail, as well as co-create a ceremony than we had dreamt of! Her skills in listening and creative expression made this process simple AND less stressful. We're so glad we chose Lauren to officiate the first day of our life together. She's capable, kind, and responsive. -

We are so grateful that we found Lauren to officiate our wedding. Planning a long-distance wedding from the east coast (with the venue in Berkeley) was nerve-wracking, but Lauren was a very calming presence throughout the whole process. She took the time to get to know us through a Skype call and communicated with us through the process of individualizing our ceremony. As an interfaith minister, Lauren was able to make our ceremony meaningful and memorable for both of our families, despite their different religious beliefs and cultures. But, more importantly she helped us to make our wedding ceremony true to us both as individuals and tell the story of our relationship. -

Personalized Experience
I can not say enough about how much Lauren helped make our wedding day special. Our wedding was the 2nd for both the bride and groom and we are both in our 40's. So, while we wanted a ceremony that had the framework of traditional Christian ceremony we also wanted it to be unique to us and incorporate both of our families. Because we live in a different state than Lauren the planning had to be done via Skype, but somehow she was able to take all our disjointed requests and blend them into a ceremony that we both loved. It really helped that she shared examples from other religious and secular ceremonies she had previously performed. I would not hesitate to recommend her no matter what type of ceremony you are looking for. -

Awesome wedding officiant!
Lauren Van Ham made our wedding very special. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and tended to all of our needs. She had us fill out a worksheet that really solidified what we wanted our wedding to be, and she followed through.
Our wedding was extremely priceless thanks to Lauren. She has a warm smile, and her energy is loving. We recommend her! -
