From the start of the process, Fr Shaun was responsive, clear and welcoming. More importantly, he got to know us as a couple to deliver a personal wedding ceremony that was perfect. He lead us through pre-Cana, where we were able to have open conversations about faith which helped to strengthen our relationship even more before our wedding and was a modern approach to Catholicism which fit our values. He made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process and was a calming presence on our wedding day. We would highly recommend him! -

Fr. Shaun was absolutely incredible at our wedding ceremony. Throughout the entire process, he was responsive, professional, and truly invested in making our day special. He took the time to listen to exactly what we wanted and tailored the ceremony to fit us perfectly.

Father Shaun has completely redefined what a wedding ceremony can be — meaningful, joyful, and so full of heart. From the communion ceremony, he captured everyone’s hearts just as Mike and I knew you would. Our friends and family were in awe of how beautiful and touching it all was — they haven’t stopped talking about it since, still laughing, reminiscing, and still tearing up with joy. Those moments were, without a doubt, my favorite part of the entire day. To be surrounded by the people we love most, sharing such sacred, love-filled moments together, was something I’ll cherish forever.
The wedding ceremony itself was truly beyond our wildest dreams. He had every single guest completely captivated, and Mike and I couldn’t stop smiling. Hearing everyone laugh, seeing their joy reflected back at us was everything we hoped for and more. To us, that’s what life is about: being surrounded by love, laughter, and connection.
The personalized ceremony was nothing short of extraordinary. Father Shaun blended our heritages so beautifully, combining together something that felt uniquely ours while including everyone in the room. So many people have told us it was the most beautiful ceremony they’ve ever witnessed, and we wholeheartedly agree.
We are endlessly grateful and feel so incredibly blessed that Father Shaun was part of the most important day of our lives. And more than that, we’re excited to have him in our lives for all the moments still to come. -

Amazing!
Father Shaun was absolutely wonderful! We had an interfaith ceremony and he was incredible from beginning to end. He was so kind and understanding with all of the requests and ideas we had. He was genuine and truly cared about us and our experience planning our wedding. Working with Father Shaun was so easy and he was so responsive to our emails and zoom calls. Our conversations were meaningful and centered around doing what was best for us. He was over the top amazing and we cannot recommend him enough. Our wedding ceremony was beautiful and we can’t thank Father Shaun enough! -

He was incredibly communicative and helpful from the beginning, and he crafted a beautiful ceremony that was both traditional and personalized to us. Father Shaun was absolutely amazing to work with. As we live down south, we were not able to meet him until the wedding day. That being said he was super flexible with us and was very quick with communicating. We were able to talk with him on the phone about our vision for our wedding and he was able to customize it to how we wanted it. We were also able to complete the pre-marital counseling via video chat. Father Shaun is so easy to talk to and is so easy going which made us feel so comfortable during this process. The way he led the ceremony was better than we ever could have asked for. It was very sweet and personal, while also keeping the traditional church ceremony present as well, which was what we wanted. I would 100% recommend Father Shaun as your wedding officiant!!.

Father Shaun guided my husband and I through the beautiful sacrament of marriage. He was so easy to work with during pre canna and the days leading up to our marriage. He worked with us to find perfect times that fit both of our schedules. He helped us to reflect on marriage and communication, and he made us feel at ease. He performed our ceremony so beautifully. He understands how stressed a bride can be, and he provided detailed emails with what I needed regarding the marriage certificate. He truly was a wonderful part of our day, and we are so thankful that he was there. -

Great Personalized Experience
Rev. Dr. Shaun Ake-Little was the perfect choice for me and my husband. He made settling all necessary details simple with many great suggested options as well as the complete flexibility to make our own custom selections, such as readings, and he makes it clear customization requests are not seen as burdensome but rather preferred as his goal is to make each wedding as personal to the couple as possible. In our case, this involved adding a portion to the ceremony customary to my husband's ethnicity. Rev. Dr. Shaun Ake-Little not only took our notes on the details of that custom and its significance but he also did independent research on the subject, helping to round out details we may have missed otherwise. The counseling session put us at ease. We instantly felt comfortable and were even able to conduct the counseling session via facetime.
We could go on and on about the many ways Rev. Dr. Shaun Ake-Little ensured our wedding day was special and unique to us but the most important thing we can say to summarize our experience with him was he was friendly, accommodating, professional and we would highly recommend him to any couples in the area looking to get married! -

Fr. Shaun was incredibly easy to work with and performed an unforgettable ceremony for our wedding! He helped us through the pre-Cana and was able to help us have a modern Catholic ceremony that allowed us our personal touch. That combination is something we will never forget and heard reflected from dozens of attendees at our ceremony. Incredible Experience
Father Shaun was more than just an officiant for our wedding. He was able to guide my partner and I through pre-cana and also helped me to get baptized before my wedding.
He was always responsive and available. He helped create our ceremony to be exactly what we wanted, sending us the script ahead of time and making any edits we had. He also is very accepting. Being part of the Progressive Catholic Church, his views and teachings aligned perfectly with what we were looking for; a traditional feel with modern values. Considering I was raised nondenominational christian and my partner traditional catholic.
The most common compliment from our day was that our ceremony was beautiful and fit us perfectly. Father Shaun was 100% the perfect choice!
We highly recommend Father Shaun for your ceremony or even as a priest! Working with him and his parish was an incredible experience from start to finish. -

Our ceremony was perfect!
Going with Father Shaun for our wedding was the best decision we made. Our ceremony was beautiful and well organized. He also considered our wants and needs for the ceremony and made it perfect for us. He also helped so much getting a Marriage license in NJ and walked us through it. Working with him for our wedding day was great and made our wedding day perfect!!! -

What can I say! Father Shaun puts more than time and effort; he dedicates! I was so happy to find a priest that could marry us after so many failed attempts due to Covid. Amazing priest for our small, outdoor wedding
Father Shaun was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding. Despite the short notice and difficulties from covid-19, he helped us have the wedding of our dreams. He was very responsive and helpful. Our pre-wedding counseling was not only helpful but actually enjoyable. We loved how he individualized our ceremony for us, while still keeping the traditional Catholic wedding feel that we were looking for. We would absolutely recommended Father Shaun! -

Just wonderful
It was so lovely to have Father Shaun officiate our ceremony. Because of COVID, we were only able to meet him through zoom. We just felt so welcomed by him every time we talked. We wanted a traditional ceremony that was also personalized to us. He was able to do both. Our families were so pleased and we got so many compliments on how wonderful our ceremony was. We are so grateful to have met him! -
