Amazing 5 stars
This weekend I celebrated my wedding outside with the beautiful peak fall colors. My husband and I managed to get engaged and married within two months. Andrea and her father were absolutely hands down the most flexible and kind catering company we have EVER worked with.
My guest LOVED their food, and everyone left happy and full. As a bride and now wife I would like to say thank you so much for all that you two did for our special day. Not only did you make our dreams come true, but you truly made everything stress free.
I also would like to say thank you to your staff that helped out and the bartenders who were speedy and happy go lucky. I will forever be grateful for such a perfect day. Amazing Food and a Wonderful, Helpful Caterer
Reuland's Catering was amazing from start to finish. Andrea made sure we had the right food we wanted at a price we wanted to spend. She was so flexible and helpful and the food was absolutely amazing. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was.
We would recommend Reuland's Catering a thousand times over to anyone looking for an extremely professional, friendly, helpful and flexible caterer to provide delicious food that is sure to leave your friends and family happy.

Our dinner was exceptional and left a great impression on our guests, and we have Reuland's to thank. From the get-go, Andrea helped us develop a menu that was "simple elegance" -- not enough to break the bank, but enough to sit a step above common wedding buffets in Wisconsin. The mostaccioli and stuffed chicken were big hits--we had family asking Reuland's for the recipe and thanking the staff profusely. One guest called it the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. Andrea checked in with us frequently and even filled my elderly grandmother's plate for her. We can't imagine a smoother operation and this was one of the very best choices we made for our wedding day.Our dinner was exceptional and left a great impression on our guests, and we have Reuland's to thank. This is the 3rd time I've hired Reuland's Catering. This time for my daughter's wedding reception on Sept. 1st. As always with Reuland's, the entire event went off without a hitch. Andrea is so easy to work with, has great ideas and insight and helps you plan down to the smallest detail. The venue was opened to us the day before to decorate and Andrea even gave suggestions on how to display some décor to make it "pop!" The whole planning of the menu, table set-up, place settings was effortless on our part. She took my daughter's vision and color scheme and created an absolutely beautiful scene. The hors d'oeuvres and dinner were fabulous as always. Dan is such a great chef. Stress-free and smooth. I recommend Reuland's to cater your special event. Thank you again, Dan and Andrea, for another beautiful, delicious and memorable event.
As an addendum, when the cake was delivered from the baker, it was leaning and sliding to one side. Andrea addressed this with the delivery driver and then contacted the manager of the bakery and asked her come to the venue to see for herself the disastrous condition the cake had arrived in. She got a business card from the manager and was instructed to give it to me to address the situation directly. Andrea did not have to do this, but she looks out for her clients/guests. Reulands was the best decision my now husband and I could ever have made. All the food was hot, flavorful and perfect. I used Reuland's for my wedding this past weekend and cannot say enough good things about them. Andrea was a blessing through the entire process. She suggested food that we never would have picked, but was totally our style. She helped us perfect the menu after going back and forth several times. I think almost every guest told us how amazing the food was. Andrea's dad ended up being the one at the wedding, but andrea stopped by in the morning to congratulate us and make sure everything was just how we wanted it. Her dad stood out in the rain all evening grilling for our guests. They even hauled the leftover food to our room so we didn't have to deal with it inthe middle of the ceremony. Guests went up for seconds and even thirds! I just can't say enough about this duo. We can highly recommend this catering company for any of your event planning needs. The staff along with the ownership was extremely pleasant, the food was excellent, and the overall friendliness made our event successful. It's been a few weeks since our event and people are still talking about how great the food was. We can't thank the staff enough for the hospitality and once again a great successful job they did for our large group

Reuland's Catering is wonderful! The food was amazing and we heard great feedback from many of our guests on how much they loved the food and enjoyed the experience. We had a grill style buffet and it was perfect for our setting. Andrea is great to work with, she is flexible, focused on making sure you have a good event, and just overall a fun person to work with for your wedding. When I first spoke with Andrea Reuland I was confident that I was going to have the best catering experience. I had tried food at other caterers in the Northwoods, which are limited to being with and all of them quite frankly had terrible “supper club” food or were too overpriced. Not only did Reuland’s provided the most outstanding food for our wedding, but they were relatively more reasonably priced. Communication was impeccable as well, they always returned my phone calls and were available to answer any questions I had. Andrea even gave me her personal cell phone number- that’s what I call personalized service! She would update me about various things along the way and sent me pictures of sample napkin designs, etc. I got so many compliments on the outstanding food and appetizers throughout the night! My guests LOVED being able to walk up to the grill to choose how they wanted their steak prepared. I was a little weary of a buffet style, but it really worked out and turned out amazing. We were worried, because Angela, who works for Reuland's, had received some not so nice reviews. Someone must have had a grudge against her, because she was nothing but kind, attentive and helpful! The food was superb, the service excellent, and Dan went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly. He even added extra little touches to make the event special. Reuland's Catering provided our wedding with the best wedding food anyone has ever tasted in our area... normally we see cold plated food, or mushy food on a buffett. Ours was fresh chicken and burgers off the grill (which they brought on site) and a bunch of light side salads/fruit, oh yeah and cheese potatos which were out of this world!! I never heard more compliments about wedding food before, so glad it was my wedding. Best Food I've ever had at a wedding!
That is exactly what almost every guest at our wedding said. We opted for the BBQ at our wedding since we have always been known to invite friends/family over to grill.
The chicken (even the breast meant) was moist and the ribs were spectacular. Andrea went out of her way to make sure the day was picture perfect laying out the linens and china on the morning of my wedding. In addition, as a special wedding gift from them we received a couple of extra side salads which received a ton of compliments as well.
The food was just as tasty the next day where we had more family and friends over to celebrate our nuptials!

In the end using this caterer was a fantastic experience. I did take issue with delayed communication and responses to questions (sometimes 2 weeks for a response). I understand that there is a more relaxed nature in The Northwoods, and this is a busy business, but at times, I was very frustrated with this slow communication. Communication seemed more prompt via phone, versus email. In person, working with Andrea was a joy. She was so helpful with ideas on the setup of our reception space and do's and dont's for centerpieces. She was kind and cheery. The food was fantastic, the servers were professional and prompt. Although I gave them a low rating, Reuland's had AMAZING food! I was very worried about the food prior to the wedding, but I had nothing to be concerned about.
The low rating was because of their responsiveness. I was blown off by them multiple times when trying to contact. They were slow to get final pricing to me and didn't bother to show up to our tasting to answer questions.
I ended up working with them through my wedding coordinator. If I did not have the coordinator I would not have worked with them.

Please avoid this headache
Hey future bride, congrats on your upcoming wedding! Would you like to book a caterer WHO IS A NO SHOW FOR YOUR WEDDING? Would you like to spend the 48 hours leading up to your wedding calling them incessantly, leaving voicemails after voicemail, visiting their physical location (which was locked and closed)? If you answered yes to any of the above, then you should book Reuland’s for your wedding! That’s right. Reuland’s was a no show for our wedding.
Let me walk you through my experience. I first started talking to Andrea about the prospect of catering my wedding. Phone calls were answered and she was responsive, even “throwing in a free water service for you” wink wink. I paid my deposit and thought nothing of it. A few months prior to the wedding, I’m calling to try and figure out when to finalize details. I called and called, left voicemails, sent emails, etc. After about a week of doing this, I hear back from Andrea Reuland. She was dismissive, almost laughing at my desire to talk about final details. I brushed it off. A week before my wedding, I went through this game again. At this point, Reuland’s still did not have my final count (how many steaks vs salmon, how many people in total, how many place settings I would need, where to park, when to show up for my wedding). After some convincing, Andrea told me that she would come to our wedding venue 2 days before the wedding date to finalize details. When I asked for a time, I was told “oh, i’ll give you a call in the morning and we can see how the day goes”…ok, fine. My wedding was a Sunday and Reuland’s was planning to come by the venue on Friday. Friday comes around, I’m sitting at our venue all day waiting for a phone call. I call Reuland’s, I leave voicemails, I leave emails, my husband goes to their actual location in downtown Minocqua. Nothing.
The kicker? The blamed me for not calling Andrea’s cell phone - a number I was never given. The excuse was another wedding took precedent over mine and had some unforeseen changes. I’m understanding. Give me a call if you can’t show up on Friday and perhaps we can reschedule to Saturday. We can even discuss final details over the phone! But give me a call. Let me know and communicate with me. Instead, as the bride, I was chasing Reuland’s down every step of the way AND they didn’t show up.
We brought this up to our photographer as well. When we told her that our caterer didn’t show up, she immediately said, “Was it Reuland’s?!” She knew and shared that for another wedding she photographed just a few weeks before ours, they were 2 hours late the day of the wedding and were setting up the table as people were already seated for dinner.
So brides, beware. I truly hope my experience serves as an example for future brides to stay away. This is the only consolation I’m taking away from this situation - perhaps I can prevent another bride from going through what I went through. She was dismissive, almost laughing at my desire to talk about final details. I brushed it off. A week before my wedding, I went through this game again. At this point, Reuland’s still did not have my final count (how many steaks vs salmon, how many people in total, how many place settings I would need, where to park, when to show up for my wedding). After some convincing, Andrea told me that she would come to our wedding venue 2 days before the wedding date to finalize details. When I asked for a time, I was told “oh, i’ll give you a call in the morning and we can see how the day goes”…ok, fine. My wedding was a Sunday and Reuland’s was planning to come by the venue on Friday. Friday comes around, I’m sitting at our venue all day waiting for a phone call. I call Reuland’s, I leave voicemails, I leave emails, my husband goes to their actual location in downtown Minocqua. Nothing.
The kicker? The blamed me for not calling Andrea’s cell phone - a number I was never given. The excuse was another wedding took precedent over mine and had some unforeseen changes. I’m understanding. Give me a call if you can’t show up on Friday and perhaps we can reschedule to Saturday. We can even discuss final details over the phone! But give me a call. Let me know and communicate with me. Instead, as the bride, I was chasing Reuland’s down every step of the way AND they didn’t show up.
We brought this up to our photographer as well. When we told her that our caterer didn’t show up, she immediately said, “Was it Reuland’s?!” She knew and shared that for another wedding she photographed just a few weeks before ours, they were 2 hours late the day of the wedding and were setting up the table as people were already seated for dinner.
So brides, beware. I truly hope my experience serves as an example for future brides to stay away. This is the only consolation I’m taking away from this situation - perhaps I can prevent another bride from going through what I went through.
