Kim officiated not one but two of my weddings. I was a "victim" of covid with my wedding being postponed and she was there when I needed her! She helped us elope our June wedding and also officate our November one. Kim is literally the best person hands down. She is so kind, funny and just down to earth. I had the pleasure of getting to know her with the premarital counseling and our two weddings and she truly was a delight. If you are looking for someone that makes your wedding feel special and unique, look no further. -

From the moment we met Kim via Zoom, we felt such warmth from her. Start to finish, she was a such a joy to communicate with. She listened to everything we said and crafted such a moving, humorous, and beautiful ceremony. Most guests came up to us afterwards at some point and said it was the best ceremony they'd ever witnessed, and that was largely due to Kim. She was punctual, attentive, positive, and efficient the whole way through. We LOVE Kim, and you will too! -

Go ahead and hire her already!
When I was researching wedding officiants, I had stumbled upon Kim and was taken aback by the wonderful reviews. I had decided to contact her and was very happy with her response time. Literally so fast! When my husband (then fiancé) and I first met Kim, we were more than pleased with how responsive she was. Kim really cares about her couples…and it shows! On the day of our wedding she was right on time and did such a wonderful job with our ceremony. We had a small, intimate wedding and Kim fit right into our vision. If you haven’t picked an officiant yet, go ahead and choose Kim. You WILL NOT be disappointed.

We chose Rev. Kim for our ceremony and our experience was just fantastic. Leading up to the wedding, Kim was very kind, responsive, and organized. During the ceremony, I felt very at ease when she spoke—she used a perfect, warm tone with a touch of lightheartedness that my family later complimented as well. We expressed concerns that she handled so well, and I ended up not being as nervous as I originally thought I would be, all due to Kim. If you're in the market for a wedding officiant chose Rev. Kim, she is so so so wonderful! 1000/10 -

Kim was an exceptional officiant to work with! We had our first meeting with her virtually to make sure we were a good fit for each other. Our second meeting closer to the wedding, she got to know our story and we hashed out the ceremony plan and she was very understanding of all the little details we wanted. The day of the wedding she arrived early and checked in with both of us. Her speech was lovely and she managed to capture our relationship perfectly while also getting a lot of tears and a few giggles out of the audience. Highly recommend! -

After deciding last minute to pivot from a church ceremony to a civil ceremony, my now husband and I weren't sure where to start in finding an officiant for our November wedding. After reading other reviews here, we thought Kim could be a good fit for us and after meeting her we absolutely KNEW she was the right person to marry us. She took the time to get to know us both and made us feel so comfortable throughout the process. She also took the time to ensure she really understood what elements of the ceremony were important to us to include/incorporate and did a beautiful job the day of in making sure those elements were brought to life in a natural way. If you are looking for an officiant we HIGHLY recommend setting time up with Kim to see if she's the right fit for you as well - we know our big day would not have been the same without her!! -

My husband Philip and I loved having Rev. Kim as our officiant for our ceremony at Lesner Inn! We grew up with different religious backgrounds and decided to have a non-denominational ceremony which Kim was able to accommodate. We were able to Zoom with her a couple times to go over exactly what we wanted said (prayers, vows, exchange of rings, etc.). We were also able to incorporate an ode to hand fasting instead of using something like unity candles. She read a beautiful poem called “Blessing of the Hands” and used her stole to wrap around our hands to join us together. Our ceremony was perfect and exactly how I always wanted it to be! -

From day one she reached out and had so much information and things to choose from . She helped to make this part of the wedding planning easy and gave emotional support when needed and made the ceremony unforgettable. Rev Kim was a dream to work with!
We found Rev Kim after extensive research for an officiant for a small family-only ceremony in September 2021. She responded to my inquiry right away and was amazing to work with from then on out. She really got to know Jared and me as a couple and helped us design our dream ceremony. She was also so detail-oriented; I remember being so impressed that she honed in on things like the phrasing of the question for my dad "who supports this woman in her decision" instead of "who gives this woman away" because to me, that felt outdated! Fast forward to the day itself and she was incredibly flexible as we kept pushing the start time back bit by bit to accommodate running behind schedule, and she greeted us with the calmest, most pleasant demeanor that we were instantly at ease, despite the stress of the day. Rev Kim made the ceremony itself so beautiful and fun, and we'll cherish our day forever! -

We loved Kim!
When I was searching for an officiant I was of course looking at vendors photos and when I saw Kim’s, I immediately knew she was the one! I could instantly tell how kind her soul was from her smile! And I was not let down!!! She was absolutely amazing from start to finish! So incredibly helpful and flexible with helping us decide what we wanted spoken during our ceremony. She offered so many options and truly got to know us to customize our ceremony to us and our relationship. I got so many compliments from my guests on how kind, fun, and professional she was! High Hopes Realized!
When searching for a marriage officiant, we asked for recommendations from a friend who had lived near Virginia Beach for many years. Our friend had taught Kim Hodges in high school and knew that she had entered the ministry. We contacted Kim and delighted in the ease with which our wedding plans came together!
Kim was accommodating, personable, and knowledgeable. She offered a menu of vows and readings which were helpful as we created just the right ceremony. Kim married us on a boat named High Hopes off the coast of Virginia Beach. Our dream of a perfect wedding were realized!
We highly recommend Kim to help you create the perfect experience on your wedding day!

Rev Hodges was absolutely perfect, her suggestions were fabulous and she was very flexible delivering what I wanted for my ceremony. We had hired Kim to be our officiant and couldn't have been more pleased with our choice! She was quick in contact and was with us every step of the way. Her kindness was shining bright in every conversation we had.
Unfortunately, we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19 and Kim was unavailable for our date. We are super sad that we are unable to celebrate our big day with Kim leading the ship, but we are happy we found her none-the-less.
If you stumble across Kim as we did, you will not regret it! She is AMAZING!! -

Rev Kim Hodges was AMAZING
Rev Kim was so much more than just a vendor to us. It was so evident that she really cared about who we were as a couple and wanted to make sure that carried through into what we wanted during the ceremony. She was always smiling and bubbly. Rev Kim Hodges did an excellent job communicating and working with us throughout the entire ceremony planning. She has the perfect bubbly and caring personality that we wanted in an officiant. She even FaceTimed us to get to know "our story" to make the ceremony more personal prior to the event. Such an amazing experience!
Reverend Kim married my husband and myself back in April and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! We met multiple times before the wedding and we're able to get some essential premarital counseling. Kim was always warm, welcoming and understanding. She guided us through some tough opticals that came up weeks before our big day. We were facing the possible loss of a loved one and Kim was right there the entire time guiding us through our emotions and all the "what-ifs". She also did an incredible job with our ceremony. We had structures that crashed in the middle of the ceremony and almost hit my bridal party and without hesitation, Kim made a joke we laughed and kept on rolling! She performed our ceremony better than we could have ever imagined! I HIGHLY recommend her for your wedding! O promise it will be the easiest decision of the whole wedding process (except for saying "I do"!!!) -

Kim was fantastic! We felt so comfortable with her as our officiant. She guided us in creating a wedding ceremony that was our style, really made an effort to get to know us during our Skype session together, and tailored the ceremony to who we are as a couple. She was considerate enough to ask us what she should wear for the ceremony, knowing full well that she would feature in many of the photos our photographer would capture during the ceremony. Kim was calm and commanding during the ceremony, making both of us feel at ease during the ceremony. She was also willing to share the spotlight and let my Dad lead everyone in an opening prayer. She also took care of all of the paperwork and sent in our marriage license for us so we could enjoy our moment right after the ceremony and the first days of our marriage. Kim was excellent and we highly recommend her! -

She offered great starting options for our ceremony and vows and was very supportive of our decisions. Kim worked with us to incorporate our individual changes to the more traditional "unity candle" ceremony and took the time to understand our goals and vision for this meaningful event. She was a perfect addition to our special day and we would recommend her enthusiastically with no reservations. (She was even game for our pup wandering around during the ceremony and our day-of change to our vows!!)
