Reverend Joe Schmidt was an absolutely wonderful officiant for our wedding. He was always quick to respond to any questions we had, and his organization made the entire process so smooth and stress-free. Rev. Joe provided sample ceremony drafts from past weddings, which helped us shape our own ceremony into something personal and meaningful.
On the day of the wedding, he timed everything perfectly and delivered the ceremony with warmth, professionalism, and the perfect tone. He even made sure to mail our marriage certificate promptly so we could simply enjoy the rest of our celebration without worry.

Rev Joe is a True Professional
We used Rev Joe as our officiant for our intimate wedding ceremony. We loved him from the onset because he was so knowledge about the administrative side of the process and able to help guide us through the when and what to ensure we had everything for our wedding day. He has a ton of expertise, from sending us examples from past ceremonies to adding in custom elements specific to our event. The day of the event I was probably most impressed with Rev Joe. We wanted our five year old to be part of the event, Rev Joe went above and beyond to find ways to include him on the fly, he was great about being flexible and knowing where our five year old could get involved beyond the areas we had previously planned on, his ability to know just want the situation called for makes him a true professional.

Rev. Joe was incredible from the moment we messaged him. He first spoke with my cousin (She was in charge of finding the reverend and is very hard to impress). My cousin called me and immediately said I had to speak with Reverend Joe as she thinks she found a winner. BOY WAS SHE RIGHT! Rev. Joe and I had an amazing 20 minute conversation on what I wanted in a wedding ceremony. He help me navigate the tough waters of staying true to what I want and also making my family happy. He had great advice on getting my marriage license fast and also sent me a detailed outline of what our ceremony would look like (a script if you call it that). He was very open to feedback and allowed me and my husband to make edits to include mentions that we really wanted (our dog for example) . He was flexible on the day of my surprise wedding when family was delayed in traffic. My ceremony started 45 minutes late and he was nothing but smiles and kindness. He was in no rush and you could just tell he genuinely wanted to make this day happy and exciting for us. At the end of the ceremony, I had guests approach me and not only ask for his information but ask how we knew him since he knew us as a couple so well. (They thought he came from a church we attended) This goes to show how well he listened during our initial phone call and implemented everything discussed.

Speaking with Joe right off the bat we could tell he was very professional and knew what he was doing. The process is simple and together you curate how you’d like your ceremony to be. Rev. Amazing ceremony!
When I went into panic mode after my officiant cancelled- Rev. Joe truly saved the day! From the first phone call I knew he was meant to perform our ceremony. Joe was kind, funny, knowledgeable, and professional. Throughout the experience from zoom, to working on the ceremony script, to wedding day, Joe took care of everything. He worked with the venue seamlessly and also took care of all the paperwork. He knew who to contact from our town and the town where we needed to file our license after getting married. We are still getting compliments on our ceremony. Would recommend Rev Joe over and over again!

I wish Rev Joe could marry us again!!!
Reverend Joe was a dream officiant for our recent wedding. He was professional, responsive and brought so much personality and humor to our ceremony that we received many compliments from our guests after. This man is GREAT at his job. Rev. Joe was very responsive during the planning process, with an initial planning call and multiple quick edits when they were requested to tailor our wedding ceremony. He provided us with templates and guided us through different components of a wedding ceremony we may want to consider. The day of, he was punctual and brought such great energy to our wedding day that my bridesmaids were raving about him before we even got into the ceremony space. We will forever be thankful for Rev Joe and his services as we start our married lives together. If you are looking for a great officiant, you need look no further!

Wonderful Experience!
My husband and I got married on 1/14/2024. We booked a different officiant in July 2023. Then, one week before the wedding he cancelled on us. He did not even reach out to my then fiancé or I, we just heard from Reverend Joe saying he was given our information by our original officiant. We were very upset and frustrated as it was one week before the wedding and there were enough things to worry about. However, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Reverend Joe was EXTREMELY accommodating and did a fantastic job in marrying my husband and I given the short notice. He sent us his ceremony beforehand and we ended up liking it 10x more than our original officiants. He also let us edit the ceremony to our exact preferences and liking. The ceremony was beautiful and we received so many compliments on it from our guests. It was the perfect way to start off our wedding and more importantly our marriage. We cannot thank Reverend Joe enough!!

Truly cares about his clients and wants to make sure their day is the most special
Rev. Joe was amazing! After the ceremony my family and friends kept asking me how long we knew Rev. Joe….he was so great at learning about us and using that information to make our ceremony as personal as he could. So crazy to think we only met him twice via video conference. He truly cares about his work and making sure his clients are happy with their special day.

Reverend Joseph is fabulous! He ensured that our wedding ceremony would be perfect and it absolutely was perfect. He was timely and his voice is loud and easy to listen to. He offers multiple different ceremony scripts, and the one my husband and I selected was perfect for us! I would 10/10 recommend him to anyone planning a wedding and in need of an officiant. We are so happy we found Rev. Joe to be a part of our big day. He was the best! He is such a friendly and caring person who wanted to make sure our ceremony was the most special. First off, I have to say Rev. Joe is such a wonderful human being. He is kind, down to earth, and extremely patient. He was a huge help to us throughout our planning and our ceremony. He offer us guidance and his experience on the order of events. His ceremonies are tailor-made with a plethora of templates to choose from. Rev. Joe has a presence like straight out of the movies. He takes his time and you can tell he loves what he does. We couldn't recommend someone more. If you need an officiant for your wedding, he's your man!

The Most Beautiful Ceremony
Rev. Joe was absolutely amazing! He made our ceremony so beautiful. Several people came up to us to tell us how great the officiant did and some even said it was the most beautiful wedding ceremony that had ever seen! From day 1 when contacting him he responded right away and the whole time leading up to the wedding day! He was so reliable and made sure we had everything we wanted in the script for our ceremony! We just got married on 9/23 and we cant put into words how wonderful Rev. Joe was. We knew right away from our first meeting with him we had to have him as our officiant . He made it so easy for us because we really had no idea what we were doing . He had examples of ceremonies, ideas to make it our own and had readings that pertained to the type of ceremony we wanted . He was available any time and was so easy to get a hold of if we had any questions ! Rev. Joe made the process so easy to obtain our license as well . I would recommend him to anyone . The best out there!
Originally we were going to have a friend be our officiant and this unfortunately did not work out. A few months before we were supposed to marry we had nobody to marry us and then I found rev. Joe Schmidt. He responded quickly and answered all of the questions I had and with one phone call, I knew he was perfect for our wedding.
During phone calls and zoom sessions, we planned out every single detail, and I was beyond comfortable with going into the ceremony. She implemented personal elements, such as vows to my stepson and honoring my late father.

Rev. Joe was an absolute dream to work with for my husband and I's 12/4 wedding. It was important for my husband and I to have an officiant who is respectful of both of our different religions and Joe was absolutely amazing about this! Rev. Joe was a great mix of professional, funny, nice and personable. Our officiants had covid and Rev. Joe stepped up to take there place for our New Year’s Eve wedding. During our ceremony we felt like we have known him for years, when really we just met a few moments before walking down the aisle. We didn’t want a super serious ceremony and Rev. Trying to find an officiant is so daunting. Lots of people have their loved ones and others spend hundreds and hundreds on an officiant. While it was important to us to find an officiant that would make our ceremony personal we also had a strict budget. Enter Rev Joe, from the very beginning he made the whole experience feel very personal and fun. He always listened to our requests and catered our ceremony to our personalities. The day of the wedding he was very professional and on time and our ceremony was beyond perfect.

As first loves, who reunited after 30+ years, we wanted our wedding ceremony to be intimate, laid back and perfect for us. Not only was he quick to respond, the ceremony script that he sent to us was so well worded & written that we didn't change a thing, it was perfect. We were married on a Sunday, on our 10th floor balcony with 4 close family members & Reverend Joe fit right in. We already knew that the ceremony script was beautifully written, but Reverend Joe's delivery of it was incredible... he is SO GOOD!
He even volunteered to snap some pics for us when the ceremony was over.

Perfect experience!
Rev. Joe is absolutely amazing! He is super responsive and gave us really clear instructions and recommendations in how to structure our ceremony, how to apply/obtain our marriage license & certificate, gave us reminders for the big day etc. We had our initial meeting on zoom and I immediately know that my fiancee (now husband) and I want him to be our officiant. He is very warm, uplifting, humorous, and respectful. He is easily accessible via text & email. He provided some sample ceremony scripts for us to start planning. Through back-and-forth discussions, we have changed most parts from our initial draft, Joe was still very patient and accommodating. Our ceremony was EPIC and everyone enjoyed Joe's welcoming introduction and speech. His voice and the vibes matched perfectly with my venue at Princeton University Chapel, classic, grand, yet also heart-warming. My guests (physical and virtually on zoom) were all very impressed!

Amazing experience

Amazing Experience
My Fiancée (now wife) and I reached out to Rev Schmidt to officiate our wedding and we are extremely glad we did. He guided us step by step through the process, worked up several variations of a wedding script, and was 100% receptive to any and all ideas we had. The best Reverend and Man you will ever meet!
My husband and I waited until the last minute to find a reverend for our wedding, and when choosing one we wanted to make sure that we found someone who would match both of our personalities. From our very first call with Rev. Joe we knew he was the guy for us. He is one of the most professional, personable, and nicest individuals that we have ever come encounter with. We were very stressed that we had waited until the last minuted to find someone and when we connected with Rev. Joe for our first call all of our stresses went away. His calming and professional nature is contagious! During our first call he walked us through the whole process and was so knowledgeable about obtaining the marriage license and the steps that we needed to take and what he would do for us to personalize our ceremony. After our initial call he sent us over some sample ceremonies that he had done and we were blown away. When we met with him via zoom, he went step by step to discuss how we would like to personalize our ceremony and asked at every step of the way what we would like to include and provided us with suggestions. He sent us over our sample ceremony shorty after our the zoom and made the edits that we wanted to include. On the day of the wedding- he arrived a half hour before the ceremony started and called me and my husband to come and introduce himself and say hello (again calming us both down and making us feel so excited and comfortable!!). He did an outstanding job during the ceremony and had such an amazing speaking voice and delivery. We wanted a ceremony that was serious but included some slight humor and he gave us exactly that. He even moved out of the way for our first kiss photos which I didn’t even see until we got out pictures- he is just so professional in every way!! All of our guests commented on how amazing he was. We had only met him for a short time before the wedding but in a way he felt like family haha. Rev. Joe is truly the best and the real deal. His services were just beyond anything that we could have ever imagined and we are so grateful to him for being such an amazing presence on our special day. Thank you so much Rev. Joe!

Rev. Joe married my husband and I on May 26th. Honestly, he deserves 10 stars because he is fabulous! Rev. Joe responded to our inquiry within an hour via phone call and we immediately knew he was the right fit for us. In addition to being responsive, kind, and very profesional, Rev Joe also provided us with a customizable ceremony that best fit US as a couple. Rev. Joe provided his recommendations for a great ceremony while also incorporating aspects we felt were important for our ceremony. We received numerous compliments on our ceremony and Rev. Joe's presentation of the script for our wedding. Rev. Joe also attended our rehearsal for an additional fee and it was totally worth it! We 100% reccomend Rev. Joe for your ceremony!!

When planning our wedding my husband and I had no idea who we wanted or where to start! After a little research my mom came across Rev. Joseph. From the very start he was very welcoming and made the whole process stress free. Our initial meeting was through zoom because of COVID but he didn’t miss a beat. When we finally met him in person at the wedding it felt like he had known my husband and I for years! I think the biggest thing we loved was that our ceremony was the perfect time length and very personable to us. He also provided us with the information we needed to pick up our marriage license. Rev. Joe was incredible to work with! We ended up reaching out to him a month before our wedding due to some unexpected changes and he responded almost immediately! We were stressed out with the timing and he immediately made us feel at ease with the whole process. He was very attentive and responsive to our wants and questions and made sure the day of and the ceremony went perfectly! Many of our guests have since said how much they enjoyed the ceremony set up by Rev. Joe! My husband and I are both Catholic but did not want a church wedding but he incorporated our request for a prayer perfectly into the ceremony. I would happily recommend Rev. Joe to anyone!
